According to the change in diverse tendency of residents, construction companies has developed the brands of apartments with the concepts of LOHAS, well-being, ubiquitous, etc. The purpose of this study was to suggest space requirement and planning for residents characteristics. The questionnaire survey was adopted in this study and 252 cases were used for data analysis. The survey analysis has been made by using of SPSS WIN 12.0. The major findings were as follows; (1) Resident opinion about the direction of each space was investigated into the need of South-facing in master bedroom highly. (2) The residents didn't want to decrease the current size of each space, the space which wanted to increase was livingroom. (3) The significant variables of space requirement and planning for residents characteristics were family life cycle, the age of householder, the occupation of householder, the size of apartment.

The storage space requirement is a very important decision variable which determines the storage capacity of a container terminal. Generally, the storage space requirement is dependent upon such factors as ship headway, allowable dwell time of containers, loading/winding time per ship, and so on. Until now, the storage space requirement is estimated under the assumption that the factors are deterministic in several studies. However, this study proposes how to estimate a storage space requirement satisfying the required service level under the assumption that a containership's load size is probabilistic. Numerical experiments, which use a simulation show that the proposed method can estimate more adequately the storage space requirement than other methods under a probabilistic environment.

As a rapid supply of a culture facility the change of living style bring on needs about storage space in the residence space. This study choose Hong Je Dong-Byuk San 4 type apartment house which was built in 1990 as research target and we selected 4type of a total 12house and we choose LDK as a research target that is high in a requirement and utilization other space is excluded in this study. We can expect that the apartment house will be differed with area of living space of apartment house in the requirement of storage space. Small apartment house is requried various storage planning because of confined living space But big apartment houses required storage planning of simple type because it have already storage space. So we have to do efficiency storage planning because of limited space in the apartment house. Base on this results we will show storage space according to the type of pyeong. So this study show proper storage type according to the scale of apartment house,.

The purpose of this research is to develop the technology to meet the requirements of the design content, and to build a 'Requirement Information Management Model' for the design project. The model that should be used in the early design stage will undergo the following process: First, basic requirements would be defined by extracting the design content in the form of a reusable library of space units. At the next stage, requirement information should be modified after considering unique characteristics for the project and conflict problems between function and performance.

Recently, determinants in the construction market are not suppliers' choices but customers' various needs. One of the main interests about the space design is the flexibility. Though those are the choices of users to modify space structure, the potential degree of flexibility is predetermined by the providers. In suppliers' view, it is consuming in financial and technical aspects to cater the apartments qualifying maximum flexibility. To modify these differences, the reasonable range of applicable customers's requirement about flexibility in apartment should be determined. Then, the types of flexibility in apartments should be classified. The purpose of this Study are classified the flexibility of support in apartment by the analyzing the remodeling requirement of apartment residents, and provided prerequisites to create flexible spaces by case application.

Development and realization of ubiquitous services in physical space is now in progress to develop ubiquitous smart space (USS). As the development methodologies for USS, scenario development is performed before requirement analysis and design, or vice versa. However, even though lots of redundant elements could be found between scenarios and requirement analysis results, a sort of structural approaches to join them together has been still very rare. Hence, the aim of this paper is to propose a system which generates ubiquitous service senarios and system analysis specifications according to a novel integration methodology. To do so, scenario and requirement analysis are integrated in a structured manner.

This paper concerns the design and implementation of a Bandwidth Variable Digital Chirp Generator (DCG) for the radar altimeter. A double SRAM parallel structure is used to breakthrough the upper DCG bandwidth limited by the highest clock frequency of the digital chips. An experimental system working in the waveform storage method has been implemented. We show that the bandwidth changed according to the radar altimeter's requirement and the design released the stringent speed requirement of the chips fur making a variable wide bandwidth DCG.

Various types of restaurants in Seoul city are a were assessed in terms of facilities equipped, and dining and kitchen space allocation. Facilities checklist was developed to evaluate the facilities condition of sampled restaurants. Subjective sample were randomly selected based on the distribution factors of areas, types and sizes. The facilities for the sanitary working environment were assessed as the insufficient condition. Also basic kitchen equipments and facilities, and restroom facitilities of restaurants were within the kitchen or dining room space allowance level. Space requirement and facilities standard models were developed for the guideline to improve the working environment.

In this study, the shared facilities and space in the multi-family housing which residents could maintain contacts with their neighbors were investigated and analyzed. It could find the shared facilities and space so that residents could maintain to contact with their neighbors after surveying the dwellers requirements. Also it could specify the importance of the neighborhood common spaces and the conditions for the planning of the shared facilities. Analyzing residents requirement of set-up location, this study lead to the following suggestions concerning the facilities design: In the first neighborhood-circle, it require to be related the household affairs of housewives on the adjacent space to a dwelling-unit. In the second neighborhood-circle, it require especially the facilities for children play, study, reading, hobby etc. These facilities need establish each 4-5 floor in high-rise building estates. The roof & underground floors has been recognized in important & essential place for living facilities. Therefore, it is needed to improve to get ready to receive the various facilities.
