TSTE: A Time-variant Stochastic Trust Evaluation Model in Social Networks

  • Building appropriate trust evaluation models is an important research issue for security guarantee in social networks. Most of the existing works usually consider the trust values at the current time slot, and model trust as the stochastic variable. However, in fact, trust evolves over time, and trust is a stochastic process. In this paper, we propose a novel time-variant stochastic trust evaluation (TSTE) model, which models trust over time and captures trust evolution by a stochastic process. Based on the proposed model, we derive the time-variant bound of untrustworthy probability, which provides stochastic trust guarantee. On one hand, the time-variant trust level of each node can be measured by our model. Meanwhile, by tolerating nodes with relatively poor performance, our model can effectively improve the node resource utilization rate. Numerical simulations are conducted to verify the accuracy and consistency of the analytical bounds on distinguishing misbehaved nodes from normal ones. Moreover, simulation results on social network dataset show the tradeoff between trust level and resource utilization rate, and verify that the successful transmission rate can be improved by our model.

The Dynamics of Social Media Marketing: Unraveling the Impact on Customer Purchase Intentions through Engagement and Trust

  • Purpose: The primary aim of this study is to explore how social media marketing influences customer purchase intention, focusing on the roles of customer engagement and trust as mediators. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: The investigation utilized an online survey conducted in Chinese on the Questionnaire Star platform. It targeted male and female consumers aged 18 and above who purchase products online, yielding 1107 valid responses from across major Chinese cities. Results: Analysis reveals that social media marketing significantly affects customer purchase intention in a positive manner. It also enhances customer engagement and trust, which serve as crucial mediating variables linking social media marketing to purchase intention. The study found that engagement and trust facilitate brand identification and alignment, thereby directly boosting purchase intention. Conclusion: The findings offer essential insights for businesses aiming to improve their social media marketing impact on consumer behavior. It highlights the importance of fostering user engagement and trust, as well as creating a favorable brand image. These elements are key to influencing consumer purchase decisions within social media contexts. The study advises businesses to engage deeply with consumers and build trust, providing practical recommendations for navigating the evolving social media environment towards sustainable growth.

소셜네트워크서비스에서 지속사용의도 및 관계채널확장에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors Affecting Continuous Intention and Expansion of Communication Channels in Social Network Service)

  • To stress the importance of privacy in social networking, I presented an analysis on how information control and information management vulnerability influence trust and privacy concerns in social networking, and how trust and privacy concerns influence the sustainable usage intention of social network services. I also analyzed the factors affecting privacy concerns to present the method to alleviate social network users' concerns about privacy. Information collection control, information processing control and information management vulnerability were chosen and analyzed as the factors affecting privacy concerns. The results showed that information collection control and information management vulnerability significantly affected trust and privacy concerns; and information processing control did not significantly affect privacy concerns. The relationship between trust and privacy concerns, and sustainable usage intention was statistically significant; and the relationship between trust and expansion of communication channels was also statistically significant.

서비스 종업원의 매력성이 대인신뢰와 만족, 애호도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Attractiveness of Service Employee's on Interpersonal Trust, Satisfaction and Loyalty)

  • Purpose - Most past studies related to this focused on the physical attractiveness of service employees, but this study emphasizes the social attractiveness and not just the physical attractiveness of employees. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to first categorize attractiveness as physical attractiveness and social attractiveness and to examine the impact of physical attractiveness on social attractiveness for service industry employees. Secondly, this study aimed at verifying the impact of physical attractiveness and social attractiveness on interpersonal trust. Third, it aimed at revealing the impact of interpersonal trust on customer satisfaction, as well as satisfaction on loyalty. Research design, data, and methodology - Questionnaires were distributed to customers that used beauty salon services, among the various service industries, to verify the hypothesis of this study. Also, hypothesis was analyzed with the structural equation method using Amos 20.0. Results - When presenting the results on verifying the research hypothesis, it was found that physical attractiveness had a positive impact on social attractiveness. Second, while physical attractiveness did not have a positive impact on interpersonal trust, social attractiveness was found to have a positive impact on interpersonal trust. Such results show that in forming interpersonal trust, social attractiveness was more important than physical attractiveness for service industry employees. This result is in contrast with the results of past studies, but it is different in that previous studies suggested only physical attractiveness and did not present social attractiveness in the hypothesis. Third, it was found that interpersonal trust had a positive impact on satisfaction, while satisfaction did not have a positive impact on loyalty. Conclusions - The biggest implication of this study is that it presented social attractiveness, which was rarely dealt with in past studies. Also, this study is significant in that it examined the relationship of physical attractiveness and social attractiveness. The results of this study show that in the service industry, the role of human elements such as service employees is important and that in addition to physical attractiveness, social attractiveness in the course of interaction such as communication with customers can also be an important strategic element.

사회적 자본과 주관적 행복감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Subjective Happiness and Social Capital)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between subjective happiness and social capital. The data for the analysis were collected via the questionnaire survey method, from October 29 to November 10, 2013. The sample consisted of 338 residents, living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-Do province. Social capital is composed of the social network, social trust and social norms. The social network is composed of the satisfaction of one's social relations, and the degree of social interaction. Social trust is composed of the trust in ones's neighbors and the local community. Social norms are composed of reciprocity, participation and a sense of belonging and solidarity. The findings of this study were as follows: 1) The average for subjective happiness was 3.82 points, over neutral. In particular, the subjective happiness of people over 50 years old was highest. 2) The social network, social trust, and social norms were related to the subjective happiness.

  • 소셜 사물 인터넷(SIoT)에서 차량들이 다양한 정보를 생성하고 이를 다른 차량과 공유하고 피드백을 주고 받는 소셜 행위가 이루어진다. 차량 간에 신뢰성 있는 정보를 공유하기 위해서는 차량의 신뢰성을 판별하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 차량들 간에 신뢰성 있는 정보를 공유하기 위한 차량 신뢰도 계산 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 기법은 차량 간 소셜 행위에 기반한 사용자 평판과 네트워크 신뢰도를 고려하여 차량 신뢰도를 판별한다. 차량은 점수 부여, 무시, 재배포 등의 행위를 선택할 수 있으며 이에 따라 사용자 평판이 계산된다. 네트워크 신뢰도를 계산하기 위해 다른 차량과의 거리와 패킷 전송률을 이용한다. 사용자 평판과 네트워크 신뢰도를 이용하여 지역 신뢰도가 계산된다. 이때, 전달되는 데이터의 중복 배포를 방지한다. RSU(Road Side Unit)의 데이터를 활용하여 지역적인 데이터의 한계를 극복하고 전역적인 데이터를 활용하여 보다 더 정확한 차량 신뢰도 계산이 가능하다. 다양한 성능평가를 통해 제안하는 기법이 기존 기법에 비해서 성능이 우수함을 보인다.

한국의 소셜네트워크서비스 신뢰지수 KTI 설계 (Development of The Korean Trust Index for Social Network Services)

  • 소셜 네트워크를 통해 생산 유통되는 정보들은 신뢰할 수 없는 불분명한 정보들이 많고 그런 정보들이 무분별하게 확산되기 때문에 사용자들은 정보에 대한 신뢰성 여부를 판단하기가 힘들다. 특히 정보의 신뢰성에 대한 평가가 전적으로 사용자들의 판단에 맡겨지고 있는 상황에서, 온라인 정보의 신뢰도에 대한 체계적인 평가 방안의 마련이 절실하다. 본 논문에서는 소셜네트워크서비스의 신뢰도 평가 지표로서 KTI (Korean Trust Index for SNS)를 설계하여, 서비스 사용자들이 정보의 신뢰성을 판단할 수 있는 기준을 제시하였으며, 이를 통해 사회적 신뢰 수준을 분석할 수 있도록 하였다. SNS의 서비스 특성을 고려하여, 신뢰도에 영향을 주는 요인을 정의하였고 이를 바탕으로 온라인에서 유통되는 정보에 대한 신뢰도를 평가할 수 있는 신뢰모델을 설계하고 신뢰지수 KTI를 제시하였다. 신뢰지수 KTI의 개발은 SNS에 대한 신뢰 수준을 측정하여 이를 정량화함으로써, SNS 연결망을 효율적으로 활용하기 위한 신뢰 확보가 가능할 것으로 기대한다.

소셜 커머스 관계혜택이 신뢰와 몰입 및 고객 충성도에 미치는 영향: 자기결정성을 중심으로 (Effects of Relationship Benefits on Trust, Flow and Customer Loyalty of Social Commerce: Focus of Self - Determination)

  • 본 연구는 소셜 커머스를 통해 소비자들이 지각하는 혜택을 선행연구의 주장을 근거로 사회적, 확신적, 경제적, 고객화 혜택으로 분류하고자 한다. 또한 이러한 소셜 커머스의 관계혜택이 각각 신뢰와 몰입에 미치는 영향, 신뢰와 몰입이 고객 충성도에 미치는 영향에 대해서도 알아보고자 한다. 그리고 신뢰와 고객충성도의 관계, 몰입과 고객 충성도의 관계는 자기결정성에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지 알아보고자 한다. 연구의 주요결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 소셜 커머스를 통해 소비자들이 지각하는 혜택 중 사회적, 확신적, 경제적, 고객화 혜택은 신뢰에 유의하게 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 소셜 커머스를 통해 소비자들이 지각하는 혜택 중 사회적, 확신적, 경제적, 고객화 혜택은 몰입에 유의하게 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 신뢰는 고객 충성도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 몰입은 고객 충성도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 신뢰 및 몰입이 고객충성도에 미치는 영향은 자기결정성에 의해 차이가 나는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로, 본 연구를 통하여 자기결정성에 따라 차별적 접근의 필요성에 대해 시사점으로 제안하였다. 이와 함께 연구결론에는 향후 연구 방향에 대해서도 기술하였다.

소셜커머스 신뢰 형성이 지속적 이용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Social Commerce's Trust-Building on Intention of Continuous Use)

  • Social commerce (s-commerce) is a subset of e-commerce and uses social media for social interactions. Although s-commerce has been rapidly growing, disputes between some s-commerce firms and their consumers often occur over issues such as poor customer services, incorrect product information, and late refunds. In order for s-commerce to continuously grow, s-commerce firms need to build consumer-trust in their transaction process to minimize their consumers' uncertainty. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships between the multidimensional trust (ability, integrity, benevolence) and the intention of continuous use of s-commerce. Moreover, this study presents antecedent factors needed for trust-building by applying the characteristics of s-commerce, and verifies the relations between the variables. We test and validate the research model and related hypotheses using structural equation modeling based on a survey done on 428 people who have previous experience with s-commerce. The result shows that trust has positive effect on the intention of continuous use, and verifies the necessity of the antecedent factors (social presence, assurance, informativeness, economic feasibility, and seller reputation) for trust-building. This study provides strategy for the continuous growth of s-commerce, and suggests theoretical implication that explains the relationship between the characteristics of s-commerce and consumers.

대학생의 사회적 책임 인식과 기업의 사회적 책임 신뢰가 지속가능 식생활에 미치는 영향 (Effect of University Student's Awareness of Social Responsibility and Trust in Corporate Social Responsibility on a Sustainable Diet)

  • This study examined the influence of social responsibility awareness (economic and social-environmental responsibility) and trust in corporate social responsibility on sustainable diets. The subjects of the study were 468 university students. The main research results were as follows. First, the social responsibility awareness of the study subjects was 4.03±0.72 points for economic responsibility and 3.48±0.81 points for social-environmental responsibility. An awareness of economic responsibility showed differences according to gender. Trust in corporate social responsibility was 3.62±0.61 points, and there was no statistical significance based on gender. Second, the level of a sustainable diet was food safety and consideration (4.06±0.63), knowledge of the environment and diet (3.94±0.68), understanding of the food circulation system (3.45±0.77), and healthy diet (3.26±0.89). Among the factors influencing a sustainable diet, female students had higher attitudes toward food safety and consideration and understanding of the food circulation system than male students. Third, the social responsibility awareness (economic responsibility and social-environmental responsibility) and corporate social responsibility trust variables influenced university students' sustainable diet. Among these, social-environmental responsibility awareness had the highest influence.
