풍절소음 저감을 위한 웨더스트립 돌출부 형상연구 (Aerodynamic acoustics of automotive weather strip protuberance)

  • Weather Strip(W/S) is a rubber part to proof water, sound and dust for opening and shutting devices including vehicle doors. And it requires high dimension precision and durability to proof water, noise, vibration and etc. But ironically it itself makes some wind noise because of some protuberance with glasses. The air flow analysis of door part of vehicle makes it possible to calculate and find out the cause of wind noise. In previous analysis, we focus on the numerical air flow analysis of the automobile side part. We do 2D-C.F.D first and 3D second. Through simulations, we can calculate the amount of sound pressure level at the glass run and find out the effects of glass run to make wind noise. Finally we can improve shape of glass run to reduce wind noise although it is small amounts of sound pressure reduction compared with total vehicle noise level.

  • In this paper, we aim to control the sound and vibration spatially, so that a desired physical variable is enhanced within a zone we select. This is somewhat analogous to have manipulators that can draw wave shape in any place we want. Brightness and contrast control have shown that such a manipulation is possible by controlling multiple sources[J.-W. Choi and Y.-H. Kim, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 111(4), 2002]. In particular, the acoustic brightness control seeks a way to increase loudness of sound over a chosen area, and the contrast control aims to enhance loudness difference between two neighboring regions. This enables us to manipulate spatial distribution of sound by making two different kinds of zone ? the bright and dark zone- at the same time. The primary focus of this study is to unit the theoretical formulation of the brightness and contrast control and to find a link between these methods, as well as its relation to other conventional techniques. It is also shown that we can generate various shape of wave field by transforming the domain we consider.

An Acoustic Study on the Pronunciation of English [kwJ Sequences by Korean EFL Students

  • The aim of this study is to find out how the labiovelar onglide /w/ in English kwV sequences that have minimal pairs with kV sequences is pronounced differently among Korean EFL learners based on acoustic evidence. This study tries to identify /w/ sound in English kwV sequences through spectrograms and to examine the duration ratios of each segment in kwV words to compare the patterns of an English native speaker with those of Korean speakers of English. In spectrographic analyses, the complete deletion of /w/ and partial pronunciation of /w/ dubbed [$k^{w}$] were identified as well as the targetappropriate production of /w/. The general production patterns with respect to the duration ratios in English [kw] sequence words showed that the subjects who produced /w/ had similar ratio patterns that the native speaker had in that the vowel duration ratio in kwV sequences was shorter than that in kV sequences. By contrast, the subjects who deleted [w] had a long ratio of the onset [$k^{h}$] while the speaker with a partial pronunciation of /w/ had a long ratio of the following vowel.

  • 90년대 중반기의 가상도서관을 기대하는 정보 이용자들은 W3에 대한 수요를 급증시키고 있다. 본 연구는 인터넷 조직의 하나인 CERN이 제공하는 가상도서관의 도서관 정보자원을 소개하고, 가상도서관의 활용을 위한 인터넷 서비스의 하나인 W3의 특징과 HTML/URLs 체계, 그리고 도서관 W3 서버를 탐색하는 과정에서의 HTML 화일내의 이미지와 사운드정보의 저장과 출력을 실제 W3검색을 통하여 상세히 기술하며, 최근에 정리된 HTML 문서작성에 대한 기본적 요소와 그에 대한 출처정보를 요약한다.

산화물 수소환원에 의한 W-Ni-Fe 나노복합분말의 합성과 특성 (Synthesis and Characteristics of W-Ni-Fe Nanocomposite Powder by Hydrogen Reduction of Oxides)

  • The synthesis and characteristics of W-Ni-Fe nanocomposite powder by hydrogen reduction of ball milled W-Ni-Fe oxide mixture were investigated. The ball milled oxide mixture was prepared by high energy attrition milling of W blue powder, NiO and $Fe_2O_3$ for 1 h. The structure of the oxide mixture was characteristic of nano porous agglomerate composite powder consisting of nanoscale particles and pores which act as effective removal path of water vapor during hydrogen reduction process. The reduction experiment showed that the reduction reaction starts from NiO, followed by $Fe_2O_3$ and finally W oxide. It was also found that during the reduction process rapid alloying of Ni-Fe yielded the formation of $\gamma$-Ni-Fe. After reduction at 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 h, the nano-composite powder of W-4.57Ni-2.34Fe comprising W and $\gamma$-Ni-Fe phases was produced, of which grain size was35nm for W and 87 nm for $\gamma$-Ni-Fe, respectively. Sinterability of the W heavy alloy nanopowder showing full density and sound microstructure under the condition of 147$0^{\circ}C$/20 min is thought to be suitable for raw material for powder injection molding of tungsten heavy alloy.

HRTF를 이용한 헤드폰 기반의 다채널 입체음향 생성 (Headphone-based multi-channel 3D sound generation using HRTF)

  • 본 논문에서는 5.1채널 입체음향 오디오 신호를 2채널의 헤드폰으로 재생하기 위한 HRTF (Head Related Transfer Function) 기반의 입체음향 생성 시스템에 대하여 다룬다. 각 채널의 모노 입력신호는 HRTF를 이용한 바이노럴(binaural) 필터링을 통해 가상적으로 음상정위되며, 입체감과 공간감을 증가시키기 위해 잔향효과가 추가된다. 연산량 감소를 위해 음상정위 성능을 저하시키지 않는 범위에서 HRTF의 임펄스 응답 탭 수를 줄였으며, 잔향효과를 위한 음장제어부에서는 초기반사열중 주요한 성분만을 지연기로 모델링하였다. 또한 비개인화된 HRTF DB에 의란 앞/뒤 혼돈 문제를 줄이기 위하여 앞/뒤 스펙트럼의 차를 가중치로 하여 HRTF 스펙트럼을 강조하는 방법을 적용하였다. 구현한 시스템의 성능 평가 결과, 단순한 스테레오 방법이나 2채널 Down Mixing 방식에 비해 현실감 있고 방향성 있는 입체음향을 느낄 수가 있었다.
