  • This paper describes the actual experiments of the error propagation and studies of analytical photogrammetry using the simulation method in which we can find the causes of the errors. These studies and the results give the valuable data which are very effective for systematically controlling the errors in aerial triangulation. The main contents in my paper are as follows: 1. Dose the scale errors in the successive models in the form of normal distribution appear when the observation errors propagate in the form of normal distribution\ulcorner 2. In what form does this scale error propagation in the actual model appear\ulcorner 3. When the causes of the scale error propagation are found, is the evaluation standard determined normally\ulcorner 4. What degree of influence is there form the constant errors\ulcorner I have done several experiments using the simulation method technique to solve the complicated error propgation of aerial triangulation which is the effective means to research the relations between cause and effect. In this paper, the studies have concentrated on the following points of simulation experiments. (1) The first part descries how we can produce the soft program of the simulation experiment. (2) The second part is the method propagating the errors in the simulation models and the kinds of errors. (3) The final part is the most important; that is the analyzing and evaluation of control during actual work. From the above-mentioned points, it is said that these studies are a very important development in the field of controlling and managing aerial photogrammetry and especially in the case of error propagation, we can clearly find the causes of the errors and steps and parts of errors generated when we use these techniques.

  • Manufacturing of lens and mirror using Diamond Turning Machine (DTM) offers distinct advantages including short fabrication time and low cost as compared to grinding or polishing process. However, the DTM process can leave mid-frequency error in the optical surface which generates an undesirable diffraction effect and stray light. The mid-frequency error is expected to be eliminated by mechanical polishing after the DTM process, but polishing of soft surface of ductile aluminum is extremely difficult because the polishing process inevitably degrades the surface form accuracy. In order to increase its surface hardness, we performed electroless nickel plating on the surface of diamond-turned aluminum (Al-6061T6) off-axis mirrors, which was followed by the 6-hour-long baking process at $200^{\circ}C$ for improving its hardness. Then we polished the nickel plated off-axis mirrors to remove the mid-frequency error and measured polished mirror surfaces using the optical surface profilometer (NT 2000, Wyko Inc.). Finally, we ascertained that the mid-frequency error on the mirror surface was successfully removed. During the whole processes of nickel plating and polishing, we monitored the form accuracy using the ultra-high accurate 3-D profilometer (UA3P, Panasonic Corp.) to maintain it within the allowable tolerance range (< tens of nm). The polished off-axis mirror was optically tested using a visible laser source and a pinhole, and the airy pattern obtained from the polished mirror was compared with the unpolished case to check the influence of mid-frequency error on optical images.

  • In this paper, we propose a syndrome decoding scheme that can correct two errors for single error correcting Hamming codes within a code length. The decoding scheme proposed in this paper has the advantage of significantly improving the error rate performance compared to the decoder complexity by correcting multiple errors without substantially increasing the decoding complexity. It is suitable for applications in which the energy use of encoder/decoder is extremely limited and the low error rate performance is required, such as IoT communications and molecular communications. In order to verify the improvement of the error rate performance of the Hamming code with the proposed decoding scheme, we performed simulation on Hamming codes with short code length in the AWGN and BPSK modulation environments. As a result, compared with the conventional decoding method, the proposed decoding scheme showed performance improvement of about 1.1 ~ 1.2[dB] regardless of the code length of the Hamming code.

  • Based on multi-body dynamic software RecurDyn, this paper proposes a modified form of timing silent chain system combing with the existing problem that vibration and chain tension is too large, which is applied for complicated conditions in a V-type engine, such as high speed, variable loads. The analysis of chain drive meshing characteristics is completed. Using the multi-body dynamic soft-ware RecurDyn, the dynamics characteristics of the improved system is studied, including chain tension, transmission error, chain fluctuations, equivalent spring force in different operating conditions. The study results show that chain tension, transmission error, chain fluctuation and equivalent spring force are within the scope of permission, all of them can meet the design requirement. There-fore, the design of this system is reasonable and practicable. The research results will provide a basis for assessing timing silent chain system in a V-type engine and a theoretical reference for designing and optimizing the timing silent chain system.

  • It is well-known that the cooperative communication and error control technology can improve the network performance, but most existing cooperative MAC protocols have not focused on how to cope with the contention process caused by cooperation and how to reduce the bad influence of channel packet error rate on the system performance. Inspired by this, this paper first modifies and improves the basic rules of the IEEE 802.11 Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol to optimize the contention among the multi-relay in a cooperative ARQ scheme. Secondly, a hybrid ARQ protocol with soft combining is adopted to make full use of the effective information in the error data packet and hence improve the ability of the receiver to decode the data packet correctly. The closed expressions of network performance including throughput and average packet transmission delay in a saturated network are then analyzed and derived by establishing a dedicated two-dimensional Markov model and solving its steady-state distribution. Finally, the performance evaluation and superiority of the proposed protocol are validated in different representative study cases through MATLAB simulations.

  • A soft-decision decoding scheme of a channel code for correcting an error occurring in a receiver of a digital communication systems is proposed. A method for efficiently decoding by use of the linear and arithmetic structure of linear block codes is presented. In this way, the probability of decoding errors has been reduced. In addition, it is possible to reduce the complexity of decoding as well. Sufficient conditions for achieving optimal decoding has been derived. As a result, the sufficient conditions enable efficient search for candidate codewords. With the proposed decoding scheme, we can effectively perform the decoding while lowering the block error probability.

  • In this paper, a triple-core delayed lock-step processor is proposed for automotive applications. It performs same operations in three different cores independently, and votes their results to get final values. Therefore its operations are safe even if errors occur in one core. Its three cores operate in a delayed manner to prevent simultaneous errors in multiple cores due to radiative ray or electromagnetic wave. When an error occurs in main core connected to the memory, wrong values can be stored in the memory, so the proposed processor performs memory rollback to restore correct values. Simulation results show that the proposed processor successfully compensates various errors.

  • FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array) devices are widely used due to their merits in circuit development time, and development cost. Among various FPGA technologies, SRAM-based FPGAs have large cell capacity so that they are attractive for complex circuit design and their reconfigurability. However, they are weak in space environment where radiation energy particles cause Single Event Upset(SEU). In this paper, we designed a controller supervising SRAM-based FPGA to protect configuration memory inside. The controller is implemented on an Anti-Fusing FPGA. Radiation test was performed on the implemented computer board and the result show that our controller provides better SEU-resilience than TMR-only system.

  • In this paper, Multistage Adaptive Partial PIC eliminating effectively the multiple access and multipath interference for DS-CDMA based W-CDMA uplink system is designed and its performance is evaluated with computer simulation. By adaptively controlling the slope of the soft limiter with received signals, the efficiency of the soft limiter can be maximized and the better performance is obtained by solving error floor problem using further precise generation of interference signal. As a result, The proposed Multistage Adaptive Partial PIC with simple optimizing method for time-variant channel showed optimum performance at fewer stages. Besides fewer stages, the interference cancellation at the output of the rake receiver considerably reduced system complexity. The Multistage Adaptive Partial PIC with precise generation and efficient cancellation of interference signal can solve error eoor problem, resulted from initial false detection and improve system performance of high data rate system.

  • In this paper, an improved decoding scheme for low-complexity parity-check(LCPC) code with small code length is proposed. The LCPC code is less complex than the turbo code or low density parity check(LDPC) code and requires less memory, making it suitable for communication between internet-of-things(IoT) devices. The IoT devices are required to have low complexity due to limited energy and have a low end-to-end delay time. In addition, since the packet length to be transmitted is small and the signal processing capability of the IoT terminal is small, the LCPC coding system should be as simple as possible. The LCPC code can correct all single errors and correct some of the two errors. In this paper, the proposed decoding scheme improves the bit error rate(BER) performance without increasing the complexity by correcting both errors using the soft value of the modulator output stage. As a result of the simulation using the proposed decoding scheme, the code gain of about 1.1 [dB] was obtained at the bit error rate of $10^{-5}$ compared with the existing decoding method.
