The Purpose of this study is to explore if people with intellectual disabilities can play a role as 'meaningful informants' in research process in Korea, by challenging the existing paradigm which consists of suspicion on the communication ability of people with intellectual disabilities and truthlessness of their statements, which results in ignorance on the covered life of people with intellectual disabilities. In this research, lessons which could learn through reinterpretation of my research experience are as follows. Firstly, the deficits of communication ability can be supplemented with restructuring interview instruments such as research questions, visual aids etc and adopting conversation analysis methods. Secondly, Suspicion on the truthlessness of their statements can be restructured by epistemological and methodological reinterpretation on the representation of social reality. Thirdly, the mechanism of exclusion and oppression according to the ignorance can be substituted by 'uncovering the life of people with intellectual disabilities', which can be basis of reconstructing the contents of programmes in the disability service centers and disability policies in the government. With these research results it could be argued that there needs to include people with intellectual disabilities as meaningful informants in the research projects funded by the government and also to provide people with intellectual disabilities with diverse roles in the research process by virtue of the development of qualitative research methods in the near future.
The value and importance of Gamification has intensified as the way Gamification is applied to social networking applications has added to users' interest and involvement to the product. Gamification entails the adoption of gaming techniques and modes of thinking in non-gaming domains to elicit user engagement. To this end, the paper draws on Gamification's analytical model, Octalysis, with the aim of identifying user loyalty of the three major Chinese social networking applications and extracting their characteristics. In this regard, the first task in the advancement of the study is to establish an understanding of the components and characteristics of Gamification within the context of available examples. Next, a questionnaire survey covering China's three dominant social applications, WeChat, QQ, and Xiaohongshu, is administered and their user loyalty is examined through Octalysis's eight analytical frameworks. By virtue of analysis, the results demonstrate that the three elements of game mechanics, Point, Badge, and Leadboard, which are external to the game, fail to sustain the user loyalty, but are merely a means to an end. Only by including a combination of social application features, contents and user needs can Gamification considerations be maximized to ensure that users are subjectively engaged with the product.

Eroticism represented in the editorial fashion photographs can be divided into the expression by clothing design and by creating erotic atmospheres. Erotic expressions by clothing design can be presented by 1)exposing directly 2)exposing indirectly 3)emphasizing the body parts. The most frequently presented erotic body parts in fashion photographs were legs(25%), followed by the bodice with breast (21%), the waist (16%), the hip (12%), neck & shoulder (10%), arms (9%), and abdomen (7%). The results indicated that legs were considered to be a erotic body parts often than the traditionally referred erotic body parts, such as bodice with breast or hip. This paper attempts to examine how woman's role defined by the public discourse took issue with private desires of an individual woman in Tabitha Gilman Tenney's Female Quixotism (1801). Tenney borrows and transforms the ideas of quixotism and picaresque from Don Quixote, which involve an inherent paradox in the post-Revolutionary America. The Republican Ideology emphasized women's crucial role as guardians of family virtue and molders of republican citizens. Therefore, women were not allowed to travel outside of the domestic space as freely as a male picaro could do. In fact, the"adventures"depicted in the novel are constituted of a series of courtship in which Dorcasina, the heroine, unceasingly tries but fails to find a husband fit for her romantic idea about love and marriage formed by novel reading. However, the process shows that a variety of socially disadvantaged groups as well as women were excluded from the public space of the post-Revolutionary America. This half-a-century quest does not end with a conventional happy marriage, but Dorcasina finds herself a disillusioned old maid, resigned to a life of charity. Yet the ending exposes social contradictions inherent in early Republic of America, by showing how an individual woman's life was prescribed and limited by the dominant public discourse.
This research is about brief accomplishment analysis of Low-Income Class Business Incubator Project, based on applicants' perspective who has been supported by this project, which is funded by the enterprise. As a result of 'quality focused evaluation method', it shows that Low-Income Class Business Incubator Project's applicants experience both economic and non-economic accomplishments such as "work with responsibility," "better future in reality," "Self and change of relationships around self". It concludes that "experience of difference" or "providing hope for Low-income class" brought positive effects on applicants who participated in this projects. The study revealed the virtue of this Low-Income Class Business Incubator Project and reassured its message: the importance of major corporate' responsibility in solving social issues, especially in poverty and its independence.
What are the meanings of abduction as a methodology of Cultural Studies? By contextualizing Charles Sanders Peirce's logic of abduction in the discipline of Cultural Studies, I explore the epistemological discussion on the modern scientific research methodology of social sciences. Abduction is a kind of logical inference, which is often associated with guessing or intuition. Peirce's method of abduction and Cultural Studies' contextual formation in effect address an alternative methodology to positivism. Criticizing the modern Eurocentric structure of knowledge construction, I suggest that the virtue of abduction, as a logic of discovery, should be re-discovered in the context of Cultural Studies. Abduction holds important lessons for Cultural Studies as well as social sciences in general because of its focus on intuition, empathy, and intellectual collaboration. Through its elaboration of the logic of abduction, Cultural Studies is able to maintain not only its epistemological ground but also its methodological communicability.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate systematic and comprehensive explanation about safety behavior by applying integrated model of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Social Cognitive Theory (SCT). By showing the interrelationship of effects of factors affecting safety behavior in a single model, comprehensive understanding regarding safety behavior will be possible. Research design, data, and methodology: This study try to integrate the two theory, TPB and SCT, to introduce background factors, such as safety culture, affecting cognitive factors of subjective norm, safety attitude, perceived behavioral control, safety consciousness, which are again affecting behavior intention of the TPB. We composed 73 questionnaire to analyse the relationship among factors affecting safety behavior. The questionnaire were distributed to stewards and stewardesses of KAL, ASIANA, and LCCs. 422 were collected and used for analysis. Factor analysis, regression analysis, and control effect analysis were conducted using SPSS windows version 2.0. Results: The safety culture, safety atmosphere, and safety education/training were turned out to affect subjective norm, safety attitude, perceived behavioral control, safety consciousness. And the cognitive factors also showed to affect safety intention significantly. The results that safety intention affects safety behavior was found. Also there are control effect of cost consciousness and punishment while safety intention affects safety behavior. Conclusions: Safety is the virtue that should be given first priority to in our daily life. To secure safety, everyone in an organization should have high level of safety intention and conduct safety behavior. The study results provide systematic and comprehensive understandings on the relationship among factors affecting cabin crews' safety behavior. The results will help design safety related regulations, education/training, and support employees to engage in safety behavior related activities.
