효과적인 수학 그래프 저작 시스템 (Effective Graph Drawing Tool for Mathematics Education)

  • 본 논문에서는 수학 교육을 위한 실시간 그래프 저작 시스템을 제안한다. 사용자는 대략적인 스케치를 통해 의도하는 그래프를 쉽게 그릴 수 있으며 실제 수학 교육에서 필요한 부가적인 정보 역시 쉽게 포함시킬 수 있다. 이와 더불어, 본 논문에서는 복잡한 그래프를 쉽게 그리기 위해 이미 그려져 있는 그래프 중 현재 그리고 있는 그래프와 가장 유사한 그래프를 찾아서 후보로 제시하는 방법을 제안한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 웹 환경에서 컨텐츠의 내용을 시각적으로 보조하는 2D 애니메이션의 생성 인터페이스를 제안한다. 제안된 인터페이스를 이용하여, 애니메이션 생성에 대한 경험이 없는 사용자들도 움직임, 현상의 설명이나 시각적인 효과들을 친숙한 스케치방식으로, 인터렉티브하게 생성하고 공유할 수 있다. 또한, 컷아웃(Cutouts) 인터페이스 방식은 스케치 환경에서 양질의 결과들에서 생성하는데 기여하며, 기존 스케치기반 애니메이션 접근들에서 다루기 어려웠던, 이미지나 관절 객체를 간결한 방식으로 지원할 수 있게 한다.

A hybrid approach for character modeling using geometric primitives and shape-from-shading algorithm

  • Organic modeling of 3D characters is a challenging task when it comes to correctly modeling the anatomy of the human body. Most sketch based modeling tools available today for modeling organic models (humans, animals, creatures etc) are focused towards modeling base mesh models only and provide little or no support to add details to the base mesh. We propose a hybrid approach which combines geometrical primitives such as generalized cylinders and cube with Shape-from-Shading (SFS) algorithms to create plausible human character models from sketches. The results show that an artist can quickly create detailed character models from sketches by using this hybrid approach.

  • 본 논문에서는 계산이 간단하면서 효과적으로 스케치 특징을 추출할수 있는 새로운 연산자 DBAH(differ-ence between arithmetic mean and harmonic mean) 를 제안하고,임계치를 자동으로 결정하는 퍼지 임계치 추론기를 제안한다. 제안한 연산자는 국부 밝기를 고려하며,매우 어두운 영역에서의 밝기변화에서는 낮은 출력을 나타내는 장점을 가진다. 또한 제안된 퍼지 임계치 추론기는 조작자의 개입 없이도 스케치 특징점을 매우 잘 검출한다.

Development of educational software for beam loading analysis using pen-based user interfaces

  • Most engineering software tools use typical menu-based user interfaces, and they may not be suitable for learning tools because the solution processes are hidden and students can only see the results. An educational tool for simple beam analyses is developed using a pen-based user interface with a computer so students can write and sketch by hand. The geometry of beam sections is sketched, and a shape matching technique is used to recognize the sketch. Various beam loads are added by sketching gestures or writing singularity functions. Students sketch the distributions of the loadings by sketching the graphs, and they are automatically checked and the system provides aids in grading the graphs. Students receive interactive graphical feedback for better learning experiences while they are working on solving the problems.

경주시 도시경관과 그 이미지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Townscape and Image of Kyungju City)

  • The purpose of this study is to interpret the townscape of Kyungju based on the urban images captured by citizens. 58 verval interviews and 50 sketch maps were collected and analized comparing with York which was a similar old city in England. In the verbal questions, elements like tombs, historic remains, families and historic values were frequently mentioned mainly because of their social and historic meaning. But in the sketch maps, physical elements like railroad station, city hall, roundabouts and streets were more frequently appeared probably because of their visibility. As a whole, many tombs which were built long ago in and around the city were commonly mentioned in verbal questions, sketch maps and even in nicknames. As the most dominant factors, it can be compared with York Minster in York. But whereas the shopping streets in York were very attractive to the people, many streets in Kyungju were regarded as dirty and inharmonious elements in townscape. In conclusion, we can call Kyungju 'the city of tombs', but to evoke the sense of place in the city the streets should be improved and activated as the center of city life.

  • This study has designed a walking mechanism that is able to pass by a variety of environments, such as slope, obstructions, special surface in there, the mechanism suggested by Janssen has shown an ideal bridge structure made of 11 joints. V in the study, these programs are use that is m-sketch, m-designer, Janssen mechanism optimization solver for the optimum design of m-sketch, 3D component reflecting the given strip dimension is used because there is a limit in the given. As a result, a stable mechanism for walking could be implemented.

  • In this paper, the multi-leg robot is designed using Teo Jansen mechanism. The purpose of this paper is to develop unique robot, which operates efficiently in any environment. In that case, speed and accuracy are required. The indication which evaluate the value is Ground Score according to the Jansen's mechanism. To optimize the Ground Score. Genetic Algorithm (GA) in MATLAB Toolbox is used, which is numerical analytic algorithm to quickly convergence into optimum point. The Optimization of value is visualized by M-Sketch. M-Sketch was useful for simulation and evaluation of mechanic's dynamic motion. The robot's draft is produced into finished product by Edison Designer.

  • 3D 프린팅 기술의 발전을 위해서는 많은 사람들이 3D 프린팅 기술을 경험해보는 것 중요하다. 그러려면 3D 프린터와 이를 사용할 수 있는 소프트웨어가 필요하다. 시중에는 여러 가지의 3D 모델 도구가 보급되고 있다. 하지만 그 무엇도 입문자가 전문 지식 없이도 바로 사용할 수 있는 3D 모델링 도구는 없었다. 쉽다고 알려진 3D 모델링 도구인 SketchUp에서도 입문자가 사용하기엔 어렵기 때문에 우리는 3D 프린팅 입문자용 소프트웨어를 개발하였다.

Visualizing 3D form Using SketchTo3D Tool

  • Numerous studies have attempted to present converting 2D drawings to 3D. However, converting 3D shapes to exactly how a person thinks is challenging because 2D drawings include numerous variables and possibilities. This study focuses on visualizing 2D to 3D in a commonly used 3D animation software required in animation education or the 3D industry. We implemented our SketchTo3D tool to add the editing and automatic texture assigning method from the imported 2D image into the 3D software that previously had to be done manually. As a result, the SketchTo3D tool saves time to immediately visualize the composition, shape, and volume to express the 3D character, providing an opportunity to break down the barrier between 2D and 3D.
