The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the "Authentic Parental Competence Scale" for mothers with school-age children. Based on a literature review, the study found that 'authentic parental competence' could be divided into parenting comperence, self-system competence, and social competence. In addition, the scale comprised three factors consisting of 43. The study collected data through behavior event interview(BEI), focus group interview(FGI), and three times Delphi investigation. The scale for mothers of school-age children consisted of a total of 129 items, which included three different dimensions (knowledge, skill, and attitude), and four factors were extracted from factor analysis following a survey of 362 mothers. The factors were labeled as "ability of developmental positive parenting," "ability of playing a role as a citizen and making social contributions," "ability of self-understanding and interpersonal relations," and "ability of self-growth and self-determination." In addition, the results revealed that the "Authentic Parental Competence Scale" showed an appropriate level of construct validity, reliability of the scales, distribution of item response, and item discrimination.

The Torajan people who started to receive increased attention from the 1990 are one of the many ethnic groups of Indonesia. This paper intends to examine Torajan Ceremonies practied today in the modern world, driven by the Torajan people's age-old perspective of life and death (and the world after) that comes from their background on traditional lifestyle and (animated) folk religion/belief. It focuses on the ceremonial Dances, which is one of the most important element in Torajan Ceremonies, and gain deeper insight through its costumes and ornaments which traditionally revealed the social status of hosts and performers. In ceremony, the most important division is the classification of ritual into Aluk rampe matallo(life facing ritual ) and Aluk rampe matampu? death ritual). So Traditional Toraja dances may be classified into two genres: life related ritual dances and death ritual dances. Especially the funeral ceremonies in Toraja has been rather more famous on its spectacle aspect to outsiders however its relationships to the broader theme of Torajan Ceremonies and ceremonial dances are very less known and sources on this topic are also very scarce. Fortunately, I was able to witness one of such an ritual event. I did see one kind of the funeral rituals which is the most dramatic and symbolically rich performances in Toraja. Here, a brief account of its will highlight some dimension of ceremony, personfood, and potency in Torajan thought and action.

Purpose With the development of Social Network Service(SNS) and mobile devices, many companies have been using the Facebook as a Word-of-Mouth(WOM) channel. This study examines the effects of psychological distance and message type on WOM using the Facebook's real messages. And the moderating effect of the message type on the relationship between psychological distance and WOM was also analyzed. Design/methodology/approach A content analysis was used as a research method. A total 7,483 messages were collected from 50 companies' Facebook Fanpage (based on the ranking of socialbakers.com) and content analysis was conducted using human coding. As the influencing variables, the message type and psychological distance and the number of 'Likes', 'Share', and 'Comment' were used as the dependent variable. The R3.4.4 was used to perform descriptive statistics, cross-tab analysis, and analysis of variance(ANOVA). Findings First, a larger proportion of Facebook messages have close psychological distance for all message types(information, advertisement, event, and customer relationship). Second, 'Like' and 'Comment' number were significantly higher in messages of close psychological distance. Third, the effects of psychological distance on 'Like', 'Share', and 'Comment' number were different according to message type. However, 'advertisement' message type had significantly more numbers for all WOMs('Like', 'Share', and 'Comment') in messages with close psychological distance.

Taean county region has been economically lagged behind compared with other areas in Chungnam Province mainly due to disadvantages of the location such as traffic accessibility, social infrastructure and industrial complex. However, recently Taean region has been emerged as newly prospective area because west coastal highway will be constructed to connect Seoul urban area to famous beach sites, recreational facilities along the seaside of Taean county, where International Flower Exhibition will also be held in Anmyon Island for the year of 2002. This Paper aims to explore how International Flower Exhibition is contributing to the development of local economy of Taean County area and to suggest the strategies for the development of this area through promoting spread effects of these international events. It is estimated that although there will be loss of 32,987 thousands won during the period of international flower festival based on the cash flow analysis, long run profits would be 108 trillion won, when calculating indirect benefits derived from the sight seeing, flower sales and other incomes from various activities. In order to maximize post benefits of international flower event, it is suggested that Taean county should pursue the strategies for specializing in cultural events such as family recreational events, beach festival and traditional cultural events, improving the social infrastructure and promoting the local industry such as flower, tourism and advanced technological enterprises.

Many software reliability growth models (SRGM's) based on a nonhomogeneous Poisson process (NHPP) have been proposed by many researchers. Most of the SRGM's which have been proposed up to the present treat the event of software fault-detection in the testing and operational phases as a counting process. However, if the size of the software system is large, the number of software faults detected during the testing phase becomes large, and the change of the number of faults which are detected and removed through debugging activities becomes sufficiently small compared with the initial fault content at the beginning of the testing phase. Therefore, in such a situation, we can model the software fault-detection process as a stochastic process with a continuous state space. In this paper, we propose a new software reliability growth model describing the fault-detection process by applying a mathematical technique of stochastic differential equations of an Ito type. We also compare our model with the existing SRGM's in terms of goodness-of-fit for actual data sets.

This article summarizes the structure of China's current social health insurance system and reviews the development status of China's private health insurance (PHI). China's medical security system is mainly composed of two parts: basic medical insurance (BMI) and PHI. Among them, the BMI provides reimbursement of basic medical expenses for the insured persons according to different proportions. PHI is a necessary supplement to the BMI and provides assistance to the insured persons in the event of illness or accident. By having PHI, people can obtain medical protection outside the coverage of BMI. In the development of PHI in China, the total medical cost is high and the insurance market size is large, but the proportion of PHI expenditure is low and the personal burden is high. Through this Chinese case, it will be helpful for mutual development between Korean PHI and national health insurance, for Korean insurance companies to enter the Chinese market, and for removing the medical burden on the people.

In this study, through a survey on traffic safety campaigns for electric wheelchairs for the disabled, we found out what is necessary to solve the inconvenience of disabled people driving electric wheelchairs and living in society. The conclusions for each role of the severely disabled are as follows. The government has enacted a law on fostering convenience facilities for the disabled in accordance with reality so that the disabled, who are vulnerable to transportation, do not have any inconvenience in their social lives. However, it is not kept in reality, so there are many obstacles to the social activities of the disabled. In addition, local governments should subscribe to electric wheelchair insurance for the disabled to minimize the damage to the disabled in the event of an electric wheelchair accident. Organizations related to the disabled provide safety wheelchair driving education to prevent electric wheelchair accidents in advance and receive complaints about inconvenience. It can be concluded that people with severe disabilities can prevent accidents in advance by installing a moving ring tone on an electric wheelchair so that they can know the movement of the surrounding wheelchair.

Purpose: With the rapid information distribution of sport-related SNS, sport industry has utilized SNS as technical solution to distribute sport and health-related information. The current study examined the effect of SNS information use for running-specific content on running engagement and psychological well-being. Research design, data and methodology: Data were collected via online survey of participants in marathon events of United States. Descriptive statistics and Chi-square test were conducted to compare demographics and psycho-behavioral outcomes among SNS information users and non-users for running-specific contents. Multivariate hierarchical regression was next employed to examine research hypotheses. Results: A mass-participant running event was used to test seven hypotheses related to the potential role of SNS for running content in promoting running engagement and life satisfaction. In general, findings revealed that use of SNS for running content along with frequency of use can perhaps facilitate running intensity and influence participation in running-related outdoor activities. Furthermore, while overall life satisfaction did not appear to be influenced by use of SNS for running content, there was a demonstrated influence on the individual satisfaction domains. Conclusions: The findings of current study suggest that sport SNS is information distribution media enhancing users' engagement and their six life satisfaction domains. Further implications were discussed.

In order to examine the causes of the social policy changes in Korea during the late of 1990s, this study tries to compare the social policy decision-making structure between Kim Yong-Sam Government and Kim Dae-Jung Government. This study applies policy network analysis method which measures the relation and power structures of policy actors and as a result shows the characteristics of the policy making structure. Analysing the 6 policy domains and 52 policy events, this study finds that the importance and location of veto points which were created by the social policy decision processes have changed. In Korea, social policy decision processes have been produced power structures in which Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning Board have played a decisive role. In result, these executives can have controlled policy making processes and had veto power, i. e. veto points in policy decision-making structure. But, during Kim Dae-Jung government, accountability issues of financial crisis and reorganization of ministries have changed the importance and location of veto points. Pro-welfare groups of civil society got a chance to penetrate policy decision-making structure during that time. This study argues that these changes of policy decision-making structure may be associated with the social policy changes in Korea during the late of 1990s.

In recent 10 years the attention to social entrepreneurship has raised increasing among scholars, public sector, and community development. However less research has been conducted on how social entrepreneurship intention create a social enterprise and what factors can be affected to the social entrepreneurial intentions. This paper aims at contributing to identify the antecedents of entrepreneurial behavior and intentions. Especially, we have had a strong interests in compassion factors which haven't been used as important variables to encourage for people to do social entrepreneurial activities. Also, we try to find the moral obligation and perceived social support as antecedents of social entrepreneurial intentions. Finding show that compassion and moral obligation affect to the social entrepreneurial intention. Especially this study identify the external factor of society with the variable, perceived social support. Once individuals recognize that the infrastructure and societal positive mood on social entrepreneurship is friendly to social entrepreneurship, people have a tendency to try to do some social entrepreneurial activities. Only few empirical studies exist in this research domain. A study of more than 271 Korean college students has studied which personal traits predict certain characteristics of social entrepreneurs (such as having social vision or looking for social innovational opportunities). In addition to those antecedents, students experience is the critical factor that enabled continued expansion of the social entrepreneurial activities. The results of this research show how we can nurture social entrepreneurs and how we can develop the social environment to promote social entrepreneurship.
