  • Supernovae classes have been defined phenomenologically, based on spectral features and time series data, since the specific details of the physics of the different explosions remain unrevealed. However, the number of these classes is increasing as objects with new features are observed, and the next generation of large-surveys will only bring more variety to our attention. We apply the machine learning technique of multi-label classification to the spectra of supernovae. By measuring the probabilities of specific features or 'tags' in the supernova spectra, we can compress the information from a specific object down to that suitable for a human or database scan, without the need to directly assign to a reductive 'class'. We use logistic regression to assign tag probabilities, and then a feed-forward neural network to filter the objects into the standard set of classes, based solely on the tag probabilities. We present STag, a software package that can compute these tag probabilities and make spectral classifications.

  • Pediatric central nervous system (CNS) vascular malformations are a group of abnormal blood vessel formations within the brain or spinal cord in children. The most crucial point of pediatric CNS vascular malformation is that no golden standard classifications exist. In addition, there is a big gap in knowledge and the viewpoint of clinicians, radiologists, and pathologists. In addition, many genes associated with pediatric CNS vascular malformation, such as Sturge-Weber-Dimitri syndrome with guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(q) subunit alpha (GNAQ) gene mutation, and cavernous malformations with cerebral cavernous malformations 1 (CCM1), CCM2, and CCM3 gene mutation, were recently revealed. For proper therapeutic approaches, we must understand the lesions' characterizations in anatomical, morphological, and functional views. In this review, the author would like to provide basic pediatric CNS vascular malformation concepts with understandable diagrams. Thus, the author hopes that it might be helpful for the proper diagnosis and treatment of CNS pediatric vascular malformations.

  • In Korea, fee-for service reimbursement has been adopted from the begining of medical insurance system in 1977, and the importance of the relative value unit is currently being investigated. The purpose of this study was to find out the level of propriety of the difference in the fees for different surgical services, and the appropriateness of the classification of the insurance fee schedule. For the purpose of this study, specific subjects and the procedural methodology is shown as follows: 1. The propriety of the Relative Price System(RPS). 1) Choice of sample operations. In this study, sample operations were selected and classified by specialists in general surgery, and the number of items they classified were 32. For the same group of operations the Insurance Fee Schedule(IFS) classified the operations into 24 separate items. In order to investigate the propriety of the RPS, one of the purpose of this study, was to examine the 24 items classified by the IFS. 2) Evaluation of the complexity of surgery. The data used in this study was collected The data used in this study was collected from 94 specialists in general surgery by mail survey from November I to 15, 1986. Several independent variables (age, location, number of bed, university hospital, whether the medical institution adopt residents or not) were also investigated for analysis of the characteristics of surgical complexity. 3) Complexity and time calculations. Time data was collected from the records of the Seoul National University' Hospital, and the cost per operation was calculated through cost finding methods. 4) Analysis of the propriety of the Relative Price System of the Insurance Fee Schedule. The Relative Price System of the sample operation was regressed on the cost, time, comlexity relative ,value system (RVS) separately. The coefficient of determination indicates the degree of variation in the RPS of the Insurance Fee Schedule explained by the cost, time, complexity RVS separately. 2. The appropriateness of the classification of the Insurance Fee Schedule. 1) Choice of sample operations. The items which differed between the classification of the specialist and the classification of medical, Insurance Fee Schedule were chosen. 2) Comparisons of cost, time and complexity between the items were done to evaluate which classification was more appropriate. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows: 1. The coefficient of determination of the regression of the RPS on-cost RVS was 0.58, on time RVS was 0.65, and on complexity RVS was 0.72. This means that the RPS of Insurance Fee Schedule is improper with respect to the cost, time, complexity separately. Thus this indicates that RPS must be re-shaped according to the standard element. In this study, the correlation coefficients of cost, time, complexity Relative Value System were very high, and this suggests that RPS could be reshaped I according to anyone standard element. Considering of measurement, time was thought to be the most I appropriate. 2. The classifications of specialist and of the Insurance Fee Schedule were compared with respect to cost, time, and complexity separately. For complexity, ANOVA was done and the others were compared to the different values of different classifications. The result was that the classification of specialist was more reasonable and that the classification of Insurance Fee Schedule grouped inappropriately several into one price unit.

  • Specification is an important document for securing safe construction and improving quality as well as the contract document. Currently, the specifications used in modular buildings in Korea are only the construction specification, and most of the contents are used by borrowing the standard specifications of the building, so the contents of the modular buildings can not be reflected and it is contents are similar to the guideline book. The current status of domestic specification for modular buildings is affecting the quality of modular buildings. Therefore, we analyze activity through monitoring the modular process of modular buildings and analyze systematically relationship by applying IDEF modeling with analyzed activity. As result this paper proposes a structure of special specification specialized in modular building through generalization. The major classifications were divided into three stages : factory construction, transportation, and on-site installation. The specification structure was divided into 32 types of construction items from the floor slab assembly of the factory production to the joint finish of the on site installation in accordance with the opinion of experts.

  • The Industrial Classification is a systematic taxonomy of industrial activities and the Standard Industrial Classification is used in all country by their own a consistent classification method. Therefore, it is employed to analyze current status of industry affairs using statistical investigations in terms industrial activities for making industrial policies and to compare industrial activity among countries. Since the Second Industrial Revolution, the need for the homogenous standard of industrial classification among countries emerged as the economic and industrial exchanges between the countries have became more active. In 1940, Colin Clark who british economist divided the industry into the first (primitive), second (processed), and third (service) industries. Based on this, the United Nations Office for Statistics (UNSD) established International Standard Industry Classification (ISIC) in 1948, which most countries invoke it. ISIC(International Standard Industry Classification) and the standard industry classifications of countries have reached the present after several revisions since the enactment of the Act. In the 2000s, the standard industry classification is amended to reflect the emergence of new industries and changes in industrial structure, mainly featuring the creation and segmentation of sections in the tertiary industry domains. It also shows that primary and secondary sectors are shifting to tertiary industry. In this study, the causes of these common phenomena are systematically identified and the problems present classification systems have been analyzed. Also proposed is the direction of formation of the industrial classification system from a service economy point of view and the conceptual model of the new classification system. In the future, it is necessary to validate the proposed model through this study and to carry out various new classification system studies.

  • The National Science and Technology Standard Classification System is established and operated for the purpose of efficiently managing science and technology related information, manpower, and R&D projects. The revision cycle for the classification system is five years, and 2022 is the first year of the next revision procedures. The main purpose of the next revision is to turn the third level categories into the keywords in the current classification system. It is to solve the problems about not reflecting the latest terms, and the difficulty in linking with the relevant other classifications caused by the rigid structure of the current classification system. In this study, the method was proposed by changing the existing classification system into the term management system as to improve the quality and usability of keywords related with the current third level categories. For this method, SKOS, the international standard terminology management system, and ISO/IEC 11179 standards were offered as basic models. In addition, the related metadata standards used in overseas scientific and technological glossaries were investigated, and compared with the current National Science and Technology Standard Classification System. And then essential metadata elements from the terminology management as point of view was derived. As a result, 11 standard metadata elements that can be immediately modified and applied in the current system were recommended, and five elements that can be applied after the revision of the classification system were offered.
