  • Uniform space is a generalization of metric space. The main purpose of this paper is to extend several results contained in [5, 6] which have for an expansive homeomorphism with the pseudo orbit tracing property(POTP in short) on a compact metric space (X, d) for an expansive homeomorphism with the POTP on a compact uniform space (X, 𝒰). we characterize stable and unstable sets, sink and source and saddle, recurrent points for an expansive homeomorphism which has the POTP on a compact uniform space (X, 𝒰).

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to examine the Effect of Lunge Exercise on the Balance of Stable and Unstable Supporting surface. Method : The experimenter was a healthy twenties male and female. The period was two weeks, divided into a stable group and a unstable group. Setting the holding time 4 sec 3 sets of 10 times using the Stable and Unstable Supporting Surfaces. The break time was set at one minute for each set. Balance cushions were used for unstable supporting surfaces. Results : After Lunge Exercise, Both groups had an impact on improving their ability to balance. Conclusion : There has not been much change in the ability to balance the stable and Unstable Supporting Surfaces. However, considering surface conditions, the pre and post exercise comparisons had an effect on improving the ability to balance.

  • Purpose: This study investigates the effect of 60° semi-squat exercises according to three different types of support surfaces. The effects were examined on joint position sense and balancing ability using stable and unstable surfaces in patients afflicted with post-stroke hemiplegia. Methods: Subjects were instructed to perform three sets of 60° semi-squat exercises according to the characteristics of the support surface conditions. The three ground states were bilateral stable surface (BSS), nonaffected side unstable surface (NUS), and bilateral unstable surface (BUS). The joint position sense, characteristics of body sway, and dynamic balance were analyzed according to floor conditions before and after the experiment. A balance-pad (50 cm W×41 cm L×6 cm H; Alcan Airex AG, Sins, Switzerland) was used for the unstable floor. Results: The 60° semi-squat exercises applied to hemiplegic patients showed the highest statistical significance in joint position sense in the NUS group, and Timed Up and Go test (TUG) in the BUS group (p<0.05). Conclusion: Functional training using an unstable surface can be applied as a meaningful intervention method for improving the balance and joint position sense of stroke patients.

  • Purpose : This study was to comparison of EMG of an stable exercise group and unstable exercise group on patients who have had anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction(ACL reconstruction). Methods : The subjects of the study were patients who had no less than 4 weeks after ACL reconstruction and could stand on one leg, and they divided into a control group with 9 patients doing closed kinetic chain exercises on the stable floor and an experimental group with 10 patients doing closed kinetic chain exercises on the unstable floor and in order to compare degrees of the muscle activity of the thigh extensor and flexor was tested each before the exercise, in 3 weeks and 6 weeks after doing exercises by using surface electromyography (Surface EMG). The patients made 3 sets of exercises (10 times per set), each of which consisted of exercises using elastic bands and the squat. Results : There was statistic significance about the vastus medialis muscle. Conclusion : It is thought that the closed-chain exercise could be an exercise program through which patients could enhance the muscle activity of the vastus medialis muscle optionally among the quadriceps muscle and the hamstring muscles which should weaken after ACL reconstruction.

  • We study some properties of nonwandering set Ω(𝜙) and chain recurrent set CR(𝜙) for an expansive flow which has the POTP on a compact TVS-cone metric spaces. Moreover we shall prove a spectral decomposition theorem for an expansive flow which has the POTP on TVS-cone metric spaces.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to perform the calf-raise exercise on the stable support surface and unstable support surface for comparing deference of the gastrocnemius thickness changes that measured by ultrasonography. Method : Subjects stand on unstable support surface and a stable support surface with both feet. Keeping calf-raise position in the 3 seconds, and then had to return back to the starting position. Total of 3 sets of 15 repetitions performed and give a 30-second rest between each set. In this way, exercise performed 3 times a week, performed a total of 6 weeks. Result : 1. gastrocnemius muscle thickness before and after exercise in experimental group A was significantly different(p<.05). 2. gastrocnemius muscle thickness before and after exercise in experimental group B was significantly different(p<.05). 3. gastrocnemius muscle thickness in experimental group A and experimental group B was significantly difference(p<.05). Conclusion : In conclusion, calf-raise exercise on unstable support surface was more efficient than stable support surface for increasing thickness of gastrocnemius.

  • The objective of the present study is to study the Soret effect of both nanoparticles and solute on the convective instabilities in binary nanofluids. A new stability criterion is obtained based on the linear stability theory. The results show that the Soret effect of solute(${\psi}_{bf}$) makes the binary nanofluids unstable significantly and the convective motion in a binary nanofluid sets in easily as the ratio of Soret coefficient of nanofluid to that of binary basefluid ${\delta}_4$ increases for ${\delta}_4$ > -1. It is also found that as an increase of the volume fraction of nanoparticles, nanofluid becomes stable but at a separation ratio of ${\psi}=-0.3$ the state of fluid changes from stable to unstable.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to figure out the changes of normal people's balance ability when squat exercise in the condition of visual blocked or non-visual blocked on the stable or the unstable surfaces. Also, this study intended to assess balance ability more objectively and in a more diversified ways by using Biorescue. Methods : This study randomly assigned all the subjects to 4 groups; visual blocked or non-visual blocked on the stable surface or the unstable surface. Subjects were given 3 sets of squat exercises per day, 3 times a week for 3 weeks. At the beginning and the end of the exercise for 3 weeks, subjects measured balance ability using Biorescue and Lower Quarter Y-balance Test to evaluate the improvements of before and after. Results : All the groups showed the differences in the balance ability on the Biorescue and The Lower Quarter Y-balance test before and after the exercise. Among these groups, a group with condition of visual blocked on the stable surface showed the highest improvements. And also, it showed significant differences compared to other groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Using squat combined with variables according to this study, it can be utilized for rehabilitation of the aged and preparation of healthier life.

  • Analysis of the transient stability of power systems following disturbances involves many sets of non-linear differential equations. This paper attempts to analyze the transient stability of multi-machine power systems by the step by step method, using the electronic digital computer. The critical switching times and phase angles for the main 154KV transmission system in Korea, are given from the swing curves of the probable conditions. It is concluded that the system is, in general, stable if the relay is cut off within 12 cycles after the fault. However the fault of DAEGU-SANGJU branch, accompanying much real power, makes the system unstable when the raly is cut off within 4 cycles after fault or automatic voltage regulators are equipped in this branch.
