  • The systematic classification of database technologies is being much debated issue currently in the telecommunication and database industry. Such a rapid requirement toward standard classification model will enable many experts to characterize database technologies. The purpose of this study is to obtain a general overview and suggest a draft for the development of standard model associated with classification. This presented model is concentrating on information and database system. This presentation is catalogued by 5 subjects such as : general overview, information distribution, information retrieval systems, database systems, peripheral aspects related to database.

  • According to computer-based life style and computer networking system is generalized, the construction of information system based on the construction of database is one of the major jobs in the design field. The construction of standard database system is one of the major factors to build the information infra and develop design field as knowledge-base industry. However, the construction of user-based dassification of database is prior to that of standard design database system. This study presents the possibility of the construction of user-friendly and standard database system by studying the dassification system of database.

Optimization Condition for Injection Molding of TV Speaker Grille Using CAE (CAE를 이용한 TV Speaker Grille 사출 성형의 최적화)

  • The optimization condition of injection molding for a commercial product of TV speaker grille of A Company was induced using a CAE software of Moldflow. The flow and packing phase analysis was performed by using flow balance, runner balance, and the intermediate one by using the above two balances, which were used for controlling the amount of packing resins into the cavity, Later, the analysis performed by using the measured viscosity (local database) at various shear rates and the results were compared with the computer simulation using the standard database. Flow balance induced minimized weld line resulted in a better appearance and physical properties of the were line, but exhibited a disadvantage of large deformation and gas formation due to over-packing of the molten resin in the center of the speaker grille. Runner balance improved the disadvantage of the flow balance by controlling the amount of molten resin injected from the gate, however resulted reduced mechanical properties and poor appearance of the weld line. However, the modified method induced from the flow and runner balance improved the disadvantages by changing the runner size. In addition, the analyses based on the local database and the standard database were compared. Although the measured viscosity was slightly higher and the temperature distribution was broader than the standard database, no distinct difference was obtained from the analysis using the two different databases.

  • Background : Demands have increased for a variety of welfare services and customized services for persons with disabilities(PWD). A management System focused on PWD was needed to provide for comprehensive services. The purpose of this study was to design a disability database and an application system in order to provide continuous and comprehensive rehabilitation service for PWD. Methods : We analyzed local and abroad disability-related policies and systems and derived the contents that should be included in the integrated database for PWD through a survey among rehabilitation specialists. Result : The integrated database for PWD was composed of 7 categories including General Characteristics, Health & Medicine, Assistance, Education, Employment, Economics and Daily & Social Life. The applicable system of integrated database for PWD was proposed to help conducting policies in such areas as follows ; 'welfare', 'education and culture', 'economic activity', 'social participation' and 'Health'. Conclusion : The main goal of disability policy and strategy should be established by systematically analyzing disability-related data integrating database of PWD. Accordingly, specific objectives and directions for disability policies should be set and efficiently managed and operated. The integrated database for PWD may be utilized for disability-related policies and service monitering, sustainable and integrated management and community participation and integration based on the rights of the disabled.

  • Engineering database for CIM of injection mold production has been developed to manage design information and parameters of injection mold. The database has direct connection with product data management system and management database. Design specifications are generated in initial stage of mold design with integration of management information. Design parameters and bill of materials for mold base parts are generated during the CAD process and transferred to the manufacturing database and procurement system. Standard modules for parts and mold base are constructed using national standard and legacy data of industries. The engineering database provides important information route for CIM of injection mold design and production.

  • To transmit multimedia information efficiently and use it in realtime, it needs a private multimedia terminal for service type. But multimedia information terminal was developped for of offered service type in case by case. Accordingly, general multimedia terminal have not been developed yet. Multimedia database structure and standard communication protocol must be designed first to develop the general multimedia terminal. Multimedia database structure needs to store the various multimedia information consistently and, standard communication protocol access the database transparently. In this paper, we design a multimedia database structure and communication protocol that are able to access the multimedia information on distributed database servers in the network.

  • Outfitting systems in marine vessels have many kinds of standard parts. Ship CAD system should support the designers with an efficient tool for the modeling of outfitting parts such as pipes and valves. We develop a practical procedure for a part master model that combines ship CAD systems with the industrial standard. Part master or catalogue database of standard equipments is included in the database of ship CAD. The part master makes the associations of three dimensional modeling with the industrial standard. Moreover, it reflects the automatic modeling to maintain attributes that are disclosed in the entity of each part master in order to reduce the modeling time. Entity and attributes of pipe and valves are chosen from JIS(Japanese Industrial Standards) in order to explain the proposed procedure. Suggested procedure explains that three dimensional model of equipment is generated by parsing the pre-defined attributes after the entities of part masters is stored in database.

  • The standardization of Intelligent Transport Systems(ITS) technique should secure a interoperability among the different softwares or hardwares on ITS service. The domestic standard research takes the advantage of a preoccupation on the world ITS market through the international standard(IS) reflecting the domestic technique. The objective of this research focused on the database technology for ITS is to introduce the domestic standard activity for adopting ISs and the current interior corresponding situation against ISs. The first step, we analyze the international standardization action through gathering and investigating the up-to-date issues and documentations focused on ISO/TC204 WG3. And then, we look into the domestic situation about TTA ITS PG 310 and ITS Korea. consequently, a synthetic view, we have analyzied, how interior standard corresponds with the international standards, and how the standard establishing process is being done. The expectation of this research is to help understanding the up-to-date domestic/international standardization and the situation of the standard action related with the database technology for ITS. Also, we take advantage of this result to encourage the international competitiveness on ITS market.

  • This study is aimed at utilizing LCA processor with BIM LOD, eliciting the problems of the existing environmental assessment by constructing the database for environmental values of green buildings. For these objects, environmental load database of BIM construction material and evaluation process are presented, after matching BIM family based environmental load database which is available during evaluation stage, input-output tables and Korea LCI database to standard item code of public procurement service. It is a important factor in environmental assessment of building to develop database unit of standard item code for BIM and construction material. Thus, the results of this study are expected to provide basic data for improving effectiveness of construction through BIM based environmental load evaluation database. Furthermore, the provided environmental load database unit for construction material is considered to be available as basic information for BIM study by suggesting a processor connecting BIM with LCA and along with this, continuous examination on the connection process is needed.
