In this study, The decomposition of gas-phase Benzene and Toluene, Xylene in air streams by direct UV Photolysis, UV/TiO$_2$ and UV/TiO$_2$/A.C process was studied. The experiments were carried out under various UV light intensities and initial concentrations of B.T.X to investigate and compare the removal efficiency of the pollutant. B.T.X was determined by GC-FID of gas samples taken from the a glass sampling bulb which was located at reactor inlet and outlet by gas-tight syringe. From this study, the results indicate that UV/TiO$_2$/A.C system (photooxidation-photocatalytic oxidation-adsorption process) is ideal for treatment of B.T.X from the small workplace. Although the results needs more verifications, the methodology seems to be reasonable and can be applied for various workplace (laundry, gas station et al.).
Among the industrial disasters caused by drop, ladder related drop disasters are occurred the mostly. The victims are occurred continuously. This study analyzed current situation of industrial disasters for recent 10 years(2005~2014) and compared analyzed statistics of death disasters of ladder by workplace scale, age, occupation, employment type, working content, scarred area, etc. in detail. This study suggested direction of safety standard modification for ladder that is an original cause material of many drops, direction of safety training strengthening of small-scaled workplace, and safety model based on disaster statistics and should contribute to reduction of disaster rate for ladder working.

In this paper, we propose a measurement system for measuring radioactivity detected in an indoor environment. This is to measure and prevent radiation generated in various spaces such as general house, workplace, and research institutes. Multi-radioactivity sensors are used to measure multiple spaces simultaneously. The measured radioactivity data is transmitted to the PC in real time through ZigBee and monitored. Even with a small amount of radioactivity, it is considered that it must be installed in a place where radiation exposure is expected, such as a laboratory or workplace, for prevention from chronic radiation syndrome.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the difference of noise level according to noise measuring methods in the noisy working environments. Sound pressure level(SPL), equivalence sound level(Leq) and personal noise exposure dose(Dose) in the fifty-nine unit workplaces of the twenty-eight industries were measured and relating factors which were affected noise level were investigated. The results were as follows ; 1. The noise levels were $88.70{\pm}5.68dB(A)$ by SPL, $89.07{\pm}5.41dB(A)$ by Leq and $89.07{\pm}5.69$ by Dose. The differences of noise levels by three measuring methods were statistically significant(P<0.001) by repeated measure ANOV A. 2. Comparing with noise levels by general classes of noise exposure, noise levels of continuous noise were $89.14{\pm}5.19dB(A)$ by SPL, $89.45{\pm}4.65dB(A)$ by Leq and $90.04{\pm}5.09$ by Dose. Noise levels of intermittent noise were $87.90{\pm}6.52dB(A)$ by SPL, $88.40{\pm}6.63dB(A)$ by Leq and $90.10{\pm}6.80$ by Dose. The differences noise level of noise measuring methods by general classese of noise exposure were statistically not significant by repeated measure ANOV A. 3. Interaction between general classese of noise exposure and noise measuring methods for noise level was not statistically significant by repeated measure ANOVA. And the noise level by noise measuring methods were statistically significant by repeated measure ANOV A(P<.001) 4. Comparing with noise levels by unit workplace size, noise levels of large unit workplace were $90.73{\pm}5.87dB(A)$ by SPL, $91.32{\pm}5.50dB(A)$ by Leq and $91.82{\pm}6.06$ by Dose and noise levels of middle unit workplace were $88.31{\pm}5.26dB(A)$ by SPL, $88.41{\pm}4.83dB(A)$ by Leq and $89.69{\pm}5.05$ by Dose. And noise levels of small unit workplace were $94.89{\pm}4.10dB(A)$ by SPL, $85.35{\pm}4.11dB(A)$ by Leq and $86.87{\pm}4.98$ by Dose. The noise level differences of noise measuring methods by unit workplace size were statistically significant by repeated measure ANOV A(P<.05). 5. The noise level by noise measuring methods were statistically significant by repeated measure ANOV A(P<.001). But Interaction between workplace size and noise level measuring methods for noise level was not statistically significant by repeated measure ANOVA. According to the above results, there was a difference of the noise level among the three measuring methods. Therefore we must use the personal noise exposure dose using by noise dose meter, possible, to prvent occupational hearing loss in noisy working environment.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify moderating effects of work-family conflict in the relationship between job, organizational, career characteristics and turnover intention among nurses working in small and medium-sized hospitals. Methods: A self report questionnaire survey was completed by 286 nurses working in five small or medium-sized hospitals in P city. Data were gathered during October, 2014 and analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: Work-family conflict had significant moderating effects between job, organizational, career characteristics and turnover intention of nurses working in small or medium-sized hospitals. Career commitment was the biggest factor in reducing turnover intention. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate that work-family conflict and career commitment are important factors in turnover intention among nurses working in small and medium-sized hospitals. Therefore, to understand job and organizational career characteristics of nurses in small and medium hospitals, consideration must be given to the role of conflict in the nurses' workplace and homes. Support from the organization focusing on career development, and provision of an innovative system for the environment of small hospitals are needed.
There was a difference in recognition of respirators according to the educational performance environment. they were showed higher recognition of respirators of group by internal and external mix trainer, less than 6 months, over 1hour, more than 5 times, variety of education. To identify the relationship between types of job classification(typical and atypical)and the levels of recognition of respirators, a total of 153 workers in a business workplace. mainly, typical workers showed higher recognition of respirators than atypical workers. Training of correct wearing showed high demands both typical and atypical workers. Descriptive statistics(SAS ver 9.2)was performed. the results of recognition of respirators were analyzed the mean and standard deviation by t-test, and anova, fit factor is used geometric means(geometric standard deviation), paired t-test, Wilcoxon analysis(P=0.05). Particulate filtering facepiece respirators (PFFR) is one of the most widely used items of personal protective equipments, and a tight fit of the respirators on the wearers is critical for the protection effectiveness. In order to effectively protect the workers through the respirators, it is important to find and evaluate the ways that can be readily applicable at the workplace to improve the fit of the respirators. This study was designed to evaluate effects of mask style (cup or foldable type) and donning training on fit factors (FF) of the respirators, since these are available at various workplace, especially at small business workplace. A total of 40 study subjects, comprised of employment type workers in metalworking industries, were enrolled in this study. The FF were quantitatively measured before and after training related to the proper donning and use of cup or foldable-type respirators. The pass/fail criterion of FF was set at 100. After the donning training for the cup-type mask, fit test were increased by 769%. but foldable-type mask was also increased after the donning training, the GM of FF for the foldable-type mask and it's increase rate were smaller as compared to the cup-type mask. Furthermore, the differences of the increase rates of the GM of FF in employment type of the subjects were not significantly for the foldable-type mask. These results imply that the raining on the donning and use of PFFR can enhance the protection effectiveness of cup or foldable-type mask, and that the training effects for the foldable-type mask is less significant than that for the cup-type mask. Therefore, it is recommended that the donning training and fit tests should be conducted before the use of the PFFR, and listening to workers opinion regularly.

Necessity for the guidebook of occupational health nursing practice has been perceived by our OH research members since the health management of small scale enterprises(SSE) was controlled by law. Mean-while, developing the OH manual, our team found that the work situation of occupational health nursing(OHN) services should be prior to the construction of the OHN manual. This procedure was regarded as helpful for producing the OH manual which is fitting to the Korean nursing circumstances. Thus, this study was planned and carried out. The study aimed to find out current situation of work performance on occupational health nursing practice perceived by nurses working for health management of SSE. Questionnaire was distributed to the OH nurses working in the 55 group occupational health service(GOHS) agencies throughout the Korea from January to March in 1997. Ninety-seven nurses of the 31 GOHS agencies responded. Descriptive statistics was used in the SAS programme. Four nurses participated to select nursing area investigated in the study. Those area were 'document', 'job orientation', 'OH reference', 'nursing theory', 'group health education', 'health examination', 'work dilemma', 'approach attitude', 'workplace visit', 'health promotion' and 'communication'. Results can be summarized as follow : Types of document were mentioned diversely depending on the GOHS agencies. Job orientation was seen to be performed by nurses in 56% among the 75.3% nurses responded. Sixty five percents of nurses agreed to apply nursing theories into the OH with lack of knowledge on them. Health screening and health education were responded as commonly provided nursing activities with various nursing obstacles as well as indicated in the area of 'work dilemma', 'approach attitude', 'workplace visit', 'health promotion'.

These results In general, small- and medium-sized workplaces have low levels of GHS awareness and organic solvents knowledge. The perception of chemical substances according to the departments. In general, the demand for chemical substances education was highly suggested regardless of the job type. There was a significant difference in the perception of health, safety and practice according to the level of GHS cognitive, and a high perception in the incomplete group. There was not much difference in average awareness of health, safety and practice according to organic solvents knowledge level, but there was a high perception in good group. It is very important to regularly check the worker's perception of the workplace and identify problems with the work environment and improve the work environment. In addition, each department presents appropriate safety and health education such as chemical process safety, toxicity of chemical substances and human exposure. We also propose a chemical substances assessment and management plan that integrates safety and health.
The objective of this study is to develop a new system that is simpler to be used to keep the safe workplace at the small food manufacturers which employees less than 10 persons. The number of these small food manufacturers is 13,853 and account for almost 80% of all food manufacturers. Most of these companies do not pay attention to safety and thus keep high accident potential. It is very important to persuade these companies to manage safety but they can hardly handle the complicated requirements of safety, health, quality, food quality, and musculoskeletal disorders intervention. This system is intended to develop a system which can be easily implemented but comprehensive to reflect main points in safety management, musculoskeletal disorders intervention,. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, KOSHA 18001, GAP and ISO 22000.
During five years (Year 2009~2013), Total victims of 72 %(81,560 people) and those 50.6 %(1,258 people) of death accident occurs in small scale construction site which operate 2 million USD less construction budget. Especially, falling death accident account for 785 people, in the share of 33.2 %(261 people) death disaster takes due to defect of original cause materials. The major safety issues in small scale work place take place while scaffold installation, disassembling, work-plate improper installation or non-professional skills of workers. Furthermore, labor subcontract systems make small construction site shortage of resources. Those workers regard work-plate as unnecessary and consumables supplies. Because of that most of workers use unsafe workplace in most construction site. Therefore, in order to prevent falling accident occurring in small scale work site, government should organize related regulations such as "Work site safety construction method" and then expands education support, financial aid, and sourcing safety supplies for work plate which offer broad variety experiences. Also, introduce certificate solutions for various work plates to improve safety function such as anchoring type method and anti sliding function.
