  • Sensorial tests were executed to find the sensibility and texture of the fabrics. The physiological responses employed in this study was electroencephalogram(EEG). The purpose of this study is to find out how the sample groups responded to the texture of the woven silks and the woven ramie. The sample groups are of 10 males and females, age of 25. EEG was recorded a fast and slow alpha wave according to the texture of the textiles. The sample fabrics are of woven silk and woven ramie. The results obtained as be lows. When the sample groups touched the woven silk, they responded and showed more slow alpha wave than the woven ramie. The slow alpha wave raised when the sample groups felt comfort and relax. The fast alpha wave were more in the woven ramie, it raised when the people felt the tension and the anxiety. There was no significant difference between the male and the female. Woven silk has the soft and smoothness it causes comfort. The sensation of tactile was recorded through the EEG.

  • The characteristics of slow wave structure employed for backward wave oscillators expected to be a high power microwave source are studied analytically and experimentary. The slow wave structure is a sinusoidally corrugated wall waveguide The dispersion relationn and transmitted characteristics for microwaves are measured in the air. There exist literatures on high efficiency of enhanced radiation from backward wave oscillators involving plasma studied experimentally.

  • We have designed the backward wave oscillator operating at 24 GHz. From the research which sees researches in the goal which will design and will produce K-band BWO where is a backward wave oscillator which departs from cycle prisoner 24 GHz until now is higher. To design Chrencov instibility and branch of family used a slow cyclotron instibility. Calculation used a dispersion relation and in order for as the box over-flow not to happen, a asymtotic expansion. Used a beam mode and a waveguide mode and axial symmetry and expense used in compliance with sattle point interpreted the relationship of axial symmetry.

  • The dispersion relation and the characteristic of propagation are measured. The measurements of the dispersion relation are observed by a plunger method employed in slow plasma density by pumping microwaves on the axis are observed in plasma loaded slow wave structure. In case of small incident microwave powers the well known plasma density cavity are observed. At the axial positions of minimal radius in the waveguides, the maxima og the electron density, the plasma potential and the RF electric field are observed in cases of high-power microwaves.

  • Poroelasticity theory has been widely used for detecting cancellous bone deterioration because of the safe use for humans. The tortuosity itself is an important indicator for ultrasound detection for bone diseases. The transport properties of cancellous bone are also important in bone mechanotransduction. In this paper, two important factors, the wave velocity and attenuation are examined for permeability (or tortuosity). The theoretical calculation for the relationship between the wave velocity (and attenuation) and permeability (or tortuosity) for cancellous bone is shown in this study. It is found that the wave along the solid phase (trabecular struts) is influenced not by tortuosity, but the wave along the fluid wave (bone fluid phase) is affected by tortuosity significantly. However, the attenuation is different that the attenuation of a fast wave has less influence than that of a slow wave because the slow wave is observed by the relative motion between the solid and fluid phases.

  • It was investigated whether $Ca^{2+}$ and $K^+$ channels were involved in the inhibitory action of nitric oxide (NO) on the contractile and slow wave activity of guinea pig gastric antral circular muscle. The gastric antral circular muscle showed spontaneous phasic contraction and slow wave. NO donors, 3-morpholinosydnonimine hydrochloride (SIN-1, $0.01{\sim}100{\mu}M$) and S-nitroso-L-cysteine (CysNO, $0.001{\sim}10{\mu}M$), reduced not only the amplitude of phasic contraction but also that of slow wave in a concentration-dependent manner. Both the perfusion of $Ca^{2+}$-free solution and the administration of $Ni^{2+}$, a nonselective $Ca^{2+}$ channel blocker, reduced the phasic contraction as well as the amplitude and frequency of the slow wave. The effects of these treatments were similar to those of NO donors. Nifedipine ($10{\mu}M$), a specific L-type $Ca^{2+}$ channel blocker, abolished the phasic contraction and remarkably reduced the plateau of slow wave but had no profound effect on the upstroke of slow wave. In the whole-cell patch clamp mode, CysNO shifted the steady-state activation curve for L-type $Ca^{2+}$ current to the right and the steady-state inactivation curve to the left. Pretreatment of various $K^+$ channel blockers such as tetraethylammonium (1 mM), 4-aminopyridine (0.5 mM), glibenclamide (10 mM), apamin ($0.1{\mu}M$), and iberiotoxin ($0.1{\mu}M$) did not affect the inhibitory action of SIN-1. These results suggest that NO donors suppress mechanical and electrical activity of guinea pig gastric antral circular muscle by inhibition of L-type $Ca^{2+}$ channel rather than by activation of $K^+$ channels.

  • This paper presents a Bagley polygon and Gysel divider using open-stub loaded transmission line. The structure of slow-wave characteristic consists of small transmission line and shunt capacitive open stub that have reduced characteristic impedance and phase velocity, so we can implement the small circuit size. To validate the slow-wave characteristics, we are implemented the slow-wave characteristic of Bagley polygon and Gysel divider at center frequency 2.1 GHz. Its characteristics are same, but the circuit size is reduced above 15 % respectively.

  • A large diameter slot waveguide made backward wave oscillator is investigated experimentally. The parameters of slow wave structure are chosen so that the oscillation frequency is about 20 GHz. Plasma is produced by the beam and it has favorable effects on beam propagation and Cherncov oscillation. The output power strongly enhanced when the guiding magnetic field approaches to the fundamental electron cyclotron resonance.

  • We have studied the backward wave oscillator, a power-pulsed generator oscillator at 20 GHz has higher frequency then current one. An absolute instability linear analysis was used for the purpose of designing the slow wave structure. A large diameter of the slow wave structure was adopted to prevent the breakdown brought about by the increase of power density.

  • We investigated the effects of nitric oxide (NO) donors, S-nitroso-L-cysteine (Cys-NO) and 3-morpholinosydnonimine hydrochloride (SIN-1), on the contractile and electrical activity of the circular muscle of guinea pig gastric antrum by using intracellular microelectrode technique. The gastric antral circular muscle showed spontaneous phasic contraction and slow wave of membrane potential. Cys-NO ($0.001{\sim}10{\mu}M$) and SIN-1 ($0.001{\sim}100{\mu}M$) reduced not only the tonic and phasic contraction but also the amplitude of slow wave in a concentration dependent manner. NO donors were more potent to inhibit phasic contraction than to do slow wave. These inhibitory effects of NO donors were mimicked by the membrane permeable guanosine-3',5'-cyclic monophosphate (cGMP) analogue, 8-bromo-cyclic GMP (8-br-cGMP, $10{\sim}300{\mu}M$). The inhibitory effects of SIN-1 and Cys-NO were antagonized by the guanylate cyclase inhibitor, 1H[ [1,2,4]oxadiazolo[4,3,-a]quinoxalin-1-one (ODQ, $10{\mu}M$). These results suggest that the inhibitory effects of NO donors on the mechanical and electrical activity is mainly mediated by cGMP pathway.
