  • High frequency voltage signal injection have been widely used but they have some problems like over current protection. High frequency current signal injection and feedback control are more stable than voltage signal injection. In this paper, high frequency current controller for self-sensing and parameter estimation of induction motors is presented.

  • The power source of inverter welder stable power of low voltage and high current. Because if shouldn't be, it is caused to spark between the parent metal and the peak. So that, we designed to be base on high frequency transformer and reactor of DC part. Then, we optimized control of PWM, current rising slant, voltage, current, pulse current and inverter out-put voltage. Also we designed PCB for EMI and noises.

  • In superconductor power systems, a quench detector can misrecognize oscillation about current or voltage control as a quench. So, for the correct detection of a quench, it seems need to guarantee a smooth control of current or voltage.   • This paper dealt with circuit modeling of SCR and gate turn-off SCR by using complementary symmetrical tansistor circuit, which is modified circuit of input current dependent, current stable negative resitance circuit. Operation of this circuit is estimated and analyzed, with which compared with conventional SCR modeling circuit. Also operation and the design procedures are checked by experiments.

  • This paper describes an accurate and stable current control method of switched reluctance motors(SRMs), which have recently attracted considerable wide attention owing to their favorable features, such as high performance, high durability, structural simplicity, low cost, etc. In most cases, the PI controllers(PICC) have been used mostly for the current control of electric motors because their algorithm and selection of controller gain are relatively simpler compared to other controllers. On the other hand, the PI controller requires an adjustment of the controller gains for each operating point when nonlinear system parameters change rapidly. This paper presents a stable current control method of an SRM using self-tuning fuzzy current controller(STFCC) under nonlinear parameter variation. The performance of the considered method is validated via a dynamic simulation of the current controlled SRM drive using Matlab/Simulink program.

  • We have studied design and application about an self generation equipment for underground power transmission cable. The split CT(Current Transformer), which has the applicable underground power transmission cable, was manufactured through electromagnetic simulation of magnetic core. And manufactured the AC-DC converter that supplied stable DC power for PLC modem when current of power line has more than 150A. An self generation equipment using the CT and AC-DC converter get into operation the PLC modem consistently. As a result, the underground power transmission cable was showed the application possibility through the stable communication and network characteristics.

Hybrid Sensor-less Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor in Low-speed Region

  • This paper proposes a method of improving the stability in sensor-less control of permanent magnet synchronous motors. The control method for low-speed region is divided into two: One is a high frequency method, which involves a problem of reverse rotation once misdetection of the permanent magnet polarity should occur, and another one is a current drive method, which has a problem that phase and speed oscillations are caused by quick speed changes. Hence, authors propose adoption of the current drive method for the basic control system with added compensation of stabilization by means of the high frequency method. This combination secures stable control with no risk of reversal and less vibration. In addition, authors have also considered a frequency separation filter of a shorter delay time so that current control performance will not lower even when high frequencies are introduced. This filter has achieved simplified compensation using repetitive characteristic through the utilization of the periodicity of high frequency current. Simulation and experiment have been conducted to verify that the stable performance of this system is improved.

  • The purpose of this study is to develope a current variation control system appropriate to the various LED(Light Emitting Diode) lamps using current control system equipped with microcontroller based voltage regulator of power driving circuit. For this, we will suggest a stable control system of current variation to enable a stable power-supply and current-control, consisting of circuit to minimize the affects on the LED forward voltage using variable resistance and compensating resistance. The method of constant current circuit and energy savings using microcontroller based voltage regulator suggested in this study can be applied to various a big capacity LED lamp to minimize the unnecessay heat generation and to control resistace delicately. Ultimately, we expect the results of this study will upgrade the reliability of LED lamp by supplying the current stably.

Asymptotically Stable Adaptive Load Torque Observer for Precision Position Control of BLDC Motor

  • A new control method for the robust position control of a brushless DC(BLDC) motor using the asymptotically stable adaptive load torque observer is presented. A precision position control is obtained for the BLDC motor system approximately linearized using the field-orientation method. And the application of the load torque observer is published in [1] using fixed gain. However, the flux linkage is not exactly known for a load torque observer. Therefore, a model reference adaptive observer is considered to overcome the problem of the unknown parameter in this paper. And stability analysis is carried out using Liapunov stability theorem. As a result, asymptotically stable observer gain can be obtained without affecting the overall system response. The load disturbance detected by the asymptotically stable adaptive observer is compensated by feedforwarding the equivalent current having the fast response.
