  • Most of sensorless algorithm are based on motor equations where it is necessary to find the phase voltage and current. However, measurement error and environmental noise deteriorate the accuracy of speed estimation of PMSM. This paper investigates speed sensorless control of PMSM for noise rejection in harsh environment. The proposed algorithm is based on the interaction between electrical parameter and random noise. The evolution strategy is used for minimizing the noise effect. The proposed algorithm is verified through simulation and experiment.

  • This paper is proposed an efficiency optimization control algorithm for a synchronous reluctance motor(SynRM) which minimizes the copper and iron losses. ALso, this paper presents a sensorless control scheme of SynRM using artificial neural network(ANN). The proposed algorithm allows the electromagnetic losses in variable speed and torque drives to be reduced while keeping good torque control dynamics. The control performance of ANN is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. Analysis results are presented to show the validity of the proposed algorithm

  • This paper proposes a new speed sensorless control method of a permanent magnet synchronous motor using an instantaneous reactive power. In the proposed algorithm, the line currents are estimated by a observer and the estimated speed can be yielded from the voltage equation because the information of speed is included in back emf. But the speed estimation error between the estimated and the real speeds is occured by errors due to measuring the motor parameters and sensing the line current and the input voltage. To minimize the speed estimation error, the estimated speed is compensated by using an instantaneous reactive power. In this paper, the proposed algorithm is not affected by mechanical motor parameters because the mechanical equation is not used. The effectiveness of algorithm is confirmed by the experiments.

  • In this paper, a speed sensorless algorithm for a high-speed induction motor is proposed. The proposed algorithm simply estimates rotor speed by integrating the deviation between the command current value of a controller and the real current value of the motor. To estimate rotor speed without a speed sensor, a fuzzy speed controller and a neural network speed estimator are applied. Computer simulation and implementation of the proposed system is described.

  • 스위치드 릴럭턴스 모터(이하 SRM) 구동을 위한 센서리스 설계는 노이즈에 민감하기 때문에 이에 대한 강인성과 신뢰성이 있어야 한다. SRM 구동시에 이들 성분은 소선호 전자회로와 함께 대전류 전력회로와 근접되어 전기적으로 노이즈 환경을 만든다. 또한, 쇄교 인덕턴스와 유한 커플링 캐패시턴스에 의해 어떤 저전압 전류와 전압 측정회로에 노이즈를 일으킬 수 있다. 노이즈를 포함한 전류와 전압은 센서리스 알고리즘의 입력 값으로 사용되기 때문에 위치추정에 대한 오차를 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 입력 노이즈에 대한 높은 강인성과 저항성을 기술하며 퍼지 논리 기반 회전자 위치 추정 알고리 즘과 관측기 모델이 입력 데이터의 오차를 줄이기 위해 사용하였다.

  • The mechanical informations such as the rotor speed and angle are required to operate the Cylindrical Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM). A resolver or encoder is typically used to supply the mechanical informations. This position sensor adds length to the machine, raises system cost, increases rotor inertia and requires additional devices. As the result, there has been a significant interest in the development of sensorless strategies to eliminate the position sensor. This paper presents an implementation of the new sensorless speed comtrol scheme for a PMSM. In the proposed algorithm, the line currents are estimated by a observer and the estimated speed can be yielded from the voltage equation because the information of speed is included in back emf.   • A sensorless speed control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) which utilizes MRAS based scheme to estimate rotor speed and position is presented. Considering an error between real and estimated rotor position values, a state equation of PMSM in the synchronous d-q reference frame is represented. A state equation of model system which uses estimated speed and nominal parameter values is expressed. To minimize the errors between the derivatives of d-q axis currents of real and model system, MRAS based adaptation mechanisms for the estimation of rotor speed and position are derived. On the other hand, for the acceleration stage of motor just before the sensorless operation, an acceleration scheme using only d-axis current control is proposed. To show the validity of the proposed scheme, experimental works are carried out and evaluated. During acceleration stage, the acceleration scheme using only d-axis current command shows good acceleration performance and controlled current level. For the sensorless operation, at low speed (5% of rated speed), a good performance is observed.

  • 유도 모터의 센서리스 벡터 제어시스템은 모터의 시정수를 이용하여 자극의 위치를 추정하는 제어시스템으로 중고속 영역의 경우 제어가 잘 구현된다. 그러나 저속 영역의 경우 모터로부터 얻는 전압 정보가 작아 센서리스 벡터제어 구현이 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 3Hz이하의 저속영역에서 센서리스 벡터제어의 문제점을 개선시키기 위한 줌잉 알고리즘을 이용한 퍼지 논리 제어기를 제시하였으며 제어기 성능이 향상됨을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

  • Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) have higher torque and superior output power per volume than other types of AC motors. They are commonly used for applications that require a large output power and a wide range of speed. For precise control of PMSMs, knowing the accurate position of the rotor is essential, and normally position sensors such as a resolver or an encoder are employed. On the other hand, the position sensors make the driving system expensive and unstable if the attached sensor malfunctions. Therefore, sensorless algorithms are widely researched nowadays, to reduce the cost and cope with sensor failure. This paper proposes a sensorless algorithm that can be applied to a wide range of speed. The proposed method features a robust operation at low-speed as well as high-speed ranges by employing a gain adjustment scheme and intermittent voltage pulse injection method. In the proposed scheme the position estimation gain is tuned by a closed loop manner to have stable operation in tough driving environment. The proposed algorithm is fully verified by various experiments done with a 1 kW outer rotor-type PMSM.

  • In this paper, a new algorithm for sensorless speed control of switched reluctance motor (SRM) is proposed. It is based on the measurement of initial rate of change of phase current. The initial rate of rise of phase current mainly depends up on the phase inductance at the time instant when the phase is excited. Therefore, the measurement of initial di/dt permits rotor position estimation, which is used to trigger the next phase. In the proposed technique, there is no need to generate additional current pulses when a phase is not excited. Therefore, this scheme does not introduce the unwanted braking torque. Also, only one current measurement is made every time a phase is excited. This reduces the computational load on the micro-controller and enhances the speed range of the sensorless drive. By using this scheme it is possible to implement the sensorless control of SRM using low cost micro-controller.
