The Effective Third Circulation Plan Based on Elevator and Escalator Users Surveys in Mixed-Use Buildings (복합건축의 수직동선 이용자별 효율적인 제3동선의 설정)

  • The purpose of the study is to survey the effective methodology of composition and connection for the third pedestrian routes in mixed-use building by case studies. The study is performed as follows: First of all, pedestrian routes are classified into malling route, evacuation route, and the Third route. Secondly, case studies are conducted based on the classification. Thirdly, it is investigated about the composition and connection of the malling and the Third pedestrian route. The investigation is focused on gate, path, central area, vertical circulation(EV and escalator) and the four circulation elements. Finally, the effective methodology is extracted for setting the Third route in mixed-use buildings. The conclusion of the study is as follows: The enhancement of consistency and connection between the main route and the Third route is important for providing convenient paths especially to users who needs shortcut, EV/ES users. Additionally, the connections between EV and gate, between shortcut and EV/ES should be increased to enable users choosing their path as needed.

In the Space Launch Vehicle field, the development of Practical satellite type Launch Vehicle (Korea Space Launch Vehicle II) has progressed to the stage of proprietary development, and in the field of Satellite development, they also have a great deal of competitiveness. This study will be a shortcut to rediscovering our potential and looking for breakthroughs by reviewing and re-examining the effects of past Space development.

  • 본 논문은 MPLS 망과 MPOA 망을 ATM을 이용하여 심리스 연결이 가능한 연동 방안을 제시한다. MPOA의 Shortcut VC와 MPLS의 레이블을 이용한 LSP가 IP 룩업 지연을 최소화하고 심리스 연결을 가능하게 하였지만, 이들을 연동하기 위해서는 연동 노드의 IP 룩업이 필요하므로 종단간의 심리스 연결을 위한 연동 방안이 필요하다. MPLS 망과 MPOA 망의 심리스 연동을 위해 치들의 연동 기능을 이용한 연동 방안과 함께 MPLS의 레이블 값과 ATM VC의 VPI/VCI를 이용하여 LIB에 연동기능을 구성한 심리스 연동 방안들을 제시하고 비교 분석한다.

  • The SECS Ⅰ and Ⅱ Protocol has been widely used for the TFT LCD and semiconductor industry. This paper shows how the SECS protocol is implemented for data communications between the Host (CAM) and the TFT LCD equipments. In addition, this study introduces a way to apply the SECS protocol to the manufacturing systems control. It provides better throughput in terms of production and faster control of the automated TFT LCD manufacturing system by way of shortcut and distribution of control and data communications. The SECS protocol is successfully used for the control of the real TFT LCD manufacturing system.

Optimal Operation Condition of Livestock Wastewater Treatment Using Shortcut Biological Nitrogen Removal Process (단축질소제거 공정을 이용한 가축분뇨의 적정 처리조건 연구)

  • The feasibility of applying the shortcut nitrogen removal process to treat livestock wastewater on individual farms was examined, and appropriate operating parameters were established. As a result,, it was determined that the nitrification reaction was carried out under 550 mg/L of ammonium nitrogen concentration, but it was less effective under conditions of high ammonia concentration. Consequently, it was confirmed that a partial injection of inflow water was necessary to minimize the effects of ammonia toxicity. Following the sequential batch reactor (SBR) operation results, it was difficult to achieve the effluent quality standard without an external carbon source. Also, selection of the appropriate hydraulic retention time was critical for the optimal SBR operation. Following the livestock farm application, with external carbon source injecting, the total nitrogen concentration in the effluent was 85.1 mg/L. This result revealed that the standard could be accomplished through a single treatment on individual livestock farms. The ratio of nitrite nitrogen to ammonia nitrogen in the effluent was verified to be suitable for implementing the anammox process with a 10 days of hydraulic retention time. This study demonstrated the potential applicability of process in the future. However, in order to apply to livestock farms, managing variations in wastewater load across individual farms and addressing reduced nitrogen oxidation efficiency during the winter season are crucial.

Innovative Technology of Landfill Stabilization Combining Leachate Recirculation with Shortcut Biological Nitrogen Removal Technology (침출수 재순환과 생물학적 단축질소제거공정을 병합한 매립지 조기안정화 기술 연구)

  • A leachate containing an elevated concentration of organic and inorganic compounds has the potential to contaminate adjacent soils and groundwater as well as downgradient areas of the watershed. Moreover high-strength ammonium concentrations in leachate can be toxic to aquatic ecological systems as well as consuming dissolved oxygen, due to ammonium oxidation, and thereby causing eutrophication of the watershed. In response to these concerns landfill stabilization and leachate treatment are required to reduce contaminant loading sand minimize effects on the environment. Compared with other treatment technologies, leachate recirculation technology is most effective for the pre-treatment of leachate and the acceleration of waste stabilization processes in a landfill. However, leachate recirculation that accelerates the decomposition of readily degradable organic matter might also be generating high-strength ammonium in the leachate. Since most landfill leachate having high concentrations of nitrogen also contain insufficient quantities of the organic carbon required for complete denitrification, we combined a shortcut biological nitrogen removal (SBNR) technology in order to solve the problem associated with the inability to denitrify the oxidized ammonium due to the lack of carbon sources. The accumulation of nitrite was successfully achieved at a 0.8 ratio of $NO_2^{-}-N/NO_x-N$ in an on-site reactor of the sequencing batch reactor (SBR) type that had operated for six hours in an aeration phase. The $NO_x$-N ratio in leachate produced following SBR treatment was reduced in the landfill and the denitrification mechanism is implied sulfur-based autotrophic denitrification and/or heterotrophic denitrification. The combined leachate recirculation with SBNR proved an effective technology for landfill stabilization and nitrogen removal in leachate.

Flow-Based Admission Control Algorithm in the DiffServ-Aware ATM-Based MPLS Network

  • This paper proposes a flow-based admission control algorithm through an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) based Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network for multiple service class environments of Integrated Service (IntServ) and Differentiated Service (DiffServ). We propose the Integrated Packet Scheduler to accommodate IntServ and Best Effort traffic through the DiffServ-aware MPLS core network. The numerical results of the proposed algorithm achieve reliable delay-bounded Quality of Service (QoS) performance and reduce the blocking probability of high priority service in the DiffServ model. We show the performance behaviors of IntServ traffic negotiated by end users when their packets are delivered through the DiffServ-aware MPLS core network. We also show that ATM shortcut connections are well tuned with guaranteed QoS service. We validate the proposed method by numerical analysis of its performance in such areas as throughput, end-to-end delay and path utilization.

  • 최근 PCM과 같은 비휘발성 메모리의 집적도의 급속한 향상과 함께 향후 고속의 바이트 단위의 접근이 가능한 스토리지 시스템이 등장할 것으로 예측되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 PCM 기반의 스토리지 시스템을 위한 저널링 파일시스템을 설계하였다. 하드디스크나 플래시 메모리와는 다른 PCM의 특성을 고려하여 현재의 저널링 파일시스템과 동일한 파일시스템 일관성을 제공하되 더 나은 성능을 보여주는 저널링 파일시스템을 설계하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통한 실험 결과는 제안된 저널링 파일시스템이 ext3 등의 기존 저널링 파일시스템보다 평균 59%의 쓰기량을 감소시켰음을 보여주었다.

Design and Analysis of the Block Cipher Using Extended Feistel Structure (확장된 Feistel 구조를 이용한 Block Cipher의 설계와 분석)

  • In this paper, we designed a 128-bit block cipher, Lambda, which has 16-round extended Feistel structure and analyzed its secureness by the differential cryptanalysis and linear cryptanalysis. We could have full diffusion effect from the two rounds of the Lambda. Because of the strong diffusion effect of the algorithm, we could get a 8-round differential characteristic with probability $2^{-192}$ and a linear characteristic with probability $2^{-128}$. For the Lambda with 128-bit key, there is no shortcut attack, which is more efficient than the exhaustive key search, for more than 8 rounds of the algorithm.
