  • Hot forging is widely used in the manufacturing of automotive component. The mechanical, thermal load and thermal softening which is happened by the high temperature die in hot forging. Tool life of hot forging decreases considerably due to the softening of the surface layer of a tool caused by a high thermal load and long contact time between the tool and workpieces. The service life of tools in hot forging process is to a large extent limited by wear, heat crack, plastic deformation. These are one of the main factors affecting die accuracy and tool life. It is desired to predict tool life by developing life prediction method by FE-simulation. Lots of researches have been done into the life prediction of cold forming die, and the results of those researches were trustworthy, but there have been little applications of hot forming die. That is because hot forming process has many factors influencing tool life, and there was not accurate in-process data. In this research, life prediction of hot forming die by wear analysis and plastic deformation has been carried out. To predict tool life, by experiment of tempering of die, tempering curve was obtained and hardness express a function of main tempering curve.

생볏짚의 연화처리와 피복스트레치 필름의 색깔에 따른 랩사일리지의 품질분석 (Quality Analysis of Fresh Rice Straw Wrapping Silage by Softening Treatment of Fresh Rice Straw and Colors Effects of Wrapping Stretch Film)

  • Recently, in Korea, round bale wrapping silage made by fresh rice straw are partially utilized. The colors of stretch film using far wrapping the fresh rice straw round bale are white, green and black. The light transmittance of green and white color stretch film was not founded the difference. However, the light transmittance of black color stretch film was largely difference of two stretch films. This study was carried out to measure qualities of fresh rice straw wrapping silage by softening processing of fresh rice straw and colors effects of wrapping stretch film. The analyzed factors were the light transmittance of stretch film, variation of the temperature in fresh rice straw round bale and qualities of the silage in crude protein, ADF, NDF, organic acid, etc. It was difficult to find in this study the colors effects of stretch film on silage qualities by the silage wrapping. But, when make fresh rice straw wrapping silage, wrapping silage fermentation effect goes well more if handle softening the fresh rice straw.

냉간가공된 TP304 스테인리스강 모재와 용접재를 이용한 반복 변형 및 손상 거동에 미치는 중성자조사 영향 모사 (Simulating Nuetron Irradiation Effect on Cyclic Deformation and Failure Behaviors using Cold-worked TP304 Stainless Steel Base and Weld Metals)

  • This study presents cyclic stress-strain and tensile test results at room temperature (RT) and 316℃ using cold-worked TP304 stainless steel base and weld metals. By comparing the cyclic hardening/softening behavior and failure cycle of cold-worked materials with those of irradiated austenitic stainless steels, the feasibility of simulating the irradiation effect on cyclic deformation and failure behaviors of TP304 stainless steel base and weld metals was investigated. It was found that, in the absence of strain-induced martensite trasformation, cold-working could properly simulate the change in cyclic hardening/softening behavior of TP304 stainless steel base and weld metals due to neutron irradiation. It was also recognized that cold-working could adequately simulate the reduction in failure cycles of TP304 stainless steel base and weld metals due to neutron irradition in the low-cycle fatigue region.

1-MCP와 에틸렌 혼용처리가 장기간 저온저장 후 상온에 보관된 '후지' 사과의 연화 억제에 미치는 영향 (Control of Softening of Long-Term Stored 'Fuji' Apples at Low Temperature and Subsequent Shelf-life by Combination Treatment of 1-MCP and Ethylene)

  • '후지' 사과(Malus${\times}$domestica Borkh.)에 $1.0{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$ 1-MCP를 처리하거나 또는 1-MCP 처리 후 $10{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$ 에틸렌가스를 살포(1-MCP+에틸렌)하여 180일간 $0.5^{\circ}C$ 저온에서 과실의 저장성을 조사한 후에, 28일 동안 상온에서 보관하면서 연화정도를 비교하였다. 1-MCP 또는 1-MCP+에틸렌 처리된 과실의 산 함량과 경도는 저온저장 120일 이후부터 높은 수준으로 유지되었고, 이후 상온보관 28일 동안에서도 높게 나타났다. 1-MCP처리 과실은 저온저장+상온보관 동안 14N 이상으로 경도가 유지되었다. 과피 적색도는 저온저장 기간 중에는 처리에 따라 일관성 있는 결과가 나타나지 않았지만 상온보관 21일과 28일째에서는 1-MCP처리에 의하여 4.0 이상 높은 수준이 유지되었다. 대조구와 에틸렌 처리구는 저온저장 90일차에 에틸렌과 호흡량이 크게 상승되었고 클라이매터릭 맥시멈이 지나면서 노화가 더 빨리 진행된 것으로 판단되었다. 따라서 1-MCP가 처리된 과실은 $10{\mu}L{\cdot}L^{-1}$정도의 에틸렌에 노출되더라도 장기간 저온저장과 약 한달간의 상온저장 동안 상품성 유지가 가능한 것으로 평가되었다.

23Cr26Ni 내열강의 피로 특성 (Fatigue Behavior of 23Cr26Ni Heat Resistant Steel)

  • The influence of the cooling condition after solution treatment on the high temperature fatigue resistance of 23Cr-26Ni heat resistant steel was investigated. Two different cooling conditions were applied to the steel after solution treatment at $1200^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours. One specimen was water quenched immediately after the solution treatment. The other one was furnace cooled at a rate of $0.5^{\circ}C/min$ down to $750^{\circ}C$ after the solution treatment. Then, both specimens were aged at $750^{\circ}C$ for 5 hours. Under two different heat treatment conditions, the low cycle fatigue (LCF) test was performed at $600^{\circ}C$ and room temperature (RT). Only cyclic hardening continued from the beginning until fracture at all strain amplitudes during LCF at $600^{\circ}C$. This phenomenon was attributed to the increase in the dislocation density due to cyclic deformation, which resulted in the interaction between the newly created dislocations and precipitates. Cyclic hardening followed by saturation and cyclic softening was observed at RT. Cyclic softening was attributed to the dislocation annihilation rate exceeding the dislocation generation rate. Other probable factor for cyclic softening was some cavities formed around grain boundaries after 20 cycles. WQ and FC have a similar LCF behavior at RT and $600^{\circ}C$ as shown in the cyclic stress response curves.

수확기, 온도 및 Ethephon 처리에 따른 떫은감 (Diospyros kaki Thunb.)의 연화 (Softening of Astringent Persimmon (Diospyros kaki Thunb.) as Affected by Harvest Time, Temperature, and Ethephon Treatment)

  • 본 연구는 떫은감 "청도반시"를 조기착색과는 9월 21일, 적숙과는 10월 11일에 수확하여 수확시기에 따른 연화정도를 조사하고, 연시제조의 적정온도를 설정하고자 10, 15, $20^{\circ}C$에서의 품질변화를 조사하였다. 경도는 처리온도 15, $20^{\circ}C$에서 처리 2일만에 전체 경도 감소량에 70% 정도 감소되었으며, 6일 이후에는 경도의 감소가 완만하게 되었다. 처리온도 $10^{\circ}C$는 다른 처리온도에 비하여 높은 경도를 나타내어 연시제조에는 효과가 없었다. 가용성탄닌은 수확시기에 관계없이 15, $20^{\circ}C$의 처리구에서 6일째에 급격히 감소하였으나, 무처리구는 가용성탄닌이 약간 감소되었다. 조기수확과의 Hunter 'L', 'b' value는 모든 처리온도에서 2일째까지 증가한 후 감소하였고, 적숙과는 초기부터 감소하기 시작하여 8일째부터는 비교적 일정한 경향을 보였다.

연화방법에 따른 기능성 식품 소재로써의 생선뼈의 특성 (Characteristics of Fish Bone as the Functional Food Additives Produced with Different Softening Methods)

  • Fish bone-based calcium products are currently receiving much attention among high value-added industries involving calcium. Industrial processing of fish products yields unused fish parts including bones, which could be used as marine health foods to enhance the economic and environmental benefits of fish production. The ultimate goal of this study is to develop the high value-added fisheries products fortified with fish bones supplementing calcium. We here explored the physical and chemical softening methods of the fish bones to enhance texture of the fish products with a high degree of calcium absorption rates. The eluted calcium from the fish bone was quantified with the inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). The characteristics of the softened fish bones were determined by the laser diffraction particle size analysis, texture profile analysis, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) analysis. As the result, the optimized softening method of fish bone was established when Theragra chalcogramma bone was treated twice with the pressurized high temperature (110-120℃ and 1.0-1.5 kg/cm2). The produced softened fish bone turned out to be suitable for the food additives with low particle sizes, low hardness values, and negligible VOCs responsible for the unpleasant flavors.

전변형률 에너지밀도를 이용한 고강도 저 합금강의 저주기 피로수명 예측 (Low Cycle Fatigue Life Prediction of HSLA Steel Using Total Strain Energy Density)

  • Low cycle fatigue tests are performed on the HSLA steel that be developed for a submarine material. The relation between strain energy density and numbers of cycles to failure is examined in order to predict the low cycle fatigue life of HSLA steel. The cyclic properties are determined by a least square fit techniques. The life predicted by the strain energy method is found to coincide with experimental data and results obtained from the Coffin-Manson method. Also the cyclic behavior of HSLA steel is characterized by cyclic softening with increasing number of cycle at room temperature. Especially, low cycle fatigue characteristics and microstructural changes of HSLA steel are investigated according to changing tempering temperatures. In the case of HSLA steel, the $\varepsilon$-Cu is farmed in $550^{\circ}C$ of tempering temperature and enhances the low cycle fatigue properties.

열 점착을 이용한 혼합 폐 플라스틱의 선택적 분리 (Separation of wasted plastics by thermal adhesion)

  • 혼합되어 배출되는 플라스틱을 분리 및 선별하기 위한 기존의 방법들은 플라스틱 비중의 유사성, 입도의 제한 등의 요인으로 인해 단일재질의 플라스틱으로 분리하는데 많은 어려움이 따른다. 본 연구에서는 플라스틱의 재질별 연화온도와 점착 특성이 다른 점에 착안하여 열 점착 방식을 이용하여 혼합 플라스틱을 분리하는 방식을 개발하고자 하였다. 일상생활에서 사용되는 범용수지를 시료로 이용, batch 방식의 실험장치를 제작하여 온도를 변화시키면서 각 플라스틱의 점착 온도 범위, 점착율을 실험적으로 조사하였다. 또한 접촉시간과 플라스틱의 착색제의 유무, 입자 크기 등 다양한 조건들을 변화시키면서 그에 따른 영향을 조사하였으며 이를 실제 혼합 폐 플라스틱에 적용하여 분리효율을 조사하였다. 실험 결과 혼합 플라스틱에서 비중이 유사한 LDPE와 HDPE, PET와 PVC, 그리고 PP와 PVC 등을 온도의 변화에 의해 선택적으로 분리할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

공정변수를 조절한 폴리에틸렌 산화왁스 합성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Synthesis of Oxidized Polyethylene Wax by Controlling Reaction Parameters)

  • Oxidized polyethylene wax is obtained by oxidation of polyethylene wax and it is composed of various chemicals, e.g., fatty acid, alcohol, ketone and ester. The application of oxidized polyethylene wax is determined by the composition of these chemical substances. In this basic study we observed the basic reaction parameters of time, temperature, oxygen concentration and catalysts on the oxidation reaction of low molecular weight polyethylene(PE wax) by analyzing the acid value, physical and chemical properties of oxidized PE wax to develop a new oxidation process. Acid values are increased with temperature increase in the rage of $150^{\circ}C^{\sim}180^{\circ}C$ but decreased beyond 190$^{\circ}C$. Acid values are also increased with oxygen concentration. As the oxidation reaction proceeds the molecular weight and softening points of oxidation products are decreased by cracking reaction, but the viscosities are increased. To observe the crystallinity of oxidation products SEM experiment was performed. To obtain a high acid-value product in a mild condition, we adopted free radical catalysts and the acid value of the product using catalyst was higher than the product obtained without catalyst in the same reaction condition. The effective initiators were dicumyl peroxide(DCPO), t-butylperoxy-2-ethyl hexanoate(HOPO) and benzoyl peroxide(BPO) having long half-life.
