Flexoelectricity is an interesting materials' property that is more touchable in small scales. This property beside the sandwich structures placed in the center of scientists' attention due to their extraordinary effects on the mechanical properties. Furthermore, in the passage of decades, more elaborated sandwich structures took into consideration results from using honeycomb core. This kind of structure, inspiring from honeycomb core, provides more stiffness to weight ratio, which plays a crucial role in different industries. In this paper, based on the Love-Kirchhoff's hypothesis, Hamilton's principle, modified couple stress theory and Fourier series analytical method, equations of motion for a sandwich plate containing a honeycomb core integrated by two face-sheets have derived and solved analytically. The equations of both face sheets have derived by flexoelectricity consideration. Moreover, it should be noticed that the whole structure rests on the visco-Pasternak foundation. Conducting current research provided an acceptable and throughout study based on flexoelectricity to address the effect of materials' characteristics, length-scale parameter, aspect, and thickness ratios and boundary conditions on the natural frequency of honeycomb sandwich plates. Also, based on the presented figures and tables, there is a close agreement between previous studies and recent work. Due to the high ratio of strength to weight, current model analyzing is capable of taking into account for different vehicles' manufacturing in a high range of industries.
This study carries out an empirical analysis of how workplace innovation affects employment growth. The theoretical model and hypotheses of this study are drawn from the previous research on the employment effects of innovation. I use the data on Workplace Innovation Indicators(2013-14) collected by Labor Foundation. As the regression models for this study, I adopt OLS models whose dependent variable is employment growth rate, and whose main independent variables are the adoption and the intensity(standardized values) of three innovative work practices such as TQM, employee suggestion plans and multi-skill training programs. The results of this study indicate that the adoption of workplace innovation does not have significant effects on employment growth, but that the intensity of workplace innovation has weakly positive effects on employment growth. Besides, the results of this demonstrate show that government-subsided organizational innovation consulting and training hours per capita have positive employment effects, but that wage level and prior employment size have negative ones. Finally the empirical results are outlined, and their limitations and the future direction of research on this topic are discussed.

This research aims to identify the role that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) can play in achieving the economic goals of the vision of Saudi Arabia 2030. The study relied on descriptive analysis, designing a standard model, and analyzing it using the Eviews9 program. The study also adopted the questionnaire as a tool for data collection. The study area covered Alkharj and Hawtat Bani Tamim governorates. The sample size of the study was 142 participants. The study's results confirmed the existence of a significant impact of changes in independent variables (X1, X2, X3, X4), which are (GDP, non-oil exports, number of employees, and public revenues), respectively. The dependent variable (Y) represents the number of small and medium-sized businesses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Additionally, it was found that 61.3% of small and medium-sized enterprises in the governorates of Al-Kharj and Hawtat Bani Tamim operate in the commercial sector. Most study participants concur that SMEs significantly lowered the unemployment rate and helped boost the GDP rate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The obstacles and difficulties facing the establishment of these enterprises were financial problems, marketing problems, and corporate monopoly. Furthermore, most of the small and medium l enterprises faced financing problems.
To estimate the biological reference points, suitable for fisheries management of sandfish Arctoscopus japonicas in the East Sea of Korea, we simulated the yield-per-recruit (Y/R) from age 0 to 6 (0-2,555 days). The stimulation was based on two instantaneous natural mortality conditions: size-dependent (Mt, d-1) and constant (Mcons, d-1); Subsequently, the biological reference points of the two mortality conditions was compared. Mt decreased from 0.0075 d-1 to 0.0018 d-1 depending on growth, and Mcons remained constant at 0.0011 d-1 for all ages. Our Y/R model showed that the maximum yield of Mcons was 14 times higher than that of the Mt. The length at first capture to maximize the harvest at the F0.1 points of the two natural mortality conditions was Lc,t=10.2 cm (TL) and Lc,cons=17 cm (TL). We concluded that Mt was more suitable for estimating M than Mcons; this is because Lc,t showed minimal difference from the current fishing regulations (11 cm, TL), and Mt reflected more biological characteristics than Mcons. We suggest that 10.2 cm and 0.8 as the suitable length at first capture and corresponding age, respectively for efficient fisheries management of sandfish.
This work aims to present a solution for the buckling behavior of perforated nano/microbeams with deformable boundary conditions using nonlocal strain gradient theory (NLSGT). For the first time, a solution that can provide buckling loads based on the non-local and strain gradient effects of perforated nanostructures on an elastic foundation, while taking into account both deformable and rigid boundary conditions. Stokes' transformation and Fourier series are used to realize this aim and determine the buckling loads under various boundary conditions. We employ the NLSGT to account for size-dependent effects and utilize the Winkler model to formulate the elastic foundation. The buckling behavior of the perforated nano/microbeams restrained with lateral springs at both ends is studied for various parameters such as the number of holes, the length and filling ratio of the perforated beam, the internal length, the nonlocal parameter and the dimensionless foundation parameter. Our results indicate that the number of holes and filling ratio significantly affect the buckling response of perforated nano/microbeams. Increasing the filling ratio increases buckling loads, while increasing the number of holes decreases buckling loads. The effects of the non-local and internal length parameters on the buckling behavior of the perforated nano/microbeams are also discussed. These material length parameters have opposite effects on the variation of buckling loads. This study presents an effective eigenvalue solution based on Stokes' transformation and Fourier series of the restrained nano/microbeams under the effects of elastic medium, perforation parameters, deformable boundaries and nonlocal strain gradient elasticity for the first time.

In this study, steel deck bridges are chosen as analytic model to show the structural behaviors generated by high temperature of pavement and to formulate the simplified approximate analysis of thermal effects. In general, the thermal effect is changed by the material property of pavements and environmental temperature as well as shape, size and boundary conditions of bridge. Specially, this effect is the representative initial stress problem dependent on time. The thermal effect, however, does not depend on time and thermal effect is regarded as initial load in this study. After these thermal loading is modelled as moving loads, influence lines of reactions of shoes are calculated and the successive pavement steps with arbitrary segments are determined to minimize the thermal effect of shoes by influence line.
The association between accounting earnings and the stock price of an entity is the subject that has been most heavily researched during the past 25 years in accounting literature. Researcher's common finding is that there are positive relationships between accounting earnings and stock prices. However, the explanatory power of accounting earnings which was measured by $R^2$ of regression functions used was rather low. To be connected with these low results, The prior studies propose that there will be additional information, errors in variables. This study investigates empirically determinants of earnings response coefficients(ERCs), which measure the correlation between earnings and stock prices, using earnings level / change, as the dependent variable in the return/earnings regression. Specifically, the thesis tests whether the factors such as earnings persistence, growth, systematic risk, image, information asymmetry and firm size. specially, the determinable variables of ERC are explained in detail. The image / information asymmetry variables are selected to be connected with additional information stand point, The debt / growth variables are selected to be connected with errors in variables. In this study, The sample of firms, listed in Korean Stock Exchange was drawn from the KIS-DATA and was required to meet the following criteria: (1) Annual accounting earnings were available over the 1986-1999 period on the KIS-FAS to allow computation of variables parameter; (2) sufficient return data for estimation of market model parameters were available on the KIS-SMAT month returns: (3) each firm had a fiscal year ending in December throughout the study period. Implementation of these criteria yielded a sample of 1,141 firm-year observation over the 10-year(1990-1999) period. A conventional regression specification would use stock returns(abnormal returns) as a dependent variable and accounting earnings(unexpected earnings) changes interacted with other factors as independent variables. In this study, I examined the relation between other factors and the RRC by using reverse regression. For an empirical test, eight hypotheses(including six lower-hypotheses) were tested. The results of the performed empirical analysis can be summarized as follows; The first, The relationship between persistence of earnings and ERC have significance of each by itself, this result accord with one of the prior studies. The second, The relationship between growth and ERC have not significance. The third, The relationship between image and ERC have significance of each by itself, but a forecast code doesn't present. This fact shows that image cost does not effect on market management share, is used to prevent market occupancy decrease. The fourth, The relationship between information asymmetry variable and ERC have significance of each by. The fifth, The relationship between systematic risk$(\beta)$ and ERC have not significance. The sixth, The relationship between debt ratio and ERC have significance of each by itself, but a forecast code doesn't present. This fact is judged that it is due to the effect of financial leverage effect and a tendency of interest.
Collaboration works on R&D project have many characteristics in interoranizational relationships. There are many variables on explaining the their relationships. In the previous study, I chose some relevant variables and some hypotheses. Base on service marketing theories and relationship marketing perspective I suggest 5 hypotheses. Independent variables are fairness and quality, and dependent variable is loyalty. And trust are treated as the intervening variable between the independent variables and dependent variable. To test the research model and some hypothesis empirically, I collected the data using the questionnaire. Sample size was 448, it was enough to analyze statistically. Data were analysed using the SPSS and AMOS. In the previous study, H1($fairness{\rightarrow}trust$), H2($quality{\rightarrow}trust$), H5($trust{\rightarrow}loyalty$) were accepted, but H3 and H4 were rejected. The reason H3($fairness{\rightarrow}loyalty$) and H4($quality{\rightarrow}loyalty$) were not accepted might be attributed to the fact that trust was the mediating variable between fairness and loyalty, quality and loyalty. Specific research methodologies and statistical findings from AMOS were referred in the previous study(Jeong 2018). In this study, I suggested some hypotheses on the mediating role trust between fairness and loyalty and service quality and loyalty. Using the PROCESS-macro, I found that trust was the mediating variable between fairness and loyalty as well as service quality and loyalty. This research is the complementary and extended study from previous research.
Advances in Internet technologies and the proliferation of mobile devices enabled consumers to approach a wide range of goods and services, while causing an adverse effect that they have hard time reaching their congenial items even if they devote much time to searching for them. Accordingly, businesses are using the recommender systems to provide tools for consumers to find the desired items more easily. Association Rule Mining (ARM) technology is advantageous to recommender systems in that ARM provides intuitive form of a rule with interestingness measures (support, confidence, and lift) describing the relationship between items. Given an item, its relevant items can be distinguished with the help of the measures that show the strength of relationship between items. Based on the strength, the most pertinent items can be chosen among other items and exposed to a given item's web page. However, the diversity of the measures may confuse which items are more recommendable. Given two rules, for example, one rule's support and confidence may not be concurrently superior to the other rule's. Such discrepancy of the measures in distinguishing one rule's superiority from other rules may cause difficulty in selecting proper items for recommendation. In addition, in an online environment where a web page or mobile screen can provide a limited number of recommendations that attract consumer interest, the prudent selection of items to be included in the list of recommendations is very important. The exposure of items of little interest may lead consumers to ignore the recommendations. Then, such consumers will possibly not pay attention to other forms of marketing activities. Therefore, the measures should be aligned with the probability of consumer's acceptance of recommendations. For this reason, this study proposes a model-based approach to combine those measures into one unified measure that can consistently determine the ranking of recommended items. A regression model was designed to describe how well the measures (independent variables; i.e., support, confidence, and lift) explain consumer's acceptance of recommendations (dependent variables, hit rate of recommended items). The model is intuitive to understand and easy to use in that the equation consists of the commonly used measures for ARM and can be used in the estimation of hit rates. The experiment using transaction data from one of the Korea's largest online shopping malls was conducted to show that the proposed model can improve the hit rates of recommendations. From the top of the list to 13th place, recommended items in the higher rakings from the proposed model show the higher hit rates than those from the competitive model's. The result shows that the proposed model's performance is superior to the competitive model's in online recommendation environment. In a web page, consumers are provided around ten recommendations with which the proposed model outperforms. Moreover, a mobile device cannot expose many items simultaneously due to its limited screen size. Therefore, the result shows that the newly devised recommendation technique is suitable for the mobile recommender systems. While this study has been conducted to cover the cross-selling in online shopping malls that handle merchandise, the proposed method can be expected to be applied in various situations under which association rules apply. For example, this model can be applied to medical diagnostic systems that predict candidate diseases from a patient's symptoms. To increase the efficiency of the model, additional variables will need to be considered for the elaboration of the model in future studies. For example, price can be a good candidate for an explanatory variable because it has a major impact on consumer purchase decisions. If the prices of recommended items are much higher than the items in which a consumer is interested, the consumer may hesitate to accept the recommendations.

Small-scale models have been frequently used for seismic performance tests because of limited testing facilities and economic reasons. However, there are not enough studies on similitude law for analogizing prototype structures accurately with small-scale models, although conventional similitude law based on geometry is not well consistent in the inelastic seismic behavior. When fabricating prototype and small-scale model of reinforced concrete structures by using the same material, added mass is demanded from a volumetric change and scale factor could be limited due to aggregate size. Therefore, it is desirable that different material is used for small-scale models. Thus, a modified similitude law could be derived depending on geometric scale factor, equivalent modulus ratio and ultimate strain ratio. In this study, compressive strength tests are conducted to analyze the equivalent modulus ratio of micro-concrete to normal-concrete. Then, equivalent modulus ratios are divided into multi-phase damage levels, which are basically dependent on ultimate strain level. Therefore, an algorithm adaptable to the pseudodynamic test, considering equivalent multi-phase similitude law based on seismic damage levels, is developed. Test specimens, consisted of prototype structures and 1/5 scaled models as a reinforced concrete column, were designed and fabricated based on the equivalent modulus ratios already defined. Finally quasistatic and pseudodynamic tests on the specimens are carried out using constant and variable modulus ratios, and correlation between prototype and small-scale model is investigated based on their test results. It is confirmed that the equivalent multi-phase similitude law proposed in this study could be suitable for seismic performance tests on small-scale models.
