The purpose of this study is to establish a system that manages the safety of buildings efficiently by finding the correlation of elements related to the safety of buildings and intuitively visualizing them. Data were collected using the data of small-scale buildings managed by public institutions and the government, and an effective analysis visualization environment was established through pre-processing. We selected safety-vulnerable factors such as the structure of the building and completion date to find the relationship, and established a model to prioritize management to find vulnerable buildings.
We examine large-scale environmental effects on the formation and the mass growth of dark matter halos. To facilitate this, we constructed dark matter halo merger trees from a cosmological N-body simulation, which enabled us to trace the merger information and the assembly history of individual halos. In fact, since the massive halos are more likely to be distributed in denser regions than in less dense regions (Mo & White, 1996), the large-scale environment dependence of the properties of halos can be partly originated from the halo mass effect. In order to avoid such contamination, caused by the mass dependence of halo properties, we carefully measured the local overdensity as the indicator of large-scale environment, which was calculated to be as independent of halo mass as possible. Small halos (${\sim}10^{11-12}M_{\odot}$), which usually host isolated single galaxies, show a notable difference on the formation time of galaxies depending on their large-scale environments, which reconfirms halo assembly bias (Gao & White, 2007). Furthermore, we investigate how this environmental effect on small halos is correlated with the mass assembly history of galaxies by using our semi-analytic model. We found that assembly bias in small halos does not have significant effects on the formation time or on the star formation history of galaxies residing in those halos except for the individual stellar mass of galaxies at z = 0. On average, isolated galaxies in high-density regions tend to be slightly more massive than those in low-density regions. Although the observational data from the current galaxy surveys is not yet sufficient for testing this prediction, future galaxy surveys will be able to explore these small galaxies more thoroughly.
The present study has aimed at analyzing the technical and scale efficiencies of credit utilization by the farmer-borrowers in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. DEA approach was followed to analyze the credit utilization efficiency and to analyze the factors influencing the credit utilization efficiency, log-linear regression analysis was attempted. DEA analysis revealed that, the number of farmers operating at CRS are more in number in marginal farms (40%) followed by other (35%) and small (17.5%) farms. Regarding the number of farmers operating at VRS, small farmers dominate the scenario with 72.5 per cent followed by other (67.5%) and marginal (42.5%) farmers. With reference to scale efficiency, marginal farmers are in majority (52.5%) followed by other (47.5%) and small (25%) farmers. At the pooled level, 26.7 per cent of the farmers are being operated at CRS, 63 per cent at VRS and 32.5 per cent of the farmers are either performed at the optimum scale or were close to the optimum scale (farms having scale efficiency values equal to or more than 0.90). Nearly 58, 15 and 28 percents of the farmers in the marginal farms category were found operating in the region of increasing, decreasing and constant returns respectively. Compared to marginal farmers category, there are less number of farmers operating at CRS both in small farmers category (15%) and other farmers category (22.5%). At the pooled level, only 5 per cent of the farmers are operating at DRS, majority of the farmers (73%) are operating at IRS and only 22 per cent of the farmers are operating at CRS indicating efficient utilization of credit. The log-linear regression model fitted to analyze the major determinants of credit utilization (technical) efficiency of farmer-borrowers revealed that, the three variables viz., cost of cultivation and family expenditure (both negatively influencing at 1% significant level) and family income (positively influencing at 1% significant level) are the major determinants of credit utilization efficiency across all the selected farmers categories and at pooled level. The analysis further indicate that, escalation in the cost of cultivation of crop enterprises in the region, rise in family expenditure and prior indebtedness of the farmers are showing adverse influence on the credit utilization efficiency of the farmer-borrowers.

Best management practices (BMPs) are widely accepted and implemented as a mitigation method for soil erosion and non-point source problems. Estimating the amount of soil erosion and the effectiveness of BMPs using hydrological models help to understand the condition, identify the problems, and make plans for conservation practices in an area, typically a watershed. However, the accuracy and reliability of assessment of BMP impacts estimated by hydrological models can be often questionable due to the uncertainties from various sources including GIS(Geographic Information System) data, scale, and model. This study reviewed the development and the background of hydrological models, and the modeling issues such as the selection of models, scale, and uncertainties of data and models. This study also discussed the advantage of a small scale and spatially distributed model to estimate the impacts of BMPs.

Recent development of IT industry including smart phones and communication technologies has resulted in rapid growth of Internet of Things (IoT) technology and relevant markets. The access to IoT is becoming easier thanks to the boards and IoT products, such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Large-scale business sites use IoT technology to manage inventories, but small-scale business sites do not. In the present study, We ported Linux-based Raspbian to Raspberry Pi, It utilizes web server communication to control the Arduino through the application We used a color sensor to figure out the kind of inventory. We also built a database using MySQL to store the data. We used raspberry pi to check whether the proposed system works and apply it to small-scale business.

Internet-of-Things (IoT) is an emerging technology that interconnects millions of small devices to enable communication between the devices. It is heavily deployed across small scale to large scale industries because of its wide range of applications. These devices are very capable of transferring data over the internet including critical data in few applications. Such data is exposed to various security threats and thereby raises privacy-related concerns. Even devices can be compromised by the attacker. Modern cryptographic algorithms running on traditional machines provide authentication, confidentiality, integrity, and non-repudiation in an easy manner. IoT devices have numerous constraints related to memory, storage, processors, operating systems and power. Researchers have proposed several hardware and software implementations for addressing security attacks in lightweight encryption mechanism. Several works have made on lightweight block ciphers for improving the confidentiality by means of providing security level against cryptanalysis techniques. With the advances in the cipher breaking techniques, it is important to increase the security level to much higher. This paper, focuses on securing the critical data that is being transmitted over the internet by PRESENT using key-based dynamic S-Box. Security analysis of the proposed algorithm against other lightweight block cipher shows a significant improvement against linear and differential attacks, biclique attack and avalanche effect. A novel key-based dynamic S-Box approach for PRESENT strongly withstands cryptanalytic attacks in the IoT Network.

In this paper, Recursive Least Squares (RLS) and Fourier Transform Regression (FTR) methods for estimating stability and control derivatives of small unmanned helicopter are evaluated together with MMLE technique. Flight data simulated by using a commercial small-scale helicopter model are exploited to estimate the parameters with accuracies for hover and cruise modes. The performances of the system identification methods are also compared by analyzing the responses of the reconstructed systems using estimated derivatives.

Macro scale distributed hydrological models simulate river discharge with better accuracy but it depends upon the grid resolution of input data. Effects of different input resolutions are studied here. Three different grid resolution input data obtained from HUBEX-IOP EEWB data and GAME Re-analysis data are used to simulate river discharge and compared against the observed one. CAME Re-analysis 1.25-degree resolution data are found quite satisfactory in larger basins, while HUBEX-IOP EEWB 10-minute resolution data are better for small catchments. GAME Re-analysis 2.5-degree resolution data did not give good result. Simulated results by using spatially interpolated data are rather worse than using original data. The Huaihe River basin $(132350\textrm{km}^2)$ is taken as the case of study.
Current socio-demographic change that small households are increasing fast requires new business model in housing industry. Purpose of this study is to suggest a strategic direction to the private constructors by analyzing the condition of small household's housing and small-housing market in Seoul metropolitan area. With referring to literature and analyzing statistical raw data, it was found that residents of small household were residing in different type, scale and occupation of housing depending on their age, gender and region, and small housing market was at the beginning stage so that there was no dominant figure yet. Implications are as follows: private supplier should satisfy the needs of individual subgroups of small household, then should respond to the industrial change towards rental business, finally were suggested to launch a new brand of small housing.

The purpose of this study was to investigate how student felt the strengths and shortness of presentation methods for formation of interior spaces. For this study, the process of the interior architecture design class was divided into three stages: the programming. the design development, and the design completion. In the design development stage, students used presentation methods: hand sketch, scale model, computer modeling, and virtual realty. The strengths of hand sketch was that quick expression. Models provided three-dimensional feelings. Computer modelling provide realistic color and texture. Virtual reality provided three-dimensional immersion and real scale. It is effective that students collect brain storm images using quick hand sketch in the beginning of design development stage. After that, they compose interior spaces in study models with small scale. Watching the models, they design details of spaces by using hand sketch and computer modelling. Using virtual reality, they can check the scale and circulation. Finally, they complete computer modelling by texture mapping and check the final design in virtual reality.
