In wireless sensor networks, various schemes have been proposed to store and process sensed data efficiently. A Data-Centric Storage(DCS) scheme assigns distributed data regions to sensors and stores sensed data to the sensor which is responsible for the data region overlapping the data. The DCS schemes have been proposed to reduce the communication cost for transmitting data and process exact queries and range queries efficiently. Recently, KDDCS that readjusts the distributed data regions dynamically to sensors based on K-D tree was proposed to overcome the storage hot-spots. However, the existing DCS schemes including KDDCS suffer from Query Hot-Spots that are formed if the query regions are not uniformly distributed. As a result, it causes reducing the life time of the sensor network. In this paper, we propose a new DCS scheme, called TPDCS(Time-Parameterized DCS), that avoids the problems of storage hot-spots and query hot-spots. To decentralize the skewed. data and queries, the data regions are assigned by a time dimension as well as data dimensions in our proposed scheme. Therefore, TPDCS extends the life time of sensor networks. It is shown through various experiments that our scheme outperform the existing schemes.

There is a growing interest in ubiquitous-related research and applications. Among them, GPS-based LBS have been developed and used actively. Recently, with the increase of large size buildings and disastrous events, indoor spaces are getting attention and related research activities are being carried out. Core technologies regarding indoor applications may include 3D indoor data modeling and localization sensor techniques that can integrate with indoor data. However, these technologies have not been standardized and established enough to be applied to indoor implementation. Thus, in this paper, we propose a method to build a relatively simple 3D indoor data modeling technique that can be applied to indoor location based applications. The proposed model takes the form of 2D-based multi-layered structure and has capability for 2D and 3D visualization. We tested three prototype applications using the proposed model; CA(cellular automata)-based 3D evacuation simulation, network-based routing, and indoor moving objects tracking using a stereo camera.
There are many types of power facilities such as transformers, switches, and energy storage devices in the micro grid environment. However, with the development of IoT technology, opportunities to acquire sensor information such as temperature, pressure, and humidity are provided. In the existing micro grid environment, the communication protocols such as MMS transport protocol in IEC 61850 standard is applied in accordance with the integrated operation between the power facilities and the platform. Therefore, to accommodate IoT data, a gateway technology that can link IoT data to a data collection device (FEP) based on IEC 61850 is required. In this paper, we propose IEC 61850 based IoT gateway platform prototype for microgrid operating system linkage. The gateway platform consists of an IoT protocol interface module (MQTT, CoAP, AMQP) and database, IEC 61850 server. For databases, We used open source based NoSQL databases, Hbase and MongoDB, to store JSON data. We verified the interoperability between the IoT protocol and the IEC 61850 protocol using Sisco's MMS EASY Lite.

PURPOSE: The definition and scope of biofeedback are broad and lack a clear framework. Therefore, efforts are needed to clearly understand the exact range and definition of biofeedback based on the research and development conducted to date. Thus, the purpose of this study was to arrive at the definition and scope of biofeedback through a literature review and analysis of its application methods. METHODS: This study is a systematic literature review conducted to understand the various types and effects of biofeedback. International databases such as Google Scholar and PubMed were used. Domestic databases utilized for keyword searches included the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS) and the National Digital Science Library (NDSL). Quality assessment of the selected studies in the selection process was done using the Cochrane risk of bias, and the research was analyzed according to the population, intervention, control, and outcomes (PICO) format. RESULTS: Studies conducted between 2019 and 2021 were selected, with 4 papers falling under physiological classifications and 7 under biomechanical classifications. The quality assessment results showed that random sequence generation, allocation concealment, performance bias, and reporting bias were unclear. Detection bias was moderate, and attrition bias and other biases were low. Out of the 11 papers, 9 dealt with physical function outcomes, 5 with daily life activities, and 3 with mental functions. CONCLUSION: Physiological biofeedback tended to influence psychological factors more than physical functions, while biomechanical biofeedback tended to have a positive impact on physical functions.
In principle, data from all databases and systems managed by the Ministry of Defense or public institutions must be guaranteed to have a certain level of quality or higher, but since most information systems are built and operated, data quality management for all systems is realistically limited. Most defense data is not disclosed due to the nature of the work, and many systems are strategically developed or integrated and managed by the military depending on the need and importance of the work. In addition, many types of data that require data quality management are being accumulated and generated, such as sensor data generated from weapon systems, unstructured data, and artificial intelligence learning data. However, there is no data quality management guide for defense data and a guide for selecting quality control targets, and the selection criteria are ambiguous to select databases and systems for quality control of defense data according to the standards of the public data quality management manual. Depends on the person in charge. Therefore, this paper proposes criteria for selecting a target system for quality control of defense data, and describes the relationship between the proposed selection criteria and the selection criteria in the existing manual.

As the automobile industry and technologies are developed, driver's tend to more concern about service matters than mechanical matters. For this reason, interests about recognition of human knowledge and emotion to make safe and convenient driving environment for driver are increasing more and more. recognition of human knowledge and emotion are emotion engineering technology which has been studied since the late 1980s to provide people with human-friendly services. Emotion engineering technology analyzes people's emotion through their faces, voices and gestures, so if we use this technology for automobile, we can supply drivels with various kinds of service for each driver's situation and help them drive safely. Furthermore, we can prevent accidents which are caused by careless driving or dozing off while driving by recognizing driver's gestures. the purpose of this paper is to develop a system which can recognize states of driver's emotion and attention for safe driving. First of all, we detect a signals of driver's emotion by using bio-motion signals, sleepiness and attention, and then we build several types of databases. by analyzing this databases, we find some special features about drivers' emotion, sleepiness and attention, and fuse the results through Multi-Modal method so that it is possible to develop the system.
Skyline Query processing is important to wireless sensor applications in order to process multi-dimensional data efficiently. Most skyline researches about sensor network focus on minimizing the energy consumption due to the battery powered constraints. In order to reduce energy consumption, Filtering Method is proposed. Most existing researches have assumed a snapshot skyline query processing and do not consider continuous queries and use data generated in ancestor node. In this paper, we propose an energy efficient method called Bottom up filtering tuple selection for continuous skyline query processing. Past skyline data generated in child nodes are stored in each sensor node and is used when choosing filtering tuple. We also extend the algorithms, called Support filtering tuple(SFT) that is used when we choose the additional filtering tuple. There is a temporal correlation between previous sensing data and recent sensing data. Thus, Based on past data, we estimate current data. By considering this point, we reduce the unnecessary communication cost. The experimental results show that our method outperforms the existing methods in terms of both data reduction rate(DRR) and total communication cost.
In sensor networks, many methods have been proposed to process in-network aggregation effectively. Unlike general aggregation queries, skyline query processing compares multi-dimensional data for the result. Therefore, it is very difficult to process the skyline queries in sensor networks. It is important to filter unnecessary data for energy-efficient skyline query processing. Existing approach like MFTAC restricts unnecessary data transitions by deploying filters to whole sensors. However, network lifetime is reduced by energy consumption for many false positive data and filters transmission. In this paper, we propose a bottom up filtering-based skyline query processing algorithm of in-network for reducing energy consumption by filters transmission and a PBFiltering technique for improving performance of filtering. The proposed algorithm creates the skyline filter table (SFT) in the data gathering process which sends from sensor nodes to the base station and filters out unnecessary transmissions using it. The experimental results show that our algorithm reduces false positives and improves the network lifetime over the existing method.

It is important to develop a digital SOC (Social Overhead Capital) maintenance system for preemptive maintenance in response to the rapid aging of social infrastructures. Abnormal signals induced from structures can be detected quickly and optimal decisions can be made promptly using IoT sensors deployed on the structures. In this study, a digital SOC monitoring system incorporating a multimetric IoT sensor was developed for long-term monitoring, for use in cloud-computing server for automated and powerful data analysis, and for establishing databases to perform : (1) multimetric sensing, (2) long-term operation, and (3) LTE-based direct communication. The developed sensor had three axes of acceleration, and five axes of strain sensing channels for multimetric sensing, and had an event-driven power management system that activated the sensors only when vibration exceeded a predetermined limit, or the timer was triggered. The power management system could reduce power consumption, and an additional solar panel charging could enable long-term operation. Data from the sensors were transmitted to the server in real-time via low-power LTE-CAT M1 communication, which does not require an additional gateway device. Furthermore, the cloud server was developed to receive multi-variable data from the sensor, and perform a displacement fusion algorithm to obtain reference-free structural displacement for ambient structural assessment. The proposed digital SOC system was experimentally validated on a steel railroad and concrete girder bridge.

In distributed wireless sensor network, it is difficult to transmit and analyze the entire stream data depending on limited networks, power and processor. Therefore it is suitable to use alternative stream data processing after classifying the continuous stream data. We propose a classification framework for continuous multivariate stream data. The proposed approach works in two steps. In the preprocessing step, it takes input as a sliding window of multivariate stream data and discretizes the data in the window into a string of symbols that characterize the signal changes. In the classification step, it uses a standard text classification algorithm to classify the discretized data in the window. We evaluated both supervised and unsupervised classification algorithms. For supervised, we tested Bayesian classifier and SVM, and for unsupervised, we tested Jaccard, TFIDF Jaro and Jaro Winkler. In our experiments, SVM and TFIDF outperformed other classification methods. In particular, we observed that classification accuracy is improved when the correlation of attributes is also considered along with the n-gram tokens of symbols.
