  • Recently, as users' interest for travel increases, research on a travel route recommendation service that replaces the cumbersome task of planning a travel itinerary with automatic scheduling has been actively conducted. The most important and common goal of the itinerary recommendations is to provide the shortest route including popular tour spots near the travel destination. A number of existing studies focused on providing personalized travel schedules, where there was a problem that a survey was required when there were no travel route histories or SNS reviews of users. In addition, implementation issues that need to be considered when calculating the shortest path were not clearly pointed out. Regarding this, this paper presents a quantified method to find out popular tourist destinations using social big data, and discusses problems that may occur when applying the shortest path algorithm and a heuristic algorithm to solve it. To verify the proposed method, 63,000 places information was collected from the Gyeongnam province and big data analysis was performed for the places, and it was confirmed through experiments that the proposed heuristic scheduling algorithm can provide a timely response over the real data.

  • Recently, there has been an increase in wellbeing marketing, which focuses on increasing consumer life satisfaction or consumers' sense of subjective wellbeing. Numerous studies have been conducted to identify which aspects contribute to consumer life satisfaction. In order to provide additional insights into consumer life satisfaction, this study aimed to identify the relationships among social psychological variables (consciousness of social face, social interaction anxiety, and career anxiety), shopping confidence, and life satisfaction. Shopping confidence in this study relates to confidence for clothing/accessories. It was hypothesized that social psychological variables influence life satisfaction not only directly but also indirectly through shopping confidence. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul, using convenience sampling. Two hundred eighty six questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. Factor analysis of consciousness of social face revealed two factors, 'desire to gain face' and 'fear of losing face'. Factor analysis of social interaction anxiety, shopping confidence, and life satisfaction revealed that these variables were uni-dimensional. Test of the hypothesized path showed that all social psychological variables influenced life satisfaction indirectly through shopping confidence, whereas 'fear of losing face' of consciousness of social face and career anxiety influenced life satisfaction directly. The results give marketers some understanding of their consumers' life satisfaction in relation to consciousness of social face, social interaction anxiety, career anxiety, and shopping confidence.

  • In spite of the importance of nuclear power as one of major electric energies in Korea, the nuclear safety has become the most serious social issue in the operation of the nuclear power plant. In this paper, a virtual work simulation program was developed to predict exposure dose during radiation work in radwaste storage. The work simulation program was developed. using $Java ^{TM}$applet and VRML-virtual reality modeling language. A numerical algorithm to find the optimal work path which minimize exposure dose during the given work, was developed and exposure dose on the optimal work path was compared with that on the shortest path. Comparing with the shortest path for the given work, the predicted optimal path consumed longer work time by II% but reduced total exposure dose by 46%. The simulation result showed that the exposure dose depended on not only work time, but also the distance between the worker and the radiation source. The developed simulation program could be a useful tool for the planning of radioactive waste work to increase the radiation safety of workers.

  • This study was intended to identify path structures through pathway analysis with an emphasis on the cognitive elements that influence the acculturative stress of marriage-based immigrant women. The results of the study were designed to establish a foundation for practical measures and policies to support marriage-based immigrant women to adjust their lives in the culture. This study has established research model on the path structure according to the psychological stress theory as to how social support, coping strategy, and acculturative attitude recognized as a cognitive element of marriage-based immigrant women on the acculturative stress and implement practical verification. In addition, control variables for the use of ages, education level, period of marriage, and income level of socio-demographic variables were analyzed. To obtain data for the study, convenience sampling and snowball sampling of marriage-based immigrant women that resided in the area of C and J were conducted simultaneously through surveys and applied to the analysis of 204 cases. Analysis of the path structure of influence of social support, coping strategies, and acculturative attitudes that were perceived as a cognitive element of marriage-based immigrant women influencing acculturative stress revealed that these factors were specifically weighted towards acculturative. Moreover, comprehensive acculturative attitude was identified as a crucial variable reducing the effects of acculturative stress during the acculturative procedures of marriage-based immigrant women. This assumes that establishing and performing policies supporting co-existence of homeland cultures of marriage-based immigrant women and Korean cultures might be an efficient action for dealing with acculturative stress rather than forcing them to adjust to Korean culture.

  • This study aims to find out the determinants of burnout in order to better understand the burnout process among social workers. For this purpose, a hypothetical model which explains the relationships among 8 job-related stressors (role ambiguity, role overload, difficulties in solving problems of clients, conflict with the clients, lack of support from the supervisor, closed communication pattern, bureaucracy, and lack of accountability), 4 mediators (job-stress, professional role performance, abiding by the agency policy and partiality in service delivery), and 4 dimensions of burnout (physical exhaustion, psychological exhaustion, depersonalization and personal accomplishment) was developed. Using the data collected from 207 social workers, the hypothetical model was tested. For data analysis, a path analysis was used, and the best-fitting model was found(df=66, $x^2$=63.250, GFI=0.962, CFI=1.00). As a result of this study, the following results were found. Burnout among social workers was increased by the 6 job-related stressors(role ambiguity, role overload, difficulties in solving problems of clients, conflict with the clients, lack of support from the supervisor, closed communication pattern). Job-stress, the mediating variable of the emotional path to burnout, increased professional role performance and the abiding by agency policy, and finally increased burnout. On the other hand, professional self-efficacy (which consists of professional role performance, abiding by agency policy and partiality in service delivery), the mediationg variable of the cognitive path to burnout, reduced burnout when the professional role performance was high, and abiding by agency policy and partiality in service delivery were low.

  • The subject of this research is to analyze the design characteristics of outdoor spaces in Good Design awarded apartment complexes in the past decade. The results are as follows. First, the overall outdoor space design theme, one of the conceptual elements, is focused on both 'nature' and 'story of various subject' that are similar to each other. Second, the case study object with the visual openness, which is secured between apartment blocks, is shown frequently in case box-shaped apartment blocks are arranged in a row. However, in case of Y-shaped block arrangement, the visual openness secured within an apartment complex is considered more important. Third, according to the result of circulation/ inner path element, the most frequently appeared inner path form is a grid pattern with straight path emphasis. While apartment complexes with the parking lot on the ground are only 3 out of 18 cases, it with circulation path for vehicle on the ground level are over 61%. Fourthly, the design characteristic of social space of physical outdoor design appears to be 'central link facility type'. In this case, the central community facilities are more likely to be combined with various functions, such as green, water, and social connection. Fifthly, in case of natural space, most of the apartment cases are shown over 45% green area ratio with wide green and water space provision. Especially, the differentiation is to provide the space where can stimulate a resident's participation.

  • SNS is a platformwhere users build a social relationship and share opinions and informations. To do these, it supports a text, an image and a video data. As it is possible to exploit the location data of a smart device, SNS tries to use the location data. However, since SNS does not support the coordinate data, it provides the restricted function sharing the image map instead of the vector map. In this paper, we propose a chatting systemsharing pathsto support the coordinate data on a classical SNS. On the proposed system, it is possible for usersjoined in a roomto watch a vector map of same area and exchange texts. If a user builds a path on the map, the system propagates the coordinate data of the generated path and the other users joined in the room watch the path immediately. The implemented chatting systemhasthe benefit to share the information related a map between users using coordinate data.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the pathways of factors that influence adolescent's suicidal ideation of suicide attempters and non-attempters and to compare path coefficients between the two groups. Results from simultaneous analysis of multiple populations suggest that the path model was appropriate for both groups. However, significant differences in path coefficients were found. Parental abuse and peer victimization had direct effects on adolescent's suicidal ideation only among the adolescent suicide non-attempters. Burdensomeness and hopelessness had direct effects on adolescent's suicidal ideation, whereas thwarted belongingness did not have direct effects for both groups. Peer victimization appear to have an indirect effect through burdensomeness for both groups of adolescents. Only among the adolescent suicide non-attempters, parental abuse had an indirect effect on suicidal ideation through burdensomeness, and burdensomeness and thwarted belongingness had indirect effects on suicidal ideation through hopelessness. The results indicate that differentiated approaches are required to prevent suicidal ideation for adolescent suicide attempters and non-attempters.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the fitness of a Path model to represent relations between stress, social support, depression, and suicidal ideation in middle-aged males. The participants were 236 middle-aged males, and data were collected from April 11 to June 1, 2018. The analysis was performed using descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlations in PASW Ver. 21.0, and AMOS Ver. 18.0 (a statistical structural equation modeling program), fitness characteristics of the final model were RMSEA 0.05, GFI 0.98, AGFI 0.95, and NFI 0.98. The major study results were as follows. First, stress had a direct effect on depression and drinking, and social support had a direct effect on depression. Second, stress and social support both directly affected suicidal ideation. Results also suggested depression had partial mediating effects on relations between stress, social support, and suicidal ideation. We suggest a program be devised to reduce suicidal ideation by middle-aged males. It is hoped our results will provide basic data for future studies.
