탄소나노튜브 전극의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Properties of Carbon Nano-Tube Electrode)

  • For application of carbon nano-tube (CNT) as a counter electrode materials of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC), the electrochemical behavior of CNT electrode was studied, employing cyclic-voltammetry (C-V) and impedance spectroscopy. Fabrication of CNT-paste and formation of CNT-counter electrode for characteristic measurement have been carried out using ball-milling and doctor blade process, respectively. Unit cell for measurements was assembled using Pt electrode, CNT electrode, and iodine-embedded electrolyte. Field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) was used for structural investigation of CNT powder and electrode. Sheet resistance of electrode was measured with 4-point probe method. Electrochemical properties of electrode, C-V and impedance spectrum, were studied, employing potentiogalvanostat (EG&G 273A) and lock in amplifier (EG&G 5210). As a results, the sheet resistance of CNT electrode is almost similar to that of F-doped SnO2 (FTO) coated glass substrate as approximately 10 ohm/sq. From C-V and impedance spectroscopy measurements, it was found that CNT electrode has high reaction rate and low interface reaction resistance between CNT surface and electrolyte. These results provides that CNT electrode were superior to that of conventional Pt electrode. Particularly, the reaction rate in the CNT electrode is about thrice high than Pt electrode. Therefore. CNT electrode is to be good candidate material for counter electrode in DSSC.

  • 최근 들어 VSAT 시스템은 수요자의 필요에 의해 많은 기술발전을 가져왔다. 과거에는 저속의 데이터 통신 및 전화위주로 많이 사용되었으나 최근에는 통신량의 증가와 인터넷의 발달로 고속의 데이터통신 시스템으로 발전하고 있다.[1] 따라서 Application Service에 따라 기존의 TDMA 방식의 VSAT 시스템과 고속통신용의 DVB-RCS 시스템으로 양분되어 사용하고 있다. 기존의 TDMA 방식은 주로 SCADA, POS, VOICE 통신 등의 저속 데이터 통신 위주로 많이 사용하고 DVB-RCS 방식은 Multi Media 및 인터넷 서비스로 고속의 데이터 통신 용으로 많이 사용되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 원격 무인 사이트가 Solar-Cell Battery를 이용하는 측면에서 소비전력 최소화 및 유지보수 편리성을 증대하기 위한 측면을 고려하여 무선 원격 자료 전송을 위한 VSAT 시스템 설계, 알고리즘 및 H/W제작을 소개하고자 한다.

  • In this research, we have studied the development of dc-dc converter suitable for the driving of mobile instruments by using a dye-sensitized solar cell(DSC). We also have designed a interlocking circuit. The circuit makes power from DSC be saved in one battery and concurrently be discharged in the other battery. As this application, mobile devices like MP3, cellular phone are drived by using power from DSC during the daytime and they can be drived by using the saving energy of the daytime during the night. Besides, we designed dc-dc converter circuit to drive low power instruments by using NMOS switch and PMOS rectifier.

  • 태양광발전은 수소에너지, 풍력발전 등과 더불어 화석에너지를 대신하여 전기생산을 할 수 있는 미래의 무공해 청정에너지 자원으로 주목받고 있다. 태양광 이용은 화석에너지에 비하여 경제성이 미흡하여 보급에 많은 애로가 있었으나 지속적인 연구개발로 인하여 경제성확보에 많은 성과가 있었고 또 환경오염에 대한 대체에너지 개발에 대한 사회전반에 걸친 폭 넓은 이해를 바탕으로 이용분야를 점차 확대하고 있다 우리나라의 태양광 이용은 낙도나 오지의 전원, 고속도로의 전광판 및 비상전화 전원, 산불방지 관측장치의 전원, 주거용 주택에서 전기기기 전원 등으로 이용되고 있다 반면 선진외국에서는 주로 대규모 발전용으로 연구 개발되고 있으며 국가적 차원에서 지속적인 투자가 이루어지고 있다.   • In this study, it was aimed to develop the re-use technology of ultra-fine silicon powders, by-products during the current production process of high purity poly-Si feedstock. For this goal, the compacts of the silicon powders were tried to fabricate by CIP (Cold Isostatic Pressing) method using silicon rubber mold without chemical binder materials. The density ratio of the silicon powder compacts reached 74%. In order to simulate the actual handling and charging conditions of feedstock material in casting process, a shaking test was carried out and mass loss measured. Finally, the silicon powder compacts were melted using a cold crucible induction melting method and the purity assessment was conducted by Hall effect measurement.

  • The ground amorphous powder was consolidated into a dense sintered body with a typical ultrafine $Al_2O_3-GdAlO_3$ eutectic structure by spark plasma sintering (SPS). Sintered material with ultrafine and dense eutectic structure was obtained by an appropriate combination of rapid quenching and SPS at lower temperature and more quickly than by conventional sintering. The $Al_2O_3$-based rare earth eutectic ceramics for solar cell emitters are believed to have a higher efficiency and the $Al_2O_3$ based eutectic ceramics with ultrafine grains will be one of the promising materials showing excellent selective emitter characteristics.

  • Solar cell is typical representative of renewable green energy. Silicon wafer contributes about 66 percent to its cost structure. In its manufacturing, micro-cracks are often occurred due to manufacturing process such as wire sawing, grinding and cleaning. Their detection and classification are important to process feedback information. In this paper, a classification method of micro-cracks is proposed, based on the fusion of principal component analysis(PCA) and neural network. The proposed method shows that it gives higher results than single application of two methods, in terms of shape and size classification of micro-cracks.

  • Solar cell converts sunlight into the electricity that one of the most versatile forms of energy. It has been developed and applied on residental electric power system by urbanized countries as a alternative energy source to overcome energy problem after oil shock. This paper summarizes the results of these efforts by offering a snapshot of the configuration of photovoltaic in residential applications. The status of PV system components and inter-connection and safety equipment will be summarized. Hence this paper discusses only points that might be useful for application.

  • The role of Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS) is to generate a power and distribute it to the electrical devices for the system operation. For on-orbit operation of cube satellite, it is also necessary to supply power to on-board mission devices as commercial satellite does. Recently, commercial EPS products dedicated for the cube satellite application has been developed and widely used for the power subsystem design. In this paper, a permanent magnet attitude stabilization method without external power has been introduced because it has advantage from power consumption point of view and the EPS design of cube satellite by applying the commercial EPS products has been introduced and investigated. This paper also deals with the specification of the commercial EPS products for the beginner of the cube satellite design.
