에어로졸 공정에 의한 Multiwall carbon nanotube/Graphene 복합체 제조 및 슈퍼커패시터 특성평가 (Synthesis of Multiwall Carbon Nanotube/Graphene Composite by Aerosol Process and Its Characterization for Supercapacitors)

  • A multiwall carbon nanotube (MWCNT)/graphene (GR) composite was synthesized for an enhanced supercapacitor. Aerosol spray pyrolysis (ASP) was employed to synthesize the MWCNT/GR composites using a colloidal mixture of MWCNT and graphene oxide (GO). The effect of the weight ratio of the MWCNT/GO on the particle properties including the morphology and layered structure were investigated. The morphology of MWCNT/GR composites was generally the shape of a crumpled paper ball, and the average composite size was about $5{\mu}m$. MWCNT were uniformly dispersed in GR sheets and the MWCNT not only increase the basal spacing but also bridge the defects for electron transfer between GR sheets. Thus, it was increasing electrolyte/electrode contact area and facilitating transportation of electrolyte ion and electron in the electrode. Electrochemical data demonstrate that the MWCNT/GR (weight ratio=0.1) composite possesses a specific capacitance of 192 F/g at 0.1 A/g and good rate capability (88% capacity retention at 4 A/g) using two-electrode testing system.

The Positional Effect of Solute Functional Group among Positional Isomers of Phenylpropanol in Hydroxyl Group-Solvent Specific Interactions in Methanol/Water Mixed Solvents Monitored by HPLC

  • We have evaluated the hydroxyl group-solvent specific interactions by using a Lichrosorb RP18 stationary phase and by measuring the retention data of carefully selected solutes in 50/50, 60/40, 70/30, 80/20, and 90/10(v/v%) methanol/water eluents at 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 ${^{\circ}C}$. The selected solutes are 3 positional isomers of phenylpropanol, that is, 1-phenyl-1-propanol, 1-phenyl-2-propanol, and 3-phenyl-1-propanol. There exist clear discrepancies in ${\Delta}H^o$ (solute transfer enthalpy from the mobile to the stationary phase) and $T{\Delta}S^o$ (solute transfer entropy) among positional isomers. The difference in ${\Delta}H^o$ and $T{\Delta}S^o$ between secondary alcohols (1-phenyl-1-propanol and 1-phenyl-2-propanol)is negligible compared to the difference between the primary alcohol (1-phenyl-3-propanol) and secondary alcohols. The $T{\Delta}S^o$ values of 3-phenyl-1-propanol are close to those of butylbenzene while the $T{\Delta}S^o$ values of secondary alcohols are close to those of propylbenzene. The difference in ${\Delta}{\Delta}H^o$ (specific solute-mobile phase interaction enthalpy) between the primary alcohol and the secondary alcohol decreases with increase of methanol content in the mobile phase. A unique observation is an extremum for 1-phenyl-3-propanol in the plot of $T{\Delta}{\Delta}S^o$ vs. methanol volume %. The positive sign of $T{\Delta}{\Delta}S^o$ of 3-phenyl-1-propanol implies that the entropy of 3-phenyl-1-propanol is greater than that of the hypothetical alkylbenzene (the same size and shape as phenylpropanol) in the mobile phase.

Improvement of Degradation Characteristics in a Large, Racetrack-shaped 2G HTS Coil for MW-class Rotating Machines

  • Degradation due to delamination occurs frequently in the high temperature superconductors (HTS) coil of rotating machines made with 2nd generation (2G) HTS wire, and the authors have observed other similar cases. Since an HTS field coil for a rotating machine is required to have stable current control and maintain a steady state, co-winding techniques for insulation material and epoxy resin for shape retention and heat transfer improvement are applied during coil fabrication. However, the most important limiting factor of this technique is delamination, which is known to be caused by the difference in thermal expansion between the epoxy resin and 2G HTS wire. Therefore, in this study, the experimental results of mixing the ratio of epoxy resin and alumina ($Al_2O3$) filler were applied to the fabrication of small and large test coils to solve the problem of degradation. For the verification of this scheme, eight prototypes of single pancake coils with different shapes were fabricated. They showed good results. The energization and operation maintenance tests of the stacked coils were carried out under liquid neon conditions similar to the operation temperature of an MW-class rotating machine. In conclusion, it was confirmed that the alumina powder mixed with epoxy resin in an appropriate ratio is an effective solution of de-lamination problem of 2G HTS coil.

  • In-situ $CaCO_3$ formation onto recycled wood pulp was studied to improve optical properties and ash attachment to the fiber furnish in papermaking. We controlled initial reaction temperature of in-situ $CaCO_3$ formation method from $30^{\circ}C$ to $50^{\circ}C$. It was found that the attachment of newly formed $CaCO_3$ to recycled fibers, old newspaper (ONP) in this case, was stronger than that of ground calcium carbonate (GCC, mean dia. $2.4{\mu}m$) addition case, but was not much different among those formed at different temperature. Morphologies of newly formed $CaCO_3$ were changed according to the reaction temperature. More aragonite shape was seen at higher temperature. In-situ $CaCO_3$ formation increased brightness and lowered ERIC value of ONP sheet greatly at the same level of ash contents when compared to GCC addition method, but gave equivalent ERIC and brightness when compared to those of the precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) addition method. However, tensile strength of the handsheets of the in-situ $CaCO_3$ formation method were much greater than those of the PCC addition method.

동해안 하천 하구부의 하천재해 방지를 위한 수리특성 분석 (Hydraulic Characteristic Analysis for Prevention of River Disaster at Estuary in the Eastern Coast of Korea)

  • 동해안 하천의 하구는 토사퇴적이 현저하게 진행되는 곳으로 하천과 바다의 소통이 단절되는 하구폐색현상이 발생하는 곳이 많다. 하구폐색은 수역을 정체시켜 수질악화 및 홍수시 안전도를 위협하는 등 하천 환경적으로 위험지역을 형성한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 하구폐색에 의해 방재기능이 상실 된 하구를 대상으로, 안정하도를 유지하고 홍수량을 안전하게 소통시킬 수 있도록 하구사주 부근의 유심부를 기준으로 유로의 위치와 폭 등을 변화하여 가장 안정된 흐름을 형성할 수 있는 유로의 형태를 찾고 그 결과를 검토하기 위해 2차원 수리학적 해석 모형인 SRH-2D(ver 3.0) 모형을 이용하여 수치모의를 수행하였다. 모의결과 유심부 주변 하구사주의 하상고를 전체적으로 동일하게 낮춰 주는 방법이 수리특성의 변동에 민감하지 않고 유수를 원활히 소통시키는데 가장 효과적인 방법으로 나타났다.

상악골 결손부 환자에서 3D printing을 이용한 closed hollow bulb obturator 수복 증례 (Prosthetic rehabilitation for a maxillectomy patient using 3D printing assisted closed hollow bulb obturator: a case report)

  • 본 증례는 상악골 결손이 있는 무치악 환자에서 3D printing을 이용해 closed hollow bulb obturator로 수복한 증례이다. Magic $denture^{TM}$ 시스템(Cozahn, Seoul, Korea)에서 제공하는 트레이와 인상법을 이용하여 구내 인상을 채득하였고, 시적의치상에서 수직고경과 안모, 유지력 등을 확인하였다. 환자가 요구하는 바와 오차를 시적의치에서 수정한 후 이를 반영하였다. 의치의 무게를 줄이고 균일한 두께를 부여하기 위해 상악골 결손부위를 closed hollow bulb로 디자인하여 최종의치상을 프린팅하였다. 치료 후 심미적 및 기능적으로 만족스러운 결과를 얻었기에 이를 보고하는 바이다.

수열 합성법으로 제조된 구형의 실리콘/탄소 음극소재의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Performances of Spherical Silicon/Carbon Anode Materials Prepared by Hydrothermal Synthesis)

  • 본 연구에서는 수열 합성법을 이용하여 나노 실리콘이 포함된 구형의 탄소 복합체를 합성하고, 석유계 피치로 코팅하여 제조된 음극 소재의 전기화학 특성을 조사하였다. 수크로스의 몰 농도를 변화시켜 수열합성한 후, 유기 용매로 THF를 사용하여 피치로 코팅된 음극 복합소재를 제조하였다. 제조된 음극 소재는 SEM, EDS, XRD 및 TGA를 사용하여 물리적 특성을 분석하였으며, 1.0 M LiPF6 (EC : DMC : EMC = 1 : 1 : 1 vol%) 전해액에서 사이클, 율속, 순환전압전류 및 임피던스 테스트를 통해 리튬이차전지의 전기화학 성능을 조사하였다. 1.5 M의 수크로스와 피치를 사용하여 제조된 실리콘/탄소 소재는 구형 형태를 보였으며, 1756 mAh/g의 높은 초기 용량, 50 사이클 후 82 %의 용량 유지율 및 2 C/0.1 C에서 81%의 우수한 속도 특성을 확인할 수 있었다.

소형 SCR 시스템 내 유동 제어를 위한 Baffle의 구조 결정에 관한 수치해석적 연구 (Numerical Study on the Baffle Structure for Determining the Flow Characteristic in Small Scale SCR System)

  • 소형 SCR 시스템(처리용량 25,300 Sm3/hr, 내부용적 $2.4{\times}2.4{\times}3.1\;m^3$)의 촉매성능개선을 목적으로 배기가스 유동제어에 관한 수치 해석적 연구가 수행되었다. 유동제어를 위해 여러 형태의 배플이 제안되었으며 CFD 해석을 통해 최적의 배플형상을 결정하였다. 유동 균일화를 위해서 설치된 배플의 유무에 따라 본 연구의 SCR 시스템에서의 촉매층 전단 5 mm에서 유속에 대한 RMS(%) 값은 약 6.2%의 차이를 보였다. 수치해석에 의해 결정된 격자 형상의 배플에서 사용된 배플판의 두께범위가 0~8 mm에서는 RMS(%) 값의 변화가 없었으나 두께 10 mm가 되면 2.5% 가량 수치가 증가하여 유동에 영향을 주었다. 격자 형상의 배플은 원뿔대 형상, 믹서 형상 배플에 비해 상대적으로 높은 유동안정도를 나타내며 형상에 따라 RMS(%) 값은 10% 이상의 차이를 나타내었다.

CSP 를 이용한 정밀부착형 국부의치에 관한 임상적 연구 (A Clinical Study on CSP Attachment Partial Denture)

  • The technology of precision attachments has developed at such a pace that from a very few T-shaped attachments and bar attachments from the years 1915 to 1935 since removable bridge utilizing a T-shaped intracoronal attachment was constructed by Dr. Herman E.S. Chayes in 1906. There are now more than 120 models of the most diversified designs, ready made or laboratory fashioned. In 1971, 126 attachments were listed and classified by Mensor in his E M Attachment Selector. This selector consists of five charts giving specifications as to type, vertical dimensions, application, type of resilience, size of movement, type of retention and type of material and alloy. Thus the E M Attachment Selector is a useful guide for dentists to choose the attachment for his patients. But dentists should apply the attachment in each patient's case according to an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan. This paper is a case report of removable partial dentures utilizing CSP, PD and Bar attachment on a patient who needed full mouth reconstruction. Patient has right first, second molar and left first molar on the upper arch and also left first molar, first premolar and right canine on the lower arch. (Fig. 5)All remaining teeth are relatively healthy in their supporting tissues. On upper arch, ring shape CSP attachment was designed on left first molar and modified ring shape CSP attachment was designed on right first and second molar as the direct retainer of the removable partial denture. Full palatal coverage was used as the major connector in this case. (Fig. 23) On lower arch, author first splinted with a fixed bridge between left first molar and second premolar and a splint bar between left second premolar and right canine. (Fig. 11) A lower removable partial denture in which was designed with an Aker clasp on the left first molar and a PD attachment on .the right canine was constructed. (Fig. 17) This denture could get additional support from anterior splint bar. After both removable partial dentures were delivered to the patient (Fig. 26), author evaluated function of the dentures and supporting structures of the abutment teeth by means of clinical and X-ray examinations for eighteen months. According to the examination data author came to the conclusion that the prognosis of this case was excellent.

디지털 방식을 이용한 기존 국소의치 맞춤 보철 제작과 심미적인 인공치 수리 증례 (Fabrication of surveyed crown and repairing the artificial teeth for existing removable partial denture using digital technology: a case report)

  • 치조제의 조직 변화, 의치 또는 지대치의 파절 등으로 인해 국소의치의 수리가 필요한 경우가 종종 발생한다. 기존 국소의치의 금속 구조물에 맞는 보철물을 제작하면 몇 가지 장점이 존재한다. 환자의 경제적 부담이 줄어들고, 새로운 의치를 제작하기 위해 여러 번 내원할 필요가 없다. 자연치아가 파절되어 의치를 수리할 때 사용되는 인공치는 자연치아와 유사한 형태를 갖기 어려우며, 심미적인 인공치 수리를 위해서는 환자 개개인의 치아 형태와 유사한 맞춤형 인공치 제작이 필요하다. 최근에는 CAD/CAM 기술을 이용한 기존 국소의치에 맞는 보철물을 제작하여 높은 유지력과 적합도를 확보할 수 있으며, 맞춤형 인공치아를 디자인하여 더욱 심미적이고 조화로운 의치 수리가 가능하다. 디지털 방식을 이용하여 기존 국소의치에 맞춤형 보철물과 인접치열을 미러링한 맞춤형 인공치를 제작하여 의치를 수리한 증례로 시간과 비용을 절약하고 과정을 단순화하면서 심미적, 기능적으로 만족스러운 결과를 얻었기에 이를 보고하는 바이다.
