  • This paper presents requirements for workflow management systems supporting CITIS. We propose an architecture of global workflow management system which aims at supporting external workflow among different organizations rather than internal one. The architecture consists of five key elements, that is process definition language, process graphic design tool, control engine, status monitoring tool, and interface models. For each of these elements, implementation requirements are presented and its major functions are described. A key concept to the CITIS standard is the integration of disparate systems in distributed environment. This leads us to place a special emphasis on the interface models that can enhance the interoperability between externally participating workflow systems. Two interface models for the global workflow management system are explained. CORBA, the most widely accepted standard for distributed object management, can be adopted to facilitate the integration. World Wide Web can be used for the underlying platform on which information is exchanged and the status of processes instances is monitored. The workflow management system can provide a ready and easy access to and management of the data for CALS environments.

  • It was on the rise importantly to provide the efficient management process of the organization for dealing with the change about information and business management quickly and consistently. It was suggested with the architectural model on information technology to provide it in theoretically. The Federal Government and budget organization of the USA used it on actual business and the terms of EA (Enterprise Architecture) and are raising the efficiency of management. NCA (National Computerization Agency) of Korea published the book - "The Research about establishing ITA (Information Technology Architecture) and appling the standards". After being applied the model on MOGAHA (Ministry of Government Administration and Home Affairs) and MIC(Minisstry of Information and Communication), the concrete case was made. MOMAF (Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries) drove the leading model. The report ascertained the basic contents of ITA and researched the case of USA, MOGAHA, MIC, and tried to analyze the contents of appling maritime and fisheries area. The report contained the definition of purpose through analyzing environment and establishing the vision and the principles based on them. The report also contained the contents of architecture based on the standard of NCA - "The Government Standard Meta Model version 2.0" - and researched the MOMAF's Reference model using Government Reference model. The report established the investment architecture and the process of information technology asset management. • Remanufacturing is one of the most important resource recycling technology in response to resource depletion and environmental pollution. Domestic remanufacturing industry don't invigorate compared to other advanced countries because of low price and reliability of remanufactured product. In this study, remanufactured hydraulic pump and solenoid valve were evaluated durability by accelerated life test. In order that standard remanufacturing process was developed by core analysis and failure mode and effect analysis. And cores were remanufactured by standard remanufacturing process. For accelerated life test, the evaluation item and criteria were deduced by results of FMEA, reliability standards and enterprise interior criteria. To evaluate durability of remanufactured product, the remanufactured hydraulic pump and solenoid valve were evaluated performance after accelerated life test and the results were satisfied with criteria. This study showed that remanufactured products have a similar level of durability to new products by definition of remanufacturing.

  • The Korea Adaptation Center for Climate Change (KACCC) located in Korea Environment Institute has serviced a climate change vulnerability assessment support tool (VESTAP) since 2014 in order to help local governments to establish their own adaptation plans. Owing to its easy usage, the VESTAP has been utilized by not only local governments but also academia for examination of climate change vulnerability in various fields. However, the KACCC has not suggested a standard usage how to compose indices for climate exposure, sensitivity, and adaptation capacity which are main components of vulnerability although the KACCC manages operation and application of the VESTAP. Many users had no choice but to compose indices based on their own interpretation on the components of vulnerability. This technical note suggests the standard usage of VESTAP by reevaluating some vulnerability assessments previously developed. This may help users to correctly compose indices for climate change vulnerability assessment, and may minimize possibility of inter-user inconsistency in definition of vulnerability assessments.

  • In this paper, I introduce the development of a system to register Korean standard technical terms which are corresponded with English electronical terminologies on the Electropedia of the International Electronical Committee(IEC). In 2016, this project was started with the permission of registration at the Technical Committee 1 of the $80^{th}$ IEC General Meeting in Frankfurt, Germany. The work was consisted of 3 parts, the 1st step was gathering Korean vocabularies and building a databse for the translation of English terms of International Electronical Vocabulary(IEV) into Korean terms, the 2nd step was to find correct or proper Korean term which is in accord with each English term of IEV on the Electropedia. In this step, members of Korean TC 1 worked for search proper Korean terms using developed computer programs and databases which were made of Korean electronical dictionaries. After selection of proper terms, they did the cross-checking work for Korean terms each other. The last step was to register all of these Korean terms on the Electropedia. As a result, 20,766 Korean electronical terms were registered on the Electropedia in 2017. In the future, it is needed that the definition of English technical terms are translated into Korean.

  • Purpose: Severe acute malnutrition (SAM) is an important public health problem which contributes to significant number of under five deaths. Protocol based management significantly decreases risk of deaths in children with medical complications. Methods: Outcome of children aged 2 months-5 years admitted and fulfilling definition of SAM having diarrhea (group A) was compared to children with SAM having medical complications other than diarrhea (group B). Both groups were managed according to standard recommended protocols and monitored and followed up for 12 weeks after discharge. Results: The average weight gain, defaulter rate, primary failure, secondary relapse rate and readmission rate were similar in both groups. Length of stay in group A was three days longer (p-value=0.039). Discharge rate was comparable with overall 68% of children successfully discharged and 50% of children reaching weight/height > -2 standard deviation at follow-up of 12 weeks. Conclusion: The current management protocol is equally effective for managing children with SAM having diarrhea. Good adherence to management protocol of dehydration and timely modification of therapeutic feeds in children with persistent diarrhea results in satisfactory weight gain.

  • In Korea, primary school (also junior high school) is compulsory and free since 2004. But it looks high school is also compulsory, as over 80% of adults has a high school diploma currently. For 20 years improving high school education is only education-oriented, rather than occupation-oriented. And, the mismatch between the occupational requirement and the lesson from school is getting larger. To resolve this issue, the Korean government builds and utilizes National Competency Standards(NCS) to realize a competence-oriented society. With NCS, the government enables to run of a work-study program and tries to suggest the fundamental solution to improve occupational ability and the unemployment of young people. However, the prejudice against the education level and occupation is still engrained, and it is hard to match the education-career-qualification based on NCS. Therefore, we study NCS from the definition to the utilization, suggest an improving method to flexibly utilized the standards in the fields, and continuously improve and develop the NCS.

  • Purpose: A modern greenhouse consists of various Information and Communications Technology (ICT) components e.g., sensor nodes, actuator nodes, gateways, controllers, and operating softwarethat communicate with each other. The interoperability between these components is an essential characteristic for any greenhouse control system. A greenhouse control system could not work unless the components communicate via common interfaces. The TTAK.KO-06.0288 is an interface standard consisting of four parts. Notably, TTAK.KO-06.0288-Part3, which describes the interface between a greenhouse operating system (GOS) and a greenhouse control gateway (GCG), is the core standard of TTAK.KO-06.0288. The objectives of this study were to analyze the TTAK.KO-06.0288-Part3 standard, to suggest alternative solutions for identified issues, and to develop a library as a proof of the alternative solutions. Methods: The "data field" was analyzed using a comparative analysis method, since it is a data transmission unit of TTAK.KO-06.0288-Part3. It was compared with other parts of TTAK.KO-06.0288 in terms of definition, format, size, and possible values. Although TTAK.KO-06.0288-Part1 and TTAK.KO-06.0288-Part2 do not use a "data field," they have a similar data structure. That structure was compared with the "data field" of TTAK.KO-06.0288-Part3. Results: Twenty-one issues were identified across four categories: inter-standard issues, intra-standard issues, operational issues, and misprint issues. Since some of the issues can raise interoperability problems, 16 alternative solutions were suggested. In order to prove the alternative solutions, an open-source communication library called libtp3 was developed. The library passed 14 unit tests and was adapted to two research. Conclusions: Although TTAK.KO-06.0288-Part3 is an interface standard for communication between a GOS and a GCG, it might not communicate between different implementations because of the identified issues in the standard. These issues could be solved by the alternative solutions, which could be used to revise TTAK.KO-06.0288. In addition, a relevant organization should develop a program for compatibility testing and should pursue test products for smart greenhouses.
