Kim (1970) was an early, comprehensive foundation for the taxonomy of Korean spider wasps. All the species therein are reviewed, and an annotated checklist comprising 21 species is presented. Species names are corrected in terms of current taxonomy. Based on the re-examination of voucher specimens, five misidentifications are rectified, of which two species rectified as Priocnemis(Leptopriocnemis) cyphonota and P.(Umbripennis) pseudojaponica are new to Korea. Also, occurrences of two species (Anoplius eous and An. viaticus) in Korea, which was doubted by Lelej et al. (1994), are confirmed. On the other hand, exclusions of two species (Irenangelus perinx and Priocnemis mitakensis) from the Korean fauna are proposed. However, the need for further study on six species (Anoplius reflexus, An. infuscatus, Arachnospila eisukei or Ar. fumipennis eisukei, Auplopus obtusus, Priocnemis irritablis) historically mentioned for the Korean fauna is newly recognized. The current taxonomic status of those species is briefly discussed.

Linyphiidae Blackwall, 1859 is one of the most diverse and largest families within the order Araneae Clerck, 1757. Of the currently 60 valid species of the genus Neriene Blackwall, 1833 worldwide, 10 species are distributed in Korea. The males of the new sheet-web spider Neriene bovista sp. nov. were recently collected with a sweep net between the shrubs of mixed forests from the hilly valley with well conserved nature in Uljin-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do (the middle east coast region) during a seasonal survey of the spider fauna in hilly terrains in 2017-2018. The present study describes a new sheet-web spider, Neriene bovista sp. nov. with a diagnosis, detailed description, morphological illustrations, and a distribution map from Korea. The new species has a characteristic mushroom-like tip of the terminal apophysis, the truncated tip of anterior projection, and the bifurcated lateral projection of the lamella compared to the congeners of the genus Neriene Blackwall, 1833.

A new species of Theridiidae, Carniella coreana sp. nov., is described and illustrated from Korea. The male of this newly described species is most similar to Carniella tsurui Ono, 2007 in the general shape of its palp, but can be distinguished by the winding structure of the embolus and broad tipped and twisted embolic apophysis. The genus Carniella Thaler & Steinberger, 1988 is newly recorded to Korean spider fauna.

경상남도 밀양 소재 가지산도립공원에서 채집한 317개체의 거미류는 20과 59속 66종으로 동정되었다. 종지수(species richness)는 깡충거미과 12종(20.0%), 꼬마거미과 8종(12.1%), 접시거미과 5종(7.6%), 왕거미과, 코리나거미과, 수리거미과 및 게거미과가 각 4종(6.1%), 갈거미과, 비탈거미과 및 새우게거미과가 각 3종(4.5%)의 순이었다. 동물지리구에 따른 종은 범열대종 1종(1.5%), 구북구종 4종(6.1%) 및 한국고유종은 3종(4.5%)이었으며 향후 산지에서의 생물상 및 생물자원의 분포 및 장기 모니터링에 중요한 정보를 제공할 것으로 사료된다.

지금까지 국내에 알려져 있지 않던 접시거미과의 미기록종인 점봉접시거미(Pacifiphantes zakharovi Eskov et Marusik, 1994)(신칭)을 기재하였다. Pacifiphantes속은 한국에서는 처음으로 기록되는 속이다.

An epialtid spider crab, Naxioides robillardi (Miers, 1882), is known as widely distributed in Indo-West Pacific region include Japanese waters. Four specimens of epialtid crabs were collected from adjacent waters of Jejudo Island and identified as N. robillardi. This species can be grouped into two forms such as N. robillardi form typical and N. robillardi form mammillata according to morphological features of carapace, gastric spine, and chela. Morphological characters of all Korean specimens well agree with the form mammillata in general. In this paper, morphological diagnosis and illustrations of newly collected N. robillardi are provided. DNA barcode sequence of COI region is also determined for the first time.

Two species of the genus Oxytate L. Koch, 1878 have been recorded in Korea to date. The spider fauna was surveyed in the mountainous terrain of Mt. Hallasan National Park in 2019. A female of Oxytate lobia sp. nov. was collected with a sweep net between shrubs in mixed forests during a seasonal spider survey and is described with measurements, morphological illustrations, and a diagnosis. The new species can be easily distinguished from similar species within the genus by the long copulatory duct conjugated with a spermatheca, a pair of triangular pits at the bottom, and no ditches.

Four species of the family Lycosidae are reported. Alopecosa gachangensis n. sp. is described from Daegu, Korea. A. aculeata (Clerck, 1757), Lycosa boninensis Tanaka, 1989 and Pardosa hokkaido Tanaka and Suwa, 1986 are newly recorded to the Korean spider fauna.
