세탁조건에 따른 폴리에스터/스판덱스 편성물의 형태안정성과 역학적 특성 변화 (Effect of Washing Conditions on Dimensional Change and Mechanical Properties in Polyester/Spandex Knit Fabric)

  • This study comparatively analyzed the changes in the dimensional stability and the mechanical properties of stretch knit fabrics associated with washings conditions in order to determine the most appropriate washing method. Polyester and spandex knit fabrics were washed 25 cycles with nine washing condition profiles that controled detergent, hardness. temperature and RPM. The knit fabrics with repeated washings were evaluated by dimensional stability and measured by the KES-FB system. Polyester and spandex fibers have good chemical resistance. However, the changes in the dimensional stability and the mechanical properties were observed in washed knit fabrics. After repeated washings, the knit fabrics washed in an alkali or neutral detergent had good dimensional stability compared with the knit fabric washed in functional detergent. The washed knit fabrics were extended, stiff, rough, and had a smaller volume. The changes were the result of the rearrange of polyester fibers which twisted around spandex core and chemical interactions involving the detergent and the physical and mechanical forces of washing. Especially, using an alkali detergent resulted in increased stiffness and roughness of the knit fabric. In conclusion, the washing in water with low hardness and a neutral detergent can minimize the changes in dimensional stability and mechanical properties of polyester and spandex knit fabric.

  • There is increased interest in clothes dryers and garments made of spandex-blend woven fabrics; however, there is limited information available for the laundering and drying these clothes. This study investigates the effects of washing and drying on shrinkage, skewness, and wrinkle for woven fabrics with and without spandex. When spandex with good elastic recovery was blended, the deformed shape from washing and drying improved skewness and wrinkle by easily returning to its original shape. However, these properties had a negative effect on shrinkage in terms of length and area change. When the influence of clothes maintenance was classified, the drying process had the biggest influence of 58%, followed by spinning-rinsingwashing. Tumble drying, in which the fabric is exposed to mechanical force and heat for a long period, had more negative effects on the dimensional stability than line drying. The spandex blend had the effect of preventing skewness and wrinkle in garments, but it was also shown to accelerate shrinkage by garment maintenance cycles. It was important to control drying in order to reduce shrinkage during the maintenance process; consequently, this had the greatest influence on the dimensional stability of fabrics. Therefore, line drying was more advantageous for spandex-blend fabrics than tumble drying in terms of management for shrinkage, skewness, and wrinkle.

에어로빅복의 소재 차이에 따른 착용감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Wearing Sensation in Accordance with difference in Materials of Aerobic Wear)

  • This study was conducted to examine the effect of difference in materials of aerobic wear on both human body's physiological reactions and subjective wearing sensation by comparing and analysing not only cotton sparidex A, B and C but nylon spandex D, E and F used as actually wearing materials. The rectal temperature of type A and I remained at high degree, the type C was higher from after high-speed running but dropped sharply when taking a break finally. Both skin temperature and mean skin temperature dropped sharply due to sweat occurred during physical exercise, and then rose slowly when taking a break. Type A -D and B-I showed that the mean skin temperature remained at high degree when wearing a cotton spandex. Type C's temperature within its aerobic wear was lower than type F while its relative humidity was higher than type F. Wearing sensation showed a change similar to wearing, particularly, which was remarkable in type B-E. Also, it was shown that humidity sensation, tactile sensation and comfort sensation were good when wearing the cotton spandex.

  • 본 연구는 폴리에스터-나일론 파워 네트 원단의 건열특성을 다룬 것이다. 이 건열특성은 스판덱스(spandex)의 특성에 크게 영향을 받는다. 스판덱스는 통상 활용할 수 있는 신도가 500~600 %에 이른다는 성질 때문에 섬유제품에 많이 응용되고 있다 이는 탄성이 양호하여 스타킹용, 수영복용 등으로 많이 활용하고 있다. 또한 스판덱스는 마모와 마찰강도가 고무보다 우수하고 탄성이 아주 좋고 리 쓰인다. (중략)

탄성복합사를 이용한 직물의 염색성에 대한 연구 (Dyeabilities of Elastic Composite Yarn Woven Fabrics)

  • 이전의 연구에서 기존의 ATY 장치에 ITY 노즐을 접목하여 개조한 사가공기로 제조한 탄성복합사를 자동차 시트용 트리코트 원단으로 편직하여 일광견뢰도가 우수한 염료를 선정하고 $125^{\circ}C$에서 염색하여야 견뢰도와 spandex의 물성을 저해하지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 폴리에스테르 탄성복합사의 염색성 평가에 이어 본 연구에서는 나일론 필라멘트 (70/24, Full-dull, 2ply사와 40D spandex 1ply사 복합)와 레이온사(75D, 1ply)를 투입하여 직물 원단(중량 216g/yd, 밀도 경사 78, 위사 52본/inch)을 제직한 후 2욕에서의 염색공정을 거칠 경우, 탄성복합사의 견뢰도와 물성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 나일론, 레이온, 폴리우레탄의 3종 원단을 염색성 평가를 위하여 반응성염료로 먼저 레이온 부분을 염색한 후 산성염료로 나일론 부분을 염색하였으며, 이 때 spandex가 미치는 영향을 비교하기 위하여 spandex가 함유되지 않은 나일론, 레이온 복합 제직원단도 함께 염색한 후 견뢰도를 평가하였다. 또한, 레이온 부분은 CPB염색법과 제트염색기로 나누어 염색하여 염색기에 따른 인장강도와 인열강도를 평가하였다. 레이온 염색에는 셀룰로오스용 2관능기 반응성염료 3원색을 이용하여 khaki color로 combination염색하였으며, 나일론 부분에는 입자크기가 커서 견뢰도가 우수한 산성염료를 선정하여 combination염색한 후 냉수세하였다. 견뢰도를 비교한 결과, spandex가 포함된 탄성복합사 원단과 나일론과 레이온 만으로 제직된 원단 모두 세탁, 마찰, 물, 땀, 일광 견뢰도 모두가 4~5급으로 우수하여 spandex에 이염된 염료가 견뢰도에 미치는 영향은 없음을 확인하였다. 또한, 레이온 부분의 반응성염료 염색 시 CPB와 제트염색법의 두 가지 종류에 대한 인장강도와 인열강도 평가결과는 CPB 염색물이 제트염색물보다 약간 높게 나타났지만 3% 이내의 차이로 거의 차이가 없음을 나타내었다. 일반적으로 제트염색 시 원단은 로프상으로 이동하고, CPB염법은 확포상태 그대로 염색되기 때문에 제트염색 시 강도가 낮아지는 것으로 알려져 있으나, 본 연구에서는 탄성복합사를 경사, 위사 모두 사용함으로써 spandex가 신장하는 특성 때문에 강도의 저하가 없는 것으로 사료된다.

골프 드라이브 스윙 시 압축 밴드를 적용한 기능성 의류가 신체의 운동역학적 변인에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Wear ing Spandex Wear with Compression Band on Biomechanical Parameters during a Golf Drive Swing)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine how spandex wear with compressive band affects biomechanical parameters during a golf swing. Nine male golf players, each with at least 6 years golf experienc(handy 4.5${\pm}$5.4), were recruited as the participants. Eight pairs of surface electrodes were attached to the left and right side of the body to monitor the pectoralis major(PM), external abdominal oblique(AO), erector spinae(ES), and vastus lateralis(VL). This study showed that the angular velocity of the club in EG were increased during the down swing phase but X-Factor and X-factor Stretch were reduced. Average and maximum nEMG (normalized EMG) values of the left AO(external abdominal oblique) were less in EG(experimental group) compared with CG(control group) during the back swing, whereas those of left PM(pectoralis major) in EG were greater than CG. It is more likely that EG performed effectively golf swing without excess muscle activity. Thus, the spandex wear with compressive band played an important role in improving swing performance with injury prevention. This has led to suggestions of the need for further kinetic and kinematic analyses to evaluate its function.

Nylon 66를 이용한 Natural Stretch Yarns 제조방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Manufacturing Method of Natural Stretch Yarns using Nylon 66)

  • 본 연구에서는 스포츠 캐주얼 웨어(스노우보드복, 골프복, 등산복 등)로 사용되는 신축성 소재의 개발로 Stretch성을 부여하기 위하여 Nylon 66 POY 소재의 가연가공 기술을 통하여 Mechanical Stretch 성능이 발현되는 소재를 개발하고자 한다. 섬유소재에 일반적으로 신축성을 부여하기 위해서는 Spandex(Polyurethane, PU)를 방적공정에서 복합 제조하는 Core Yarn과 장섬유에 Spandex를 피복하는 Covering Yarn(직물용) 형태가 있는데, Spandex로 인한 신축성은 200~800% 발현되나 PU를 사용함에 따라서 공정추가에 대한 원가상승, 균제도 불량, 몰림현상 및 PU 수축에 의한 중량감이 있으며, 또한 PU에 의한 견뢰도불량, 피복사의 벗겨짐성 등 외관상 트러블 발생빈도가 높다. 이에 따라 Spandex를 사용하지 않고 단일소재로서 사가공기술에 의해 Stretch성이 부여되는 소재를 개발하고 이의 기술을 상용화 하고자 한다. Nylon 66 POY 소재를 Disc 가연기, Pin 가연기 등의 설비를 이용하여 70d급 원사의 가연가공 공정을 진행하였다. 그리고 개발된 원사의 섬도(d), 강도(g/d), 신도(%), 크림프율(%)의 물성 시험을 통하여 Nylon66의 공정상 변화인자에 따른 기본 물성 및 Stretch 발현성을 분석하여 최적의 설비 및 공정조건을 확립하였다.

인디고의 합성섬유 염착특성 - 폴리에스테르, PTT/Spandex - (Dyeing properties on synthetic fibers with indigo - Polyester, PTT/Spandex -)

  • In this study, we have investigated properties and behaviors of the indigo vat dyeings on synthetic fibers, namely PET and PTT/Spandex. In addition, indigo vat dyeing conditions such as dyeing temperature, dye concentration and pH were optimized. The finding results show that higher color strengths of indigo dyeings on the two types of applied fibers were obtained at $110^{\circ}C$ and $90^{\circ}C$, respectively. Furthermore, acid leuco dyeings on the fiber substrates using acetic acid and formic acid show higher dye uptake with compared to alkali leuco counterparts.

Changes of Pulling-out Length and Shrinkage Ratio in Polyester/Spandex Power Net Warp Knitted Fabrics

  • Power net fabric is one of the highly extensible two-way fabrics. Power net structure shows special characteristics in the wearing of final functional clothes. This research evaluated effects of treatment temperature on proportional extensibility and shrinkage ratio of spandex at a given wale length. As treatment temperature increased, extensibility increased proportionally to the standard length of the sample and the shrinkage ratio in the direction of course and wale increased. The pulling-out length increased proportionally to the standard length of the sample. However it was affected by the effect of treatment time and temperature due to the thermal properties of spandex filament yarn.
