  • This study analyzes the effect of anodizing conditions on nanopore formation on a cylindrical aluminum roll. In general, a nanopore is formed at the center of a concave base-pattern. Occasionally, multiple nanopores are formed on a single base-pattern. However, to control the diameter and interpore distance precisely, single nanopores are required. In this study, the ratio of the number of single nanopores to the total number of nanopores was investigated by varying anodizing conditions such as electrode area, electrolyte concentration, and rotation speed of the roll mold. The areal ratio of the counter-electrode to the working electrode (aluminum), electrolyte concentration, and the roll-mold rotation speed were varied from 0.4% to 42%, 0.07 M to 0.3 M, and 5 rpm to 75 rpm, respectively. The experimental results showed that the single-nanopore ratio increased with increasing counter-electrode area and electrolyte concentration. However, the rotation speed had no significant effect on nanopore shape.

  • High-temperature Superconductor(HTS) tubes were fabricated in term of different processing variables such as preheating temperature, speed of mold rotation and cooling rate by centrigugal forming method. For powder melting by induction the optimum range of melting temperatures and preheating temperature were $1050{\circ}C{\sim}1100{\circ}C\;and\;550{\circ}C\;for\;30\; min$, respectively The mould roating speed was 1000 rpm. A tube was annealed at $840 {\circ}C$ for 72 hours in oxygen atmosphere. The plate-like grains were well developed along the loafing direction and typical grain size was about more than $40{\mu}$. It was found that Ic values increased with increasing the Preheating temperature and speed of mold rotation. While Ic decreased with increasing the cooling rate. The measured Ic in $50mm{\times}70mm{\times}2.5mm$ tube was about 896 Amp.

  • Gravity tilt pour casting can effectively guarantee the reduction of various casting defects by controlling the rotation speed and the tilting angle of the mold during tilt pouring. The relationship between casting process parameters and the soundness of castings has been investigated in order to determine the optimum process variables in the gravity tilt pour casting process. In order to evaluate the effect of rotation speed on mold filling patterns, a video camera was employed to visualize the in-situ fluid flow behavior of the molten metal, and the relevant fluid velocity was also estimated. X-ray and mechanical tests were also performed to evaluate the effect of fluid velocity on casting quality. With the rotation speed lower than 0.5 r.p.m., which is nearly corresponding to the critical velocity of stability in the fluid flow, sound castings were obtained without having any casting defects. It can be concluded that the gravity tilt pour casting process is an effective process for manufacturing sound casting products with enhanced physical and mechanical properties.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the change in tensile strength characteristics of the weld when the welding speed and rotational speed of the tool, which are representative variables of the friction stir welding process. The equipment used in the experiment was Machining Center No. 5. The material used in the experiment is an AA6061-T6 alloy, and a rolled plate with a thickness of 2mm was used. Two experimental variables were selected, the welding speed of the tool and the rotational speed of the tool. The experimental conditions were selected in the range in which a healthy weld could be obtained through a preliminary experiment. The welding speed of the tool was increased to 100mm/min, 200mm/min, and 300mm/min, and the rotational speed of the tool was increased to 1000rpm, 2000rpm, and 3000rpm. As a result of the experiment, the tensile strength increased as the rotational speed of the tool changed at each tool welding speed. In addition, as the welding speed of the tool increased, the tensile strength of the weld was increased. The condition with the highest tensile strength of the weld was found to be a tool feed speed of 300 mm/min and a tool rotation speed of 3000rpm.

  • Micro spherical lens mold processing method based on mechanical one completes a spherical shape by setting a diamond tool of hundreds $\mu$m radius on spins with high speed and then using Z-axis vertical feeding motion like the fabrication of micro drilling. In this method, we can see unprocessed parts shaped like cylinder and cone and check increasing chatter marks and burrs by setting errors of the central axis of rotation on the edge of the tool. That is why this method doesn't suit for the optical lens mold. In this paper presents unprocessed parts are disappeared and chatter marks and burrs are decreased from centre of the lens after using Run-out measuring and setting system on run-out occurred from setting tool. Also the fabrication characteristics of 6:4 Brass, A1601, PMMA are compared and analyzed, establishing the optimum machining condition on each material.

  • In this study, NIMAX material has been processed using the three-dimensional measuring instrument and white light interferometer. they were tested to roundness and surface roughness and results are as follows: As for a cutting characteristic, it indicated that F4 showed a lower result than 2F showed due to the high hardness of the material and showed a good result when spindle rotation speed and tool feed were low. As for the measurement of roundness through 3-Dimensional measuring machine, it indicated that 4F showed a good result like the condition of cutting component and that roundness showed a good result when spindle rotation speed of 1,700 rpm and tool feed speed of 85 mm/min were applied. As for the surface roughness of processing surface, Surface roughness showed better 4F than 2F and conditions of spindle rotation speed 1,700 rpm, tool feed rate 55 mm/min showed good results in the Ra $0.4025{\mu}m$.

  • In this research, KP-4, one of the plastic mold steels, was coated with the AlTiN from one layer to four layers by the PVD method in the $\Phi$ 8mm cemented carbide ball end mill. Coated KP-4 was processed with various conditions. For example, slope of $15^{\circ}$, $30^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$ the spindle rotation speed was changed from 10,000rpm to 16,000rpm, the tool feeding speed was changed from 1,300mm/min to 1,700mm/min, the depth of cut was also changed from 0.3mm to 0.9mm, and etc. Cutting component force according to the coating layer number, and surface roughness were studied. The cutting component force showed a good agreement better the up ward direction than the down ward direction under all experimental conditions. In case of the condition per the material shape, it was lessen when the tool have larger angle because the average effective diameter of the tool is larger. The surface roughness showed good condition in case of the up ward than the down ward direction. And, in the 3rd layer of AlTiN coating, it showed the most suitable condition.

  • For the practical application on SCFCL, Bi2212 tubes were fabricated by Centrifugal Forming Process (CFP) in terms of many different processing parameters. Typical sizes of tubes were 60, 150 mm in length and 2.5, 3.5, 4.8 mm in thickness. Initially powder was melted by induction heating. The optimum range of melting temperatures and preheating temperature were $1100^{\circ}C$ and $500^{\circ}C$ for 30min respectively. The nominal mold rotating speed was around 1000 RPM. A tube was annealed at $840^{\circ}C$ for 80 hours in oxygen atmosphere. The tube of 50mm x 70mm x 2.5mm, rotated with 1000 RPM showed $I_c=890\;A\;and\;T_c=80$. It was found that the tube processed with faster rate of mold rotation speed, thinner tube thickness and shorter tube length shows better electric characteristics as compared with the tube normally processed. In order to study the uniformity heat and fluid flow analysis tool was adopted along tube.
