In this study, to investigate shrinkage and cracking behavior of 120MPa UHSC, free and restrained drying shrinkage test were performed. Three strength levels(50MPa, 80MPa, 120MPa) were used and the effect of mineral admixtures(fly ash, slag) on free and restrained shrinkage was investigated. From comparing the result of pin -penetration test with the result of ring test, Time-Zero was determined as initial set. Shrinkage test results show that autogenous shrinkage of UHSC was much higher than that of HSC, VHSC and fly ash delayed cracking age in UHSC by decreasing autogenous shrinkage. Additional free concrete rings(with restraint removed) were also tested to check the influence of the geometry of the specimens on free shrinkage. And then the relationship between free shrinkage and restrained shrinkage was investigated.
Drying shrinkage of concrete occurs due to the loss of moisture and thus, it is controlled by moisture diffusion process. On the other hand, the shrinkage causes cracking of concrete and affects its moisture diffusion properties. Therefore, moisture diffusion and drying shrinkage are two coupled processes and their interactive effect is important for the durability of concrete structures. In this paper, the two material parameters in the moisture diffusion equation, i.e., the moisture capacity and humidity diffusivity, are modified by two different methods to include the effect of drying shrinkage on the moisture diffusion. The effect of drying shrinkage on the humidity diffusivity is introduced by the scalar damage parameter. The effect of drying shrinkage on the moisture capacity is evaluated by an analytical model based on non-equilibrium thermodynamics and minimum potential energy principle for a two-phase composite. The mechanical part of drying shrinkage is modeled as an elastoplastic damage problem. The coupled problem of moisture diffusion and drying shrinkage is solved using a finite element method. The present model can predict that the drying shrinkage accelerates the moisture diffusion in concrete, and in turn, the accelerated drying process increases the shrinkage strain. The coupling effects are demonstrated by a numerical example.

In this study, 150MPa ultra-high-strength concrete was manufactured, and its performance was reviewed. As technically meaningful autogenous shrinkage reportedly occurs at a W/B ratio of 40% or less, although it occurs in all concrete regardless of the W/B ratio, the effects of the use of expansive admixture and shrinkage reducer, or of the friction and restraint of forms that may result in the effective reduction of autogenous shrinkage, were reviewed. As a result, considering the flow and strength characteristics, it was found that the slump flow time was shorter with expansive admixture, and shortest with shrinkage reducer. All specimens with $30kg/m^3$ expansive admixture showed high strength at early material age. Their strength decreased due to the expansion cracks when there was excessive use of expansive admixture, and the use of shrinkage reducer did not influence the change in the strength according to the material age. The expansive admixture had a shrinkage reduction effect of 80%, while the shrinkage reducer had a shrinkage reduction effect of 30%, indicating that the expansive admixture had a stronger effect. It seems that mixing the two will have a synergistic effect. The shrinkage reduction rate was highest when the W/B ratio was 20%. The form suppressed the expansion and shrinkage at the early period, and the demolding time did not significantly influence the shrinkage. The results of the study showed that the excessive addition of expansive admixture leads to expansion cracks, and the expansive admixture and shrinkage reducer have the highest shrinkage reduction effect when they are mixed.

Water binder ratio combine high-performance concrete shrinkage of less than 0.4 to determine the transformation to a total shrinkage of water to move outside and internal consumption of moisture due to drying shrinkage and autogenous shrinkage, and then, the relative humidity changes and strain to be approached by surface physics describe the relationship between self-desiccation and autogenous shrinkage was set. To verify the self-desiccation in the humidity shrinkage and humidity measurements performed, and the research model, Tazawa, CEB-FIP model than to let the measure and the most similar results in this study based on self-desiccation model, autogenous shrinkage didn't represent the linear shrinkage by the drying shrinkage of the external moving but exponential relationships, unlike with the nature and rapid in the early age properly describes the attributes in shrinkage could see. After this research to move moisture and to reflect the shrinkage model, temperature, moisture transfer, strain analysis by multi-physics model is very similar to the results of mock-up specimen measurements performed for this research, the value measured by the internal consumption of moisture, therefore self-desiccation and a multi-physics model considering autogenous shrinkage might be relevant.
In this study, volumes of shrinkage and porosity of A356.2 alloys during casting were analyzed as a function of melt temperature, pouring diameter, mold temperature, and Sr content. The temperature of the melt barely affected the shrinkage and porosity formation. The pouring diameter determined the pouring rate, and it was proportional to the shrinkage, yet no relationships with the density of porosity were observed. When the mold was heated at $400^{\circ}C$, shrinkage and porosity in the alloy increased above the one in the mold without heating. However, the mold without heating experienced interior shrinkage and the porosity was mainly distributed near interior shrinkage. The addition of Sr to the melt resulted in more shrinkage and less porosity.

Shrinkage of injection molded parts is different form operational conditions of injection molding such as injection temperature, injection pressure and mold temperature, and mold design such as gate size. It is also various for different resins which have crystalline structure or not. In this study part shrinkage was investigated for various operational condition and resins; PBT for crystalline polymer, and PC and PMMA for amorphous polymer was used in experiment. Crystalline polymer shows higher part shrinkage by about three times than amorphous polymer. Part shrinkage increased as injection temperature and mold temperature increased and injection pressure decreased. Part shrinkage decreased as gate size increased since the pressure delivery is mush easier for large gate size. Part shrinkage according to the gate location was that the position in the part with close to the gate showed large shrinkage and this phenomenon might be occurred by residual stress.

This Study discusses the properties of drying shrinkage of concrete slab with W/B, water content, fiber and anti-shrinkage agent. According to results, drying shrinkage is reduced with decrease of water content and W/B. Also, compared with plain concrete, drying shrinkage is reduced by using of fiber, anti-shrinkage agent and adding ratio of anti - shrinkage agent. Therefore, in the range of workability if water content and W/B are reduced and using of fiber and anti-shrinkage agent are performed properly, crack by drying shrinkage can be prevented effectively.

Cracking of repair material due to restraint of shrinkage could hinder the intended extension of serviceability of repaired concrete structure. The availability of model to predict shrinkage stress under restraint condition will be useful to assess whether repair material with particular deformation properties is resistance to cracking or not. The accuracy in the prediction will depend upon reliability of the model, input parameters, testing methods used to characterize the input parameters, etc. This paper reviews a variety of models to predict shrinkage stress in patch repair system. Effect of creep and composite action to release shrinkage stress in the patch repair system are quantified and discussed. Accuracy of the models is examined by comparing predicted and measured shrinkage stress. Simplified model to estimate shrinkage stress is proposed which requires only shrinkage property of repair material as an input parameter.

The heating system of korea apartment house is called Ondol. The surface finishing mortar of this floor system typically used the cement based mortar, where the surface finishing mortar easily appears the crack. To order to crack control, the cement that added expansive additive used to reducing dry-shrinkage. For the surface finishing mortar, the types of shrinkage is known as plastic shrinkage, dry-shrinkage and autogenous This experimental study is to investigate the difference on dry-shrinkage of the cement that added expansive additives and OPC. The test method is varied the ration of water/cement (W/C) and the ratio of sand/cement(S/C). For OPC, The increase of the ratio of S/C is reduced dry-shirnkage but for the cement that added expansive additives, the increase of the ratio of S/C is augmented dry-shrinkage For OPC, The increase of the ratio of W/C is augmented dry-shrinkage but for the cement that added expensive, the increased of the ratio of W/C is reduced dry-shrinkage.

This paper investigates the shrinkage behavior of Ultra High Strength(UHSC) having three water-to-cementitious material ratio, 0.20, 0.16, 0.12. All of mixtures have same design compressive strength. Free shrinkage test for autogenous and drying shrinkage using $100{\times}100{\times}400$ prismatic specimen was conducted. On all mixture, Effects of fly ash and blast-furnace slag on each shrinkage test results were also investigated. The largest portion of autogenous shrinkage was observed in UHSC12 (w/b=0.12) and the measured strain was as high as 80% of the total drying shrinkage strain. The autogenous shrinkage of UHSC decreased as the amount of fly ash increased as demonstrated in the literature. However, the results of the effect of blast-furnace slag on autogenous shrinkage were somewhat different from previous researches.
