3D graphics processor architecture based on multistreaming (다중스트리밍을 이용한 3차원 그래픽 프로세서 구조)

  • In this paper, we propose multiple instruction issuable multi-streaming as a processor architecture for 3D graphics processor. Multistreaming can eliminate inteferences within concurrently executing instructions inthe pipelined processor to allow enough parallelism for parallel processing. Through cycle level simulation study, we show that the proposed architecture outperforms a conventional RISC processor, MIPS R3000 by three times with reasonable resource overheads. Multiple instruction issuable multistreaming processor will be a bood architecture for instruction processor when a large number of threads are guaranteed.

  • A digital hardware architecture for artificial neural network with learning capability is described in this paper. It is a modified hardware architecture known as HANNIBAL(Hardware Architecture for Neural Networks Implementing Back propagation Algorithm Learning). For implementing an efficient neural network hardware, we analyzed various type of multiplier which is major function block of neuro-processor cell. With this result, we design a efficient digital neural network hardware using serial/parallel multiplier, and test the operation. We also analyze the hardware efficiency with logic level simulation.   • To accomplish various and complex tasks by intelligent robots, improvement is needed not only in mechanical system architecture but also in control system architecture. Hybrid control architecture has been suggested as a mutually complementing architecture of the weak points of a deliberative and a reactive control. This paper addresses a control architecture of robots, and a behavior representation methodology. The suggested control architecture consists of three layers of deliberative, sequencing, and reactive as hybrid control architecture. Multi-layer behavior model is employed to represent desired tasks. 3D simulation will be conducted to verify the applicability of suggested control architecture and behavior representation method.

  • Recently, as the continuously increasing of the one-person households, builders were focusing on a built-in furniture development for efficiency. Through the dead space of the space can be reduced. Also, Condensation that occurs in a built-in furnitures installation space may result in different results depending on the room's direction, floor, finish, adjacent room effect, occupant's lifestyle. In this background, it can be considered in terms of functional aspect and morphological aspect by using WUFI2D simulation system. As a result, the tendency of occurrence of condensation was examined by comparing the water content and the growth potential of fungus graph which came from WUFI2D. Results of this study are as followings: Built-in furniture, both top & bottom open, is more stable to condensation than the built-in furniture with the top or bottom open. Also, Among from the top floor built-in furniture to the bottom of it, the bottom one is more stable to condensation.

  • Present study is concerned with the simulation of plasticity models for the cyclic stressstrain behavior of aluminum alloy AC4C-T6 that can be used for primary materials of LNG cargo pump. Material model of cyclic hardening and plasticity for aluminum alloy AC4C-T6 was investigated through experiments and numerical simulations. Monotonic tensile and cyclic tension-compression test under symmetric load cycles was performed at both room temperature and cryogenic temperature of $-165^{\circ}C$. Based on the experimental data plastic hardening models were evaluated for isotropic/kinematic/combined hardening. FEA (Finite Element Analysis) models which describe the cyclic stress-strain relationship were evaluated for the simulation of plasticity. An appropriate hardening model is proposed comparing the results of FEA with those of experiments.

  • Recently many research are going on in the field of application of Laser and Laser-Arc hybrid welding for superstructures such as ship-structures, transport vehicles etc. Therefore in this study an optimized welding condition and numerical simulation for hybrid welding by using previous numerical analysis which is used to calculate the heat source for Laser and Laser-Arc hybrid welding has been analyzed. For this purpose, fundamental welding phenomena of hybrid process(Laser+MIG) are determined based on the experiments. In order to calculate temperature and residual stress distribution in Laser and Laser-Arc hybrid welds, finite element heat source model is developed on the basis of experiment results and characteristics of temperature and residual stress distribution in Laser and Laser-Arc hybrid welds are understood from the result of simulation and found comparable to the experimental values.

  • In this paper, the wave run.up on a vertical cylinder is presented. Various cross sections of a cylinder were simulated using the panel method for various wave periods. Two.dimensional model tests were performed in a wave flume. The simulation results are compared with the test results. The simulation is based on the linear diffraction theory.

  • A system architecture design relying only on the experience of its designer varies in quality in line with the designer's personal experience and knowledge ability. Likewise, a wrong estimation of hardware capacity ends up in waste of resources. In practice, a range of post-hoc monitoring tools are in operation, without providing any method for estimating and reflecting the performance at an early stage of architecture design. Provided capacity requirement is estimated in advance with simulation at the stage of design, the system capacity ends up in waste of resources. Provided capacity requirement is estimated in advance with simulation at the stage of design, the system performance requirement can be met with a minimal cost while the waste of resources can be reduced to a great extent. In this context, the present study develops a pilot simulation model for hardware architecture design and then verifies its validity in an experiment. If the error rate falls within a permissible range in the experiment, the simulation model may be considered to reflect well the characteristics of real-life information system architecture.
