토양 훈증 및 녹비작물 재배가 인삼의 연작장해 경감에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Soil Fumigation and Maize Cultivation on Reduction of Replant Failure in Ginseng)

  • Background: Dazomet are widely used as soil fumigant to solve soilborne problems, and the degradation intermediates are toxic to nematodes, fungi, bacteria, insects and weeds. Methods and Results: The effects of cultivation of green manure crop, maize before and after soil fumigation on the control of ginseng root rot disease were compared using soil where 6-years-old ginseng was harvested. Fumigant (dazomet) were used for soil fumigation in May and September, respectively. Maize was grown for soil management before and after soil fumigation. After May fumigation, the sowing date of maize was delayed by 15 days and thus its dry weight was decreased significantly. Maize cultivation after May fumigation increased pH but decreased EC, $NO_3$, $P_2O_5$, and K significantly. Maize cultivation after May fumigation decreased fungi population and the ratio of fungi and bacteria. Growth of 2-years-old ginseng was improved and the incidence of ginseng root rot was significantly decreased by maize cultivation after May fumigation. After harvesting 2-years-old ginseng, the population of Cylindrocarpon destructans was not different between treatment of May and September, but Fusarium solani showed a significant increase in September fumigation after maize cultivation. Conclusions: Maize cultivation after soil fumigation was effective in inhibiting ginseng root rot by the amendment of mineral composition and microorganism in fumigated soil.

작약 검은뿌리썩음병 발생실태와 방제 (Occurrence and Control of Black Root Rot of Peony (Paeonia lactiflora) on Continuous Cropping)

  • 작약검은뿌리썩음병은 연작을 할 경우 현저히 발생이 증가하였으며, 태백작약 품종에 비해 의성작약 품종에서 좀 더 심한 발병을 보였다. 종구로 사용하는 뇌두를 약제에 침지시 병원균은 검출되지 않았으나 물에만 침지한 경우 병원균이 검출되었다. 연작지의 토양개량시 검은뿌리썩음병의 방제는 효과가 없었으나 다조메입제로 토양을 훈증소독할 경우 토양훈증처리구에서 주근중과 근장이 단순연작구와 비교하여 50% 정도 증가하였으며 검은뿌리썩음병의 발병율은 무처리구의 경우 40.6% 정도 발병되었으나 토양훈증처리구는 4.7% 정도로 발병되어 아주 높은 방제효과를 보였으며 종구소독과 훈증처리를 병행시 발병율은 더욱 낮아졌다.

  • Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) has occurred on fields annually disease occurrence rates were 73.3% in 2005, 53.3% in 2006 and 41.6% in 2007 at Anyang area in Gyeonggi Province. Seasonal occurrence pattern of TSWV showed a dramatic increase from 8.7% in late May to 30.1 % in early June in 2007 at Anyang area, coincided with the high population of a thrip, Frank-liniella occidentalis at that time. The rate of viruliferous thrips with TSWV on lettuce and red pepper was 20.2% and 52.1%, respectively, in greenhouses. Dazomat, soil fumigation pesticide, reduced TSWV disease incidence drastically on table tomato as treatment the chemical into the soil with humidity in early spring in 2006 and 2007. Spraying insecticide periodically after treatment with Dazomat was more effective to control TSWV than spraying if on plants or applying into the soil of the insecticide during growing season. Control efficiency through treatments both of the soil fumigation and of spraying insecticide was significantly high with 85.3% in 2006 and 87.8% in 2007. Removing the potential vector from the soil of TSWV infested area can be an effective strategy for reducing TSWV disease.

  • 석회질소의 인삼포 예정지 훈증제로서의 적량을 구하기 위하여 실내시험을 하였다. 중국제 석회질소는 추천량 (60Kg/10a)의 배량에서도 인삼 입고병균인 라이족토니아 (Rhizoctonia solani)와 피지움 (Pythium sp.)에 대한 멸균효과가 없었다. 멸균 유효수준은 10,000 ppm이였다. 토양 미생물에 대하여서는 250 ppm에서 토양곰팡이의 밀도를 50% 감소 시켰으며 방선균 50%이상 증가시키고 세균에는 변화가 없었다. 살균력에서 분제가 입제보다 우수하였다. 무씨의 발아억제는 9,000 ppm 이상에서 확인되었다.

연작지 토양에서 토양연증제 처리가 인삼의 근부, 적변 및 생육에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Soil Fumigation on Growth, Root Rot, and Red Discoloration of Panax ginseng in Replanted Soils)

  • The effect of soil fumigation on the growth, yield, root-rot and red discoloration of 2 year-old ginseng, Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer was investigated in the ginseng replanted fie14 Six soil fumigants, Cylone, Basamid, D-D, Dowfume MC-2, Telone C-17, and Vapam were applied in March, 1980, and 2 year-old ginseng plants were transplanted in April, 1981, and sampled in August, 1981. Growth an yields in Cylone and Basamid treated plots in the replanted soil were better than those in control. Especially, growth and yields of ginseng in Cyclone treated Plots were comparable to these in untreated virgin soil. Control effect of soil fumigants used on root-rot was in the order of Cylone, Basamid, Telone C-17, and the lest of them showed neglect fur effect. Frequency of red discoloration was 8% in Cyclone treated plots, 9% in Basamid treated plots 83.3% in the untreated ginseng replanted soil, and 2.5% in the untreated virgin soil.

경북지역(慶北地域)사과원(園)의 개식장해(改植障害) 발생가능성(發生可能性)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Study on the Possibility of Occurrence of Apple Replant Disease in Kyungpook Region)

  • 경북지방(慶北地方)사과원(園)의 사과나무 개식장해(改植障害) 발생여부(發生(與否)와 발생정도(發生程度)를 밝힐 목적(目的)으로 20년이상(年以上) 사과재배(栽培)가 계속되고 있는 23개(個) 사과원(園)의 토양(土壤)을 채취(採取)하여, 토양소독(土壤消毒)에 의(依)한 사과실생묘(實生苗)의 생장(生長)과 개식장해(改植障害)에 관련(關聯)된 것으로 알려진 몇 가지 요인(要因)을 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같았다. 1. 사과실생묘(實生苗)의 생장(生長)은 6개(個) 과원(果園)에서 유의차(有意差)가 있었고, 가장 큰 차이(差異)를 나타낸 과원(果園)에서 38% 증가(增加)되었다. 2. 생체중(生體重)에서는 지하부(地下部)가 4개원(個園), 지하부(地下部)가 10개원(個園) 전생체중(全生體重)에서는 9개원(個園)에서 유의차(有意差)를 나타내었고, 지상부(地上部)에서 토양소독(土壤消毒)에 의(依)한 차이(差異)가 가장 현저(顯著)하였으며, 5개과원(個果園)에서는 50%이상(以上) 증가(增加)되었다. 3. 토양중(土壤中)의 Cu 및 As 농도(濃度), 토양선충수(土壤線蟲數)는 사과실생묘(實生苗)의 생장(生長)과 생체중(生體重)에 뚜렷한 영향(影響)을 미치지 않았다. 4. 토양(土壤) PH와 개식장해발생간(改植障害發生間)에는 뚜렷한 관계(關係)를 확인(認定)할 수 없었다.

  • [ $1982\~1983$ ]년 사이에 한국인삼연초연구소 음성시험장의 세균성마름병 상습발병포지에서 이 병의 방제체계 확립을 위해 시험한 결과 1. 세균성마름병은 세균증식에 적합한 온도와 토양습도가 주어진 7월하순${\cdot}$8월하순에 가장 큰 피해를 나타냈으며 토양훈증제처리구 및 저항성품종재배구에서는 병발생이 적고 느리게 나타낮다. 2. 세균성마름병의 방제효과는 감수성품종인 NC23 26에 비하여 저항성품종인 NC82의 무처리재배의 경우 $44.7\%\~55.8\%$의 방제효과를 보았으며 토양훈증제처리에 저항성품종인 NC82를 재배 할 경우 $95\~99\%$의 방제효과를 보았다. 경종적처리에서는 무처리재배에 비하여 $0.8\~20\%$로 낮게 나타났으며 저항성품종이나 토양훈증제를 함께 사용 할 경우 그 상승효과는 거의 인정되지 않았다. 3. 세균성마름병의 종합적인 방제체계확립은 경종적처리(춘추경, 잔간근제거, 조기이식, 피복물제거)에 토양훈증(Cylon)를 10a당 40l 토양관주한 후 저항성 품종(NC82)을 재배할 때 $95\%$ 이상의 방제효과를 거둘 수 있었다.

  • 한국산(韓國産)과 미국산(美國産) 모래밭버섯 균근균(菌根菌)(Pisolithus tinctorius : Pt)의 포자접종효과(胞子接種効果)를 비교(比較)하기 위하여 리기테다 소나무 파종상(播種床)에 접종(接種)을 하였다. methyl bromide로 훈증(薰蒸)된 묘포장(苗圃場)에 $1m^2$당(當)의 1g의 Pt포자(胞子)를 접종(接種)하고 파종(播種)하여 당년(當年) 가을에 묘고생장(苗高生長)을 조사(調査)하였는데 미국(美國) Pt로 접종(接種)된 묘목(苗木)은 한국(韓國) Pt로 접종(接種)된 것보다 묘고(苗高)에서 15% 더 컸으며, 훈증(薰蒸)만 하고 접종처리(接種處理)되지 않은 묘목(苗木)을 중간정도의 생장(生長)을 보였다. 따라서 한국(韓國) Pt의 묘목(苗木)는 별로 없는 것으로 추측된다. 그 다음해 실시한 볕도의 실험(實驗)에서, 토양훈증(土壤薰蒸) 후 미국(美國) Pt 혹은 韓國 Pt로 접종(接種)한 묘목(苗木)은 훈증(薰蒸)없이 자생균근균(自生菌根菌)으로 감양(感梁)된 묘목(苗木)보다 당년(當年)에 묘고(苗高)에서 각각 66%와 60% 더 컸다. 이것은 Pt 접종효과(接種効果)와 토양훈증효과(土壤薰蒸効果)가 함께 나타난 것으로 생각된다. 본 실험(實驗)은 균근균(菌根菌) 포자(胞子)를 접종원(接種原)으로 사용할 수 있는 가능성을 보여주는 것이며, 미국(美國) Pt와 같이 어떤 지역(地域)에 적응한 Pt 균(菌)의 선발(選拔)이 중요하다는 것과 한국(韓國)에서도 우수한 균근균(菌根菌)을 선발(選拔)할 필요가 있다는 것을 나타내고 있다.

Formation of humus-bound residues in the course of BTX biodegradation in soil

  • To examine whether the xylene component of BTX (benzene, toluene, xylene) mixture is cometabolized and residues are produced in soil, $\^$14/C-labeled-0-xylene was added to sandy loam in combination with unlabeled benzene and toluene. After 4 weeks of incubation in a sealed system connected to an oxygen reservoir, 55.1% of the radiocarbon was converted to $\^$14/CO$\sub$2/, 3.0% was to 95.8% radiocarbon recovery. Biomass incorporation of o-xylene radiocarbon which was detected by fumigation/extraction was usually low (5.6%), but 32.1% radiocarbon became associated with soil humus. Most of the numus-bound radiocarbon was found in humin fraction. In addition to o-xylene, p-xylene and toluene also showed similar results. The evidence shows that some of their reactive methylcatechol biodegradation intermediates attach to the humic metrix in soil in preference to mineralization and biomass incorporation.

한국 서식 흰개미의 특성과 방제 (Characteristic of Termite inhabits in South Korea and the control)

  • There are about 2,000 species of termite in the World, but one species of termite inhabits in the southern part of Korean peninsula. Termites are social insects that live in colonies. The colonies are composed of king, queen, soldiers and workers. Termite food consists of cellulose obtained from wood. Protozoa in their digestive tracts convert the cellulose into usable food. Korean termite is a subspecies of Reticulitermes speratus Kolbe, Rhinotermitidae. It's subterranean termite and the scientic name is R. speratus kyushensis Morimoto. The subterranean termite must nest in the soil in order to survival, and infest soft-wood which contact with the soil near the nest. There are several ways which subterranean termite infestations can be noticed. Atcertain times of the year during daylight hours, king and queen termites emerge from the colonies. The propose of these flight is to establish new colonies. The termite is a decomposer of biological ecosystem, but an invader in the preservation of cultural properties as like wood buildings. There are serveral control methods for the prevention of wood building from termite's damages. Those are biological control, ecological control, physical control and chemical control. Ecological and Physical control are the best methods in the new constructing wood-building. Fumigation which is a method of chemical control, is the best method for the building damaged by the termite. After the fumigation, we have totake wood & soil treatments for the building and nearby in order not to be reinvaded by the termites.
