CASA 기반 음성분리 성능 향상을 위한 형태 분석 기술의 응용 (Application of Shape Analysis Techniques for Improved CASA-Based Speech Separation)

  • We propose a new method to apply shape analysis techniques to a computational auditory scene analysis (CASA)-based speech separation system. The conventional CASA-based speech separation system extracts speech signals from a mixture of speech and noise signals. In the proposed method, we complement the missing speech signals by applying the shape analysis techniques such as labelling and distance function. In the speech separation experiment, the proposed method improves signal-to-noise ratio by 6.6 dB. When the proposed method is used as a front-end of speech recognizers, it improves recognition accuracy by 22% for the speech-shaped stationary noise condition and 7.2% for the two-talker noise condition at the target-to-masker ratio than or equal to -3 dB.

시간-주파수 스무딩이 적용된 소프트 마스크 필터를 이용한 단일 채널 음성 분리 (Single-Channel Speech Separation Using the Time-Frequency Smoothed Soft Mask Filter)

  • This paper addresses the problem of single-channel speech separation to extract the speech signal uttered by the speaker of interest from a mixture of speech signals. We propose to apply time-frequency smoothing to the existing statistical single-channel speech separation algorithms: The soft mask and the minimum-mean-square-error (MMSE) algorithms. In the proposed method, we use the two smoothing later. One is the uniform mask filter whose filter length is uniform at the time-Sequency domain, and the other is the met-scale filter whose filter length is met-scaled at the time domain. In our speech separation experiments, the uniform mask filter improves speaker-to-interference ratio (SIR) by 2.1dB and 1dB for the soft mask algorithm and the MMSE algorithm, respectively, whereas the mel-scale filter achieves 1.1dB and 0.8dB for the same algorithms.

  • 다공성 실리카 막을 졸겔법에 의해서 Si(${OC}_2H_5)_4-H_2O$ 로부터 제조하고, 막의 특성을 TG-DTA, XRD, IR, BET, SEN, TEM을 사용하여 조사하였다. 다공성 실리카 막 제조를 위한 Si(${OC}_2H_5)_4$ : $H_2O4$ : $H_2O$ : $C_2H_5{OH}$의 최적 몰비는 1 : 4.5 : 4 이었다. 100$^{\circ}C$~1100$^{\circ}C$~에서 열처리된 막의 비표면적은 3.8 $m^2$/g~902.3$m^2$/g 이었으며, 기공크기는 20$\AA$~50$\AA$이었다. 300$^{\circ}C$~~700$^{\circ}C$~범위에서 열처리된 막의 입자크기는 15nm~30nm이며, 열처리 온도가 증가하면 입자의 크기도 증가하였다. 이렇게 제조한 다공성 실리카 막으로 $H_2$/$N_2$ 혼합기체를 분리하는데 응용하였으며, 다공성 실리카 막에 의한 $H_2$/$N_2$혼합기체분리는 Knudsen flow와 surface flow에 의해서 일어나며 주로 surface flow에 의존하였다. 다공성 실리카 막의 $H_2$/$N_2$ 혼합기체에 대한 real separation factor($\alpha$)는 155.15 cmHg($\Delta$P)와 $25^{\circ}C$에서 5.17이었으며, real separation factor($\alpha$), head separation factor ($\beta$), tail separation factor$\bar{B}$)는 압력이 증가하면 증가하였다.

  • Ion-exchange polymeric stationary phases presenting amino acid and amino groups were prepared by the surface grafting of glycidyl methacrylate onto a silica gel surface and subsequent amination. Three kinds of amino acids-L-arginine (Arg), D-lysine (Lys), and D-histine (His)-were used in this study. An ion-exchange polymeric stationary phase presenting ethylene diamine (EDA) was also prepared by surface graft polymerization. Separation of the model proteins bovine serum albumin (BSA), chick egg albumin (CEA), and hemoglobin (Hb) was performed using the amino acid- and amine-derived columns. In separating the CEA/BSA mixture, the resolution time of BSA was longer than that of CEA when using the EDA column, whereas the resolution time of BSA was shorter than that of CEA when using the Arg, Lys, and His columns. In the separation of the Hb/BSA mixture, the resolution time of BSA was longer than that of Hb in the EDA column, whereas the resolution time of BSA was shorter than that of Hb in the amino acid columns (D-Lys, L-Arg, and D-His).

Ground Organic Monolith Particles Having a Large Volume of Macropores as Chromatographic Separation Media

  • A reaction mixture was developed for formation of soft organic monolith that was easily smashed, rinsed, refluxed, filtered, and dried to give monolith particles having high pore volume of macropores. This phase was almost without mesopores. The reaction mixture was composed of methacrylic acid, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, polyethylene glycol (porogen), and an initiator in a mixed solvent of toluene and isooctane. The selection of porogen and its amount was carefully carried out to obtain the optimized separation efficiency of the resultant phase. The median macropore size was 1.6 ${\mu}m$, and the total pore volume was 3.0-3.4 mL/g. The median particle size (volume based) was 15 ${\mu}m$, and the range of particle size distribution was very broad. Nevertheless the column (1 ${\times}$ 300 mm) packed with this phase showed good separation efficiency (N~10,000-16,000) comparable to that of a commercial column packed with 5 ${\mu}m$ C18 silica particles.

유전이동을 이용한 콜로이드 입자의 크기에 따른 분리 (The Separation of Colloid Particles of Different Sizes by Dielectrophoresis)

  • The separation of the small colloidal particles from the mixture of two different sized particles using AC dielectrophoresis phenomenon was studied. The spherical mono-dispersed polystyrene particles dispersed in pure water were put into a perfusion chamber on a substrate, and AC electric fold was applied to the glass substrate with Au electrodes in 4 mm distance. The AC frequency was fixed at 1 kHz and the intensity of the field was varied from 25 V/cm to 160 V/cm. After applying the AC field, the degree of the chain formation that resulted from the particle movements by dielectrophoresis was observed by optical microscope. The mixture of the $1\;{\mu}m\;and\;5\;{\mu}m$ sized polystyrene particles at 0.5 vol% concentrations for each size was set in the dielectrophoresis conditions of 1 kHz and 100 V/cm. At this condition large $5\;{\mu}m$ sized polystyrene particles formed chains, on the contrary the $1\;{\mu}m$ sized polystyrene particles formed no chains. After water flowing for 20 min, it was found that small particles that were floating in the chamber had been removed by the water flowing.

  • The pervaporation behavior of EtOH/Water mixture through IPN membranes was predicted in this study. The pervaporation characteristics of single polymer membrane were modeled according to the "six-coefficients model" proposed by Brun. In the case of the IPN membrane, two models were proposed according to the phase structure of the IPN. For a uniphase membrane with no phase separation, the compositional average of the single polymer membrane was used. in the case of the phase separated IPN's two cases existed. The first was the island and sea model: in which one phase was continuous and the other was dispersed. The second was the co-continuous model where two continuous phases existed. For these cases, the permeation rate and the separation factor of the IPN membrane were calculated using the experimental sorption data and the cornponent polymer properties. Comparison with the experimental data indicated that these models could be used to predict the performances of IPN membranes depending on the morphology of the IPN.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a teaching strategy focused on problem solving process and explore its effects on science creative problem solving ability, science process skills, science academic achievements and scientific attitudes of students after applying it. Teaching strategy focused on problem solving process employed brainstorming and PMI thinking strategies. The participants were the third grade students of both an experimental class(26 students) and a comparative class(25 students) at the S elementary school located in Goyang-City, Kyonggi Province. The developed strategy was applied to the experimental class for 9 periods of 'Separation of mixture' unit. The results of the tests on the science creative problem solving ability, the science process skills, scientific achievement and scientific attitude were statistically higher in the experimental class.

Rational Design of Extractive Distillation Toward Enhanced Separation of HFPO from HFP/HFPO Mixture

  • Hexafluoropropyleneoxide ($C_3F_6O$, HFPO) is highly expensive and it may be used as a raw material for the synthesis of various fluorine based compounds. Currently, extractive distillation method has gained considerable attention to collect the HFPO from a mixture of HFPO / hexafluoropropylene ($C_3F_6$, HFP). Optimized operating conditions are studied using a theoretical method for the extraction process. Among available solvents for the purification process, the use of 1,1-dichloro-1-fluoroethane exhibits a high purity of HFPO as a top product and minimize the required heat duty. Since the boiling point of the solvent increases as the pressure in the column increases, the enhanced extractive capability of the solvent led to the high purity of HFPO at the high pressure.

  • 대량발효 후 미세여과막과 MWCO 100K, 50K의 한외여과막을 이용한 막분리시스템을 적용하여 MTGase를 분리한 결과 pore size 1.6, $0.7\;{\mu}m$의 cellulose fiber 재질의 예비여과막과 $0.45\;{\mu}m$ cellulose acetate재질의 미세여과막을 이용하여 얻어진 분리액을 MWCO 100K와 50K를이용하여 농축시킨 결과 enzyme의 농도가 1.29 units/ml, 효소 비활성도는 약 0.2 units/mg protein 으로 나타났으며 초기 배양액에 비해 3.7배의 농축효과를 보였다.
