Spectrophotometric Determination of Amantadine Sulfate after Ion-Pairing with Methyl Orange

  • A convenient spectrophotometric method was examined for the determination of amantadine sulfate (AMTS) which has no UV-VIS chromopohores. AMTS was ion-paired quantitatively with methyl orange (MO) at $70^{\circ}C$ for 30 min. The ion-paired complex was extracted with dichloromethane and the absorbance was measured at 421.5 nm. A linear relationship was observed in the range of $2.5{\times}10^{-7}\;M$ to $3.75{\times}10^{-6}\;M$ and the correlation coefficient was 0.999 (n=3). This assay method was applied to the quantification of AMTS in commercial tablet form with good recovery and high precision.

피크린 산에 의한 항히스타민제의 추출분광광도 정량 (Extraction Spectrophotometric Determination of Antihistamines with Picric Acid)

  • A spectrophotomertic method is proposed for the determination of antihistamines. The method is based on solvent extraction of the ion pair formed between antihistamines and colored picric acid into chloroform. The binding state of antihistamines-picric acid complexes were presumed by IR and $^{1}$H-NMR spectra as intermolecular hydrogen bonding. This method was applicable to the determination of antihistamines in the pharamaceutical preparations.

  • 2-Hydroxybenzaldehyde-5-nitro-pyridylhydrazone(2HB-5NPH)를 합성하여 철의 분광학적 정량에 응용하였다. 이 시약은 pH 6.0-7.5 범위에서 철과 반응하여 메탄올 용액에서 매우 안정한 노란색의 1:2킬레이트를 형성한다. 철의 농도범위가 0.05∼2.0 ${\mu}gmL^{-1}$일 때 Beer's law에 적용되고 미량의 철을 분광학적으로 정량하기 위하여 Amberlite XAD-7 비이온성 킬레이트 수지로 채워진 짧은 컬럼을 사용하여 분리과정에 적용하였다. 몇가지 이온들의 방해 효과를 연구하였다. 혼합용액으로부터 철이온의 분리는 완충용액(pH 5.0)과 용리액으로서 0.25M HCl을 가지고 수행하였다.

  • 감도가 높고 선택적인 추출-분광광도법은 미량의 시메티딘의 측정을 위해 개발되어 왔다. 이 방법은 클로로포름안에 브로모티몰 블루(BTB)와 함께 이온 쌍으로 시메티딘의 추출에 기초했다. 그리고 417 nm에서 흡광도를 측정하고 있다. pH, BTB의 농도, 클로로포름의 부피, 섞는 시간과 같은 다른 변수들의 효과를 연구하였다. 또한, 추출에서 간섭이온의 효과도 연구하였다. 보정곡선은 0.9997의 상관계수와 함께 0.25~8 ug/mL의 범위에서 선형이다. 3Sb에 기초한 검출한계는 0.14 ug/mL이고 시메티딘의 0.1과 4.0 ug/mL의 10번 측정에 대한 상대표준편차는 3.2와 1.49%이었다. 제안된 방법은 좋은 회수와 함께 약제 샘플에서 시메티딘의 측정에 적용되었다.

메칠오렌지에 의한 말레인산클로르페니라민의 분광광도 정량 (Spectrophotometric Determination of Chlorpheniramine Maleate with Methyl Orange)

  • A singly charged methyl orange(MO) anion was found to be extracted with chlorpheniramine maleate(CPM) as a 1 : 1 complex in chloroform. Of various solvents, MO-chloroform system gave a yellow color for CPM, while in the absence of CPM, an organic phase showed almost no color. In this way, the spectrophotometric method was investigated for the determination of CPM by solvent extraction. The addition of alcoholic bolic acid solution to the solvent extract gave a higher color stability and transparency at least 5 days, but the extract alone lost its color intensity significantly. CPM is determined by measuring the absorbance of the extracts over a range of $1{\sim}7{\times}10^{-4}M\;(39{\sim}273\;{\mu}g/ml)$ in aqueous solution at 423 nm. The molar absorptivity was $2.26{\times}10^3\;l,\;mol^{-1},\;cm^{-1}$. The absorbance of the extract was constant in the range of pH $3.7{\sim}4.6$. This novel method was applied for the determination of CPM in artificial and commercial preparations in comparison with the analytical method of CPM tablets in K.P.IV. The results obtained showed that the former was better in accuracy and time consumption than the latter.

Highly Selective and Simple Zero and First Order Derivative Spectrophotometric Determination of Palladium by Using α-Benzilmonoxime in Triton X-100 Micellar Solution

  • The reaction of ${\alpha}$-Benzilmonoxime with palladium(II) produces a green complex in triton X-100 micellar media. Palladium has been determined using zero and first derivative spectrophotometric methods. The absorbances of Pd(II)- ${\alpha}$--benzilmonoxime complex at 441.8 and 677.0 nm in 0.10 M perchloric acid solution were monitored and linear working ranges of 0.3-12.0 and 0.7-20 ${\mu}$g mL$^{-1}$ with detection limits of 0.07 and 0.10 ${\mu}$g $mL^-1$ were obtained, respectively. Also, recoveries in the range of 92.8 to 100.1% and relative standard deviations in the range of 0.4 to 7.1% were obtained. First derivative spectrophotometry has also been applied for palladium determination under the optimum condition. The linear dynamic range of 0.2-24.0 ${\mu}$g $mL^{-1}$ palladium with relative standard deviations of 0.6-6.9% and recoveries in the range of 94.9-102.5% has been obtained by first derivative spectrophotometry. The method shows high selectivity because of the high concentration of acid used, which prevents formation of complexes of ${\alpha}$--benzilmonoxime with the other cations. The palladium complex formed was stable at least one day. The method was successfully applied to the determination of palladium in some synthetic palladium alloys and palladium-charcoal powder.

  • 분석 시약으로 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy benzaldehyde thiosemicarbazone (HMBATSC)를 사용하여 코발트 (II) 정량을 위하여 빠르고 간단하고 민감한 분광광도법을 개발하였다. 액상에서 금속이온이 pH 6.0에서 HMBATSC와 갈색의 착물을 형성하였다. 이 착물은 375 nm와 390 nm에서 두 개의 최대 흡수 피크를 보였다. 375 nm에서 많은 흡 수를 보였고, 반면 390 nm에서는 분명한 흡수를 보이지 않았다. Beer's 법칙에서 Co(II)는 0.059-2.357 μg ml-1 범위를 보였다. 이 방법의 몰 흡수와 Sandall's 민감도는 각각 2.74×104 l mol-1 cm-1와 0.0024 μg cm-2 였다. 여러 가지 다른 이온들에 간섭에 대해서도 연구하였다. 화학양론적으로 착체는 1:2 [Co(II)- HMBATSC] 이 였다. 이차 유도 분광광도 법에 의한 Co(II)의 정량방법에 대해서도 제안하였다. 제안된 방법을 alloy steels, 비타민 B12와 생물학 시료에 있는 Co(II)의 정량에 적용하였다.
