치료 중인 암환아와 치료 종료 암환아의 사회심리적 적응에 관한 비교 연구 (A Study on the Comparison of Psychosocial Adjustment of Children with Cancer between on and off Treatment)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare psychosocial adjustment in children aged 4-11 years with cancer between on and off treatment. Method: The data was collected from parents of children with cancer through interviews with structured questionnaire at the pediatric outpatient department and inpatient ward of one university hospital located in Seoul. The instrument were the Child Behavior Check List(CBCL) developed by Achenbach(1991) and revised to standardize for Korean children by Oh et al(1997). Result: Total behavior problem score for children on treatment was greater than the score off treatment but there was no significant difference. Children on treatment reported higher levels of depression/anxiety, withdrawal, internalizing scores than children off treatment. Social competence score of children off treatment was greater than the score on treatment and the difference of school performance score of children between on and off treatment was not significant. The scores on the withdrawal, somatic complaints, social immaturity, internalizing scales in the cancer group including both on and off treatment was greater than normative findings in the general population. The scores on the school competence of children off treatment were lower than the norms for healthy children. Conclusion: Findings from this study support the importance of nursing interventions to facilitate the adjustment of children with cancer both on and off therapy.

Denver Developmental Screening Test에 의한 전남지역 아동의 발육상태에 대한 연구 (The Developmental Status of the Children in Chonnam Area base on the Denver Developmental Screening Test)

  • The Denver Developmental Screening Test was devised to provide a simple method of evaluating the developmental status of infants and preschool children. To assess the development of Korean children, 667 children (390 boys and 277 girls) between the ages of 2 weeks and 6 years who live in Kwangju city and rural areas in Chonnam were examined according to the DDST. The ages at which 25%, 50%, 75%, and 90% of the children performed each item were calculated for the entire sample. The results of these were compared with the norms of Denver children and other related previous studies in Korea. The development of the boys was also compared with that of the girls, and further the test results of city children and country children were also compared. Girls performed the DDST items in personal-social, fine motor-adaptive and gross motor sectors slightly earlier than boys. In general, however, there were no significant differences in the developmental rate between boys and girls. In all four sectors of the DDST, urban children performed the items significantly earlier than rural children. In comparing Korean children and Denver children, Korean children tended to perform gross motor and personal-social items at a slightly earlier age than Denver children. In the language sector, Denver children tended to perform a little earlier than Korean children. But on the whole there were no significant differences in developmental status between Korean and Denver children. It should be noted that a few items, such as“Uses plurals”, needed to be changed due to the structure of Korean language.

딥인코더-디코더 기반의 인공지능 포토 스토리텔러 (AI photo storyteller based on deep encoder-decoder architecture)

  • Research using artificial intelligence to generate captions for an image has been studied extensively. However, these systems are unable to create creative stories that include more than one sentence based on image content. A story is a better way that humans use to foster social cooperation and develop social norms. This paper proposes a framework that can generate a relatively short story to describe based on the context of an image. The main contributions of this paper are (1) An unsupervised framework which uses recurrent neural network structure and encoder-decoder model to construct a short story for an image. (2) A huge English novel dataset, including horror and romantic themes that are manually collected and validated. By investigating the short stories, the proposed model proves that it can generate more creative contents compared to existing intelligent systems which can produce only one concise sentence. Therefore, the framework demonstrated in this work will trigger the research of a more robust AI story writer and encourages the application of the proposed model in helping story writer find a new idea.

  • 본 연구는 소셜 미디어 플랫폼 회원들의 중국 위챗 정보 공유 의도을 평가하기 위한 모델을 제안한다. 이 데이터는 중국 위챗 사용자들로부터 나왔으며, 150명의 위챗 사용자들이 이 조사에 참여했다. 이 연구의 결과는 정보 공유 의도가 태도, 주관적 규범, 인지된 행동 제어에 의해 직접적으로 영향을 받는 반면, 평판과 호혜적관계는 태도와 긍정적인 관련이 있으며, 인상은 정보 공유에 대한 인지된 행동 제어에 긍정적인 관련이 있다는 것을 보여준다.

The Advantages of Acceptance of Neo-Confucianism during the Joseon Dynasty: South Korea History

  • Neo-Confucianism fettered the society and the individuals regulating such aspects as roles and relationships within a family, rites, and ceremonies. The mandated practice of filiality challenged the Confucian paradigm of gender relations, exposing women to men and the notion of following elders' instructions, which preserved authoritarian power relations within an ancestral line. This ideological base was beneficial for preserving social stability and integrity and aimed to create a set of ideals and norms that would apply to everyone, thus keeping people together. This conceptual investigation aims to identify the benefits of accepting Neo-Confucianism during the Joseon Dynasty and how it emerged as the foundation for the nation's and society's governance. Neo-Confucianism was not an immobile value system but an active factor contributing to the success, development, and positive changes in Joseon Korea; it is the aim of this study to provide a comprehensive account and exegesis of the role and impact of Neo-Confucianism in the Korean historical process. The study will examine the lessons that can be drawn from these historical facts of South Korean history in the modern state, particularly in the areas of governance, education, and social integration.

계획된 행동이론을 적용한 예비보육교사의 취업준비행동 연구 (Application of the Theory of Planned Pre-service Childcare Teacher's Job Preparation Behavior)

  • 본 연구는 인간의 여러 가지 행동을 예측하는데 유용성이 입증된 계획된 행동이론의 모형에 따라 예비보육교사의 취업준비행동에 대한 영향요인을 규명하여, 교육적 차원 및 사회복지적 차원에서 예비보육교사의 취업지도 방안을 제시하고자 함이 목적이다. 본 연구모형에는 취업준비행동에 대한 태도, 주관적 규범, 지각된 행동통제, 행동의도, 취업준비행동 등 계획된 행동이론에서 제안한 제 요인들을 포함하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석한 결과, 취업준비행동에 대한 주관적 규범, 지각된 행동통제, 태도의 순으로 취업준비행동의도를 매개하여 취업준비행동에 대한 정적 영향을 미치고, 지각된 행동통제는 취업준비행동에 직 간접적인 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 주관적 규범, 지각된 행동통제, 태도의 수준을 높임으로써 예비보육교사의 취업준비행동을 증진 시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시할 수 있는 이론적 근거를 확보하였다.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 논문초록의 일인칭 대명사 사용 실태에 대한 수량적 고찰이다. 총 9개국 (중국, 독일, 인도, 일본, 한국, 프랑스, 스페인, 영국, 미국)의 네 가지 분야 (화학, 컴퓨터 과학, 사회 과학, 의학)에서 약 144,400개의 논문을 출력하여 수량적 사용빈도수를 분석하고 검토하였다. 이러한 연구를 통해 세계적으로 학계의 저자들이 보여주는 일인칭 대명사의 수량적 활용도를 보고하였다. 더 나아가 이러한 결과는 논문초록에서 일인칭 대명사 사용을 기피하는 저자들의 입장과는 달리 일반적으로 흔하게 사용되는 실태를 보여주고 있다. 이 연구의 의미는 일인칭 대명사에 대한 사용을 수량적 사용도로 측정하여 고찰하였다는 점이다. 또한 이를 근거로 학자들이 초록을 작성할 때 일인칭 대명사 사용에 대한 의견을 개진하기 앞서 사용 실태를 우선적으로 인정해야 할 필요성을 제시해준다는 것이다.

중학교 교사의 흡연예방교육 실천의도와 영향요인: 계획된 행위이론의 활용 (Korean Middle School Teachers' Intentions to Participate in Adolescents' Smoking Prevention Programs)

  • Objectives: To prevent smoking among adolescents, we should facilitate school-based smoking prevention programs and provide supports for teachers to participate actively in these programs. This study investigated Korean middle teachers' intentions, perceptions, and attitudes toward participating in smoking prevention programs. Methods: The study design was cross-sectional. Our conceptual framework utilized the Theory of Planned Behavior by Fishbein and Ajzen. We conducted open-ended elicitation interviews with teachers. We developed the survey questionnaire contents with data from these interviews, and distributed the questionnaires in 2002 to 194 school teachers from four schools in Seoul and Kyounggi-Do. Teachers' beliefs(behavioral, normative & control) and intentions about participating in smoking prevention programs were measured by 7-point scales. Results: The majority of teachers surveyed reported participating in adolescents' smoking prevention programs, while only less than 10% teachers reported having educational training for such programs. Teachers' attitudes toward participating in smoking prevention programs were positive, but they did not feel strong subjective norms about participating in the programs. They reported several barriers as well as facilitating conditions in participating in those programs. In correlation analysis, teachers' subjective norms and attitudes toward participating in smoking prevention were significantly correlated with their intentions to participating in those programs. Teachers with positive perceptions about smoking prevention programs were more likely to have strong intentions to participation in them, while teachers who received educational training and instructions on how to teach in smoking prevention programs were more likely to have positive perceptions than those who did not. Conclusion: We concluded that smoking prevention programs for adolescents can be made more effective by increasing societal expectations that teachers participate in these programs, and by providing additional resources dedicated to facilitating teachers' active participation in them.

음주 수준에 따른 여자 대학생의 임신 중 음주 인식 비교: 계획된 행위 이론을 적용하여 (Comparison of Awareness about Alcohol Use during Pregnancy among Female College Students by Drinking Levels: Using the Theory of Planned Behavior)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness of alcohol use during pregnancy and factors influencing the intention to abstain from alcohol during pregnancy by drinking levels. Methods: Utilizing a comparative descriptive design, a total of 359 female college students were recruited. Measurements were Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) variables related awareness of alcohol use during pregnancy, Korean Version of the Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test, knowledge about alcohol use during pregnancy, and socio-demographic factors. Main variables were compared by drinking levels. The factors influencing the intention to abstain from alcohol during pregnancy were identified using hierarchical regression analysis. Results: Non-problematic alcohol behavior group (n=185) had higher the intention to abstain from alcohol during pregnancy than problematic alcohol behavior group (n=174) (t=3.13, p=.002). The significant TPB variables influencing the intention to abstain from alcohol during pregnancy were that attitudes (β =-.44, p<.001), subjective norms (β =.14, p=.026), and perceived behavior control (β =.19, p=.002) in non-problematic alcohol behavior group, whereas the corresponding variables in the problematic alcohol behavior group were attitudes (β =-.51, p<.001) and subjective norms (β =.21, p=.006). Conclusion: It is necessary to increase the intention to abstain from alcohol during pregnancy for the female college students having problematic alcohol behavior. The following strategies are recommended for them; decreasing acceptable attitudes toward alcohol use during pregnancy and reinforcing the influence of social pressure toward to abstain from alcohol during pregnancy.

학교 환경교육 활성화를 위한 현장체험 학습프로그램 개발에 대한 기초 연구 (A Basic Study on the Field-Experience Learning Programs Development for the Activation of School Environmental Education)

  • Firstly, the goals and the domains of contents of environmental education was classified in order to systematize the contents of environmental education which would be taught in each subject. According to these goals and domains of contents, the contents of 10 subjects (Korean Language, Ethics, Social Studies, Mathematics, Science, Music, Arts, Physical Practicum(Technology and Heme Economics), English were analyzed. The norms in the analysis of the goals of environmental education by each subject were 4 domains: information and knowledge, skills, value & attitudes, & action and participation. The norms in the analysis of the contents of environmental education by each subject were 11 domains: natural environment, artificial environment, population, industrialization/urbanization, resources, environmental pollution, environmental preservation and measures, environmental sanitation, environmental ethics, environmentally sound and sustainable development(ESSD), and sound consumption life. As a result, it was found that all the 4 domains of goals in environmental education could come true. Furthermore, the goals of environmental education were found to be reached in the subjects of Korean Language, Music, Arts, Physical Education, Mathematics, English, etc., which had been thought to have nothing to do with environmental education. It was also found that the contents of each subject could deal with its own unique environmental contents. The result of this study can keep all subject from overlapping in environmental contents, and can make the most of each subject’s characteristics. Also, the result of this study will be referenced in developing the teaching and learning materials for environmental education according to each subject.
