Zr-V-Mn-Ni 수소저장합금전극의 방전특성에 미치는 Ni 양의 효과에 관한 연구 (The effect of Ni content on the discharge characteristics of Zr-V-Mn-Ni hydrogen storage alloy electrode)

  • $ZrV_{0.7}Mn_{0.5}Ni_{1.2}$ alloy is attractive for anode material in Ni/MH secondary battery because of its large hydrogen storage capacity in gas-solid reaction and long cycling durability in KOH electrolyte. In this work, in order to further improve the discharge performance of this alloy electrode, the alloy was annealed by optimal condition which is for 12 hours at $1000^{\circ}C$. The alloy annealed under optimal condition had higher rate capability and discharge capacity than as-cast one. The microstructure of the as-cast and annealed alloy was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy. Ni content in the matrix was increased, being this homogenized after annealing. Additionally, The measurement of the surface area by B.E.T. analysis showed that there was little difference as-cast and annealed alloy. Therefore, improvement in the rate capability of the annealed alloy is due to increase of Ni content in the matrix.

  • A study was made to clarify the topographical. and Physical characteristics of ginseng field in terms of soil science and to find the relationship between soil characteristics and ginseng growth, as well as yield of ginseng roots Forty nine farmer's red ginseng field of ginseng growing area were chosen for this study and investigated for two years. The results obtained were as follow. 1. Ginseng fie1ds with high yield which represent the more than 1.8kg of ginseng root per 3.2m2 were found in soil series of Bancheon, Yeongog, Weongog, etc. whose texture were the clay loam to clay soil. On the other hand, ginseng field with low yield were observed in soil series of seogto whose texture was loamy soil with high content of gravels. 2 Soil of ginseng field with high yield had higher content of clay. silt soil moisture and soil pore as compared with soils of low yields. These soil characteristics were positively correlated with stem length stem diameter and root weight of ginseng plsnt and negatively correlated with rate of missing plant 3. The adequate ranges of soil 3 phase from high yield ginseng field were 40 to 50% of solid Phase, 22 to 35% of liquid phase, 25 to 35% of gaseous phase in top soil and 45 to 55% of solid phase. 28 to 30% of liquid phase. 15 to 20% of gaseous phase in subsoil respectively.

Dehydration Kinetics of Rehmannia (Rehmannia glutinosa Liboschitz)

  • Sliced and whole root of rehmannia were dehydrated in a laboratory dryer at 40, 60, 80, and $100^{\circ}C$ to evaluate the kinetic parameters for dehydration of rehmannia. The drying curves of both samples were characterized by a falling-rate drying period only. Sliced rehmannia dried 1.1 to 3.1 times faster than whole root of rehmannia depending on drying temperature. Equilibrium moisture content (EMC) of rehmannia samples at the drying temperature tested were 0.069-0.078 g water/g dry solid, which was coincided with the monolayer moisture content (0.06 and 0.07 g water/g dry solid) evaluated from desorption isotherms using GAB (Guggenheim-Anderson-de Boer) model. A logarithmic model for thin layer drying was applied to evaluate the drying time to reach EMC ($t_{EMC}$) and drying constant (k). The effect of temperature on $1/t_{EMC}$ and k was described by the Arrhenius model with activation energy values of 32.56 and 47.14 kJ/mol determined using the former parameter, and 34.27 and 38.26 kJ/mol determined using the latter parameter for sliced and whole root of rehmannia, respectively.

폐기물 활용을 위한 종합적 처리방법의 김치쥬스 발효 향상 (Improvement of Kimchi Juice Fermentation by Combined method for Chinese Cabbage Waste Utilization)

  • The effective fermentation methods of Kimchi juice for utilization of outer layer of Chinese cabbage, an waste of Kimchi industry were studied. The Kimchi juice prepared with brining and grinding the waste of Chinese cabbage and addition of spices was fermented at $25^{\circ}C$. Addition of 5$^{\circ}C$15% fermented Kimchi juice of pH 5.4 at initial stage and pH 4.4 at middle state resulted in a significant increase in fermentation rate and solid content after 12 hours of fermentation. The combined method of enzymatic hydrolysis(0.1% viscozyme) of the brined and ground cabbage and addition of 2.0% NaCl, 1.0% sucrose and 10% fermented juice of pH 5.4 first and 4.4 during fermentation, respectively resulted in more rapid fermentation. The solid concentration was 5 times higher than control at maximum point and acidic and total flavor intensity were also significantly high.

유기성고형폐기물의 연속 중온 건식혐기성소화 (Continuous Mesophilic-Dry Anaerobic Digestion of Organic Solid Waste)

  • 음식물쓰레기와 종이류로 구성된 유기성고형폐기물(고형물 함량 30% TS)을 대상으로 중온 건식혐기성소화를 시도하였고, 연속 운전 중 수리학적 체류 시간(HRT)을 150일, 100일, 60일, 40일로 감소시켰다. 기질의 고형물 농도를 30% TS (Total Solids)로 고정하였기 때문에 각각의 HRT에 해당하는 고형물 부하는 2.0, 3.0, 5.0, 7.5 kg TS/$m^3$/d였다. HRT를 줄임에 따라 단위용적 당 바이오가스 생산 속도는 증가하였고, HRT 40일에서 3.49${\pm}$0.31 $m^3/m^3/d$로 가장 높은 성능을 보였다. 이 때, 76%의 휘발성 고형물(VS) 분해율이 유지되었고, 0.25 $m^3$/kg $TS_{added}$의 메탄 생산 전환율을 보였으며, 이는 기질의 67.4%에 해당하는 에너지가 메탄 가스로 전환된 것을 의미한다. HRT 100일에서 0.52 $m^3$/kg $TS_{added}$로 가장 높은 바이오가스 전환율을 보였지만, 모든 HRT에서 0.45${\sim}$0.52 $m^3$/kg $TS_{added}$로 큰 차이가 나지 않았다. 고형물 함량이 높은 기질의 원활한 주입을 위해 소화조 발효액의 일부를 기질 투입구로 반송하여 기질과 혼합 후 주입하였다. 주입하고자 하는 기질의 5배에 해당하는 양의 소화조 발효액을 반송하여 혼합하였을 때, 가장 효과적인 기질 주입이 이루어졌다. 중온 건식 조건에서 서식하는 메탄 소화균의 활성도를 측정한 결과, 아세트산, 뷰틸산, 프로피온산을 이용할 경우 각각 2.66, 1.94, 1.20 mL $CH_4/g$ VS/d였다.

고추장을 첨가한 쿠키의 품질 특성 및 항산화성 (Quality Characteristics and Antioxidant Activities of Cookies added with Gochujang)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of adding gochujang addition to cookie dough on the quality characteristics of cookies. Cookies were prepared by replacing 0% 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% flour with gochujang. The gochujang pH, total soluble solid and salinity were $4.84{\pm}0.02$, $63.33{\pm}4.19%$ and $7.63{\pm}009%$, respectively. The moisture content in gochujang was $40.10{\pm}0.10%$, and the color values of gochujang was were as L-value $24.46{\pm}0.06$, a-value $10.18{\pm}0.13$, and b-value $7.44{\pm}0.10$. The pH values of cookies decreased according to the addition of gochujang. The values of density and loss rate in cookies were not-significantly different among the samples. Spread factor and moisture content of cookies increased with amounts of added gochujang. The salinity and total soluble solid content of cookies with gochujang were significantly higher than those of the control. L-value was significantly reduced, and a-value and b-value increased by adding gochujang. Total phenolic content and DPPH free radical scavenging activities were increased according to the amount of gochujang. For sensory evaluation, gochujang added cookies were more preferred in terms of color, softness and overall preference. Overall, these results indicate that adding 10% gochujang is desirable for making gochujang cookies.

연료극 지지체식 고체산화물 연료전지의 기계적 및 전기적 특성에 미치는 Ni-YSZ의 미세구조의 영향 (Effect of Microstructure on Mechanical and Electrical Properties in Ni-YSZ of Anode Supported SOFC)

  • Electrode of solid oxide fuel cell must have sufficient porosity to allow gas transport to the interface with electrolyte effectively but high porosity has a negative impact on structural stability in electrode support. Thus, the upper limit of porosity is based on consideration of mechanical strength of electrode. In this study, the effect of microstructure of Ni-YSZ anode supported SOFC on the mechanical and electrical property was investigated. LSCF composite cathode and 8YSZ electrolyte were used. The porosity of the anode was modified by the amount of graphite powder and added graphite contents were 24, 18, 12 vol%, respectively. The higher the porosity, the better the electrical performance, $P_{max}$. While the flexural strength decreased with increasing the amount of graphite. But the rate of increase in electrical performance and the rate of decrease in mechanical strength were not directly proportional to amount of graphite. The optimum graphite content incorporating both electrical and mechanical performance was 18 vol%.

  • Five cast gamma titanium aluminides, Ti-45~48%Al-2%Nb-2%Cr (nominal composition in at. %), were laser welded and their weld cracking susceptibilities were evaluated. Laser power, traversing rate and preheat temperature were systematically varied to generate a series of welds exhibiting a wide range of cooling rate ($100^{\circ}C/s-10,000^{\circ}C/s$). As Al content increased and the weld cooling rate decreased, solidification cracking susceptibility increased while solid-state cracking susceptibility decreased. Through laser beam energy input control and preheat, it was determined possible to produce high quality laser welds.

  • The effect of graphite on the frictional characteristics of Cu-based sintered friction materials was studied by pin-on-disk type wear test. A study has been carried out concerning the optimum concentration of graphite in sintered friction material to obtain the minimum wear rate and low friction coefficient . Friction coefficient and wear rate were increased as increasing the content of graphite in the matrix. In the study the optimum concentration of graphite was 19vol % to get the minimum wear rate and optimal frick'ion coefficient.

열가용화를 이용한 음식물탈리여액의 고형물 감량화 및 메탄 생산에 관한 연구 (Solid Reduction and Methane Production of Food Waste Leachate using Thermal Solubilization)

  • Since the ocean dumping of organic wastes is prohibited under the London Convention, the need for land treatment of food waste leachate (FWL) has significantly been growing in recent years. This study was conducted to use thermal solubilization to turn FWL into a form that can easily be degraded during the anaerobic digestion process, thereby reducing the percentage of solids and increasing the production of methane. To derive the optimal operating conditions of thermal solubilization, a laboratory-scale reactor was built and operated. The optimal reaction temperature and time turned out to be $190^{\circ}C$ and 90 min, respectively. The BMP test showed a methane production of 465 mL $CH_4/g$ $COD_{Cr}$ and a biodegradation rate of 90.1%. The production of methane rose by about 15%, compared with no the application of thermal solubilization. To reduce the solid content of FWL and improve the methane production, therefore, it may be helpful to apply thermal solubilization to pre-treatment facilities for anaerobic digestion.
