We proposed Binary ASK system for 1Giga bit Modem. The Binary ASK system has a high speed shutter transmitter and no IF receiver only by symbol synchronization. The advantage of proposed system is that circuitry is very simple without IF process. The disadvantage of proposed system are that line spectrum occurs unordinary interference to other channels, and enhancement to 4-level system is impossible due to its large SNR degradation.
In the blade grinding process, Blade image is captured. It is captured in the environment with vibration, using monochrome CCD camera with high speed electronic shutter. The image is preprocessed using LoG filter and zero crossing. We used Hough transformation to detect straight lines from the preprocessed image. From the equations of detected lines, we calculated width between lines caused by grinders. This paper proposes automatic measurement of blade width to automate the process control of blade grinding line.

In this paper, the coaxial monitoring system to capture image of weld pool was developed in laser-arc hybrid welding. In order to obtain the reliable image, green laser was used as a illumination system and measuring components such as band pass filter, ND (Neutral Density) filter and shutter speed was designed and optimized. Using this monitoring system, weld pool images were captured according to laser power, welding speed, welding current and interspace between laser and arc through the experiment. ANOVA (Analysis of Variation) was carried out to identify the influence of process variables on bead widths extracted from captured images of monitoring system. Welding speed and current were major factor to affect weld pool.
The deformation of polymers under high loading-rate conditions will be a governing factor to be considered in their impact-resistant applications such as protective shields and transparent armor. In this paper, the deformation and fracture behaviors of polymeric materials such as PE, PC and PEEK have been investigated by Taylor Impact tests. Taylor cylinder impact tests and high speed photography are introduced to examine the deformation behavior under dynamic loading condition. 20 mm air gun was used to perform the impact experiments. Cylindrical projectiles have been impacted onto a hardened steel anvil at a velocity ranging from 100 to $350\;ms^{-1}.$ Along the barrel line, a photo-sensor which measures the speed of the projectile, four digital cameras which has shutter speed of 1/917,000sec and a rigid anvil were set up. After impact experiments, the shapes of projectiles and images taken using high speed cameras were analysed. Depending on materials adopted, they showed a variety in deformation and fracture behaviors.
The purpose of this study was to suggest the proper shaft and head fitting methods of the golf club to increase the flight distance of the golf ball. Rotations per minute of the golf ball(RPM), ratio of Ball speed to club head speed(T-Ratio) and launch angle right after impact(LA), which are directly related to ball flight distance, were measured using Spectra with shutter speed of 1/1000sec at the constant head speed of 95mph which was controlled by robot golf swing machine. In order to investigate the effect of club shaft to the 3 selected variables, 10 shafts were used to make ten test clubs with one controlled club head which is the most commonly used by golf players. To measure the effect of the club head to the 3 selected variables, 6 golf club heads which are most commonly used by golfers were selected to make 6 test clubs with a controlled shaft which is one of the best known by players. The shafts and the heads were identified by statistical analysis to increase or decrease the RPM, T-ratio and LA. A proper fitting method of the selected shafts and the club head was suggested to increase the ball flight distance in golf.
This paper explains the effects of the weak signal of a rotating-type electric field mill sensor fabricated for measuring the intensity of the electric field generated by high-voltage direct current (HVDC) power transmission lines. The fabricated field mill consists of two isolated electrode vanes, a motor driver, and a ground part. The sensor plate is exposed to and shielded from the electric field by means of a rotary shutter consisting of a motor-driven mechanically complementary rotor/stator pair. When the uncharged sensor plate is exposed to an electric field, it becomes charged. The rotating electrode consists of several conductive vanes and is connected to the ground part, so that it is shielded. Determining the appropriate design variables such as the speed of the vane, its shape, and the distance between the two electrodes, is essential for ensuring optimal performance. By varying the speed, the weak signal characteristics which is used to signal processing and calibration experiment are quite different. Each weak signal pattern was analyzed along with the output voltage characteristics, in order to be able to determine the intensity of the electric field generated by HVDC power transmission lines with accuracy.
Minimization of processing time in two-photon stereolithography (TPS) has been one of important issues. Generally, a voxel scanning method (VSM) has been used in TPS because the method is very profitable for the stable fabrication irrespective of jittering and response time of scanning equipments such as a stage and a galvano-scanner. However, supplementary processing time due to the on/off control of a shutter for the generation of each voxel is required inevitably in VSM; by this reason, much processing time takes to fabricate largescale micropatterns and three-dimensional patterns. In this work, a continuous scanning method (CSM), generating patterns by movement of beam focus with a constant speed, is proposed for the improvements of scanning speed and precision in TPS. Some line patterns are fabricated by each scanning method to demonstrate the usefulness of CSM with viewpoints of scanning speed and precision.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the kinetic energy of putter head and ball movements during the process of impact. Highly skilled 5 golfers(less than 1 handicap) participated in this study and the target distance was 3 m. Movements of ball and putter head were recorded with 2 VHS video cameras(60 Hz, 1/500 s shutter speed). Small control object($18.5{\times}18.5{\times}78.5\;cm$) was used in this sdtuldy. Analyzing the process of impact, putter was digitized before 0.0835 s and after 0.0835 s of impact. Ball was digitized 0.1336 s after impact. The results showed that the maximum speed was appeared at Impact and prolonged for a while. Contact point of the club head was within 0.7 cm to the z axis. After contacting the club head, the ball was moved above the ground level(slide) and returned to the ground with sliding and rolling. After contacting the ground, the speed of ball was relied on the surface of the ground. During impact, 70% of kinetic energy of club head has been transferred to the ball.
