The effect of film morphology by bar-coating process for large area perovskite solar modules

  • Organic-inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells have received attention because it has a number of advantages with excellent light harvesting, high carrier mobility, and facile solution processability and also recorded recently power conversion efficiency (PCEs) of over 20%. The major issue on perovskite solar cells have been reached the limit of small area laboratory scale devices produced using fabrication techniques such as spin coating and physical vapor deposition which are incompatible with low-cost and large area fabrication of perovskite solar cells using printing and coating techniques. To solution these problems, we have investigated the feasibility of achieving fully printable perovskite solar cells by the blade-coating technique. The blade-coating fabrication has been widely used to fabricate organic solar cells (OSCs) and is proven to be a simple, environment-friendly, and low-cost method for the solution-processed photovoltaic. Moreover, the film morphology control in the blade-coating method is much easier than the spray coating and roll-to-roll printing; high-quality photoactive layers with controllable thickness can be performed by using a precisely polished blade with low surface roughness and coating gap control between blade and coating substrate[1]. In order to fabricate perovskite devices with good efficiency, one of the main factors in printed electronic processing is the fabrication of thin films with controlled morphology, high surface coverage and minimum pinholes for high performance, printed thin film perovskite solar cells. Charge dissociation efficiency, charge transport and diffusion length of charge species are dependent on the crystallinity of the film [2]. We fabricated the printed perovskite solar cells with large area and flexible by the bar-coating. The morphology of printed film could be closely related with the condition of the bar-coating technique such as coating speed, concentration and amount of solution, drying condition, and suitable film thickness was also studied by using the optical analysis with SEM. Electrical performance of printed devices is gives hysteresis and efficiency distribution.

생탈곡(生脱糓)벼의 깔아말림 특성(特性)과 건조조건(乾燥條件)이 동할미(胴割米) 발생(發生)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Mat Drying Characteristics of the Wet-thresheds Rough-rice and Effect of Drying Environment on the Cracks Formation)

  • 1. 생탈곡(生脫穀)벼의 관행(慣行) 평건(平乾)의 건조특성(乾燥特性)과 각종건조(各種乾燥) 환경이 건조속도(乾燥速度)와 동할미(胴割米)의 발생(發生)에 미치는 영향을 수원 264와 미네히까리 2개(個)의 품종(品種)에 대(對)하여 조사(調査)하였다. 2. 생탈곡(生脫穀)벼 야외(野外) 건조시(乾操時) 벼의 水分含量(수분함량)은 주(主)로 조사(照射)된 누계일사량(累計日射量)에 따라 결정되었으며 건조(乾燥) 시기(初期) 벼의 수분함량(水分含量)과 일사량(日射量)과의 관계를 수식화(數式化)하였다. 3. 생탈곡(生脫較)벼 건조특성(乾燥特性)은 대체적으로 항율건조특성(恒率乾燥特性)을 따랐으며 벼층(層)의 두께가 클수록 항율건조(恒率乾燥)에 따르는 경향이 더욱 뚜렷하였다. 4. 벼층(層)의 두께와 건조속도(乾操速度)와의 관계는 지수적(指數的)인 수식(數式)으로 나타낼 수 있었다. 5. 건조기간중(乾燥期癎中) 환적효과(換積效果)는 건조속도(乾操速度)의 면(面)에서는 벼층(層)두께의 감소(減少)에 상당하는 효과(效果)를 보였으며 동할미(胴割米) 발생율(發生率)을 현격히 줄이는 효과(效果)를 나타냈으며 수원(水原) 264와 같은 장위종(長粒種)에서 그 효과(效果)는 더욱 뚜렷하였다. 6. 생탈곡(生脫穀)벼의 건조장소(乾燥場所) 간(間)에는 뚜렷한 차이(差異)는 없었으며 일사량(日射量) 기준(基準) 벼의 건조효율(乾燥效率), 건조속도(乾燥速度) 및 동할미(胴割米)등을 고려(考慮)할 때 최적(最適) 벼층(層)의 두께는 6cm정도(程度)이었다.

  • 韓國煙草硏究所, 大邱試驗場(北緯35$^{\circ}$49')에서 1979年 透明한 fiber glass로 지은 円柱型 greenhouse(4.50$\times$3.83$\times$2.80m)內에 乾燥室의 外壁 및 天井을 Polyurethan에 함석을 입혀 黑色 paint로 coating한 板을 heat absorber겸 斷熱板으로, 乾燥室 양편에 各各 4.5㎥의 자갈을 넣은 gravel heat storage system 그리고 greenhouse內의 加熱된 空氣를 練燒室로 誘導할 수 있는 air duct를 설치한 8.25㎥의 太陽熱 直接利用 方式의 Bulk 乾燥材와 同一한 크기의 Bulk 乾燥材를 比較 試驗하였다. 乾燥期間中 外溫 30.5~35.5$^{\circ}C$, 總日射量 1004.2~1436.2 cal/$\textrm{cm}^2$의 條件下에서 3回 乾燥 試驗한 結果, 天井 heat absorber의 最高溫度는 89$^{\circ}C$이였으며, 練燒室로 吸入되는 空氣의 最高溫度는 64$^{\circ}C$이며 평균 46$^{\circ}C$로서 外溫에 비하여 18$^{\circ}C$가 높았고, 慣行Bulk乾燥材에 비하여 25%의 燃料가 節減되였다.

태양열을 이용한 공기가열 집열기의 부력효과 해석 연구 (Study on Analysis of Buoyancy Effect in Air-heating Collector using Solar Heat)

  • The renewable energy is known as eco-friendly energy to reduce the use of fossil fuel and decrease the environmental pollution due to exhaust gas. Targets of solar collector in domestic are usually acquisitions of hot water and hot air. System of air-heating collector is one of the technologies for obtaining hot air in cases of especially heating room and drying agricultural product. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of thermal flow such as relative pressure, velocity, outlet temperature and buoyancy effect in air-heating collector using solar heat. The flow field of air-heating collector was simulated using ANSYS-CFX program and the behaviour of hot air was evaluated with SST turbulence model. As the results, The streamline in air-heating collector showed several circular shapes in case of condition of buoyancy. Temperature difference in cross section of outlet of air-heating collector did not almost show in cases of buoyancy and small inlet velocity. Furthermore merit of air-heating collector was not observed in cases of inlet velocities. Even though it was useful to select condition of buoyancy for obtaining high temperature, however, it was confirmed that the trade off between high temperature of room and rapid injection of hot air to room could be needed through this numerical analysis.

김분말의 제조와 특성 (Preparation of Laver Powder and Its Characteristics)

  • 김의 분말화를 위한 최적조건을 결정하기 위하여 돌김과 참김을 천일건조, 열풍건조$(60,\;105^{\circ}C)$, 진공건조 및 동결건조방법을 사용하여 건조방법에 따른 김의 ascorbic acid함량과 김의 대표적인 색소인 chlorophyll, carotenoid, phycobilin의 변화를 조사하였다. 김의 chlorophyll, carotenoid, phycobilin은 김을 채취하여 수세, 건조하는 과정뿐만 아니라 건조방법에 의해서도 손실되는 양의 차이가 나타났다. 고온의 열풍건조는 김의 색소 보존 면에서 가장 좋지 많은 방법으로 나타났으며, 사용한 건조방법 중 동결건조가 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, vitamin C는 건조방법에 따라 75-99% 까지 손실되었다. 김분말의 등온흡습곡선들은 sigmoid형의 곡선을 나타했으며, BET식에 따라 결정한 단분자층 수분함량은 돌김과 참김분말 모두 6.30%(dry basis)이었다.50 mesh, 80 mesh, 100 mesh 체로 사별한 돌김 분말은 각각 80, $100{\sim}110$$110{\sim}120\;{\mu}m$를 중심으로 단일한 입도분포를 나타내어 김분말의 입자가 균일함을 알 수 있었다.

  • Surplus water inside a concrete other than moisture that is used for hydration of the cement affects the physical properties of the concrete (modulus of elasticity, compressive strength, drying shrinkage, and creep) by drying. Changes in temperature and humidity inside a concrete has correlation with the movement speed and reaction rate of deterioration factors such as carbon dioxide and chloride ions. In this study, comparison was performed between temperature and relative humidity inside the concrete and meteorological data for exposure environment through measurement at the site for two years. Surface temperature of the concrete (depth 1cm) was measured higher by 6℃ during the summers, while it was measured lower by 2℃ during the winters due to solar radiation, wind, and radiation cooling. As for relative humidity, change was large in the depth of 1cm, while more than 85% was maintained in the depth of 10cm.

Fabrication of Ozone Bubble Cleaning System and its Application to Clean Silicon Wafers of a Solar Cell

  • Ozone micro-bubble cleaning system was designed, and made to develop a unique technique to clean wafers by using ozone micro-bubbles. The ozone micro-bubble cleaning system consisted of loading, cleaning, rinsing, drying and un-loading zones, respectively. In case of the cleaning the silicon wafers of a solar cell, more than 99 % of cleaning efficiency was obtained by dipping the wafers at 10 ppm of ozone for 10 minutes. Both of long cleaning time and high ozone concentration in the wet-solution with ozone micro-bubbles reduced cleaning efficiency because of the re-sorption of debris. The cleaning technique by ozone micro-bubbles can be also applied to various wafers for an ingot and LED as an eco-friendly method.

GQD layers for Energy-Down-shift layer on silicon solar cells by kinetic spraying method

  • Graphene quantum dots (GQDs), a new kind of carbon-based photo luminescent nanomaterial from chemically modified graphene oxide (CMGO) or chemically modified graphene (CMG), has attracted extensive research attention in the last few years due to its outstanding chemical, optical and electrical properties. To further extended its potential applications as optoelectronic devices, solar cells, bio and bio-sensors and so on, intensive research efforts have been devoted to the CMG. However, the CMG, a suspension of aqueous, have problematic since they are prone to agglomeration after drying a solvent. In this study, we synthesized the GQDs from graphite and deposited on silicon substrate by kinetic spray. The photo luminescent properties of deposited GQD films were analyzed and compared with initial GQDs suspension. In addition, its carbon properties were investigated with GQDs solution properties. The properties of deposited GQD films by kinetic spray were similar to that of the GQDs suspension in water. We could provide a pathway for silicon-based silicon based device applications. Finally, the well-adjusted GQD films with photo luminescence effects will show Energy-Down-Shift layer effects on silicon solar cells. The GQD layers deposited at nozzle scan speeds of 40, 30, 20, and 10 mm/s were evaluated after they were used to fabricate crystalline-silicon solar cells; the results indicate that GQDs play an important role in increasing the optical absorptivity of the cells. The short-circuit current density (Jsc) was enhanced by about 2.94 % (0.9 mA/cm2) at 30 mm/s. Compared to a reference device without a GQD energy-down-shift layer, the PCE of p-type silicon solar cells was improved by 2.7% (0.4 percentage points).

  • Preparation of $TiO_2$ Film by the Dip-coating Method and its Application to photo-electrochemical Electrodes. $TiO_2$ film of n-type semiconductor has been of great interest as a material for solar energy conversion. For its practical application, the dip-coating method has been applied to prepare $TiO_2$ (anatase) film on the nesa glass substrate. Films up to about $1.8{\mu}m$ in thickness can be obtained by repeating the operation, dipping $\to$ pulling up $\to$ drying $\to$ heating at $500^{\circ}C$ for 10 minute. Heating temperature at $500^{\circ}C$ was adopted to convert $TiO_2$ gels into $TiO_2$ crystalline films. The $TiO_2$ films showed the maximum photocurrent ($14mA/cm^2$) at the film thickness of about $1.8{\mu}m$. It was also found that the additional heating at $500^{\circ}C$ for about 20 minutes improved remarkably the photo current of the $TiO_2$ films.

  • The present study has been conducted to offer an geometrically optimal structure of a storage tank for a regenerator. In this paper, three kinds of baffle plates supposed to increase the regeneration rate and classified as "Type A($L^*$=0.25, 80(L)$\times$300(W)$\times$50 (H) [mm])", "Type B($L^*$=0.5, 150(L)$\times$300(W)$\times$50 (H) [mm])", and "Type C($L^*$=0.75, 230(L)$\times$300(W)$\times$50(H) [mm])" were suggested and tested. They were placed between the vertical C-C layers in the tank. Solution temperature and concentration were used to evaluate the regeneration rate. As a result, the regeneration rate was better in "Type C".
