A Study on the Group Routing Algorithm in DHT-based Peer-to-Peer System (DHT 기반 P2P 시스템을 위한 그룹 라우팅 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • As the P2P System is a distributed system that shares resources of nodes that participate in the system, all the nodes serve as a role of server and client. Currently, although systematic, structured P2P systems such as Chord, Pastry, and Tapestry were suggested based on the distributed hash table, these systems are limited to $log_2N$ for performance efficiency. For this enhanced performance efficiency limited, the article herein suggests group routing algorithm. The suggested algorithm is a node-to-group routing algorithm which divides circular address space into groups and uses a concept of pointer representing each group, which is an algorithm where routing is performed based on pointer. To evaluate algorithm performance, a comparative analysis was conducted on average hops, routing table size, and delayed transmission for chord and routing, a signature algorithm in P2P systems. Therefore, enhanced performance is verified for comparative items from the simulation results.

A Malware Detection Method using Analysis of Malicious Script Patterns (악성 스크립트 패턴 분석을 통한 악성코드 탐지 기법)

  • Recently, with the development of the Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud computing technologies, security threats have increased as malicious codes infect IoT devices, and new malware spreads ransomware to cloud servers. In this study, we propose a threat-detection technique that checks obfuscated script patterns to compensate for the shortcomings of conventional signature-based and behavior-based detection methods. Proposed is a malicious code-detection technique that is based on malicious script-pattern analysis that can detect zero-day attacks while maintaining the existing detection rate by registering and checking derived distribution patterns after analyzing the types of malicious scripts distributed through websites. To verify the performance of the proposed technique, a prototype system was developed to collect a total of 390 malicious websites and experiment with 10 major malicious script-distribution patterns derived from analysis. The technique showed an average detection rate of about 86% of all items, while maintaining the existing detection speed based on the detection rule and also detecting zero-day attacks.

An Observational Multi-Center Study Protocol for Distribution of Pattern Identification and Clinical Index in Parkinson's Disease (파킨슨병 변증 유형 및 지표 분포에 대한 전향적 다기관 관찰연구 프로토콜)

  • Objectives: This study investigated the pattern identification (PI) and clinical index of Parkinson's disease (PD) for personalized diagnosis and treatment. Methods: This prospective observational multi-center study recruited 100 patients diagnosed with PD from two Korean medicine hospitals. To cluster new subtypes of PD, items on a PI questionnaire (heat and cold, deficiency and excess, visceral PI) were evaluated along with pulse and tongue analysis. Gait analysis was performed and blood and feces molecular signature changes were assessed to explore biomarkers for new subtypes. In addition, unified PD rating scale II and III scores and the European quality of life 5-dimension questionnaire were assessed. Results: The clinical index obtained in this study analyzed the frequency statistics and hierarchical clustering analysis to classify new subtypes based on PI. Moreover, the biomarkers and current status of herbal medicine treatment were analyzed using the new subtypes. The results provide comprehensive data to investigate new subtypes and subtype-based biomarkers for the personalized diagnosis and treatment of PD patients. Ethical approval was obtained from the medical ethics committees of the two Korean medicine hospitals. All amendments to the research protocol were submitted and approved. Conclusions: An objective and standardized diagnostic tool is needed for the personalized treatment of PD by traditional Korean medicine. Therefore, we developed a clinical index as the basis for the PI clinical evaluation of PD. A Development of the Korean Version of the constitutions in Ayurveda Questionnaire (한국형 아유르베다(Āyurveda) 체질유형 검사지의 개발을 위한 기초연구)

  • This study investigated the development of a Korean version of the Ayurvedic constitution questionnaire and sought to verify its validity and reliability. Each study subject completed a self-administered questionnaire consisting of 63 questions. The Ayurvedic constitutions were placed into 7 categories. The results from 271 subjects revealed that the internal consistency reliability (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$) in the 41 item biometric signature part of the questionnaire was 0.757. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for the 22 item psychological part was 0.616, whereas the Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for the entire 63 items was 0.840. Taken together, the results indicate that the Korean version of the Ayurvedic questionnaire was valid. Within the questionnaire, the fourth item about body and the ninth item about psychological showed item-total correlations with negative total values, thereby indicating inconsistent (less reliable) responses. The remaining 61 items had a 0.864 degree of reliability. The results for the pure Vata Pitta and Kapha body types showed a high level of internal consistency reliability, presumably because those participants were of a pure constitution type. The Kappa factor for inter-item coincidence between the judgment of Ayurvedic constitution experts and the judgment derived from the written test scores was 0.619, thereby indicating questionnaire validity. The results of this study may be useful in further development of a Korean version of the Ayurveda constitution questionnaire.
