"나는 시기한다 고로 존재한다": 시기심의 정당성 - <위험한 독신녀>와 <여교사> - ("I Envy, therefore I Am": Justification of Envy - and )

  • 본 논문은 90년대 미국영화 <위험한 독신녀>(Single White Female, 1992)와 최근 개봉한 한국 영화 <여교사>(2017)를 중심으로 시기심을 단순히 여성들 간의 갈등관계의 표출이 아니라 성별과 상관없는 인간의 자연스러운 자기보존적 반응의 한 형태로 해석하고자 한다. 사회적, 문화적 전통에 따라 시기심을 단순히 여성의 감정으로만 분류해왔지만, 그것은 단순히 특정 집단의 전유물이기보다는 인간의 타고난 공통적인 감정이다. 특히 신자유주의 시대의 경쟁사회에서 타자와의 비교에서 비롯한 시기심은 그 부정적 측면만을 인식하여 긍정적인 측면에 대해서는 간과해온 것이 사실이다. <위험한 독신녀>에서 헤디의 앨리 따라 하기는 이상화에서 나타나는 동일시와는 같지 않으며 그녀의 모방은 앨리의 정체성을 변형시키고자하는 공격적인 자기주장의 형태이다. <여교사>에서의 여주인공의 시기심 또한 상대방과의 차이를 주장하는 사회적 불평등에 대한 자기보존적 반응이었다. 따라서 이들 영화에서 나타난 여성들 간의 시기심에는 자신의 정체성을 지키기 위한 저항적이고 비판적인 힘이 내포되어 있다고 할 수 있다. 결국 시기심이 폭력적인 결과로 이행되지 않도록 하기 위해서는 사회적으로나 개인적으로 억압된 시기심을 있는 그대로 인정하는 것이 필요하다.

파이프 골조 온실의 구조 실태 및 안전성 검토(농업시설) (Field Survey and Structural Safety Analysis of Pipe Framed Greenhouses)

  • An investigation and structural safety analysis was conducted to get the basic data for establishing maintenance strategy of pipe framed greenhouses. The number of greenhouses investigated was 108 in total. Most multi-span greenhouses had narrower width and lower height than the standard 1-2W greenhouse, and most of single-span greenhouses were tunnel type. In multi-span greenhouses, the size and interval of frameworks such as rafter, purline, column, and cross beam were mostly suitable, but frameworks of single-span greenhouses were mostly insufficient.

단근 소구치의 근관계 형태에 따른 치근단 부위의 근관 형태 (The apical root canal shape according to the root canal system of premolars with single root)

  • Materials and methods: Sixty extracted premolars were assigned to three groups according to the root canal system (Weine's classification; type I, II and III) of 20 teeth each using radiographic examination. The root tip was cut horizontally 1 mm from the anatomical apex and the apical cross-section was visualized using microscope at x50 magnification and photographed. Minimum and maximum apical root canal diameter of each tooth was measured and classified into three types by canal morphology (round, oval and flattened shape). Statistical analysis was performed to compare the apical root canal diameter and morphology according to the root canal system. Results: In apical root canal morphology at cross-sectional view, the most common shape was round in type I, flat in type II, and oval in type III. In apical root canal diameters at cross-sectional view, there was a significant difference between the minimum and maximum diameter in all types (p<0.05). The maximum diameter was 0.331 mm in type I, 0.519 mm in type II, and 0.310 mm in type III. There was a significant difference among type I, III and type II (p<0.05). Conclusion: The morphology and diameter of apical root canal was different according to the root canal system. Therefore, clinicians should consider the apical file size in view of the apical root canal shape according to the root canal system.

해저철도터널(목포-제주간) 화재시 정량적 위험도 평가기법에 의한 피난연결통로 적정간격산정에 관한 연구 (The study on interval calculation of cross passage in undersea tunnel by quantitative risk assesment method)

  • 현재 목포-제주간 해저터널은 타당성 검토를 위한 기본계획 중에 있으며, 노선의 길이가 108 km인 고속여객 전용선으로 단면형태는 유로터널과 같은 서비스터널을 설치한 단선쌍굴터널로 검토되고 있다. 또한 교통량은 10량 1편성의 열차가 일일 76편/편도 운행하는 것으로 계획하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 터널의 피난연결통로의 적정 간격을 정량적 위험도 평가기법에 의해서 검토하는 것을 목표로 정량적 위험도 평가기법을 정립하였다. 또한 터널의 단면형태를 복선터널(Type 3), 쌍굴터널(Type 1) 및 복선터널을 격벽으로 분리하는 형태의 터널(Type 2)을 대상으로 단면형태별로 적정 피난연결통로 간격을 산정하였다. 본 연구결과, Type 2의 단면이 대피안전확보에 가장 효과적이며, 현행 국내 사회적 위험도 평가기준을 만족하기 위해서는 단면형태별로 350 m (Type 1), 400 m (Type 2), 1,500 m (Type 3)의 피난연결통로 간격이 요구되는 것으로 나타나고 있다.

A comparison of single dose efficacy of Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae bacterin in swine farms with different serological patterns of PRRSV and PCV2

  • This study was to evaluate the efficacy of single dose Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (M. hyo)-vaccination in the swine farms which had different serological patterns of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) and porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2). A minimum of 240 pigs from each farm was applied, allocating M. hyo vaccinated and control groups. The PRRSV and PCV2 infections were analyzed by serological method (commercial ELISA kit). After administrating pigs a single dose of M. hyo vaccine or control saline at 3 weeks of age, serum antibodies to M. hyo, PRRSV and PCV2 were monitored at 4, 10, 16 and 22 weeks of age. Mortality, weight changes, feed conversion ratio (FCR) and lung score were also evaluated. A single-dose vaccination of M. hyo bacterin was efficacious to reduce mycoplasmal lung lesions and induce good humoral immune response. However, FCR was improved only in one of the three farms where showed seronegative status to both PRRSV and PCV2 in the period from 4 to 16 weeks of age. These results might imply that M. hyo vaccine alone could not overcome the PRRSV and PCV2 infection-associated wasting in the field condition. Therefore, the control of PRRSV and PCV2 should be considered to obtain the better effects of M. hyo vaccination.

지중송전 시스템의 병행지선 설치 방안 연구 (Methodology of Parallel Ground Conductor Installation on Underground Transmission System)

  • SVL is installed at underground transmission system to protect cables and insulation joint-box from overvoltages caused by lightning, switching, and line-to-ground fault. Domestic underground power system adopts cross bonding type to reduce the induced voltage at sheath, but single-point bonding is required depending the system installation configuration. SVL can be easily broken by overvoltages induced at joint-box because single-point bonding has uneffective system structure to extract fault current. ANSI/IEEE recommends Parallel Ground Continuity Conductor(PGCC) to prevent SVL breakdown. In this paper, EMTP simulation is performed to analyze effects on SVL under PGCC installation when single-line-to-ground fault occurs. The result shows that PGCC and short single-point bonding distance can reduce overvoltages at SVL.

Stabilities of cable-stiffened cylindrical single-layer latticed shells

  • A cable-stiffened cylindrical single-layer latticed shell that is reinforced by cable-stiffened system has superior stability behaviour compared with the ordinary cylindrical latticed shell. The layouts of cable-stiffened system are flexible in this structural system, and different layouts contribute different stiffness to the structure. However, the existed few research primarily focused on the simplest type of cable layouts, in which the grids of the latticed shell are diagonally stiffened by prestressed cables in-plane. This current work examines the stability behaviour of the cable-stiffened cylindrical latticed shells with two different types of cable layouts using nonlinear finite element analysis. A parametric study on the effect of cross-sectional of the cables, pretension in cables, joint stiffness, initial imperfections, load distributions and boundary conditions is presented. The findings are useful for the reference of the designer in using this type of structural system.

Identification of QTLs Affecting Physical Traits of Cooked Rice

  • This study was conducted to ascertain the chromosomal locations and effect of quantitative trait loci (QTL) associated with the physical traits of rice (Oryza sativa L.) eating quality. One hundred sixty four recombinant inbred lines (MGRILs) of F$_{11}$ were derived from the cross between Milyang 23 (Tongil type) and Gihobyeo (japonica type). They were evaluated for six physical traits of cooked rice. Transgressive segregation was observed for all examined traits. Significant QTL were detected (LOD$\geq$2.0) in three traits, including single QTL for adhesiveness, gumminess, and chewiness of cooked rice, respectively. Phenotypic variation explained by each QTL ranged from 6.3% to 14.6%. However, no significant QTL was detected for hardness, cohesiveness, and elasticity of cooked rice. Pleiotropic effects of single QTL on different traits are observed.d.

  • Generally, diaphragms are installed in the box girder to prevent or decrease the distortion of tile cross section. In engineering practice, diaphragms are spaced in 5m intervals without reasonable basis. ANd the usual diaphragm type is solid-plate type. It is considered to be noneconomical design to the almost design engineers. In this paper, the parametric study was performed to present the design proposal about the diaphragm stiffness and spacing only in tire single cell box girder. For that, the distortional warping normal stress, bending normal stress and transverse bending normal stress were analyzed using finite element program 'SMB' for the accurate structural analysis.

  • There are many theoretical investigations to analyze higher order mode of reactive type single expansion chambers with offset inlet/outlet locations. But the conventional method has the restriction that the ratio between the area of inlet(or outlet) pipe and that of chamber must be natural number. In the paper, a new method was suggested to apply the Kim's method to silencer with circular cross-section. Not only the offset location but also the magnitude of cross-section area of inlet/outlet pipe can be considered by the suggested method. The predictions by this new method also compared with those by the finite element method and Munjal's method in order to verify the accuracy of the suggested method presented here.
