  • In this study, Active noise controlis implemented with single channel and multi-channel adaptive algorithm in 3 dimensional reverberant enclosure sound. field, which occurrs in complicated acoustic mode. First, for the one case excited with the resonant frequency of an enclosure, a target of control and the other cases excited with band-pass filtered random noise(100~400Hz), it is implemented to control reducing interior noise of enclosure with single channel and realtime multi-channel adaptive algorithm for global noise reduction in enclosure.

  • Mice with specific modified genes are useful means of studying development and disease. The CRISPR/Cas9 system is a very powerful and effective tool for generating genetically modified mice in a simple and fast manner. To generate human IgG light kappa constant knock-in mice, we tested by microinjection of a mixture of Cas9 protein, single-guide RNA and target homologous recombinant donor DNA into zygotes. We found that the injection of 10 ng/μL of Cas9 protein and crRNA/tracrRNA, rather than single guide RNA, induced the production of knock-in mice more effectively. Thus, our study provides valuable information that will help to improve the production of knock-in mice and contribute the successful generation of humanized Ab-producing mice in Korea.

  • In this paper, we proposed the obstacle avoidance system using a single camera image and LM(Levenberg-Marquart) neural network fuzzy controller. According to a robot technology adapt to various fields of industry and public, the robot has to move using self-navigation and obstacle avoidance algorithms. When the robot moves to target point, obstacle avoidance is must-have technology. So in this paper, we present the algorithm that avoidance method based on fuzzy controller by sensing data and image information from a camera and using the LM neural network to minimize the moving error. And then to verify the system performance of the simulation test.

  • This paper presents a new approach regarding thermal characteristics associated with a design of the high efficiency motor. The adjoint variable design sensitivity equations for both electromagnetics with respect to permeability and heat transfer considering conduction and convection terms are derived using the continuum method. For multi-objective topology optimization, FEA is validated in terms of electromagnetics and heat transfer by experiments. The proposed method is applied to a single-phase induction motor of the scroll compressor in order to control the direction of heat flow by maximizing/minimizing the temperature of the target area while maintaining the efficiency.

  • Up to the present, the operating time has been studied on only a single aircraft attacking a single target or multiple targets under enemy threats. This study is to determine optimal operating time and appropriate size of aircrafts attacking multiple targets. Measures of mission effectiveness is defined through derivation of the probability of the various events associated with operating. By using these measures, the expected benefit of operating and the expected cost of operating are generated as a function of time. To formulate operating time determination model, the expected gain of operating is defined as the difference between the expected benefit of operating and the expected cost of operating. The model can be used to determine optimal operating time which maximizes the expected gain of operating, and can be used as the basis for determining the appropriate size of aircrafts.

  • Ti-silicide was deposited by sputtering the composite target($TiSi_{2.6}$) on single-Si wafers and oxide on them. The heat treatment temperatures by rapid thermal annealing(RTA) have been varied in the range of $600-850^{\circ}C$ for 20seconds. It was not until RTA temperature was $800^{\circ}C$ that a stable $TiSi_2$ was formed, and the value of resistivity of that phase was $27~29{\mu}{\Omega}-cm$, which seems a little higher than that formed by the reactive method. The result of x-ray diffraction peals showed that till $750^{\circ}C$, C49 $TiSi_2$ phase was dominant, but at $800^{\circ}C$, at last, the phase was transformed into a stable C54 $TiSi_2$ phase. And, the result of x-ray photoeletron spectroscopy(XPS) measurements showed that the composition ratio of Ti and Si was 2 1 in the case of specimens treated at $800^{\circ}C$, The surface roughness of $TiSi_2$, which was condidered a weak point, was improved to a superior value of $17{\pm}1nm$, therefore increasing the possibility of applying $TiSi_2$ to semiconductor devices.

  • A study on the RCS of a self-manufactured active transponder, which has a manually adjustable RCS, for SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) external calibration and image analysis at X-band is presented in this paper. The RCS of the active transponder was comparably analyzed using the lab-test and the COSMO-SkyMed SAR system, and also precisely analyzed the difference between the adjusted and estimated RCSs. A maximum RCS of the designed and manufactured active transponder is 60 dBsm. The active transponders with 60 dBsm and the adjusted RCS of 40 dBsm were measured using the single target calibration technique(STCT) and 2D target scanning technique(2DTST). And the extracted RCS using power-spill integration technique in a SAR image was compared with the measured RCS of active transponder. The comparison results show that the measured and extracted RCSs are 59.7 dBsm, 40.2 dBsm and 57.3 dBsm, 39.2 dBsm, respectively.

  • This paper presents the FORTRAN program for expected damage by surface-to-surface weapons. One of the methods can be used to determine the effectiveness of general purpose (GP) bombs and cluster weapons against single unitary targets, linear targets, area targets, and areas of unitary target elements, The effectiveness index is in terms of fractional damage ($F_D$) or the number of volleys ($N_V$).

  • In this paper we propose new algorithms of path planning and obstacle avoidance for an autonomous mobile robot with vision system. Distance variation is included in path planning to approach the target point and avoid obstacles well. The fuzzy rules are also applied to both trajectory planning and obstacle avoidance to improve the autonomy of mobile robot. It is shown by computer simulation that the proposed algorithm is working well.

  • A single span-to-depth ratio function is proposed for control of deflection in one-way concrete construction. The equation can be applied to one-way slabs, beams, and flat plates. Effects of cracking, time-dependent deformation, boundary conditions, applied loading, and target deflection-to-span ratio are taken into account.
