A Blog provides commentary, news, or content on a particular subject. The important part of many blogs is interactive format. Sometimes, there is a heated debate on a topic and any article becomes a political or sociological issue. In this paper, we proposed a method to predict the popularity of an article in advance. First, we used hit count as a factor to predict the popularity of an article. We defined the saturation point and derived a model to predict the hit count of the saturation point by a correlation coefficient of the early hit count and hit count of the saturation point. Finally, we predicted the virtual temperature of an article using 4 types(explosive, hot, warm, cold). We can predict the virtual temperature of Internet discussion articles using the hit count of the saturation point with more than 70% accuracy, exploiting only the first 30 minutes' hit count. In the hot, warm, and cold categories, we can predict more than 86% accuracy from 30 minutes' hit count and more than 90% accuracy from 70 minutes' hit count.
Purpose - In today's markets, new technologies such as social network systems and user generated contents have provided consumers with access to unlimited amounts of information and an ability to communicate with other consumers in the world. Specially, the massive of the internet and the development of online communities and interactive platforms offer the potential to cocreate with a large number of consumers. Significant changes in marketplace suggest that simply being consumer oriented is not enough, so firms must learn from and collaborate with consumers to create values that meet their individual and dynamic needs. In these sense, emergent perspectives in marketing highlight new opportunities for co-opting consumers as a means to define and cocreate value through their engagement. Although the importance of consumer co-creation with firms, the current literature lacks the respond to two questions: (1) who are the most competent consumers for creating the values with firm? and (2) what are the stimulaters to help the consumers engage for co-creation? To this answer the question, this research investigate how to structure consumer motivations to encourage consumers to be more engaged for co-creation and what drives a consumer to get involved to respond to a call for co-creation. Research design, data, and methodology - To empirically test the hypotheses, a survey was conducted among consumers who had experienced the co-creation including upstream, downstream, autonomous, and sponsored co-creation with the firms. We collected a total of 343 responses. After we excluded 37 questionnaire because of incomplete responses, a total of 306 questionnaire remained. Working with a sample of 306 responses in Seoul and Kwangju, hierarchical moderated regression is employed to test research hypotheses. Results - The results indicated that consumer creativity and emergent nature are positively related to engagement in co-creation including upstream, downstream, autonomous, and sponsored co-creation. Also, the relationships between consumer creativity/emergent nature and engagement in co-creation were moderated by intrinsic motivation in case of upstream and downstream co-creation. Finally, interaction effects between consumer creativity/emergent nature and extrinsic motivation were not significant. Conclusions - These results suggest that marketing managers have to consider the consumer personality such as creativity and emergent nature and stimulate the intrinsic motivation of consumer to achieve the co-creation project successfully.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of SNS addiction tendency, depression, and communication skill among university students. Subjects were 200 associate nursing students in Korea. The data were collected using a self-reporting questionnaire from October 11 to November 24, 2016. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, LSD test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis using the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. The levels of SNS addiction tendency were dependent on age (t=2.47, p=.044), connection SNS time (F=10.20, p<.001), and place of SNS use (t=2.54, p=.012). SNS addiction tendency was significantly correlated with depression. Higher SNS addiction was associated with higher rates of depression. SNS addiction tendency was not significantly correlated with communication skill in nursing students. Influential factors that affect SNS addiction tendency were depression (${\beta}=.265$, p<.001) and SNS usage time (${\beta}=.265$, p<.001), which explains about 15.5% of the variance. The results of this study indicate that nursing interventions are necessary to improve SNS addiction tendency, and early screening of nursing students is needed to develop health promotion programs for the vulnerable.

In this paper a heuristic method for identifying individual pipes in water pipe networks to determine specific sections of the pipes that need to be replaced due to deterioration. An appropriate minimum pipe length is determined by selecting the pipe length that has the greatest variance of the average cumulative break number slopes among the various pipe lengths used. As a result, the minimum pipe length for the case study water network is determined as 4 m and a total of 39 individual pipe IDs are obtained. The economically optimal replacement times of the individual pipe IDs are estimated by using the threshold break rate of an individual pipe ID and the pipe break trends models for which the General Pipe Break Prediction Model(Park and Loganathan, 2002) that can incorporate the linear, exponential, and in-between of the linear and exponetial failure trends and the ROCOFs based on the modified time scale(Park et al., 2007) are used. The maximum log-likelihoods of the log-linear ROCOF and Weibull ROCOF estimated for the break data of a pipe are compared and the ROCOF that has a greater likelihood is selected for the pipe of interest. The effects of the social costs of a pipe break on the optimal replacement time are also discussed.

Various human resource information of the world can be found according to spread of social network such as facebook and twitter. There are an amounts of researcher information on the science and technology area but it is difficult to find a suitable researcher for research or business such as research partner, because researcher information is not systematically arranged. To solver this problem, we are constructing authority data system for science and technology based on authority information of overseas academic papers. In this paper, in order to construct the authority data, we extracts author identification elements from millions of overseas academic papers, which are published from 1994 to 2012. There are more than 50 author identification elements such as author name, affiliation, paper title, publisher, year, keywords, co-author, co-author's affiliation in Korean, English, Chinese, and Japanese. We construct the element database by extracting and storing an author identification information based on the elements from overseas academic papers. Future works includes that the authority database for overseas academic papers is constructed by storing an academic activities of researchers after author clustering with these extracted elements. The authority data is used to improve the researcher information utilization and activate community to find a suitable research partner or a business examiner.

Participating in exhibitions is one of the major activities for tourists. When selecting their next travel destination after participating in an event, they use map services and social network services, such as blogs, to obtain information about tourist attractions. The map services are location-based recommendations, because they can easily retrieve information regarding nearby places. Blogs contain informative content about tourist attractions, thereby providing content-based recommendations. However, few services consider both location and content. In location-based recommendations, tourist attractions that are not related to the content of the event attended might be recommended. Content-based recommendation has a disadvantage in that events located at a distance might get recommended. We propose an algorithm that considers both location and content, based on information from the Korea Tourism Organization's Linked Open Data (LOD), Wikipedia, and a Korean dictionary. By extracting nouns from the description of a tourist attraction and then comparing them with nouns about other attractions, a content-based relationship is determined. The distance to the event is calculated based on the latitude and longitude of each tourist attraction. A weight selected by the user is used for linear combination with the content-based relationship to determine the preference order of the recommendations.
The demand for large-scale storage systems has continued to grow due to the emergence of multimedia, social-network, and big-data services. In order to improve the response time and reduce the load of such large-scale storage systems, DRAM-based in-memory cache systems are becoming popular. However, the high cost of DRAM severely restricts their capacity. While the method of compressing cache entries has been proposed to deal with the capacity limitation issue, compression and decompression, which are technically difficult to parallelize, induce significant processing overhead and in turn retard the response time. A selective compression scheme is proposed in this paper for in-memory file system caches that rapidly estimates the compression ratio of incoming cache entries with their Shannon entropies and compresses cache entries with low compression ratio. In addition, a description is provided of the design and implementation of an in-kernel in-memory file system cache with the proposed selective compression scheme. The evaluation showed that the proposed scheme reduced the execution time of benchmarks by approximately 18% in comparison to the conventional non-compressing in-memory cache scheme. It also provided a cache hit ratio similar to the all-compressing counterpart and reduced 7.5% of the execution time by reducing the compression overhead. In addition, it was shown that the selective compression scheme can reduce the CPU time used for compression by 28% compared to the case of the all-compressing scheme.
Purpose - The Korean government has devised intermodal transportation policies and granted subsidies to shippers and logistics companies that made a conversion of transportation means through the policies. This provides support by expanding the complex uniform railroad transportation and overhauling the deteriorated railroad facilities. As for 2013, however, the freight transportation percentage of railroad was 4.5% in tons and 8.5% in ton kilometers. Meanwhile, since the 1990s, developed countries such as the U.S. and Europe have been trying to expand intermodal freight transport with a legal and institutional support to build a logistics system corresponding with social and economic environmental changes. In this study, I set out to examine the effects of the intermodal freight transport policies in the EU and the U.S., and to explore the direction of setting up a rail intermodal transport system in South Korea. Research design, data, and methodology - The paper used a qualitative research methodology through the literature review. First, was an overview of Intermodal transportation in the EU, U.S. and UN. Second, it describes the development of transport in Europe and the U.S. with particular emphasis on intermodal freight transport. Third, it explores the direction of setting up a intermodal freight transport in South Korea. The last section contains concluding remarks. Results - As for the EU, it has been promoting integration between transport and intermodal logistics network designs while utilizing ITS or ICT and supports for rail freight intermodal by giving reduction to a facilities fee or subsidizing for rail freight in order to minimize the cost of external due to freight transport. On the other hand, as for the U.S., it has been made up of an industrial-led operating project and has been promoting it to improve accessibility between intermodal hubs and cargo terminals through intermodal corridor program, and an intermodal cargo hub access corridor projects, etc. Moreover, it has tried to construct intermodal transport system using ITS or ICT and to remove Barrier. As a result, in these countries, the proportion of intermodal freight transport is going to be the second significant transport compared with rail and maritime transport. An Effective rail intermodal transport system is needed in South Korea, as seen in the case of these countries. In order to achieve this object, the following points are required to establish radical infrastructure policy; diversify investment financing measures taken under public-private partnerships, legal responsibilities, improvement of utilization of existing facilities to connect the railway terminal and truck terminal, and enhancement service competitiveness through providing cargo tracking and security information that combines the ITS and ICT. Conclusions - This study will be used as a basis for policy and support for intermodal freight transport in South Korea. In the future, it is also necessary to examine from the perspective of the shipper companies using the rail intermodal transport, ie, recognition of shipper, needed institutional supports, and transportation demand forecasting and cost-effective analysis of the railway infrastructure systems improvement.
SNS has been emerged as an effective educational tool in college and many studies on various teaching models and methodologies have been made in order to utilize SNS in education. The purpose of this paper is to empirically investigate the effect of affecting factors of SNS on learner's attitude, intention to re-use and performance in converging college educational environment. Self-efficacy on media usage, educational expectancy, subjective norm, habit, and enjoyment were identified as affecting factors based on prior researches. An empirical analysis was attempted by survey targeting college students. The results of structural equation model using Smart PLS shows that educational expectancy, subjective norm, and enjoyment are significantly related to the learner's attitude on use of SNS in college education, but Self-efficacy on media usage and habit are not. Learner's attitude on SNS in college education was found to be significantly related to the intention to continuous use and performance. This study implicates that using SNS in university class makes learner's attitude positively and finally lead to good performance. The analysis results can provide a guideline of effective strategy for SNS utilization in college education.
Cartoons and consequently animation are an effective way of visualizing futuristic scenarios. Here we look at how animation is becoming ubiquitous and an integral part of this future today: the cybernetic and mediated society that we are being transformed into. Animation therefore becomes a form of speech between humans and this networked reality, either as an interface or as representation that gives temporal form to objects. Animation or specifically animated films usually are associated with character based short and feature films, fiction or nonfiction. However animation is not constricted to traditional cinematic formats and language, the same way that design and communication have become treated as separate fields, however according to $Vil{\acute{e}}m$ Flusser they aren't. The same premise can be applied to animation in a networked culture: Animation has become an intrinsic to design processes and products - as in motion graphics, interface design and three-dimensional visualization. Video-games, virtual reality, map based apps and social networks constitute layers of an expanded universe that embodies our network based culture. They are products of design and media disciplines that are increasingly relying on animation as a universal language suited to multi-cultural interactions carried in digital ambients. In this sense animation becomes a discourse, the same way as Roland Barthes describes myth as a type of speech. With the objective of exploring the role of animation as a design tool, the proposed research intends to develop transmedia creative visual strategies using animation both as narrative and as an user interface.
