  • 본 논문에서는 인천공항 Airside와 Landside에 위치한 자산의 효율적인 관리를 위한 사물인터넷(IoT) 기반 스마트 자산관리 시스템의 구성과 실증을 제시한다. IoT기반 스마트 자산관리시스템은 위치정보를 생성하는 IoT 태그와 게이트웨이, 수집된 위치정보를 수신하고 표출하는 서버로 구성되어 있으며, IoT 태그를 자산에 부착하여 자산의 실내외 위치정보를 자산관리 시스템에서 실시간으로 확인할 수 있다. 실내 위치정보는 BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy)를 통해 취득하며, 실외 위치정보는 GPS와 LoRa(Long Range)를 통해 취득 가능하다. 개발한 시스템의 성능 검증을 위해 인천공항 제1여객터미널 내 기설치된 AP를 활용하였으며, 공항 전역을 커버할 수 있는 LoRa Gateway를 설치하였다. 개발한 자산관리 시스템은 공항이 보유한 자산의 도난 방지 등 효율적인 관리 와 공항운영에 기여할 것으로 예상된다.

Implementation of Smart Shoes for Dementia Patients using Embedded Board and Low Power Wide Area Technology (저전력장거리 기술과 임베디드 보드를 이용한 치매 돌봄 스마트 신발 구현)

  • In this paper smart shoes for dementia care using embedded boards and Low Power Wide Area technology and their application software are implemented. The communication board composed of Cortex-M3 board and LoRa module is embedded into groove made in outsole of smart shoes. Including the mold, the shoe outsole was manufactured by hand. By using application software and embedded board, caregiver can track the position of dementia patient using GPS and LoRa network. The location tracking and data transmission operations of smart shoes have been successfully verified in the outdoor environment. The smart shoes of this paper are applicable to a safety device to prevent the disappearance of demented patients through results of experiments and if bigdata is collected and analyzed by deep-learning, it may be helpful to analyze the predictive path of dementia patients or the pattern of dementia.

  • Sensing is an important part of a smart home system. Vision sensors are a type of passive systems, which are not sensitive to noise. In this paper, we implement a prototype for stereo vision systems using OpenCV. It is an open source library for computer vision developed by Intel corporation. The prototype will by used for comparing performance among various stereo algorithms and for developing a stereo vision smart camera.

  • 본 논문에서는 사물인터넷 기반의 홈/사무실을 구현하기 위해 사용자 등급, 사용자의 실내/외 구분을 통한 지능형 도어락을 소개한다. 도어락을 제어하기 위하여 오픈 소스 하드웨어인 '가상오브젝트 기반의 게이트웨이 라즈베리파이'와 '통합 컨트롤러 플랫폼 아두이노'를 이용하였으며 모바일 플랫폼으로는 안드로이드 스마트폰을 이용하였다. 본 지능형 도어락은 모바일 어플리케이션을 통해 문개/폐, 이력 조회, 실시간 영상 조회를 할 수 있으며, 사용자의 등급을 Owner(주인)와 Guest(손님)으로 나누어 도어락 제어의 제한을 두는 지능적인 도어락이다.

  • With the need for efficient maintenance technology to reduce maintenance costs for steel bridges, repainting robots are being developed to automate the work in narrow and poor bridge spaces. The repainting robot is equipped with a blasting module to remove paint layers and contaminants. This study developed a prototype monitoring module to be mounted on the repainting robot. The monitoring module analyzes the condition of the painting surface through a camera installed in the front, guides the direction of movement of the robot, and provides the operator with a video to check the working status after blasting through a camera installed in the back. Various image visibility enhancement technologies were applied to the monitoring module to overcome worksite challenges where incomplete lighting and dust occurs.

  • Shrimp farming has been becoming a new source of income for fishermen in South Korea. It is often necessary for fishers to measure the size of the shrimp for the purpose to understand the growth rate of the shrimp and to determine the amount of food put into the breeding pond. Traditional methods rely on humans, which has huge time and labor costs. This paper proposes a deep learning-based method for calculating the size of shrimps automatically. Firstly, we use fine-tuning techniques to update the Mask RCNN model with our farm data, enabling it to segment shrimps and generate shrimp masks. We then use skeletonizing method and maximum inscribed circle to calculate the length and width of shrimp, respectively. Our method is simple yet effective, and most importantly, it requires a small hardware resource and is easy to deploy to shrimp farms.

  • The airport processes are restricted by some limits of performance objects as size of airport, ability of human resources, capacity of facilities and operational rules. These limitations make passenger handling difficult when passenger numbers increase. In order to solve this problem, we modeled the airport process and analyzed departure passenger arrival, scheduled security manpower under specific customer service level maintenance with mixed integer programming and validate the efficiency with simulation with adapting smart airport framework. We concluded that the airport management with information techniques can reduce waiting time within security and immigration process.

  • The several smart construction technologies are being introduced to the construction industry, and among these technologies, a few companies are attempting quality control using 3D scanning and BIM. Therefore, in this study, 3D scanning and BIM were applied to cases of on-site quality inspection to confirm the applicability and utility. As a result, it was confirmed that the quality inspection using 3D scanning and BIM was shorter in time than the previously performed quality inspection and can be realized with less manpower. Therefore, it is considered that 3D scanning and BIM-enabled technologies can be applied to various items of quality inspection.

  • In island and backcountry areas, electrical power is usually supplied by diesel generators. It is difficult for small scale diesel generators to have an economy of scale owing to the usage of fossil fuels to produce electricity. Also, there is a problem of carbon dioxide emissions that brings some environmental pollution to the entire region of the area. For solving those, this paper proposes a design method of autonomous micro-grid to minimize the fossil fuels of diesel generator, which is composed of diesel generator, wind turbine, battery energy storage system and photovoltaic generation system. The proposed method was verified through computer simulation and micro-grid operation system.

  • This paper deals with whether it is possible to find a way to solve the conflict between villagers and tourists by newly defining the difference between free village and public tourist destinations in Korea, reinforce the insufficient guidance and notification services with realistic media, and implement additional killing contents and attractions. Location-based service enables real-time docent service and emergency response and smart glass thread.
