  • This paper is to study a subclass of group-oriented cryptographic scheme: Many-to-one encryption and authentication scheme. The many-to-one encryption and authentication scheme is to solve a practical problem, i.e., the scenario that the number of the receivers is very small compared with the number of the senders and a receiver may serve millions of senders. Compared with the traditional methods, the burdens of the receiver and the KGC are reduced greatly. How to revoke a sender from his receiver's legitimate sender group is also proposed and it is efficient compared with some traditional methods. The proposed scheme is proven in the random oracle models. The computational complexity of our scheme is independent of the number of the senders. At the end of the paper, an example is given to show how to use our scheme in online software registration and update.

  • Since we finished the purchase of the cooled Schottky diode mixer receiver made by Radiometer Physics Co. for the 120-170GHz range in October 1991, we have not prepared the PPL hardware and software for this receiver and the ellipsolidal mirror for beam guiding. After these problems were solved, this receiver was installed at the 14m telescope in late December 1993, and used for the confirmation of a spectral line detection and the measurement of the beam efficiency. The beam efficiency is about 36% at 146 GHz.

  • This paper considers the performance of the non-participating GPS software receivers under the presence of GPS pseudolite(PL). For the continuous PL signal and pulsed PL signal, the impact of PL signals on the GPS software receivers is investigated according to the signal strength of the PL and the distance between the PL and the GPS receiver.

  • In most existing researches on non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) with symmetric superposition coding (SSC), uniform sources have been usually considered. For the first part in this two-part paper, for the strongest channel gain user, we showed that the bit-error rate (BER) for the optimal maximum a-posteriori (MAP) receiver for the non-uniform source improves slightly, compared to that of the conventional receiver for the uniform sources. We demonstrate that in communication scenarios of the non-uniform source NOMA schemes, for the weakest channel gain user, the BER performance of the optimal MAP receiver for a non-uniform source improves greatly, compared to that of the conventional receiver for uniform sources. We first derive an analytical expression of the BER for non-uniform source NOMA with SSC. Then, simulations demonstrate that the BER of the optimal MAP receiver for the non-uniform source improves, compared with that of the conventional maximum likelihood (ML) receiver for the uniform sources. In result, the proposed optimal MAP receiver for the non-uniform source could be a promising scheme for SSC NOMA, with improved BER performances.

  • In this study, an algorithm that detects a spoofing signal for a GPS L1 signal was proposed, and the performance was verified through RF spoofing signal simulation. The proposed algorithm determines the reception of a spoofing signal by detecting a correlation distortion of GPS L1 C/A code caused by the spoofing signal. To detect the correlation distortion, a detection criterion of a spoofing signal was derived from the relationship among the Early, Prompt, and Late tap correlation values of a receiver correlator; and a detection threshold was calculated from the false alarm probability of spoofing signal detection. In this study, an RF spoofing environment was built using the GSS 8000 simulator (Spirent). For the RF spoofing signal generated from the simulator, the RF spoofing environment was verified using the commercial receiver DL-V3 (Novatel Inc.). To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, the RF signal was stored as IF band data using a USRP signal collector (NI) so that the data could be processed by a CNU software receiver (software defined radio). For the performance of the proposed algorithm, results were obtained using the correlation value of the software receiver, and the performance was verified through the detection of a spoofing signal and the detection time of a spoofing signal.

  • It is necessary that Fail-Safe Seaway technology providing a continuous navigation solution though fault of navigation system is occurred in sea. This paper focus on signal processing of GPS receiver, one of receivers using the software radio technology to implement a integrated radio navigation system including satellite-based and ground-based navigation systems. It is difficult to implement the software GPS receivers using a commercial processor because of the heavy computational burden for processing the GPS signals in real time. This paper proposes an efficient multi-bit GPS signal processing scheme to reduce the computational burden for processing the GPS signals in the software GPS receiver. The proposed scheme uses a compression concept of the multi-bit replica signals and patterned look-up table method to generate the correlation value between the GPS signals and the replica signals.

  • In dish concentrating system, natural convection heat loss occurs in cavity receiver. Heat loss mechanisms of conduction, convection, and radiation can reduce the system efficiency. To obtain the high efficiency, the receiver is to absorb the maximum of solar energy and transfer to the working fluid with maximum of heat losses. The convection heat loss is an important factor to determine the system performance. Numerical analysis of the convection heat loss of receiver was carried out for varing inclinaton angle from 0$^{\cdot}$ to 70$^{\cdot}$ with temperature range from 400$^{\cdot}C$ to 600$^{\cdot}C$ using the commercial software package, Fluent 6.0. The result of numerical analysis was comparable with convection heat loss model of solar receiver.

  • We derive joint probability density functions (JPDFs) for two adjacent data from direct-detection optical receivers in dense wavelength-division multiplexing systems. We show that the decision using two data per bit can increase the receiver sensitivity compared with the conventional decision. Our JPDFs can be used for software-defined optical receivers enhancing the receiver sensitivities for intensity-modulated channels.

  • GPS spoofing is an intentional interference which uses the mimic GPS signals to fake the receivers. The generic GPS receiver is hard to recognize the spoofing signal because the spoofer generates the fake signals as close as possible to the GPS signal. So the spoofer can do critical damage to public operations. This paper introduces a basic concept of spoofing and analyzes the effect of the spoofing signal to the GPS receiver. Also for stand-alone GPS receivers, two anti-spoofing methods are implemented : RAIM based method and the SQM based method. To evaluate the performance of anti-spoofing method, the software based spoofing signal generator and GPS signal generator are implemented. The performance of the anti-spoofing methods obtained using the output of the software based GPS receiver shows that SQM based method is more effective when multiple spoofing signals exist.
