  • Medium to large post structures installed along the roadside without proper protection can lead to serious vehicle damage and occupant injury at the impact. In North America and Europe, splitting systems such as slip base or breakaway device are used to reduce impacts. But the system has the risk of secondary accident when the splitted post falls down to the traffic or pedestrian. Sliding Post have been proposed as a way to solve this problem. By studying the crash test results of the 1.3ton and 0.9ton vehicle with 60 km/h and 80 km/h to a Rigidly Fixed Post (RFP) and Sliding Post (SP), danger of the conventional RFP and crashworthiness of the SP have been proven. While collision analysis only from the acceleration measured at the center of the vehicle assumes the motion of the post is the same as that of the vehicle, in this paper, by adding high speed film data to the analysis with vehicle acceleration could have separate the post motion from the vehicle motion. It gives better explanations on the movement of post and vehicle in each distinctive time step and provides basics to the crashworthy post design.

  • The synchronous stream cipher has the problem of synchronization loss by cycle slip. Synchronization loss make the state which sender and receiver can't communicate and it may make the receiving system disordered. To lessen the risk, we usually use a continuous resynchronization which achieve resynchronization at fixed timesteps by inserting synchronization pattern and session key. While we can get effectively resynchronizationby continuous resynchronization, there are some problems. In this paper, we proposed an adaptive resynchronization algorithm for cipher system using LAPB protocol. It is able to solve the problem of the continunous resynchronization. The proposed adaptive algorithm make resynchronization only in the case that the resynchronization is occurred by analyzing the address field of LAPB. It measure the receiving rate of the address field in the decesion duration. If the receiving rate is smaller than threshold value, it make resynchronization or not. By using adaptively resynchronization, it solves the problems of continunous resynchronization. When the proposed adaptive algorithm is applied to the synchronous stream cipher system which is used in X.25 packet network, it reduced the time for resynchronization by ten times. It means that 11.3% of total data for transmit is compressed.

  • The purpose of this study was to present the direction of the safety manual in the food service industry kitchen. The accident rate in food industry kitchens is around 87.2%, it meaning nearly 9 workers have accident among 10, considered to be very high. The most common accident is a knife cut wound (84.7%). And burns caused by hot water and oil (74.4%), then shown slip and falls (28.1%). The degree of fulfillment of kitchen safety awareness and safe environment varied based on gender, in which male are considered more likely to suffer from accidents than women. The level of safety perception varies between workers at different career points. Workers with 1~3 years of experience suffer the highest rate of accident, while workers with 7~10 years and more of experience are believed to be at lower risk of accident. Restaurant type did not exhibit a significant influence on accidents cases, although differences in the adoption of personal safety, even partially, were discovered, at significance of 0.01 < 0.027 < $0.05^*$. Based on these results, this paper has suggested preventive safety management validation model the food service industry based on kitchen management and incident management, and presented steps necessary.

  • The synchronous stream cipher which require absoulte clock synchronization has the problem of synchronization loss by cycle slip. Synchronization loss makes the state which sender and receiver can't communicate with each other and it may break the receiving system. To lessen the risk, we usually use a continuous resynchronization method which achieve resynchronization at fixed timesteps by inserting synchronization pattern and session key. While we can get resynchronization effectively by continuous resynchroniation, there are some problems. In this paper, we proposed an adaptive resynchronization algorithm for cipher system using HDLC protocol. It is able to solve the problem of the continuous resynchronization. The proposed adaptive algorithm make resynchronization only in the case that the resynchronization is occurred by analyzing the address field of HDLC. It measures the receiving rate of theaddress field in the decision duration. Because it make resynchronization only when the receiving rate is greateer than the threshold value, it is able to solve the problems of continuous resynchronization method. When the proposed adaptive algorithm is applied to the synchronous stream cipher system in packet netork, it has addvance the result in R_e and D_e.

  • Micropiles can be used to support additional load in extended building structures. However, their use brings about a risk of exceeding the bearing capacity of existing piles. In this study, pre-compression was applied to distribute the load of an existing building to micropiles, and an indoor loading test was performed to confirm the structural applicability of a wedge-type anchorage device designed to improve its capacity. According to the test results, the maximum strain of the anchorage device was 0.63 times that of the yield strain, and the amount of slip generated at the time of anchorage was 0.11 mm, satisfying structural standards. In addition, using MIDAS GTS, a geotechnical finite element analysis software, the effect of the size of the pre-compression, the thickness of the soil layer, and the ground conditions around the tip on the reaction force of the existing piles and micropiles were analyzed. From the numerical analysis, as the size of the pre-compression load increased, the reaction force of the existing pile decreased, resulting in a reduction rate of up to 36 %. In addition, as the soil layer increased by 5 m, the reduction rate decreased by 4 %, and when the ground condition at the tip of the micropile was weathered rock, the reduction rate increased by 14 % compared with that of weathered soil.
