토끼 단일 심방근 세포에서 Na-Ca 교환전류의 특성에 관한 연구 (The Properties of Na-Ca Exchange Current in Single Atrial Cells of ,The Rabbit)

  • In single atrial cells isolated from the rabbit the properties of inward current of Na-Ca exchange were investigated using the whole cell voltage clamp technique. The current was recorded during repolarization following brief 2 ms depolarizing pulse to +40 mV from a holding potential of * 70 mV. Followings are the results obtained: 1. When stimulated every 30 seconds, the inward currents were activated and reached peak values 6-12 ms after the beginning of depolarizing pulse. The mean current amplitude was 342 pA/cell. 2. The current decayed spontaneously from the peak activation and the time course of the relaxation showed two different phases fast and slow phase. The time constants were 10-18 ms and 60-140 ms, respectively. 3. The recovery of inward current was tested by paired pulse of various intervals. The peak current recovered exponentially with time constant of 140 ms and 1 p M isoprenaline accelerated the recovery process. 4. Relaxation time course was also affected by pulse interval and time constant of the fast phase was reduced almost linearly according to the decrease of pulse interval between 30 sec and 1 sec. 5. The peak activation was increased in magnitude by long prepulse stimulation, 5 p M Bay K, 1 p M isoprenaline or internal and external application of c-AMP. 6. The relaxation time constant of the fast phase was prolonged by 5 p M Bay K or c-AMP, and shortened by isoprenaline. However the time course of the slow relaxation phase was not so much changed. From the above results, it could be concluded that increase of the calcium current by Bay K or c-AMP results in the potentiation and prolongation of intracellular calcium transient, and the facilitation of Ca uptake by SR might be a mechanism of shortening the time constant of current relaxation by short interval stimulation or isoprenaline.

렌즈형 광섬유를 이용하여 펄스형 반도체 레이저 Beam Shaping 및 증폭 기술 연구 (Simulation of Luminance and Uniformity of LGP According to the Laser Scattering Pattern)

  • 타원형 모양의 모드 형태를 갖는 펄스형 레이저 다이오드 (laser diode)의 펄스 형태를 유지하면서 단일 모드 및 Gaussian 형태로 광 모드 변환을 유도하고 광출력을 증폭할 수 있는 기술에 대해서 연구하였다. 실험에서 사용한 펼스형 레이저 다이오드의 구경이 가로는 $300{\mu}m$이며, 세로는 $2{\mu}m$이고 출력은 $1.1mW/cm^2$이다. 렌즈형 광섬유를 사용하여 광결합을 유도하여 단일 모드 및 Gaussian 형태의 출력으로 변환시켰다. 그러나, 다중모드의 펄스형 레이저 다이오드의 출력을 단일모드 렌즈형 광섬유에 결합시키면 출력이 급격하게 감소한다. 따라서 master oscillator power amplifier (MOPA) 기반의 광증폭 기술을 이용하여 레이저 다이오드의 광출력을 증폭시켰다. 증폭 후에도 펄스 성질은 그대로 유지되었고, MOPA구조를 지나 증폭된 광 출력은 $29mW/cm^2$로 측정되었다.

  • Ca movements during the late plateau phase in rabbit atrium implicate Na-Ca exchange. In single atrial cells isolated from the rabbit the properties of the inward current of Na-Ca exchange were investigated using the whole cell voltage clamp technique. The inward currents were recorded during repolarization following brief 2 ms depolarizing pulse to +40 mV from a holding potential of -70 mV. From the above results, it could be concluded that increase of the calcium current potentiates and prolongs intracellular calcium transients, while shortening of the timecourse by isoprenaline or short interval stimulations might be due to the facilitation of Ca uptake by SR.

고차 조화 모드록킹된 반도체-광섬유 레이저 구성과 출력 광펄스의 압축 (Harmonically mode-locked semiconductor-fiber ring laser and the output pulse compression)

  • 광반도체 증폭기를 이용하여 $1.5\mu\textrm{m}$파장 영역에서 발전하는 조화 모드 록킹된 10GHz 고리형 반도체-광섬유 레이저를 구현하였다. 레이저 펄스폭은 13~18ps이고, 파장 선폭은 0.4~0.6nm이며, 양으로 주파수 처핑되었다. 2km 길이의 표준단일 모드 광섬우를 이용하여 4dBm의 평균 출력을 갖는 레이저 펄스를 광섬유의 군분산 보상에 의해 펄스폭을 최대 6.8ps까지 압축시켰다.

  • The design of square pulse generators using pulse forming lines (PFLs) made up of identical L and C, was reviewed in this study. 14 different types of PFLs were analyzed utilizing PSpice simulation results. These PFLs were characterized with respect to their distinct features: the number of forming lines (single or double), the circuit relationship between PFL and load (parallel or series), the types of energy storage (voltage source, current source or a combination of both). The characteristic impedances, output parameters such as pulse width, voltage and current magnitudes, and powers were derived for each scheme. The merits and demerits of the output parameters were also included.

  • Friction welding has emerged as a reliable process for high-production commercial applications with significant economic and technical advantages. But nondestructive test in friction weld was not clearly developed. Therefore the experimental verification is necessary in order to understand the characteristcs of the pulse echo effects according to various change in welding conditions. This paper presents an attempt to determine the relationship between the varios welding conditions and the coefficients of reflection using the ultrasonic pulse echo method in dissibilar metals friction weld. The new approach of calculating the coefficients of reflection based on measured amplitudes of the echoes is applied in this paper. These coefficients provides a single quantitative measurement which involves both acoustic energy reflected at the welded interface as well as transmitted across the interface. As a result, it was known that the quantitave relationship between welding conditions and the coefficients of reflection using the ultrasonic pulse echo exists in dissimilar metals friction weld.

  • Supersonic and hypersonic aircrafts must pass wide range of speed to reach high speed region. But for existing engines the most efficient operating speed ranges are decided according to their flying speed, so an engine which mixes several engines like TRJ (Turbo Ramjet) and ARJ (Air Turbo Ramjet) has been planed. This mixed type engine has inefficiency that more than two engines must be installed simultaneously, but the pulse detonation engine (PDE) that uses detonation wave has a strong point that it can operate in all speed range with single engine. This paper deals with the simulation of the pulse detonation engine which uses hydrogen peroxide $(H_2O_2)$ mono propellant. Hydrogen peroxide is low-cost propellant, and it is reacted without oxidizer. Comparison between $H_2-O_2$ mixture with $H_2O_2$ mono propellant about thrust, pressure, temperature and velocity shows that $H_2O_2$ is a very useful propellant.

  • In this study, a piezoelectric inkjet nozzle with a rectangular shaped channel has been developed, and the characteristics of droplet formation have been investigated according to the variation of pulse widths in bipolar waveform. The channel of the nozzle was fabricated transparently by a precision machining technique. A tantalum membrane which was attached to a piezoelectric material covers the channel. By applying two types of bipolar waveforms to the piezoelectric actuators, droplet formation through the nozzle was monitored by a CCD camera. For the variety of the first and second pulse widths in the bipolar waveforms, the regimes of single and double droplet formations are presented. The change of droplet velocity which depends on the pulse width and the type of waveform is also discussed.

  • A pulse with modulation(PWM) that keeps a constant angle of dwell and adjust duty ratio is a good method to control a speed of SRM. And a method of one pulse control is proper a operation on range of high speed in SRM for a good energy efficiency. Because PWM method is more safety than one pulse method, conversion of those is best choice according the speed range. So, some algorithm is need for smooth conversion of the mode of control. This paper presents a factor of conversion that proper the conversion of control mode between PWM and one pulse method This factor is from estimation of torque and proper at the variable range of conversion and show the better conversion characteristic than constant factor of conversion.

Performance Improvement of Flashlamp-Pumped Ti: sapphire Laser

  • Experimental study is performed on flashlamp-pumped Ti: sapphire lasers with single, double, and four-partial-ellipse-pump cavities aiming at improving the performance of the lasers. The output energy of 604 mJ per pulse with a width of 25 $\mu$s at a total laser efficiency of 0.13% is achieved in the laser pumped by a light pulse of 45$\mu$s without a fluorescent converter The laser output energy versus its Ti: sappy ire rod length, pumping-light pulse duration, and electrical input energy are discussed with or without using a fluorescent converter. The result shows that much more output energy is obtained il a longer Ti: sapphire-rod laser pumped by a shorter light pulse when its output coupler has an optimized transmittance. In addition, an enhancement of output energy by a factor of 7 is achieved. in the laser using a fluorescent converter LD490.
