농가의 스마트팜 설비 이용률 및 스마트팜 이용인식에 대한 조사연구 - 전남 스마트팜 농가를 대상으로 - (A Survey on the Facility Use Rate and the Perception of Facility Use of Smart Farming Farmers in Jeonnam Province)

  • This study investigates the facility use status of smart farming farmers to improve facility use rate of farmers. To this end, a survey was conducted on smart farming farmers in Jeonnam province, and the main survey contents are as follows: facility use rate, the reasons for low facility use, the perception of the introduction and use of smart farming etc. As a result of the survey, many farmers have introduced smart farming facilities even though they do not have enough use capacity. Thus it is necessary to improve the use capacity of farmers. Second, the average facility use rate of farmers was 65.1%, and 37.5% of respondents did not use even 50% of smart farming facilities. To improve the use rate, education on how to use facilities and continuous consulting support for farmers are needed. And the largest number of farmers perceived the risk like crop damage or facility failure due to poor use of facilities. This means that risk management due to the smart farming facilities is important. Third, farmers answered that rapid and continuous repair service were the most important when using facilities. Thus it is important to foster rear industries such as maintenance companies to stably operate smart farming facilities.

  • 도시집중 현상이 가속화되고 도시 자원 및 인프라 부족, 교통 혼잡, 에너지 문제 등 이러한 도시 문제를 해결하고 4차 산업혁명에 선제적으로 대응하기 위해 스마트 시티의 필요성이 전 세계적으로 대두 되고 있는 상황에서 전 세계 스마트시티 기술의 보안이 위험한 상태라는 분석이 지배적이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 스마트시티에 대한 주요 보안 이슈를 대표적인 서비스인 스마트 그리드, 스마트 빌딩, 스마트 교통 부분에 국한하여 기술 및 보안 위협 및 대응에 대해 분석하였다. 향후 스마트시티 구축의 다양한 기술에 대한 분석 및 사이버보안에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행됨에 있어 본 논문이 해결방안 마련의 시작이 될 것으로 기대한다.

Learners' Smart Media Literacy on the Gender and School Levels

  • The present study aims to examine whether the gender and school of students affect smart media literacy in South Korea. For the purpose of this study, data in Korea Youth Competency Measurement and International Comparative research II was analyzed. The data was nationwide data collected from 11,284 students in elementary, middle, high, and undergraduate school in South Korea. The participants were asked to answer 18 items of smart media literacy questionnaire (SMLQ) that consisted of four factors; ability to learn using smart media, ability to operate smart devices, ability to use smart applications, and positive perception of using smart media. As a result, statically significant differences were observed in the participants' gender and school levels. In relation to the gender level, female students scored higher than male students on the smart literacy survey. With regard to the school level, middle school students scored the highest while elementary school students scored the lowest. In addition, a statistically significant difference was found in the gender level of smart media literacy on two dependent measures in terms of the interaction effect of gender and school levels. Based on the findings of the present study, strategies to improve smart media literacy according to students' gender and school levels have been made and suggestions for further research have been proposed in detail.

스마트 그리드를 위한 무선 기반의 수요 반응 기능을 가지는 조명 제어용 장치 개발 및 실험적 평가 (Development and Experimental Evaluation of the Wireless Illumination Controller with Demand Response for the Smart Grid)

  • Recently, a lot of research for the smart grid technology have been carried out to achieve energy efficiency for the electronic products. In order to practically apply this study, smart instruments which are capable of the AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) and DR (Demand Response) function are necessary. However, it is difficult to apply the function of the smart grid to the electronic product that cannot support the smart grid. Accordingly, the efficient use of electric energy is impossible. In order to solve this problem, the electronic product has to be changed into the exclusive electronic product supporting smart grid technology or the smart controller has to be attached the outside of the device. In this study, we developed the smart controller for connecting the electric appliances to the smart grid system. It can be attached to the illumination and the smart grid-based lamp control system at home. We additionally designed the message frame and the protocol to operate the smart controller with the AMI based EMS (Energy Management Server). We developed an experimental system to practically verify functions of the smart controller which is attached to the lighting device. From the system, we showed that the electric source of the illumination can be controlled according to the load change and saved energy effectively. We also confirmed the structural benefit and the energy-efficient effect through the verification of the smart controller.

  • The technology convergence of television, communication, and computing devices enables the rich social and entertaining experience through Smart TV in personal living space. The powerful smart TV computing platform allows to provide various user interaction interfaces like IR remote control, web based control, body gesture based control, etc. The presently used smart TV interaction user control methods are not efficient and user-friendly to access different type of media content and services and strongly required advanced way to control and access to the smart TV with easy user interface. This paper propose the optical wireless communication (OWC) based remote controller design for Smart TV using smart device Flashlights. In this approach, the user smart device act as a remote controller with touch based interactive smart device application and transfer the user control interface data to smart TV trough Flashlight using visible light communication method. The smart TV built-in camera follows the optical camera communication (OCC) principle to decode data and control smart TV user access functions according. This proposed method is not harmful as radio frequency (RF) radiation does it on human health and very simple to use as well user does need to any gesture moves to control the smart TV.

  • 최근 세계적으로 RFID tag에 외부환경 정보를 습득 할 수 있는 Smart RFID tag 기술에 대한 관심도가 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 온도센서를 이용한 Smart RFID tag를 제안한다. Smart RFID tag는 13.56Mhz의 안테나, 온도센서, 데이터를 처리하는 컨트롤러로 구성되어져 있으며, 안테나 설계 및 PCB 제작으로 소형화함으로서 농 식품 포장에 적용될 수 있도록 제작하였다. Smart RFID tag는 농 수산식품 포장지에 부착 되어 유통되며 소비자에게 판매되는 과정에서 생긴 온도변화를 체크하게 된다. 실시간으로 온도변화를 체크하기 때문에 식품의 신선도 및 운반상태를 확인할 수 있다. 응용사례로써 Smart RFID tag를 활용한 smart 냉장고 시스템을 제안하였다.

  • This paper deals with sensing ability of smart sensor that has a sensing ability of distinguish materials. We have developed new signal processing method that have distinguish different materials. We made the two type of smart sensors for experiment. The first type of smart sensor is H2 type. The second type of smart sensor is HH type. The smart sensor was developed for recognition of material. And then we developed estimation method of sensing ability of smart sensors. The first method(Sensing Ability Index) is developed for H2 smart sensor. The second method($R_{SAI}$ Index) is developed for HH smart sensor. We estimated sensing ability of smart sensor with new SAI and $R_{SAI}$ method. This paper describes our primary study for a new method of estimate sensing ability of smart sensor, which is need for precision work system. This is a study of dynamic characteristics of smart sensor according to frequency and displacement changing with new SAI and $R_{SAI}$ method. Experiment and analysis are executed for proper dynamic sensing condition. First, we developed advanced smart sensors. Second, we develop new SAI and $R_{SAI}$ methods that have a sensing ability of distinguish materials. Dynamic characteristics of smart sensor are evaluated through new SAI and $R_{SAI}$ method relatively. We can use the new SAI and $R_{SAI}$ method for finding materials. Applications of this method are finding abnormal condition of object(auto-manufacturing), feeling of object(medical product), robotics, safety diagnosis of structure, etc.

Assessing the adoption potential of a smart greenhouse farming system for tomatoes and strawberries using the TOA-MD model

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the economic evaluation of a smart farm investment for tomatoes and strawberries. In addition, the potential adoption rate of the smart farm was derived for different scenarios. This study analyzed the economic evaluation with the net present value (NPV) method and estimated the adoption potential of the smart farm with the trade-off analysis, minimum data (TOA-MD) model. The results were as follows: The analysis of the net present value shows that the smart farm investment for the two crops are economically feasible, and the minimum prices for the tomatoes and strawberries should be 1,179 and 3,797 won/kg to secure a sufficient economic feasibility for the smart farm investment. Next, the analysis of the potential adoption rates for smart farms through the TOA-MD model showed that when the support ratio for the adoption of a smart farm system was 50% and the price increase rates were, respectively, - 5, 2.5, 0, 2.5, and 5%, the conversion rates for tomato farms to switch to smart farms were 0.97, 1.78, 3.05, 4.91, and 7.47%, while the ratios of the strawberry farms to switch to smart farms were 0.12, 0.29, 0.65, 1.33, and 2.53%, respectively. This study has some known limitations, but it provides useful information on decision making about smart farm adoption and can contribute to government policies on smart farms.
