곡류 급원에 따른 흰쥐의 간과 혈중 지질농도에 관한 연구 (Effect of Cereals on Lipid Concentration of Liver and Serum the Rats)

  • The present study was performed to investigate the effect of cereal fiber on lipid concentration of liver and serum in rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats weighing 180$\pm$4g were divided into five groups by completely randomized block design : R, BR, B, W, and F. Each group fed a diet containing 0.7% cholesterol and a kind of cereal among rice(R), brown rice(BR), barley(B), whole wheat(W), and wheat flour(F) for 5 weeks. The results were summarized as follow : 1) Food intake. weight gain and feed efficiency ratio were not significantly different among the groups. 2) Fecal wet weight and dry weight were significantly higher in W group which fed the most amount of IDF(insoluble dietary fiber). 3) The weight of large intestine was significantly heavier in the W group compared to the others. But the weights of liver, stomach and small intestine were not significantly different among the groups. 4) Total lipid. triglyceride(TG) and total cholesterol(TC) content in liver were significantly different among the groups. The values were the lowest in the B group whose intake of SDF(soluble dietary fiber) was the highest 5) TC content in serum was not significantly different among the groups. TG content in serum was significantly lower in the rest groups than in the R group. HDL-c and free-c content in serum were significantly higher in the B group than in the rest groups. HDL-c/LDL-c, free-c/ester-c ratio were the highest in the B group but not significant. Above results show that the dietary fiber contained in cereals has physiological effects and they are different depending on fractions, IDF and SDF.

Lard와 Corn oil이 Ethanol로 처리한 Mouse의 혈청 총 Cholesterol함량 및 간 Thiobarbituric acid치에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Lard and Corn oil on Serum total Cholesterol Content and Liver Thiobarbituric acid Value in Mice treated with Ethanol)

  • The study carried out to clarify the effects of lard and corn oil on serum total cholesterol content and liver thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value in ethanol (Et-OH) fed mice. Results obtained from the present study were a follows: 1. serum total cholesterol content was considerably increased by 25% Et-OH administration in mice. In case of 25% Et-OH plus Lard group and Lard group both group were also increased significantly to compare with normal value of mice but 25% Et-OH plus lard group was shown very higher value rather than that of Lard group and Lard group was found similar tendency to compare with the 25% Et-OH plus saline group except to after the 1 day. 2. serum total cholestrol content of 25% Et-OH plus Corn oil group and corn oil group were also increased significantly to compare with normal value, but the 25% Et-Oh plus Corn oil group slightly higher level than that of Corn oil group except to after the 3 days. 3. Lard group was also very similar tendency to compare with the corn oil group except to the 3 days. 4. liver TBA value was increased by 25% Et-OH fed mice. 25% Et-OH plus Lard group and Lard group were also increased significantly to compare with liver TBA value in normal mice, but 25% Et-OH plus Lard group was found higher value rather than that of lard group and 25% Et-OH group (Control). Lard group was similar to that of Control group except to after the 1 day. And 25% Et-OH plus Corn oil group was considerably increased rather than that of Control group, and liver TBA value of the above group was similar to that of 25% Et-OH plus Lard group except to after the 3 days. Corn oil group was shown lower value than that of lard group, but it was no significant.

蔗糖과 葡萄糖이 白鼠肝臟 및 血淸 Cholesterol의 含量에 미치는 影響 (The Effect on the Change of Liver and Serum Cholesterol Contents of Albino Rats by the Feeding of the Suerose and Glucose)

  • 成熟雄性白鼠를 標準食餌群과 10%, 25% 및 40% 葡萄糖食餌群 그리고 10%, 25% 및 40% 蔗糖食餌群으로 나누어 各核當食餌를 2개월간 급식시킨후 肝臟 및 血淸中 cholesterol 含量을 觀察한바 다음과 같은 結論을 얻었다. 1. 肝臟內 總臟器當 cholesterol 含量은 total cholesterol 과 ester 型 cholesterol 은 標準食餌群에 比하여 40% 葡萄糖食餌群은 현저히 증가하였고 free 型 cholesterol 은 標準食餌群에 比하여 各食餌群 모두 증가하였다. 2. 血淸 100ml 中 cholesterol 含量은 total cholesterol 에서는 標準食餌群에 比하여 10% 葡萄糖食餌群 및 蔗糖食餌群은 감소하였으나 40% 蔗糖食餌群은 증가하였다. free型 cholesterol 은 10%, 40% 葡萄糖食餌群 및 10% 蔗糖食餌群에서는 減少하였고 ester型 cholesterol은 10%蔗糖食餌群 및 葡萄糖食餌群에서는 감소하였으나 40%蔗糖食餌群에서는 증가하였다. 이상의 결과로 보아 체내 cholesterol 含量은 食餌中 蛋白質의 量이 一定할때도 食餌性糖質의 量과 種類에 따라서 영향을 받는다는 事實을 알수 있다.

  • Total and esterified cholesterol content was determined in the rat administered animal and vegetable proteins for 16 weeks. The cholesterol biosynthetic activity of the liver was also measured in these rats by the $acetate-C^{14}$ incorporation rate. The results obtained were as follows. (1) Serum total cholesterol content was increased by the administration of animal proteins and decreased by that of vegetable proteins. (2) Liver cholesterol content was increased by animal proteins and decreased by at of vegetable proteins. (3) Cholesterol biosynthetic activity of the liver was increased by the animal proteins and decreased by the vegetable proteins.

우귀음이 백서의 갑상선기능저하에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Woogwi-eum(Yougui-yin) on the Hypothyroidism of Rats)

  • Objectives : In order to study experimentally the effects of Woogwi-eum(Yougui-yin) on hypothyroidism, ${T_3}-uptake$ content, $T_3$ content, $T_4$ content, TSH content, hematological values, enzyme activity, total cholesterol content, $Na^{+}$ content change in the serum and body weight of rats induced by thiouracil were measured after medication of extract of Woogwi-eum (Yougui-yin). Methods : Sparque-Dawley rats were used in this experiment and the rats were divided into normal, control and experimental groups. The hypothyroidism of control and experimental groups was induced by thiouracil, Woogwi-eum(Yougui-yin) extract was orally administered in the experimental groups for 20 days Results : In this experiment, the Woogwi-eum(Yougui-yin) treated group showed a significant increase in the serum ${T_3}-uptake$, TSH, RBC and hematocrit content, whereas a significant decrease in the serum CPK, ALP, LDH, total cholesterol content and the body weight was measured. Conclusions : According to the above results, it is suggested that Woogwi-eum(Yougui-yin) is partially effective to the hypothyroidism induced by thiouracil in rats. Therefore, Woogwi- eum(Yougui-yin) seems to be applicable to hypothyroidism in clinical practice.

대시호탕합소승기탕가감방(大柴胡湯合小承氣湯加減方)이 $CCl_4$ 및 d-galactosamine으로 유발된 흰쥐의 간손상(肝損傷)에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effects of Daesihotang-sosonggitang-gagambang on liver injury of rats induced by ccl4 and d-galactosamine)

  • Objectives : In order to investigate the curative effect of Daesihotang-sosunggitang-gagambang on the liver injury of rats induced by $CCl_4$ and d-galactosamine. Methods : All animals were divided into 5 groups, those were normal group(untreated), control group(administrated with 0.9% Saline solution), sample I group(65mg/kg administrated), sample II group(130mg/kg administrated), positive control group(administrated with 200mg/kg silymarine). After the liver injury of rats induced by ccl4 and d-galactosamine, and cheked the serum transaminase(GOT, GPT) alkaline phosphatase(ALP), lactic dehydrogenase(LDH) for enzyme activities and triglyceride, total cholesterol amounts for serum component were measured. Result : The inhibitory effects on the serum GOT, GPT, LDH, ALP activities, serum total cholesterol content level in liver injury of rats induced by ccl4 were noted in both sample I group and sample II group. The inhibitory effects on the serum GPT, LDH activities and serum total cholesterol content level in liver injury of rats induced by d-galactosamine were noted in both sample I group and sample II group. The inhivitory effects on the serum GOT activities and triglyceride content level in liver injury of rats induced d-galactosamine were noted in sample I group, but it is not recognizable statistically. In sample II, they were noted. Conclusions : Deesihotang-sosoonggitang-gagambang has treatment effect against liver injury in rats induced by ccl4 and d-galactosamine. So it is required to study about the actions of mutual relation of medicines and path-mechanism by experiment.

김 추출물이 갱년기 장애 유도 흰쥐의 혈 중 지질 변화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Porphyra tenera Extract on Serum Lipid Content in Ovariectomized Rats)

  • 폐경과 더불어 시작되는 폐경기의 에스트로겐 변화로 발생되는 건강 문제 중 심혈관계질환이 문제점으로 대두되고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구는 갱년기 장애 시 유발되는 체내 지질 함량 증가에 있어서 김 추출물이 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해 인위적 폐경을 유발시킬 수 있는 난소 절제 쥐에서 김 추출물의 혈 중 지질 함량 변화에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 그 결과 난소 절제에 의한 total-cholesterol의 증가가 김 추출물을 투여함으로써 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 특히 김 추출물 50 mg/kg bw/day에서 유의적으로 감소하였다. 혈 중성 지방에서는 김 추출물 농도별 투여한 OVX-PT50, OVX-PT200 모든 군에서 난소를 절제하지 않은 Sham군과 비슷한 수준으로 감소하는 경향을 보였고, 또한 혈 중 HDL-cholesterol은 김 추출물 투여로 인해 난소 절제한 군과 비교해서 높은 경향을 나타내었다. 이상의 결과는 갱년기 장애 시 유발되는 지질 대사 이상으로 오는 심혈관계질환에 김의 섭취가 유익한 결과를 줄 것으로 사료되며, 또한 잘못된 식습관으로 오는 비만이나 심혈관계 질환에도 유익한 효과를 가져다 줄 것으로 기대된다.

카페인 첨가식이로 사육한 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 식이성 비타민 E의 영향 (Effect of Dietary Vitamin E on Lipid Metabolism in Caffeine-Fed Rats)

  • 식이성 비타민 E의 급여수준이 카페인을 투여한 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향을 검토하고자, 카페인을 무첨가 또는 0.3% 첨가시킨 식이에 비타민 E를 각각 세가지 급여수준(37.5, 750 및 1,500mg/kg diet)으로 사육기간을 5주와 10주로 하여 사육한 결고는 다음과 같다. 체중증가량, 식이섭취량 및 식이효율은 카페인 급여군에서 비타민 E 단독부여군에 비해 유의하게 감소하였고, 체중 100g당 간과 신장의 중량은 카페인 첨가군에서 유의한 증가를 보였다. 혈청과 간의 total lipid 함량은 카페인 첨가군에서 비타민 E 급여수준을 증가시킬수록 감소하였다. 혈청중 cholesterol함량은 카페인을 첨가하였을 때는 증가하였으나, 간장중 cholesterol의 함량은 비타민 E의 급여수준을 증가시킴에 따라 감소하는 경향이었다. Triglyceride함량은 혈청과 간 모두 카페인 첨가군에서 유의하게 감소하였으며, 그 감소의 정도는 비타민 E 급여수준이 증가할수록 크게 나타났다. 또 혈청 alanine aminotransferase와 aspartate aminotransferase의 활성은 모든 실험군에서 유의한 차이가 없었다.

Effect of Fermented Chub Mackerel Extract on Lipid Metabolism of Rats Fed Diets without Cholesterol

  • The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of fermented chub mackerel extract (FCME) on lipid metabolism in rats fed diets without cholesterol. Four week-old male rats were divided into three groups of 10 rats with 0, 1% or 2% FCME supplementation to the diets. Purified diets were used in the present study. Feed and water were fed ad libitum. FCME supplementation had no effect on the activities of acetyl-CoA carboxylase, fatty acid synthetase, and the content of free cholesterol, triglyceride and phospholipid in the liver (p>0.05). 1% FCME supplementation significantly increased serum triglyceride (p<0.05) and hepatic 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase activity (p<0.05) with no effect on serum total cholesterol, free cholesterol and phospholipid concentration. FCME supplementation significantly reduced serum LDL+VLDL-cholesterol (p<0.01) and atherogenic index (p<0.01) with no effect on HDL-cholesterol. The current study showed that FCME inclusion might reduce the risk of atherosclerosis in rats fed diet without cholesterol.

돼지감자 및 치커리 섭취가 흰쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Jerusalem Artichoke and Chicory on Lipid Metabolism in Rats)

  • This study was carried out to determine the effects of Jerusalem artichoke (JA) powder , JA extract and chicory extract on lipid metabolism in SD rats. The experimental groups were divided into 4 groups ; control, JA powder JA extract and chicory extract. The animals were fed ad libitum each of the experimental diets for 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, the wet weights of cecum were significantly increased in rats fed JA powder and chicory extract. Cecal contents were slightly increased in all experimental groups. Serum HDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol/total cholesterol ratio and atherogenic index were significantly increased in the chicory extract group. Serum triglyceride, total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol levels were not different among the diet groups. Although the feeding of chicory extract significantly lowered total lipid of liver, there was no difference in levels of triglyceride and total cholesterol. The content of fecal lipiid and cholesterol were significantly higher in the Ja extract and chicory extract group than other groups. Fecal bile acid was significantly increased in the chicory extract group. These results indicate that chicory extract is an effective regimen for improvement of lipid metabolism in SD rats.
