우리나라 택배산업의 경쟁력 제고요인 (Promotion of Competitiveness in Korean Parcel Express Service Industry)

  • The purpose of this paper is to suggest competitiveness promotion factors of korean Parcel Express Service Industry. This study considered in terms of three competitiveness promotion factors which are a firm's subjective factors, a industrial environment factors, and a governmental policy factors. According to analysis results of the factors, a firm's subjective factors(4.07 score) are scored the most ones of competitiveness promotion factors of korean Parcel Express Service Industry, to be compared with a industrial environment factors(3.89 score), with a governmental policy factors(3.76 score). Therefore, first of all, korean Parcel Express Service firms have to promote competitiveness through as follows : (1) speedy meeting to customer's needs, (2) to promote customer service, to reduce delivery lead time, (3) to procure reliability of Parcel Express Service with customers mutually, (4) strategy of global Parcel Express Service.

Optimal Dynamic Operating Policies for a Tandem Queueing Service System

  • This paper considers the problem of determining an optimal dynamic operating policy for a two-stage tandem queueing service system in which the service facilities (or stages) can be operated at more than one service rate. At each period of the system's operation, the system manager must specify which of the available service rates is to be employed at each stage. The cost structure includes an operating cost for running each stage and a service facility profit earned when a service completion occurs at Stage 2. We assume that the system has a finite waiting capacity in front of each station and each customer requires two services which must be done in sequence, that is, customers must pass through Stage 1 and Stage 2 in that order. Processing must be in the order of arrival at each station. The objective is to minimize the total discounted expected cost in a two-stage tandem queueing service system, which we formulate as a Discrete-Time Markov Decision Process. We present analytical and numerical results that specify the form of the optimal dynamic operating policy for a two-stage tandem queueing service system.

Consumer Preferences for Digital Cable Broadcasting Service in Korea: A Choice Experiment Study

  • A digital cable broadcasting service is a multimedia broadcasting service that provides high definition and various supplementary services by using digital transmission. Korea implemented a complete digital broadcasting service by 2012. This study applied a choice experiment to investigate consumer preferences, and it calculated the marginal willingness to pay for this service. Moreover, we employed a multinomial probit model to relax the assumption that all respondents have the same preference for attributes being valued. The results suggest that respondents value channels, definition, video-on-demand (VOD) service, pay-per-view (PPV) service, and commerce based on TV (T-commerce). On the other hand, online gaming may be less important as an attribute for digital cable broadcasting service in Korea.

이원적 인식에 따른 의류점포 서비스품질특성에 관한 연구 (Service Quality Characteristics based on Two Dimensional Recognition in Apparel Store)

  • The purposes of this study are to identify service quality elements using Kano's theory, and to examine differences in service quality characteristics among apparel store types. Women over 20 years-old from metropolitan areas in South Korea participated in the study and a quota sampling method was used. The questionnaire was composed of three sections; importance of quality, degree of satisfaction, and demographic factors. Data from 525 questionnaires were used for the statistical analysis. The results were as follows: First, four factors of service quality(sales person, variety of goods, policy, and facilities) were identified. According to Kano's quality elements, sales person was categorized into both one-dimensional quality and must-be quality, and variety of goods, policy, and facilities categorized into attractive quality. Second, sales person, in all store types, was included in one-dimension quality elements and sales person and variety of goods, in local store, were included in attractive quality element. Service policy, in chain store and local store, was included in attractive quality element. Findings of this study provide both industry and academic researchers with a guide to increase customer satisfaction in the store service strategies.

선전과 이탈이 있는 복수 서비스 대기행렬모형에 대한 시뮬레이션 분석 (Simulation Analysis for Multiple-Server Queueing Model with Advertising and Balking)

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyse the manager's policy to maximize the profit in a multiple-server queueing facility with a limited queue capacity. We assume that the level of advertizing effects on the arrival rate of customers to the facility. The model without ‘word of mouth effect’ is assumed that the arrival rate is independent on the qualify of service level. We estimate the service quality by the balking rate of customers from system. We extend this to the model with ‘word of mouth effect’. To achieve the maximum profit, the most important factor is the considerably high utilization of facility for both models. Given service rate, we should maintain an effective arrival rate to some extent. To this end, among the available options, an increase of advertizing effort is more desirable than reducing the fee if the service value of customers remains unchanged. We also investigate whether the variability of service time has a significant impact on determining the optimal policy. The cost of service variability is not so expensive as that in a single server model due to the reduced variability of service times in a multiple-server model.

인터넷전화의 정책 및 경영이슈측면에서의 이용자분석 (Policy and Managerial Issues of Voice over Internet Protocol(VoIP))

  • Which factors should influence consumer consideration to subscribe to Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP)? Policy issues, managerial concerns, and demographic variables are possible factors. This paper discusses policy and managerial issues regarding VoIP adoption. A model that explains VoIP adoption is proposed and tested. This study analyzes a survey of 750 prospective VoIP users in Korea. The testing is accompanied by logistic regression and discriminant analysis. The results show that trust in VoIP, relative comparison of Quality to fixed service, numbering plan, satisfactions of call Quality and customer services on both fixed and mobile services have impacts on the adoption of VoIP. Implications for VoIP providers and policy makers are presented.

  • 차세대 망(Next Generation Network)에서는 안정된 속도와 높은 수준의 보안 보장, 다양한 분야의 서비스 요구 등 고급화 되어가는 소비자의 요구를 만족시키기 위해, 자원과 정보에 대한 통합적인 관리가 필수적이다. 이와 관련하여 한정된 자원을 효율적으로 사용하기 위한 기술에 대한 관심이 커지고 있으며, 따라서 네트워크 서비스 정책이 중요하게 다루어지고 있다. 특히 최근에 차세대 망에서 사용자 맞춤 서비스인 DEN(directory-Enabled Network) 기반 개인화 서비스를 위해, 그리고 한정된 자원의 통합적이고 효율적인 사용과 관리를 위해 통신 서비스 환경과 사용자 요구(user on demand)에 따른 정책을 정의하고 적용하는 PBNM 기술이 매우 중요하게 되었으며, 이와 관련하여 PBNM 최적화를 어떻게 할 것인가에 대한 연구가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 DMTF(Distributed Management Task Forte)에서 표준화 한 DEN(Directory-Enabled Network)기반에서의 PBNM(Policy-Based Network Management)을 제안하였으며, 최적화된 시스템을 설계하였다.

소방학의 학문적 정체성 확립을 위한 소방정책론 정립방안 (Fire Service Policy Theory for Establishing Fire Science)

  • 한국의 소방학 관련 학과는 전국에 80여개가 운영되고 있지만, 교육과학기술부가 인정하는 학문분류체계표상의 분과 학문으로 등록되어 있지 않고, 한국연구재단의 학문 연구 분야별 분류표에도 등재되어 있지 못하다. 이에 최근 소방학의 학문적 정체성을 확립하여 소방학 전반에 걸친 학문적 발전 및 성숙과 소방정책의 발전을 도모하려는 노력이 진행되고 있다. 그러나 소방정책에 대한 기존 선행 연구 및 이론서의 부족으로 인해 소방정책론 정립에 많은 어려움이 있는 것이 사실이다. 따라서 행정학, 경찰행정학, 정치학 등 인접학문의 논의를 기초로 소방정책의 특수성을 감안한 소방정책론 정립이 요구되고 있다. 또한 기존의 화재진압, 화재예방, 구조 및 구급 정책에 국한하지 않고, 최근 소방정책 분야의 패러다임 변화를 적극 반영하여, 대국민 안전예방정책, 소방보험정책 등을 포함하는 소방정책론이 요구되고 있다. 이 연구는 소방정책론의 바람직한 정립 방향을 논의하는데 목적이 있다. 구체적으로 소방학에서의 소방정책론 정립의 필요성과 소방정책론 구성에 대한 논의를 바탕으로 하여, 바람직한 소방정책론 구성의 방향을 총론 및 각론으로 구분하며, 소방정책론 정립을 통하여 향후 한국소방정책의 발전방향을 살펴보고자 한다.

정신건강 치유를 위한 치유농장 서비스품질의 중요도-만족도 분석(IPA) (Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) of Agro-Healing Services Quality for Mental Health Care)

  • This study aimed to examine the policy priorities to enhance the service quality of the agro-healing for mental health care using Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The subjects were 67 people working in mental health institutions. The result of the IPA for the design of the agro-healing policy, in a total of 5 policy areas, the importance and performance were found to be 'above average', and it was confirmed that 'Keep up the Good Work' level. This is thought to have had a positive effect on raising the policy awareness of experts in mental health related institutions as the government's support for agro-healing and R & D increased according to the enactment of the act. Therefore, the results of this study provided basic information on the development and revitalization of agro-healing service quality for mental health care.

아동청소년정책 전달체계의 통합방안에 대한 비판적 고찰 (A Critical Perspective on the Integration of Service Delivery Systems in Child-Youth Policy)

  • 아동정책은 주로 보건복지부에서 요보호아동을 위한 사후적인 복지제도를 중심으로 집행된 반면 청소년정책은 국가청소년위원회에서 일반청소년을 위한 육성제도를 중심으로 실시되어 왔다. 하지만 아동청소년정책의 부처별 산발적 추진으로 인해 서비스 중복 현상이 나타나고 정책의 체계적 집행이 부족하였다. 따라서 일관성 있는 아동청소년정책의 추진을 위해 이명박 정부에서는 국가청소년위원회를 보건복지가족부로 흡수하면서 아동청소년정책의 통합작업을 진행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 아동청소년정책에서 통합의 의미가 무엇인지, 이명박 정부의 전달체계 통합방안의 문제를 검토하고 이를 보완하기 위한 방안이 무엇인지를 제언하였다. 바람직한 통합정책을 추진하기 위해서는 부처통합에 따른 보건복지가족부내의 아동정책과 청소년정책의 단순 결합을 넘어서 국가 전체의 인적자원개발계획과 경제정책을 고려하여 통합적인 아동청소년정책이 수립되도록 전면적인 재설계가 필요하다. 또한 정책대상의 비효율적인 중복이 강조되기보다는 정책의 공공성과 적정예산의 확보를 위해 아동청소년정책예산의 획기적인 증가가 선결되어야 한다는 점이 강조되었다.
