This paper has investigated the cultural practices influencing business performance and integrity in selected Malaysian contractors and has discussed culture related issues to improve the management of cultural capitals in the Malaysian construction industry. Issues of current enterprise culture and applicable cultural practices, leadership styles, enterprise axiology and integrity, cultural practices and loyalty, and identification of organizational culture are discussed during the semi-structured interviews and questionnaire survey. Conclusions has been drawn that the people oriented and task oriented management style have a similar quantity of supporters in Malaysian contractors. The integrity and profit are respectively identified as the enterprise axiology in the ethical and economic perspective. The monkey culture is considered as the most applicable type for the cultural practice and the current enterprise cultures applied in the Malaysian contractors are mostly positive to both the organizations and society.

Vaccines, especially for viruses, have been produced from egg-based manufacturing process. The method is simple and easy to set up the manufacturing process. However, the method has many problems in quality control, limit of manufacturing capacity, and ethical issues. Over the last decade, an alternative method, which manufactures vaccines using cell culture-based system, has received great attention to overcome the problems in egg-based vaccine production. This article examines current status and perspectives of cell culture-based vaccine production.

The furniture of the Joseon era, life sense of human forms a culture has appeared well. The present study has investigated and explored the role of Sungkyunkwan during the Joseon Dynasty and implications for modern education in South Korea using numerous literature dataset, such as google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science. Sungkyunkwan had a significant role in the Joseon dynasty's academic, social and political life. They were known as Sungkyunkwan scholars and were the elite group with a significant controlling influence over the governmental structure. In addition, they influenced policy-making, judiciary, and culture preservation through their understanding and application of Confucianism. More specifically, the Sungkyunkwan graduates were appointed to serve in many administrative capacities in Hanyang and other city provinces, spreading the culture and beliefs of Sungkyunkwan throughout the kingdom. According to the prior study, South Korea faces the issues of modernity; however, the approaches brought by Sungkyunkwan and the concept of education that was adopted still have their relevance. Education in modern Korean society is closely connected with scholars; schools and universities are built to cultivate brilliant individuals with solid morals and values for society. The spirit of Sungkyunkwan, which is about diligence, perseverance, and ethical conduct, is still rooted in the Korean educational system.

Traditional architectural space, which is a historical cultural heritage must be connected mutually as a organic flow of various elements such as the environment of the time, political background and values, rather than approaching with fragmentary point of view. The Silhak Philosophy, the basis of late Chosun society developed equity thoughts on the basis of ideology of humanism, and it asserted the promotion of technology and industry as a measure to realize the pursuit of truth which is practically useful. Thus, we could verify the possibility of convergent interpretation of cultural technology of Hwaseong architectural space through the humanistic viewpoint of pioneer spirit of Silhak Philosophy which regards human as a main agent of desire of life, and the pursuit of truth which is useful for reality, and the realization of ethical value by aesthetic practicalism. Based on this, the ontological meaning and value of Suwon Hwaseong by the viewpoint of convergence of culture and technology have been drawn as the construction of planned new town by the practice of filial duty, the plan of city space based on rational values, the realization of a metropolis where self-sufficient economic activities are possible, the introduction of thorough construction management system, the introduction of advanced culture and its creative application, and the application of scientifical knowledges and cutting-edge technology.

대중영상매체인 애니메이션은 계층, 나이, 국가를 초월한 범세계적 수요에 기반하며 그 사회문화적 영향력은 갈수록 확대되고 있다. 하지만, 현대 대중문화에 있어서 애니메이션의 부정적 영향이 증가하고 있으며, 이에 따라, '윤리성의 회복' 이라는 성찰적 관점에서 애니메이션의 역할에 대한 교육적 차원의 토의가 필요한 시점이라 사료된다. 이에, New York Times등 많은 언론으로부터 성공적인 교육 모델로 주목받고 있는 몰몬교 학교인 BYU(Brigham Young University)의 건전한 윤리적 가치관을 담고 있는 학생 애니메이션 작품에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 위해, 첫째, 애니메이션의 부정적인 영향에 대해 1)폭력성, 2)과다한 선정성, 3)문화간 정체감의 혼란, 4)성차별, 5)왜곡된 역사관을 기준으로 문헌조사를 하였으며, 둘째, BYU의 몰몬교에 바탕한 청교도정신과 애니메이션 학과의 교육과정에 대해 분석한다. 셋째, 이를 바탕으로, 학생 애니메이션 13편의 연출적 특성에 대해 사례조사를 진행한다. 본 연구를 통해, 첫째, 대부분의 애니메이션 작품은 코믹장르로써 어린이 및 동물 캐릭터를 중심으로 가족적이고 서정적인 스토리를 구성하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한, 스토리 구성에 있어서 우연적 우화적인 사건 전개방식으로 연출되었다. 둘째, 종교학교인 BYU의 종교정신과 다학제적 교육방법이 애니메이션영상 제작에서 윤리적인 표현기법과 기술적 완성도로 연계됨을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통해, 실용학문 분야인 애니메이션 교육의 윤리성 회복의 관점이라는 새로운 패러다임 제시와 애니메이션 제작에서 건전한 가치관이 어떻게 내재되는지 살펴보는데 본 연구의 의의가 있다 하겠다.

The present study explored a comprehensive investigation of university professors' perspectives on the implementation of ChatGPT - an artificial intelligence-powered language model - in their teaching practices. A diverse group of 30 university professors responded to a questionnaire about the level of their interest in implementing the tool, willingness to apply it, and concerns they have regarding the intervention of ChatGPT in higher education setting. The results showed that the participants are highly interested in employing the tool into their teaching practice, and find that the students are likely to benefit from using ChatGPT in classroom settings. On the other hand, they displayed concerns regarding high depandency on data, privacy-related issues, lack of supports required, and technical contraints. In today's fast-paced society, educators are urged to mindfully apply this inevitable generative AI means with thoughtfulness and ethical considerations to and for their learners. Relevant topics are discussed to successfully intervene AI tools in teaching practices in higher education.

Purpose - This study empirically analyzes the effects of social responsibility activities (legal, charitable, environmental, ethical) of franchised chain hotels on customer value and SNS citizenship behavior. Furthermore, this study examines mediating role of customer value on SNS citizenship behavior. Design, data, and methodology - A survey was conducted on customers residing in Korea who had visited the franchised chain hotels in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and other regions, over a period of three months (from October 1, 2016 to December 31, 2016). There were a total of 426 valid samples, and the hypotheses were tested through hierarchical analysis. Results - First, among the social responsibility activities of franchised chain hotels, all four factors of legal, charitable, environmental, and ethical responsibilities had a statistically significant positive effect on customer value. Second, among the social responsibility activities of franchised chain hotels, all four factors had a statistically significant positive effect on SNS citizenship behavior. Third, customer value had a statistically significant positive effect on SNS citizenship behavior. Conclusions - Since social responsibility activities are utilized as a means of direct marketing, for creating and selling images of products and services of franchised chain hotels, it is necessary to become a fixed form of corporate culture.

Western medicine was first introduced to Korea by Christian missionaries and then by the Japanese in the late 19th century without its historical, philosophical, cultural, social, political, and economic values being communicated. Specifically, during the Japanese colonial era, only ideologically 'degenerated' medicine was taught to Koreans and the main orthodox stream of medicine was inaccessible. Hence, Korean medical education not only focuses on basic and clinical medicine, but also inherited hierarchical discrimination and structural violence. After Korea's liberation from Japan and the Korean war, the Korean medical education system was predominantly influenced by Americans and the Western medical education system was adopted by Korea beginning in the 1980s. During this time, ethical problems arose in Korean medical society and highlighted a need for medical humanities education to address them. For Korean medical students who are notably lacking humanistic and social culture, medical humanities education should be emphasized in the curriculum. In the Fourth Industrial Revolution, human physicians may only be distinguishable from robot physicians by ethical consciousness; consequentially, the Korean government should invest more of its public funds to develop and establish a medical humanities program in medical colleges. Such an improved medical education system in Korea is expected to foster talented physicians who are also respectable people.

우리는 이 논문에서 존 스타인벡(John Steinbeck)의 "에덴의 동쪽(East of Eden)"에서 중요한 역할을 하고 있는 주인공 캐릭터인 Caleb Trask (또는 Cal)의 삶을 통해 얻은 교훈을 연구한 결과를 제시한다. Caleb의 삶은 자아, 타인, 그리고 사회와의 갈등을 극복하며 자아 발견의 과정에서 하나의 좋은 예를 제공해 주고 있다. 그는 여정 동안 자신의 감정을 인정하고 표현하는 법을 배우며 감정을 관리하고 이해하는 중요성을 강조한다. 욕망과 갈등에 직면하는 경우에는 지신이 생각하는 도덕적인 판단을 내려 행동하고, 윤리적 결정에 기반한 자기 결정의 중요성을 투명하게 보여주면서 자신의 진솔한 감정 표현과 수용은 감정 관리와 이해의 핵심 가치를 강조한다. 더불어 그의 이야기는 인간 관계에서 이해와 타협의 명확한 중요성을 강조한다. 우리는 이러한 주제에 대한 철저한 탐구를 제시하며, Caleb의 이야기에서 얻은 교훈이 어떻게 우리의 일상생활에 적용될 수 있는지를 고려한다. 이 논문에서 분석한 결과, 우리는 이러한 교훈을 어떻게 실제로 적용하고 실천할 수 있는지에 대한 통찰력을 얻을 것으로 기대한다.
