스마트폰 환경에서의 신뢰 구축 형성 -부산지역 대학생을 중심으로- (Building Trust in Smartphone Environment -Focused on the Undergraduate Students in Busan-)

  • 최근 스마트폰 사용자수가 빠르게 증가하고 있으며 많은 기업들은 다양한 모바일 애플리케이션을 만들어내고 있다. 하지만, 만들어진 애플리케이션이 모두 사용자의 스마트폰에 오래 남아 사용되는 것이 아니라 신뢰하지 못하는 애플리케이션은 쉽게 삭제할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 스마트폰 애플리케이션이 오래도록 사용되기 위해 필요한 스마트폰 사용 환경에서 신뢰 구축 모델을 개발하고 사용편의성, 유용성, 즐거움이 사용자만족도와 신뢰에 미치는 영향력을 검증한다. 이 연구를 위해 스마트폰 사용자 221명을 대상으로 한 설문을 사용하였으며, 분석에는 PLS 2.0이 사용되었다. 분석결과 사용편의성은 유용성과 즐거움에 유의한 영향을 미치며, 유용성과 즐거움은 사용만족도에, 사용만족도는 신뢰에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 스마트폰 애플리케이션 신뢰형성에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악해내고, 애플리케이션 개발 및 유통의 가이드라인을 제시할 수 있다.

화상 이미지내의 피사체 크기 계측을 위한 스마트 폰 어플 설계 (Design of a Smart Phone App for Measuring Object Size in a Picture Image)

  • 하드웨어와 부품 소재 산업의 급속한 발전으로 휴대 단말의 진화가 거듭되고 있으며, 모바일 폰을 이용한 다양한 응용 기술들이 최근 스마트 응용의 주류를 이루고 있다. 특히 스마트 기기의 카메라 모듈을 이용한 흥미로운 어플들이 지속적으로 개발되고 있어 다양한 모바일 응용의 사용이 가능하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 스마트 기기의 카메라 모듈로 촬영한 화상 이미지내의 특정 피사체의 실물 크기를 비교적 정확하게 계측하기 위한 스마트 폰 어플을 설계하고 구현하였다. 이때 피사체의 정확한 계측을 위해 촬영 상황에 따라 4가지 계측 모드로 구현하였고, 스마트폰 기종이나 시스템 SW에 따라 촬영 결과 화상 이미지의 차이를 최소화할 수 있도록 0점 조절 모듈을 두어 조정하였다. 본 논문에서 구현한 어플의 계측 정확도는 모의실험을 통해 비교 분석하였다.

Factors Influencing Use of Smartphone Applications for Healthcare Self-Management: An Extended Technology Acceptance Model

  • Objectives: The self-management of chronic diseases is currently receiving much attention. This study applied an extended technology acceptance model (ETAM) to analyze the factors influencing acceptance of a healthcare smartphone application. Methods: Three hundred people living in Seoul and Gyeonggi who used smartphones were quota sampled. A telephone survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire based on ETAM. A path analysis was carried out using the AMOS 17.0 program, and the model was verified. Results: The analysis revealed significant factors of perceived usefulness (.374, p < .001), enjoyment (.210, p < .001), subjective norms (.168, p < .001), perceived costs (.146, p < .001), and innovativeness (.138, p < .001). Cost directly influenced intention to use health applications; self-efficacy and perceived ease of use indirectly affected intention through innovation and perceived usefulness. Conclusions: This study helped to identify the main factors that influence usage intention of smartphone applications. These findings could contribute to promoting the self-management of chronic disease through future health applications using smartphones.

해외여행자를 위한 정보 관리 및 네트워크 프리 그린 네비게이션 응용 구현 (An Implementation of an Application for Managing Foreign Travel Information and Network-Free Green Navigation)

  • 최근 해외여행에 대한 관심과, 스마트폰의 사용이 증가함에 따라 여행객들의 여행 관련 응용 사용이 늘고 있다. 여행객들에게 필요한 응용은 날씨, 지도, 여행 정보 제공 응용 등이 있다. 하지만 해외에서의 네트워크는 비싸고 불안정하기 때문에, 해외여행객들에게 금전적인 부담을 주고 사용상의 불편함을 준다. 예를 들어, 지도 응용은 네트워크 연결이 필수적이며 이미지 다운로드 양이 많아서 배터리 소모가 많다. 하지만 해외여행은 야외 활동이 주를 이루기 때문에 스마트폰의 충전이 쉽지 않다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 본 논문에서는 네트워크, 배터리의 사용을 최소한으로 줄이는 방법을 목적으로 Travel Manager를 제안하며 구현한다. Travel Manager는 사용자가 네트워크의 연결 여부를 확인하여 수동으로 여행 관련 정보를 동기화할 수 있도록 한다. 그 밖에 환율을 자동 적용하여 경비를 계산하며, 사용자 간에 여행 정보를 주고받을 수 있는 기능을 제안한다. 또한 배터리의 사용을 최소화하면서 네트워크 연결 없이도 사용이 가능한 네트워크 프리 그린 네비게이션을 제안한다.

Smart Tourism: A Study of Mobile Application Use by Tourists Visiting South Korea

  • The purpose of this exploratory study is to identify the mobile phone applications (apps) used by foreign tourists visiting South Korea through a pilot study using focus groups and individual interviews. Concentrating on tourist mobile app use in a smart tourism environment and categorized through a taxonomy of mobile applications lays the framework and determines the factors boosting tourism smartphone app trends by foreign tourists visiting South Korea. Researchers collected data through ethnographic methods and analyzed it through qualitative research to uncover major themes within the smart tourism app use phenomenon. The researchers coded, counted, analyzed, and then divided the findings gleaned from a pilot study and interviews into a taxonomy of seven logical smartphone app categories. The labeling and coding of all the data accounting for similarities and differences can be recognized and are logically discussed in the implications of the apps used by tourists to assist tourist destinations. More specifically these findings will assist smart tourism destinations by better understanding foreign tourist smartphone app use behavior. Tourists visiting South Korea interviewed in this study exhibited significant mastery of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, craved free WiFi access, and utilized smartphone apps for all facets of their travel. Findings show major concentrations of app use in bookings of accommodations, tourist attractions, online shopping, navigation, wayfinding, augmented reality, information searching, language translation, gaming, and online dating while traveling in South Korea.

안드로이드 스마트폰과 이동 로봇의 자세 동기화를 위한 제어 시스템 (A Control System for Synchronizing Attitude between an Android Smartphone and a Mobile Robot)

  • In this paper, we propose a control system for synchronizing attitude between an Android smartphone and a mobile robot. The control system is comprised of a smartphone and a mobile robot. The smartphone transports its attitude to the mobile robot and receives the attitude of mobile robot through bluetooth communication. Further, the smartphone displays the mobile robot on the screen by using embedded camera, which can be used as a pseudo augmented reality. Comparing the received attitude data from smartphone, the mobile robot measures its attitude by an AHRS(attitude heading reference system) and controls its attitude. Experiments show that the synchronization performance of the proposed system is maintained in the error range of $1^{\circ}$.

Smartphone-based Chemistry Instrumentation: Digitization of Colorimetric Measurements

  • This report presents a mobile instrumentation platform based on a smartphone using its built-in functions for colorimetric diagnosis. The color change as a result of detection is taken as a picture through a CCD camera built in the smartphone, and is evaluated in the form of the hue value to give the well-defined relationship between the color and the concentration. To prove the concept in the present work, proton concentration measurements were conducted on pH paper coupled with a smartphone for demonstration. This report is believed to show the possibility of adapting a smartphone to a mobile analytical transducer, and more applications for bioanalysis are expected to be developed using other built-in functions of the smartphone.

대학행정 어플리케이션 이용에 미치는 결정요인: 모바일 환경을 중심으로 (The Determinants Towards the Use of University Smartphone Application's System: Focused on Mobile Environments)

  • The advancement of information and communication technology have brought the increase and the diversification of the digitalized information, which can be shared at any time from any place. Especially, with the recent spread of smartphone usage, the amount and the diversity of information have increased to amounts that are difficult to quantify. Within such an era of accelerated accumulation and diversification of digitalized information, the informatization of universities is becoming a critical factor for institutional advancement. Thus, universities are developing smartphone applications to provide easily accessible administration services, and support the information needs of each administration process by keeping a relationship with students from admission to post-graduation. This research systematically defines a university smartphone application, distinguishes its system quality factors, and studies the effects they have on satisfaction, intention of reuse, and intention of electronic word-of-mouth. The results showed that the security factor of system quality did not have a significant effect on satisfaction. The responsiveness and the empathy factors of service quality did not show a significant effect on satisfaction. Moreover, it was found that a higher user satisfaction for smartphone applications has a significant influence on intention of reuse and on the intention of electronic word-of-mouth.

모바일 쇼핑 활성화를 위한 스마트폰 패션 어플리케이션에 대한 탐색적 연구 (An Exploratory Study of Smartphone Fashion Application to Promote Mobile Shopping)

  • As smartphones permeate the consumer lifestyle, branded application and mobile shopping have also received increased attention as an important marketing channel. This study identifies the general information about the use of smartphones, attitudes toward fashion applications, and mobile shopping intentions for smartphone users. Focus group interviews were conducted and 22 interviewees participated. The age of the participants ranged from 21 to 45 years old (55% were females). When examining the motivation to adopt a smartphone, respondents presented the comparable characteristics of early adopters and late adopters according to the time of adoption. Most respondents over the age of 30 showed some troubles to use a smartphone; however, participants in their 20s tended to enjoy exploring the new technology. More than half of respondents were aware of fashion applications, but were dissatisfied with fashion apps and used them infrequently. Respondents pointed out that fashion related apps were not too practical because they were not updated regularly, provided only limited information, and focused on brand promotions. In order to increase the intention to adopt mobile shopping, the price and payment security system needs to be considered. This was an exploratory study to identify the possibility of fashion branded apps as a major distribution channel. The findings of this study provide fundamental information to formulate marketing strategies for fashion businesses that have developed fashion apps.

스마트폰의 사용자 수용 모형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the User Acceptance Model of Smartphone)

  • As network technologies evolve and so-called smart technologies appear, applications of smartphones are being applied in widespread areas. In general, the adoption of smartphones is different from the adoption of information systems. Thus, we tried to find out factors which may affect the user acceptance behavior. However, there have been some academic studies that analyzed the factors that affect user acceptance of smartphones, and their relationships. Under this academic background, we develop a model to examine how smartphones are accepted by users based on technology acceptance model. The theoretical model is validated through an online survey of smartphone users from two universities in Seoul, Korea. The results reveal that the users will have positive attitude towards adopting the smartphone when they perceive that the usage of smartphones is useful. We also find that the perceived usefulness of the smartphone is affected by the perceived ease of use and the media richness. The results also suggest that the perceived ease of use is determined by the self-efficacy whereas the intention to use smartphones is determined bv the perceived usefulness, the self-efficacy, and the attitude toward smartphnes' usage. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
