  • In this paper, we designed a low-area 32-bit PF (Poly-fuse) OTP IP, a non-volatile memory that stores data required for analog circuit trimming and calibration. Since one OTP cell is constructed using two PFs in one select transistor, a 1cell-2bit multibit PF OTP cell that can program 2bits of data is proposed. The bitcell size of the proposed 1cell-2bit PF OTP cell is 1/2 of 12.69㎛ × 3.48㎛ (=44.161㎛2), reducing the cell area by 33% compared to that of the existing PF OTP cell. In addition, in this paper, a new 1 row × 32 column cell array circuit and core circuit (WL driving circuit, BL driving circuit, BL switch circuit, and DL sense amplifier circuit) are proposed to meet the operation of the proposed multbit cell. The layout size of the 32bit OTP IP using the proposed multibit cell is 238.47㎛ × 156.52㎛ (=0.0373㎛2) is reduced by about 33% compared that of the existing 32bit PF OTP IP using a single bitcell, which is 386.87㎛ × 144.87㎛ (=0.056㎛2). The 32-bit PF OTP IP, designed with 10 years of data retention time in mind, is designed with a minimum programmed PF sensing resistance of 10.5㏀ in the detection read mode and of 5.3 ㏀ in the read mode, respectively, as a result of post-layout simulation of the test chip.

  • This paper reports an investigation of overvoltages caused by ferroresonance in the distribution system, which consists of a bank of open-delta single-phase voltage transformers. The high voltage sides of the voltage transformer are connected to the distribution system via three single-phase fuse cutouts. Due to the saturation characteristic of the transformer cores, ferroresonance can occur in the condition that the transformer is energized or deenergized with single-phase switching operation of the fuse cutouts. The simulation tool based on EMTP is used to investigate the overvoltages at the high side of voltage transformer. Bifurcation diagrams are used to present the ferroresonance behavior in ranges of different operating conditions. The simulation results are in good agreement with the results from the experiment of 22 kV voltage transformers. The mitigation technique with additional damping resistors in the secondary windings of the voltage transformers will be introduced. Brief discussion will be made on the physical phenomena related to the overvoltage and the damage of voltage transformer.

  • In this paper, we experimentally investigate the fiber fuse in single-mode 2-kW-class high-power fiber amplifiers, depending on the cooling method at the splicing point. We measured the temperature of the splicing point between the pump-signal combiner and gain fiber as a function of laser output power. The temperature of the splicing point increased from 20 to 32℃ with a slope of 0.01℃/W, up to 1.2 kW of laser output power. At higher powers the temperature of the splicing point increased dramatically, with a slope of 0.08℃/W. After that, the fiber amplifier was destroyed during operation at 1.96 kW of output power by fiber fuse. The bullet shape, a common feature of fiber fuse, was observed in the damaged passive fiber core of the pump-signal combiner. Later, we adopted an improved water-cooled cold plate to increase the cooling efficiency at the splicing point, and investigated the laser output power. The temperature at the splicing point was 35.8℃ with a temperature-rise slope of 0.007℃/W at the maximum output power of 2.05 kW. The beam quality M2 was measured to be less than 1.3, and the output beam's profile was a stable Gaussian shape. Finally, neither fiber fuse nor mode instability was observed in the fiber amplifier at the maximum output power of 2.05 kW.

  • In recent years there has been increasing international interest about designing structures that cost less to repair after they have been subjected to strong earthquakes. Considering this interest, an innovative repairable fuse device has been developed for dissipative beam-to-column connections in moment-resisting composite steel and concrete frames. The seismic performance of the device was assessed through an extensive experimental program comprising ten cyclic and two monotonic tests. These tests were conducted on a single beam-to-column specimen with different fuse devices for each test. The devices varied in terms of the chosen geometric and mechanical parameters. The tests showed that the devices were able to concentrate plasticity and to dissipate large amounts of energy through non-linear behavior. Numerical models were developed with Abaqus and simplified design models are also proposed.

  • As a part of embryological studies of Panax ginseng, megasporangium and megagametophyte formations were investigated. Ovule is found to be auatropous. Small-sized nucellus is surrounded by thick layered single integument. As the embryo sac develops, the nucellus along with some parts of the inner epidermis of integument disintegrates and completely disappers at flowering stage. Embryo sac takes the type of typical Polygonum although antipodal cells disappear and polar nuclei fuse to form secondary nucleus before fertilization. Mature embryo sac consists of egg apparatus and large secondary nucleus lying adjacent to the egg. Besides the normal ovule, tiny incomplete ovule develops near the base of style. Frequently two normal ovules are formed in a single locule. Chromosome number counted is PMC is n=24.

  • The ability to efficiently and robustly recover accurate 3D terrain models from sets of stereoscopic images is important to many civilian and military applications. To develop an effective and practical terrain modeling system, we propose a new multi-image stereo method which detect unreliable elevations in DEM(Digital Elevation Map), and fuse several DEMs from multiple sources into an accurate and reliable results. This paper focuses on two key factors for generating robust 3D terrain models: the ability to detect unreliable elevation estimates and the ability to fuse the reliable elevations into a single optimal terrain model. We apply the self-consistency methodology to reconstruct accurate DEM from multi-image and show the method is more effective than the conventional stereo image 3D reconstruction method. Using photo-realistic simulator, four synthetic image are generated from ground truth DEM and orthoimage to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed method quantitatively.

  • In order to improve the accuracy of small target detection more effectively, this paper proposes an improved single shot detector (SSD) target detection and recognition method based on cspdarknet53, which introduces lightweight ECA attention mechanism and Feature Pyramid Network (FPN). First, the original SSD backbone network is replaced with cspdarknet53 to enhance the learning ability of the network. Then, a lightweight ECA attention mechanism is added to the basic convolution block to optimize the network. Finally, FPN is used to gradually fuse the multi-scale feature maps used for detection in the SSD from the deep to the shallow layers of the network to improve the positioning accuracy and classification accuracy of the network. Experiments show that the proposed target detection algorithm has better detection accuracy, and it improves the detection accuracy especially for small targets.

  • The fine structure of spermatozoa of Pungtungia herzi was examined with scanning and transmission electron microscopies. The spermatozoa of p. herzi are approximately 37.4 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in length and a relatively simple cell with a spherical nucleus, a short midpiece and a tail. The acrosome is not present as in most teleost fishes. The ultrastructure of spermatozoa represents typical characteristics of cyprinid spermatozoa including the lateral insertion of flagellum, the organization of centriolar complex in shallow nuclear fossa, and the occurrence and asymmetrical arrangement of mitochondria. In the nuclear envelope and mitochondrion, however there were some morphological differences for their ultrastructure. The nuclear envelope is severely undulated and the shallow nuclear fossa contains two centrioles which are at the angle of some 130$^{\circ}$ each other. The most significant feature can be observed with the mitochondrion; five or more mitochondria, which are shown in primary spermatocyte, fuse to form a single one in the mature spermatozoon. The mitochondrial aspect is different from that of other cyprinid spermatozoa, where their mitochondria have a conventional aspect and never fuse to form a mitochondrial derivative. In terms of sperm evolution the fused mitochondria are regarded as the apomorphic character in comparison with the separate mitochondria. The single mitochondrion is not reported in cyprinid spermatozoon except the case of Rhodeus.

  • We present measurements of interstellar CO absorption lines in the spectra of 7 early-type stars that were observed with the FUSE(Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explore.) Among 54 early-type target stars in the Galactic disk and halo observed with the BBFS(Berkeley Extreme and Far-ultraviolet Spectrometer), we choose 7 program stars (HD 37903, HD 97991, HD 149881, HD 156110, HD 164794, HD 214080 and HD 219188) which have only a single velocity component in the high-resolution optical measurements, in order to avoid line blending. To analyze the CO molecule, we select the E-X (0-0) band at $1076{\AA}$, which has a large oscillate. strength and is not blended with other interstellar absorption lines. We detect the CO absorption lines in three (HD 37903, HD 164794, and HD 214080) out of seven targets, and derive CO column densities for those targets. We also estimated the CO to $H_2$ ratios toward the three stars, based on the previously estimated $H_2$ column densities.
