Purpose: The purpose of this study was to survey the health behaviors related to reproductive health, reproductive health history, and sexual behaviors of college students in local areas. Method: With a survey design, 792 college students from C and D areas were recruited to assess health behaviors such as smoking and alcohol drinking, as well as history of reproductive health and sexual behaviors. The data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire from November to December, 2007. Result: Mean age of the students was 20.8(SD=1.96) and gender distribution was 29.2% for male and 70.8% for female. Unhealthy behaviors were alcohol drinking, smoking, excessive weight loss, and irregular exercise; unsafe sex practices were experience of sexual intercourse with multiple sex partners and history of sexually transmitted disease (STD). Male students had more alcohol drinking (p=.04), smoking(p<.001), excessive weight loss(p=.01), experience of sexual intercourse with multiple sex partners(p<.001), history of STD(p=.025) compared to females. On the other hands, female students participated in regular exercise less than males(p<.001). Conclusion: College students seem to perform unhealthy behaviors related to reproductive health and less effective way of safe sex practices. Therefore, a planned education program for reproductive health promotion operated by college level is needed to assess and improve the level of reproductive health in college students.

Objectives: Adolescents who engage in unhealthy behaviors are particularly vulnerable to anxiety. We hypothesized that participation in physical activity could influence the relationship between anxiety and unhealthy behaviors in adolescents. These behaviors include smoking, alcohol consumption, and unsafe sexual activity. Methods: This study included 50 301 students from the first year of middle school to the third year of high school, all from Korea. The unhealthy adolescent behaviors examined included current alcohol consumption, current smoking, and unsafe sexual behavior. Anxiety levels were assessed using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 questionnaire (GAD-7). Results: The participants had a mean age of 15.19 years and an average GAD-7 score of 4.23. No significant differences were observed in GAD-7 score among exercising participants when categorized by smoking status (p=0.835) or unsafe sexual behavior (p=0.489). In contrast, participants in the non-exercise group who engaged in these behaviors demonstrated significantly higher GAD-7 scores (p<0.001 and 0.016, respectively). The only significant interaction was found between unsafe sexual behavior and exercise (p=0.009). Based on logistic regression analysis, within the non-exercise group, significant positive associations were observed between current smoking and anxiety (odds ratio [OR], 1.36; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.18 to 1.57), as well as between unsafe sexual behavior and anxiety (OR, 1.33; 95% CI, 1.02 to 1.73). However, within the exercise group, no significant association was found between anxiety and either smoking or unsafe sexual behavior. Furthermore, no significant interaction was observed between unhealthy behaviors and exercise. Conclusions: These findings are insufficient to conclude that physical activity influences the relationship between unhealthy behaviors and anxiety.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identity the relationships among self reported health behaviors, menopausal symptoms, and sexual satisfaction in middle-aged women. Method: The subjects of this study were 155 women from 40 to 60 years. The data was analyzed using SPSS program for frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, ANOVA, Duncan and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: 1. The mean score of health behaviors was 3.10 out of maximum 4. 2. The mean score of self-reported menopausal symptoms was 1.73 out of maximum 2. 3. The mean score of sexual satisfaction was 2.73 out of maximum 4. 4. Women's degree of menopausal symptoms had negative correlations with the degree of health behaviors(r=-0.437, p<.001) and the degree of sexual satisfaction(r=-0.439, p<.001). The degree of health behaviors had a positive correlation with the degree of sexual satisfaction (r=0.470, p<.001). Conclusion: In conclusion, menopausal symptoms-based complaints by middle-aged women were negatively correlated to health behavior and sexual satisfaction. Therefore, health behavior should be considered when developing nursing strategies for middle-aged women, especially when dealing with menopausal symptoms and sexual satisfaction.

Purpose: This research was conducted to determine the effects on HPV knowledge, cervical cancer preventive behaviors, and sexual autonomy of female university students after they received sexual education to prevent HPV involved cervical cancer. Method: By using a non-equivalent control group pretest and posttest design, the experiment was conducted with a test group of 37 students and a control group of 39 students. Result: There were statistically significant increases in HPV knowledge (p=.003), cervical cancer preventive behaviors (p=.001), and sexual autonomy (p=.005) in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: It is concluded that this research is valid because this research program has proved to be effective in increasing HPV knowledge, cervical cancer preventive behaviors, and sexual autonomy, and it has provided a foundation to be used with other female university students.
Purpose: Due to today's sexual openness, college students may be exposed to frequent sexual relations, which can affect their adulthood reproductive health, pregnancy, and delivery. The purposes of this study were to explore the degrees of sexual knowledge, sexual attitudes, and reproductive health promoting behaviors in male and female college students and to identify their gender differences. Methods: A descriptive comparative design was used. A total of 181 college students(92 male and 89 female) were recruited. Data were collected between March 17 and April 8, 2016 using a convenience sample in a university located in Y city. Results: For male students, there was no correlation between two variables. For female students, reproductive health promoting behaviors had a significant relationship with sexual attitudes. Conclusion: These findings provide essential information that health care providers can use to increase their awareness of the importance of gender specific treatments when caring individuals.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the interaction between family and extrafamilial system factors with self system factors on adolescents' sexual risk behaviors. The study subjects were 365 middle school students in Chungbuk Province. The results of this research were as follows. Adolescents' sexual risk behaviors resulted from the interaction of self/family/extrafamilial system factors rather than from any one specific cause. Therefore, when counseling these students, multiple system factors should be considered in view of any other uni-focused counseling approach will lead to only a short-term behavior change.

This study investigates the detrimental effect of watching sexual content in three-dimensional (3D) moving pictures. An increasing amount of investment is put especially in 3D adult content to boost their 3D media industries. It is crucial that the effect of sexual contents on viewers be identified. In this experiment, a between-subject design was employed to analyze various effect of sexual content on participants whether they viewed the same stimuli in 3D or in 2D. In particular, the presence scaling was used to evaluate how real the video clip is. In addition, the permissiveness toward sexual behaviors and the level of sexual arousal were measured to examine the different effect of sexual content by dividing two separate groups in 2D and 3D condition. The result shows that those who watched a 3D video clip perceived higher sense of presence compared to those who watched a 2D video clip. Furthermore, subjects in 3D condition reported lower scores of permissive attitude toward sexual behaviors. This confirms that 3D display delivers more visual experience and has an impact on people in terms of perceiving sexual contents and changing their attitudes towards sexual behaviors.
Purpose: This study was done to investigate sexual behavior and sexual satisfaction according to gender difference in Korean patients with cancer Methods: In this study, a convenience sample of Korean patients with cancer who visited hospitals in J City was used. Data were collected between September and December 2012using structured questionnaires: Sexual frequency scale and General sexual satisfaction index (GSSI). Results: Over half of the patients reported loss of sexual desire and changes in sexual behaviors. There was a significant decrease in sexual satisfaction among the male patients, compared to the female patients (t=2.34, p=.020). There were significant correlations between sexual satisfaction and sexual behaviors (male patients r=.45, p<.001; female patients r=.59, p<.001). Conclusion: The results of this study demonstrate the need to take gender into account in developing interventions for patients with cancer. These results will also contribute to the development of improved interventions for sexual health care.
Using 497 university students in Korea, this study investigates factors related to university students' sexual behaviors. Multiple regression analyses are performed to assess best model on premarital sexual behavior. the results indicate that there is no difference on the levels of premarital sexual behavior for males and females, except on sexual intercourse. While love for the partner and relationship aspects are best predictors for less experienced males and followed by dating experience, for less experienced females, situational aspects and their own and partner's chastity are positively and negatively related to premarital sexual behaviors of highly experienced males and females, respectively. Other variables related to sexual permissiveness, in general, by sex are also discussed.
This study is an explorer study to investigate the experience of long term care hospital workers on the sexual behaviors of the elderly. The data were collected from August to October in 2019. The depth interview was implemented with using the semi structured questionnaires. The interview data collected from the participants were analyzed with using qualitative thematic analysis methods. The experience of long term care hospital workers regarding the elderly's sexual behaviors consisted of ten sub-categorized themes from the significant statements and was categorized into following four themes; 'Negative feelings related with elderlys' sexual behaviors', 'Difficulty of maintaining caring roles', 'Recognizing the absence of care for elderlys' sexual behavior', 'Accepting the therapeutic roles for elderlys' sexual behavior'. The findings could be the basic data for developing educational programs that help the long term care hospital workers understand the sexual behavior of the elderly.
